The Knightley Family Album: Volume XI

Bertram has settled back home with his mum and step-dad, and although he hasn’t yet found his dream job - as a sportsman - he decides that he’s wasted enough time, and asks girlfriend Beth out on a Very Important Date.

They head to the newly-opened ‘Say Cheese!’ - a cosy, family-run pizzeria (courtesy of @deedee-sims​​, with a little tweaking and added CC from me) in Sanditon.

It’s OK, Bertram, I’m right here with you, don’t be nervous!

Oh dear, not a great start to a romantic evening.

Maybe a pizzeria isn’t the best place to confess that you don’t actually like pizza?

After some cute romantic moments...

...it’s time for the big surprise!

I really don’t think there’s any need to look so anxious, Bertram...

No reason at all - it was a  fervent ‘yes’!

Time to hit the nightlife of Sanditon, by way of celebration!

Old flame Anna is making a new friend it seems, in Townie Matthew Smith (no relation).

Holy smokin’ vampires, they stayed out all night!

The next evening, Bertram’s dad Edmund drops by to congratulate him. Now, it’s just a case of waiting for Beth to graduate, before their new life together can start!

Matthew Smith is working on getting to know his new stepchildren, learning new skills, and making himself useful around the house. The yard needs a lot of work! Once you smash up the asphalt, there's not any real topsoil underneath. Still, he doesn't represent the garden club for nothing.

The kids are in good moods from a succession of dates last time I played the house, and Sean reaps the benefit when he gets the mail. He leaves for college at the end of the round (due to his dating Delta; who they make friends with determines how old they officially are), so it's not like he won't have a good use for them.
