Hey Asher here with yet another VN reccomendation!
This one here I'm really suprised to have been able to play for free! Truly, among the voice acting, art, music, and just the general narrative writing and production it is up to professional standard.
Won't rant too much about it here to let you experience it for yourself but, definitely not for the faint of heart(sure, with the triggers listed on the page, but also generally in terms of how purely emotionally impactful it was); had to take a moment post-play to recollect my thoughts.
Really, a good pick if you're one to enjoy lab/scientist/scp like themed games or the dystopian genre. It is also a story of empowerment, I feel. Though I'm myself not experienced with these myself, there are themes resonant to neurodivergent experiences too

We have Optimus boob lover, we have smokescreen boob lover. I hereby formally request for the ratchet with a big tiddied s/o continuation.
[tfp] ratchet x human!reader explicit, 18+ content
Tumblr media
cw: breast play, a pinch of possessiveness
word count: 1100
so who should the next tiddy obsessed bot be?
Tumblr media
The silence in Ratchet’s habsuite is broken only by his muttering under his breath. Digits sluggishly swipe at the datapad screen, optics intently scanning the text written in the Cybertronian alphabet — still not entirely familiar to you. Sitting on his lap, however, you’re able to decipher some key words, piecing the rest together with educated guesses to form a somewhat coherent whole, thanks to the lessons taught by none other than your overworked partner.
Trying to keep up with the movement of his optics is currently the most interesting activity available to you. Sure, you finally managed, after many requests and a few stolen kisses, to force him to leave his workstation before he took root there forever. What you didn’t expect was that once he was safe within the four walls of his habsuite, the work would follow him, tormenting his processor even during supposed breaks.
The scientific jargon he’s mumbling is indecipherable to you, but from what you can gather on the datapad, Ratchet is working on completing a formula for synthetic energon. Admirable, yes, but also incredibly irresponsible, considering he hasn’t recharged in weeks, always in a state of readiness to push his processor further. You’d held a small, timid hope that once you were finally alone together, his focus might shift to something else. Like, for instance… you.
You’d come to terms with the fact that sitting on mass-displaced Ratchet’s lap would have to be enough, though your jealousy of his obsession with science toyed with your understanding. Seriously? Having full access to a whole person, your partner, and not being tempted into a round or two? Or at least some cuddling? A nap? Only Ratchet could pull that off.
You sigh quietly and pull your phone from your pocket, bored with following the text. You snuggle deeper into his chassis, one last, silent signal for him to snap out of it and pay attention to you, and tap into the first social media app that comes to mind, already bored after just a few scrolls. It’s shaping up to be a long day.
“Oh, of course, why didn’t I think of that sooner…” he mutters for what feels like the thousandth time today, returning to his much more productive scrolling.
You’re just about to try once more to divert his attention when you suddenly feel a large, masculine servo find the hem of your shirt. Without breaking visual focus from his screen, it slides beneath the fabric with graceful, uncanny precision, abandoning its passive rest on the edge of the berth.
“Ratchet?” you ask, not understanding his motives at all.
The medic doesn’t intend to explain either. In response, you get only a distracted hum.
And the servo climbs higher, bypassing your stomach and sternum until it finally finds your left breast.
“Honey, if you want something other than science, you can just say so,” you try again. You tilt your head up, but it seems your partner’s processor is lost in another world entirely.
Oh. So the under-the-shirt offensive was being carried out on autopilot. You wanted to laugh at how ridiculous it all was, but if his servos instinctively sought a task, perhaps to help him focus, you didn’t want to rob him of that small pleasure. Besides, you appreciated the attention, even if it was synthetic.
At least it gave you material to tease him with later.
The servo sneaks behind your bra and latches onto your breast, immediately applying pressure to the soft flesh. Digits sink into it like a sponge, then release, only to squeeze again, this time with his thumb gently stroking the top of it.
And despite having no doubt that your breasts are currently being used as Ratchet’s personal stress balls, he still maintains a calculated gentleness in everything he does; years of medical practice sculpting his servos into tools of ever finer precision.
That doesn’t change the fact that he’s still providing stimulation, sending lightning bolts of need racing down to the lower part of your stomach, where they gather with every squeeze and teasing flick of your nipple, sometimes so intentional, there’s no way you could chalk it up to mindless distraction. He was too good at this, your modest Casanova, for you to forgive him for toying with your poor, overstimulated breast, squeezed and released over and over again.
No longer able to sit still, you start squirming in his lap. Any concern about disturbing his work is now pushed aside, as he plays with your desire and walks the fine line of your patience. You try to slide away, escape the torture, but Ratchet surprises you once more, lowering his chin onto the top of your head, effectively pinning you in place on his lap.
“You’re not going anywhere, sweetspark,” he whispers.
“Oh, so now science’s not the only thing on your mind?” you reply with sarcasm, earning a soft snort of amusement.
“It hasn’t been for a while now,” he confesses. He squeezes your breast again and kisses the top of your head. “Primus, they’re so soft,” he murmurs.
You hadn’t even noticed when he set the datapad aside, freeing his other servo, which immediately gets to work, wrapping around your other breast. Now he kneads them in sync, but every so often his digits also pinch at a nipple, making you squirm from the electric buildup and warmth now churning just above your crotch.
“You promised me a nice break from work, didn’t you?” he asks between a cascade of kisses trailing down your neck. “I’m still waiting for you to make good on that promise.”
“Finally! I was starting to think you’d never tear yourself away from that datapad.”
With your fingers, you give him a quick signal to lift his servos off your breasts for a moment, just long enough for you to shift and turn around, now straddling his lap, able to admire his tired but still awe-struck faceplate, brimming with love and desire. Servos immediately return to their rightful place, massaging the plush flesh, while you begin working to get rid of your pants.
“Go on, sweetspark,” he whispers right by your neck. “Let me see them.”
So you grant his request, pulling off your shirt and bra first. Now, the only thing covering you are his servos, clutching your breasts in a possessive, primitive grip.
“Beautiful. The most wonderful,” he says, his optics locked on your chest like a predator fixated on prey.
He releases one servo, but before you can feel the cold air of the habsuite nip at your sensitive skin, Ratchet engulfs one of your breasts with his intake, at the same time retracting his interface panel. A surprisingly swollen spike drops against your bare stomach, smearing transfluid across your skin like pink paint on a canvas — signaling clearly that he needs all of you, and that your breasts alone are no longer enough.

WIP excerpt for Ceswest behind the cut; “love is being stupid together”. (( chrono || non-chrono ))
“Were you under the impression he didn’t?” Lex asks dubiously, cocking an eyebrow at him.. Lennox does talk to him as of the day before yesterday, so if Superman hasn’t been eavesdropping while he’s been stalking them, that’s hardly on him.
“Oh,” Superman says, and just barely, barely frowns. It might be the closest thing to a negative emotion that Lex has actually seen from the man since he met Lennox, aside from an instance or two of mild disapproval over his parenting choices. “. . . what was his first word?”
“‘Father’,” Lex says.
Superman’s barely-there frown–deepens, just for a moment, and then clears away.
“Who’s Wendy? A new assistant?” he asks. Lex suffers.
“I really cannot imagine why you think I’d hire a ‘Wendy’ instead of a ‘Prudence’ or ‘Chastity’,” he replies dryly. He hadn’t thought that was a particularly subtle theming in his more useful employees. Mostly because just about all of his more useful employees don’t want to use their legal names for one reason or another–or just don’t have “legal” names–but still. “I’m referring to genre television. There’s a werewolf, apparently. Or a stalker. I’m not entirely clear, admittedly, but it’s a step up from the sitcoms.”
“. . . he likes those?” Superman asks hesitantly. Lex cannot fathom why the man asks it like that. “Which ones?”
“Ask his watch history, Boy Scout, I don’t track them,” Lex replies still more dryly.
Well, he does, technically, but only to filter for physiological-age-appropriateness and verify any scientific claims as necessary–and also, since the day before yesterday, to understand the genuinely baffling references that Lennox has been making since he started speaking. But god forbid any child of his get the idea that anything along the lines of “left brain/right brain” or “sugar rushes” or “the recent increase in recorded cases of this historically-underdiagnosed medical condition means this medical condition is entirely the fault of modern vaccines and artificial flavoring” are actual things, much less hear any survivorship bias nonsense.
Not that he wants to be feeding any child of his artificial flavorings either way, but that’s besides the point. He also doesn’t want his child operating on pop culture’s bastardized version of the scientific method, which is absolutely the larger concern–especially, again, considering the nuances of Lennox’s personal biology on a yellow-sun planet.
“Mm,” Superman says. It is not, as a response, particularly illuminating. When does Superman ever say anything useful, though?
. . . admittedly, the clarification that Lennox’s heartbeat was not in fact a heart defect saved him some time and effort. Technically. Arguably.
Besides the point.
“I did bring you something,” Superman says as he turns back towards Lennox and goes to one knee on the floor in front of him, though he doesn’t get especially close to him in the process and leaves a good eight feet on the floor between them. He sets the tote bag on the floor beside himself; Lex eyes it with all due disdain and suspicion. A tote bag. Not even one made out of any kind of alien fabric, as far as he can tell from a basic visual inspection. “It’s alright if you don’t like it, but would you like to see what it is?”
Lennox doesn’t look at Superman; doesn’t acknowledge the question, or even the fact that he’s spoken at all. He’s abandoned the last remnants of Lex’s pilfered breakfast and moved on to rearranging his scavenged art supplies, and is devoting far more attention to the process than he ever has to Superman. The reaction is unsurprising, and in fact expected. Superman has yet to show any sign of being bothered by Lennox ignoring him, no matter how many times Lennox has done it.
This time, though, Superman . . . hesitates, for a moment.
And Lex–frowns.
That’s . . . different. A deviation in behavior.
And not on Lennox’s part, obviously.

the idea that 'science' is an unmitigated and inherent social good---a politically neutral and universally beneficial process of accumulating knowledge---is wildly ahistorical and dangerously, wilfully ignorant of the role that science and its purveyors / practitioners have played in imperial and colonial expansion. warwick anderson went so far as to say that colonial medicine was better understood as a discourse of settlement than one of health promotion, & we can see this quite easily in, for example, french doctors' use of the nostalgia diagnosis to guide colonial policy in algeria in the 1830s, attempting to securely settle a french population there; or in the development of a science of 'water cures', spa treatments considered to mitigate the insalubrious effects of foreign (particularly tropical) environments, for which the french army by the 1890s granted routine medical leave because the 'health' of its soldiers was not a matter of individual interest but a state resource.
but medicine is in many ways an easy case when it comes to the relationship between science and the state; all too often we still seem reluctant to acknowledge, for example, the pursuit of economic botany and animal / plant breeding in the early modern period as contributors to discourses of acclimatisation and proto-eugenics, sciences that were given state financial support on these utilitarian grounds & not for any high-minded general pursuit of 'knowledge'; or the development of navigational instruments and knowledge from the 14th century or so onward as a project explicitly funded and intended to permit faster, cheaper, more reliable colonial exploration and travel; or the sheer amount of research in physics and chemistry that has been and is devoted to weapons development or natural resource extraction; or the promise of space travel as a further possibility for obtaining raw materials as well as for settlement---often marketed in terms and visual rhetoric explicitly comparing the 'space colony' to its terrestrial precursor: 'the final frontier', depicted as both lush tropical paradise & as rugged american west, waiting to be conquered & brought to heel.
i am of course not hostile to 'science' in any totalising way; this would be as indefensible a position as the automatic 'defence' of all such practices; they're not monolithic or intrinsically doomed to serve state interests. but it is simply irresponsible to pretend that the scientific inquiry into something---describing it, measuring it, taxonomising it---is inherently a social good, or that the pursuit of 'knowledge' is ever an apolitical endeavour. knowing, seeing, & measuring the world grant immense power; states and empires know this. scientific inquiry is not tangentially related to imperial and colonial expansion; often it is a critical piece of the machinery by which these processes occur. wilful ignorance of this fact in favour of an optimistic conception of science as a universal social good is not just inaccurate but propagandistic & an advancement of state & imperial interests.

The hand rubbing scene is the gayest sex scene GMMtv has ever had on screen, allow me to explain to you why.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gifs by @wanderlust-in-my-soul
Now I can’t speak as someone who is completely blind (obviously) but I can speak as someone who has been progressively losing their sight for the past 15 years - ironically enough from a car accident. Why hello Day, I see you! (pun intended) But I’m also a person who grew up HoH (hard of hearing) from the age of two years old onward, I had tubes put in my ears, wore hearing aids, the whole shebang. The chances of me actually regaining my ability to hear completely was very very slim, the fact that I did actually end up regaining some - not all - of my hearing by my late twenties was a damn shock to us all. The point being, when you are a person who’s lost one of your senses that you are used to having, your body starts to overcompensate.
Most everyone has heard/read/seen things about how removing one sense can lead to your other ones becoming stronger. There’s even been studies that show people born deaf or deafened at a very young age, that their brain starts to rewire itself to allow them to experience sound in a visual way, via touch. It’s sort of like how blind people learn to read braille in a way, the touch creates a picture in your mind allowing you to see the way that word looks and sounds and feels. Theres a whole bit in Scientific America you can check out if you want that breaks it down in layman terms without the writing acting like you’re stupid, which is always nice when it comes to medical jargon lol.
So my point that to Day, his sense of touch is not only in overdrive because it like much of the rest of his senses - smell seems to be a big one they’re leading with - are scambling to try and overcompensate for the sudden lack of sight that is getting worse as time passes. But because he had pulled away from basically the entire world post blindness setting in, spending the last year of his life in his room hardly interacting with anyone, his own mother and brother barely being allowed to touch him. That for Day, his sense of touch is absolutely frantic. Which is why it’s so important for Mhok to constantly place his hands on him, not only to help lead him back into the world but to allow Day to recognize him by touch alone. And it’s being shown that he is, Day already knows Mhok’s voice and it’s touched a bit on the way he smells (ciggs) but this last episode is really starting to show how the touch of people is starting to fully affect Day, especially when he’s out of the house and how Mhok is instantly recognized even though he always follows up his touch with a vocal confirmation that it is in fact him that is touching Day.
So that hand stroking scene, the way Mhok runs the pads of his fingers gently up the centre of Day’s palm, how he strokes the back of his hand like it’s a kitten. That right there could genuinely feel like sex to Day, if not sexual in manner at the very least. The fuzzy look Day gets in his eyes, going from blank, to blissful to bashful and then finally awkward. It wasn’t just because of the fact that the dude he lowkey is starting to have a crush on is rubbing his hand in what I’m seeing being called a ‘weirdly intimate way’. It’s because Day’s body and brain is reacting to that touch in a way that people with all five senses might not completely comprehend, imagine your most intense erogenous zone (btw the palms of the hands are occasionally considered one) now imagine if that intensity was ramped up by ten, or twenty or even fifty and then imagine that that erogenous zone was suddenly everywhere. The most innocuous part of your body could bring you the most incredible sensations, both sexual and emotional, that’s what Day is feeling.
Mhok, now Mhok, he’s not stupid. Far from it in fact, he’s clued in on that not only is Day queer but also that he has a bit of a crush on him. Mhok has also quickly adapted to how he needs to teach Day to see the world in a new way, hence all the touching and smelling and reinforcement that Day can in fact do things for himself, including asking for help when he needs it. So Mhok knew exactly what he was doing with the hand rubbing, sort of. Did he know the sensation would be heightened, my best bet is totally. But did he expect to have his reaction to it go beyond that of teasing? Given his own bashfulness, doubtful. When you’re dating someone with a loss of one or many senses, you tend to change your own preconceived notions of what intimacy with your partner is. For some people offering a foot rub to their partner is a clear come on, an offer for something to lead to more. But for a blind person, especially a newly blind person like Day. They use their hands to navigate their entire world - you literally read with your fingers - so a blind persons hands are basically their most important tools in a lot of ways. To have someone touch your hands with such care, such reverence, it’s not just intimate, it’s full on foreplay.
Mhok wasn’t just touching Day, he was touching Day. It was meant to be seen as intimate because it was intimate, so intimate, in a way I don’t think either Mhok nor Day were expecting it to be because neither had ever experienced something like that before. That scene was truly the beginning of their relationship shifting, that hand scene was kind of like their first kiss.

Greetings!
Tumblr media
I am Dr. Stanford Pines, you may call me 'Ford' or simply 'Doctor'. I suppose it is about time I explore the World Wide Web, or the 'Internet'. There is much I still have to learn and figure out since returning to this dimension.
It seems I have fallen quite out of touch for the most part during the thirty years I was gone. It's frankly very impressive and jarring to see how so much has changed so I might take some time for me to properly adjust but I digress.
I travel through plenty of dimensions with my brother Stanley quite often to further my research. Nothing we can't handle now that Cipher is out of the picture so I will continue adventuring and learning.
I am glad to be of acquaintance to you all!
Ad astra per aspera
- Dr. Stanford Pines
Tumblr media
OOC: HAHA- Here's a Ford blog because I genuinely couldn't help myself. My main blog is @matrixbearer2024! This Stanford Pines is very similar to the timelords from the Doctor Who franchise but other than that he's still pretty much the same. I'll mostly have him set post-weirdmageddon but I'm open to shifting whichever point in time for questions or RPs, have fun everyone!
P.S. Down below are insights to his character and inventory for anyone interested or planning to interact with him!
Tumblr media
Doc's inventory:
Modified Sonic Screwdriver
Rift Manipulation: Creates and stabilizes interdimensional rifts using doors as conduits.
Wood Manipulation: Can interact with wooden objects, allowing for unlocking, modifying, or opening them.
Lock Picking: Can unlock doors and secure mechanisms electronically.
Repair Capabilities: Repairs mechanical devices, machinery, and certain types of technology.
Environmental Scanning: Gathers environmental data, hazards, such as toxins, radiation, or other dangers, detecting anomalies, and analyzing energy signatures.
Data Analysis: Capable of analyzing data from various sources and providing real-time feedback, which can be especially useful in scientific or technical situations.
Communication Device: Interfaces with various technologies for sending and receiving signals.
Universal Translator: Translates languages in real time, enabling communication across the multiverse.
Communications Device: Functions as a communicator to contact other beings or devices across dimensions.
Energy Emission and Manipulation: Emits energy pulses to create barriers, distract enemies, or manipulate technology as well as manipulating energy sources, allowing it to overload systems or temporarily disable them.
Holographic Projection: Can create holographic displays for visualization of data, theories, or environments.
Lock Picking: Bypasses and unlocks physical and digital security systems.
Thermal Regulation: Measures and adjusts temperature in different environments.
Frequency Manipulation: Disrupts or enhances certain technologies by emitting sounds at specific frequencies.
Medical Functions: Provides advanced diagnostics and medical support, which is due to Doc’s preparedness(paranoia) for unforeseen events. (e.g. scanning for vital signs, diseases, and medical conditions; performing rudimentary medical diagnostics and suggest treatments; minor surgical procedures, such as suturing wounds; administering certain medications or injections in emergencies)
Forcefield Manipulation: Can activate and control protective barriers or shields, adding a layer of defense in dangerous situations.
Data Storage & Retrieval: Stores information and interacts with databases, making it a powerful tool for research.
Manipulation of Atoms: Using the power of the infinity die, Doc’s sonic screwdriver can manipulate the energy within atoms of entities that have a tangible, alterable form. This ability allows him to rearrange or shift the physical properties of objects or beings.
Weaponized Function: Can shoot energy blasts, though this function was originally designed as a laser for electronic tinkering.
Time Manipulation: Has limited abilities to manipulate time within a localized area, such as slowing down or speeding up the perception of time for specific objects or people.
Emergency Beacon: Can emit distress signals to call for help or alert allies in emergencies.
Multi-Purpose Tool: Serves as a general tool for tinkering, adjusting mechanisms, and solving puzzles, which aligns with Doc's analytical nature and creativity.
Repair Box
Immortality: A set of nanobots that constantly repairs and heals injuries, rendering Doc functionally immortal. While he cannot die from age or illness, fatal wounds can still kill him.
Healing Factor: Non-fatal wounds heal rapidly, which allow the Doctor to recover quickly from injuries that would otherwise incapacitate others.
Phantom Pain: He experiences phantom pain from time to time, a side effect of the repair box, which sometimes immobilizes him during particularly bad days.
Journal & Pen
Eidetic Memory: While Doc has a photographic memory, he carries a journal where he records his travels, discoveries, and reflections. This is partly an emotional release and partly a way to process the things he can never forget.
Personal Reflections: His journal also contains musings, sketches, and insights into his more philosophical thoughts, which he tends to keep private.
Zygon Force Field Device
Personal Shield: A portable device that creates a personal force field around the doctor which protects him from the worst injuries in moments of danger.
Camouflage: For a temporary time, the advanced zygon technology refracts and manipulates light to turn Doc invisible to the naked eye. This can be activated and disabled manually.
Limited Durability: Though powerful, the forcefield can only take so much damage at a time before it needs to recharge.
Advanced Medical Kit
Comprehensive: This kit contains emergency medical supplies, medications, and advanced tools for situations where the repair box might not immediately be enough. The doctor’s paranoia drives him to always be prepared.
Multiverse Map
Hand-drawn: A rough sketch and collection of dimensions he’s visited or studied, filled with notes about potential dangers and anomalies.
OOC: Does Doc carry a phone with him? Nope! Thinks it's something redundant because of his sonic being able to act as a communicator at a rudimentary level. Granted, you're not going to get stellar audio or video quality from something like that, but it works throughout the multiverse so Doc doesn't bother. If you plan on having an OC or other character meet him through this route, it could be as a transmission to his sonic!
Tumblr media
Doc's Appearance:
Since the time he received the repair box, Doc has been biologically frozen in a state where his physical body remains in its 40s.
Doc is standing tall at 6'2", no different from most iterations of his canon counterparts.
His coat the the same as the one he already uses in post-canon gravity falls, that hasn't changed aesthetically.
The doctor sports a suit because if he's going to kick butt might as well do it in style, he also switches between neck-ties and bow-ties because bow-ties are cool.
He wears sneakers instead of his boots since those had worn down and broken sometime during his travels and sneakers are just generally easier to replace.
Underneath all his dress-up though he's covered in scars from past battles and his old tattoos that he'd never had the time to get rid of.
His glasses still have a crack in them, mostly because he couldn't be bothered to get a new pair of bifocals anyway.
Always clean shaven, yes he still shaves his face with fire that has never changed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Key Quotes About Doc:

"Never cruel or cowardly. Never give up, never give in.”
"Rest is for the weary, sleep is for the dead.”
"You don’t want to take over the universe. You wouldn’t know what to do with it beyond shout at it."
"Never be certain of anything. It’s a sign of weakness."
"Courage isn’t just a matter of not being frightened, you know. It’s being afraid and doing what you have to do anyway."
“Why do humans never do as they’re told? Someone should replace you all with robots. No, on second thought, they shouldn’t, bad idea.”
"You know, the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common: they don’t alter their views to fit the facts; they alter the facts to fit their views.”

Very tired of hearing how women think their weak and how men are biologically better when is is actually not true at all so here's why women are strong too, I'll put medical and scientific facts about women
1. Women have stronger Immune system
Females have better innate and adaptive immune responses to disease-causing pathogens than males. Females also produce better protective antibodies following vaccination against flu, yellow fever, dengue, and viral infections.
Females typically develop higher innate, humoral and cellular immune responses to viral infections and in response to vaccine
Women see more colors than men
Even when compared to males who have not been diagnosed with color blindness, women seem to be able to distinguish between colors more easily than men. This allows women to more accurately identify the color of an object that may be between two similar hues, like blue and green.
Women have better night vision
However, studies have suggested that there may be slight differences in night vision between men and women. One study published in the journal Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics found that women had better visual acuity in low-light conditions than men.
Women have better muscle endurance
While men usually have the upper-hand when it comes to strength, it may be surprising to many that women may actually have better muscle endurance than men do. Research has shown that in stamina-related exercises, women were able to exercise for about 75% longer than men could. It is suggested that the presence of estrogen in women makes their muscles more resistant to fatigue, and that women have more efficient metabolism within their muscles as compared to men.
Their bodies are structurally made for greater flexibility
When it comes to stretching and flexibility, women have an advantage in several ways.Firstly, their female muscles and tendons contain more elastin, the protein which gives our muscles, organs and skin the ability to stretch, and this gives them greater flexibility on the whole.
Women have higher levels of estrogen in their bodies, leading to wider hips that allow greater movement and flexibility in the pelvic region
Women are way more agile
Women on the other hand have greater agility. This is partly explained by the fact they are smaller and have a lower centre of mass thus are able to change direction and move quicker than their male counterparts. In addition balance is better for the same reason.
Women have stronger legs/lower body
In lower body absolute strength, a woman is 75% as strong as a man. This difference is usually attributed to the similar daily usage of legs between men and women. Both walk and use our lower body muscles about the same. This is not the case in daily activities using upper body strength.
Women have higher survival rate than men
Analysis of three centuries of historical data showed women are more likely than men to survive famines and epidemics. Their advantage is earned early. Female newborns were more likely to survive trying circumstances during the last three centuries. women has fundamental biological underpinnings is supported by the fact that even under these very harsh conditions, women survive better than men, and this starts at a very young age.
Women are more resilient
Several studies show that women score higher on the resilience scale than men. A study found that women outlived men during severe famines and epidemics. This survival advantage was found to be modulated by an interaction of biological, environmental and social factors.
They have better chances of surviving traumatic injuries
Another likely reason for women's longer life expectancy could be the fact that they have higher chances of surviving injury and trauma. Researchers, in studying data on patients who arrived at hospitals with traumatic injuries, found that women in the age range of 13 – 64 were significantly more likely to survive. Again, the key to this advantage may lie in the higher levels of female sex hormones in women, which may have an enhancing effect on the immune system.
Women have better memory
Remembering the faces of people you have just met may be a challenge for many, but it may be apparently less so for women in general. Women have been found to be stronger in memory skills than men, as suggested in studies where they outdid men in memory tests. Their superior memory skills are not just limited to remembering things, like items on a list, but also faces of people as well. Other studies have found that women can remember faces better than men, as they unconsciously spend more time studying features of new faces.

Note
I've read a fic that DID use scientific words for pussy, and while I do prefer it over being forced to read "he spreads your meaty lips" in the middle of my porn, it was still super weird to see labia minora whole heartedly written with the intent of sex appeal in mind
i do think it depends a lot on the tone and could be very hot if it's used very deliberately, but there is no doubt in my mind that smut that reads like a medical journal is 3000% less off-putting than porn that just kinda combines an unappealing visual image with a body part and calls it a day. 'his meat rod' my deeply, deeply beloathed.

power dynamics and the way the x-files pilot subverts and meets our expectations of them
in the pilot, what we learn of mulder, we first learn through scully. she laughs, almost girlishly, about the reputation that precedes him, only concealing her joy when she realizes the others in the room are not in on the joke. these men are solemn, not because they don’t agree about the nature of agent mulder, but because mulder is no laughing matter to them; he is a threat and scully - notably religious, the cross on her neck, scientifically driven, and hopelessly young - is the weapon they hope to aim in his direction. on the outside, she is the perfect candidate: honest, intelligent, skeptical. this, they are sure, is the answer to their long standing problem.
from the beginning we get a sense that there is an imbalance placed between mulder and scully. in the next scene, it becomes visual: when mulder meets scully, he is hunched over photos, sitting in a chair. she is the taller one, the one with nothing to lose, and he is the man they’ve thrown in the basement, hidden away like the joke she’s preemptively laughed at. it is important that we meet him as a man leaning, almost protectively, over his vulnerabilities: his work.
but then he stands and he brings up her thesis. she has rewritten einstein, an act unfathomable and crazy in its own right. mulder does not wish to go down without a fight; he challenges her immediately, like he’s been waiting his entire life for this moment. he calls her “scully,” puts a professional distance between them, while also making the most of her medical and scientific advice. though he stands taller than her physically at this point, he doesn’t ever aim to reach above her. mulder is not interested in the ‘90s workplace misogyny, invalidating her simply because she’s been sent to debunk his own work. he only wants her to understand. for a moment, they become equals. he even makes a joke of himself, asking her if she believes in extraterrestrials bemusedly. whatever advantaged he has over her physically, he begins to concede in this initial meeting. he wants equality; he wants understanding. nothing more.
this visual imbalance is important, and we find ourselves returning to it in the airplane. as they travel to the plausible state of oregon, mulder lays on his back and scully sits across the aisle from him. again, she is sitting taller than he is. his vulnerabilities are still out in the open. a casefile - his work - sits in her lap, and he lies with his body turned away from her, his eyes closed. they don’t ever reach equal playing grounds in this scene, because they are ascending on his life’s work. he is operating on the belief that she’s been sent to debunk everything he believes in, and we as an audience can’t be too sure she’s not.
then the airplane shakes, tips, and, for a moment, provides us with a physical unbalance. it is the tilting of the scales. he turns to her with a wide grin after. she looks visibly disturbed. he is still lower than she is—but it seems he’s got the upper hand as he cracks a joke. we learn of mulder as a man confident in the face of his trials and tribulations. the lack of power does not rob him of him of his beliefs, but simply reinforces them. it is scully who is shaken. the power does not make her confident or certain. maybe, we begin to suspect, it isn’t meant to belong to her. maybe he is reading her wrong.
in the car, they are back on equal grounds. he is guiding her through the case details, making glib remarks, and she is asking him about the details. the radio goes wonky, they get out, and he paints the road orange. he doesn’t tell her why. he won’t. she looks almost girlish, standing there, clueless, with her hands on her hips. it is he who gains the power in this moment, taller, in the know. he is less concerned with equality than he is the protecting of his work and his beliefs. he doesn’t look to knock her down, but he’s not interested in lifting her up.
the next time the visual imbalances are most interesting is when she comes to his hotel room. perhaps this is the most notable of them all. initially, scully comes to his room because she is terrified about the marks on her back. he towers over her in the beginning of this scene, but it is not long before he is on his knees, inspecting her. she is so scared of something she claims she doesn’t believe in, and he has every right to stand back and laugh at her. but he doesn’t. he does laugh, but its not malicious; it’s kind. he tells her about his own bug bites and when he does stand back up, she crashes into his arms. he holds her. if he’s got the power in this scene, he is not interested in using it against her. he is taller and she is more vulnerable in every way, but he seems surprised by it. this is a beautiful segue into the next scene.
mulder sits on the ground and tells his barest truths. scully got naked and scared for him, and he sees fitting that he do the same. she sits on his bed, higher than he is, and he takes the ground. he talks about the sister he can’t find and how it ruined his family, and how he can’t get to the information he wants. he accuses her of being a spy, and she tells him that she isn’t.
in a moment of absolute trust, he rises to his knees. they become equal, seeing eye to eye. he tells her about the hypnosis, the drive he feels, how this is more important to him than anything. and it is so earnest and intense, so absolutely serious, that we must be saved by a ringing telephone to escape it. this sets the groundwork for the rest of the series, and the foundation for mulder and scully’s relatjonship as a whole. they become partners—he allows for this in this scene. he wants to believe her.
the power dynamics between them have been constantly challenged, and at times, have subverted our expectations. we watch as mulder, often times the taller one of the pair, seeks to bring he and scully to equal playing grounds. we watch as scully, the one who is offered many opportunities to have the upper hand and the power, stumble her way through it or put herself in a position where she loses it. mulder and scully, we learn, are best when they are equal, seeing eye to eye.

Welcome back to Alex's unhinged meta corner! I am fuelled up with coffee and my adhd medication, so this is about to be a RIDE.
Apologies in advance, since this post will probably get quite long and also scientific at some point, but I will try to keep it as plain and easy to understand as possible. Combine two of my special interests (Good Omens and chemistry) and you get absolutely insane infodumps; it's a blessing and a curse.
As always, this is simply a theory, and maybe I'm wrong, maybe we'll never find out. But it's an option, and I have canonical proof.
There have been endless theories about why the Gabriel-Hiding-Miracle (which I will shorten to GHM) set off alarm bells in heaven and reached a strength of 25 Lazarii. Are their half-miracles really combined that strong? Does it depend on their relationship or love?
Well, today I am here to tell you that, actually, there is no such thing as "half a miracle".
We are going to have a closer look at miracles themselves, but the first important thing to keep in mind is that most of the time, Crowley and Aziraphale are incredibly unreliable narrators and have barely any inside into how heaven and hell work. Remember, they have been on earth since 4004 BC, they are certainly not used to any of the internal routines and functions.
They can tell us all kinds of things, but that does not make them true.
Now, miracles!
Both angels and demons are capable of performing them, though they only seem to be counted as actual miracles when they happen on earth, seeing as they measured in Lazarii.
One Lazarus equals the miracle power it takes to bring one human being back to life—the consequence is that miracles must be bound to the earthly plane, since that is where their unit originated from. When they are performed in heaven or hell, they are still miracles in a broad sense—celestial beings using their powers—but not in a way that ascribes to the measuring system.
Neil once answered an ask about Lazarus as a unit, and he stated that miracles tend to be measured in Centi- or Millilazarii (mostly the latter), meaning that the GHM was about 1000x as strong as your usual, daily miracle. The labeling also tells us that the scale for Lazarii is the same as the metric one.
If we treat Lazarus as a base unit, we need to find a way of defining it that is unique to this specific unit.
Globally, we have a collection of agreed-upon base units, the SI units (coming from the French Système international d'unités, aka International system of Units). Those seven are second, metre, kilogram, ampere, candela, kelvin, and mole, and every single one has a very specific definition—they are too bloody complex. None of them can be expressed with one of the other SI units, which gives you great definitions such as these:
Tumblr media
A little excursion for those that are interested: For a very long time, the kilogram was defined by. well. A cube. The "true kilogram", which is still in a vault somewhere in Paris. However, you can probably imagine why basing a unit on a physical objects isn't a great idea long-term, so back in 2018, the kilogram was redefined, along with three other units.
Now, all SI units are defined by natural constants, not physical objects, making them accurate and (more or less) absolute.
Back to miracles!
The reason I am telling you all this is that we need to find such a basic definition for miracles, too, or at least an approximation.
My proposal is that a miracle itself is the force exerted on matter by a a celestial being. That force is then measured in Lazarii, with one Lazarus being equal to the force required to bring one person back to life. This is where it gets a bit tricky because how do you visualize that kind of force?
Matter cannot be destroyed only created, so all the particles currently making up our bodies will continue to exist long, long after our deaths. Meaning when a person dies, the amount of matter that was them is still there, the consequence of which is that their body can be recreated at will. Now, souls seem to be separate from matter, making them metaphysical and thus irrelevant for this conversation. I am going with the assumption that once a body has been recreated, the soul can be put back into without additional cost in miracle power.
There might be another base unit hidden in the metaphysical, but that's a conversation for another time.
All of this amounts to one fundamental hypothesis:
A miracle is either done, meaning matter gets changed, or it isn't, meaning matter remains unchanged.
There is no in-between stage here, a "half-change" is not possible, either you exert a force on particles or you don't. What kind of change that is might not be tangible for us, but a change is a change.
When Crowley and Aziraphale try to hide Gabriel, they change the way he gets perceived, how others perceive him, aka they change the way his presence is processed.
The closest thing to compare it to, in my opinion, is the superior mirage—the Fata Morgana. At its core, it means that light bends as it passes through air layers with different temperatures; your eyes perceive the bent light rays and your brain processes them accordingly. You see images that aren't actually there.
Celestial beings look at Gabriel but see something that isn't actually there, so the "true" image remains hidden.
If we stick to this metaphor, then Crowley creates a mirage for any ethereal beings, and Aziraphale creates one for occult beings. The creation of that mirage is one miracle—not half a miracle, but ONE singular miracle. Both of them change matter, and both of these miracles can exist independently of each other.
Crowley and Aziraphale could have created their mirages on their own, meaning that two miracles were performed, not two halves of one miracle.
If you listen to the sound of the miracles, you can hear that it's different from the other ones they have performed on their own, with the "combined" miracle having two sound peaks instead of one. Tumblr hates it when I upload audio files, so have it like this.
In order, the miracles are Aziraphale lowering the chandelier and moving the shelves, Crowley removing the paintball stain, and the GHM.
IF they had both performed half a miracle, the end result would have been one miracle, meaning it should have sounded like any other—but it didn't! Two connected sounds, two simultaneous miracles.
There is still one thing left to talk about, which is the power of their miracle. Here is where my previous definition of Lazarus as a unit comes into play again.
Heaven measured a miracle power of 25 Lazarii aka a very high amount of force exerted on matter. You might think Alex, if they both performed their own miracle, how come that the alarm bells rang?
If we keep up the mirage metaphor, we can explain that! Crowley's intention was to make it so that ethereal beings cannot perceive him, so his miracle changed matter in a way that aligns with ethereal perception.
However, Aziraphale intended to change matter so that occult beings cannot perceive Gabriel, meaning his miracle changed matter in a way that is adapted to occult perception.
This is where science comes into play again!!
You see, particles aren't just particles, they are waves too. Wave-particle duality describes exactly that, e.g. an electron being both a particle and a wave at the same time. A connected theory to that is the Uncertainty principle, which describes the inability to measure the exact value of two different properties at the same time.
Or, to put it more plainly, if you try to figure out the exact position of a particle, its momentum becomes blurred, unclear. If you then focus on the momentum of the same particle, you can no longer describe its exact position.
You are probably looking at me now, thinking where the fuck are they going with this and why are there suddenly so many principles of quantum mechanics in a Good Omens meta post???
Crowley changes matter in way A.
Aziraphale changes matter in way B.
Those changes can co-exist, like an electron being a particle and a wave at the same time. However—and this is scientific theory adapted to celestial miracles—when an angel looks at Gabriel, then they are focusing on state A. When demons are looking at Gabriel, they are focusing on state B.
Focus on A and B becomes blurry. Focus on B and A becomes blurry.
Maintaining that double-state requires power though, because compared to wave-particle duality, these states aren't natural, they're inflicted—matter was changed. It's like the matter around Gabriel is flickering between those two states, a light switch trying to find a neutral position when there is only on and off.
How do we measure that power? In Lazarii.
The miracle energy that heaven measured is not that high because they each performed half a miracle and combined it into one, it is that high because they each performed one miracle that stands in opposition to the other; as a result, two different states need to be maintained at the same time, meaning the manipulation is ongoing, meaning it needs a fuckton of power.
If you want to keep balancing your light switch, you need to keep trying, you need to keep up the pressure, otherwise you either click it off or on. Same thing with the hiding miracle.
Twenty-five Lazarii.
The power you need to exert on matter to reshape twenty-five people—or to continuously hide one being from two opposing observers with rapidly-switching state changes.
While I think the whole "it's because of love" theory is fun and cute, scientifically it really doesn't make much sense because their powers have rules similar to our base units, so me must approach and treat them as such.
With that, thank you to everyone who made it this far and managed to survive our little excursion into the field of quantum mechanics.
Questions, thoughts, additions, etc. are very welcome!

Okay I just read your post on thee stark tower and I was amazed by the amount of research you've done I absolutely loved it
Please hit us with any more facts you have (I'm also planning on making an essay on the stark tower and you've saved me literally)
actually me right now. smooches you.
BABES. ACTUALLY SCREAMING AND SOBBING. I DO IN FACT HAVE A FUCK MORE INFO SO THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO YAP ABOUT MY NICHE BORDERLINE NEUROTIC OBSESSION WITH THIS!!!!!! read more bc this is going to be a long post lol
quick disclaimer!!:
while I try to make this info as canon compliant as possible (and I'm p sure I'm doing a good job with that aspect so far) please keep in mind that I am using some creative liberty to bridge certain gaps in terms of realism!!
that being said if there's anything you don't like or vibe with you can ABSOLUTELY headcanon it as something else. infinite realities infinite stark towers yk.
my goal with this is to give us all a concrete BASE for fics, shifting, visualization, maladaptive daydreaming, or just obsessive curiosity
tldr take this with a grain of salt and please feel free to use it as a jumping off point!!
ps specifically for sweet lovely anon here: HELL YEAH HELL YEAH STARK TOWER ESSAY THAT SOUNDS SICK AS FUCK!!!! (also if anyone does use this info in fics or use the images for stuff that is okay just PLS drop credit and or link back to my blog/these posts so if other people want unnecessarily detailed info on stark tower they too can fall down the rabbit hole of my obsessive research!!)
recap of stark tower's structure:
construction/remodels of Stark Tower started around december 2010, so Tony presumably bought and planned out everything some time before that
I've estimated the bottom 1/3 of the metlife building is in tact, and Stark Tower (the iconic part we see in the movies) was built on top of that
Tumblr media
breakdown of stark tower floors/sections
I already briefly covered the basement levels, which I'll link to here
metlife building section (Floors 1–23) - elongated octagon shaped building (like a rectangle with the long sides curved out a little), first 23 floors are for Stark Industries corporate business stuff, broken down below.
1 (Ground Floor) →
Grand Lobby (30-ft ceilings), Reception, Guest Check-In

Excerpt from this story from The Guardian:
When scientists demonstrated a small tropical fish – the cleaner wrasse – could recognise itself in a mirror, Prof Culum Brown’s first thought was: “This is the coolest thing ever.”
Brown, an ecologist who researches fish behaviour and intelligence at Sydney’s Macquarie University, says the mirror self-recognition test – developed in the 1970s – is considered the gold standard for evidence of visual self-awareness in animals.
In the Osaka City University study, a small number of fish had a mark placed under their throats while under anaesthesia. When given a mirror, the fish oriented their bodies to see the mark, and tried to rub it off by scraping themselves on rocks.
Primates, elephants and dolphins previously passed the test. But the results in fish proved so controversial it took five years for the paper to be published.
Even then, many scientists refused to accept the results.
Brown says the response “shows beautifully” the bias against the idea of fish being intelligent – particularly when parts of the scientific community instead thought, “Shit! The mirror self-recognition test is broken.”
Globally, fish are the most eaten animal (an estimated 1.1-2.2tn are caught annually). They are also the most common pet, and one of the main animals used in science and medical research. Yet Brown says most of the public barely even consider them to be animals.
In recent decades, researchers have demonstrated that along with visual self-awareness, certain species have the capacity to learn, remember, experience pain and form relationships. Many of these qualities imply sentience, the capacity to feel positive and negative experiences.
“Science is so far in front of society that it’s going to take a monumental shift in human behaviour to catch up,” he says.
For instance, Brown says the popular misconception that fish have short memories has “absolutely no foundation”. His research on sharks found them to be intelligent and inquisitive creatures with long memories.
He is among a group of scientists and philosophers to sign the New York declaration on animal consciousness earlier this year, which attempts to bridge the gap between science and society. Drawing on evidence, the declaration says there is “at least a realistic possibility of conscious experience in all vertebrates (including reptiles, amphibians, and fishes)”.
The scrutiny of the mirror test led to more studies, including one published this week showing cleaner wrasse will use a mirror to check their size before deciding whether to attack another fish. Fish now have the best supported evidence of any animal for mirror self-recognition, Brown says, yet “people still don’t believe it”.

The End of Sitting by RAAAF is a visual art, architectural, philosophical, and empirically scientific exhibition. Even though medical research shows that too much sitting is bad for your health, our society has set up almost everything so that we can sit.
