It’s Sunday. Every Sunday after church, I usually come to visit you. I even got you a limited edition football collector’s card from the sporting goods store. Did you know they opened up a sporting goods store just a few years ago? You would’ve loved to go there. I saw those collector’s cards, and I just knew you would’ve loved to have one. I even spent all my money today so I could get you one you liked, and got it laminated just for you.

But now it’s pouring out. There’s so many dark clouds in the sky, watering the plants and making sure the grass growing above you is nice and green. I once heard from an old woman at church that she believed rain was from the angels in heaven crying. Is that true, Dad? Are you crying right now? Why are you crying? Are you watching me right now? Are those happy tears, angry tears, or sad tears? Do you forgive me? I wish I knew what you were feeling right now, and I wish I knew if you were in Heaven or Hell.

I remember being eleven years old and asking my youth leader if you went to Heaven or Hell. I was missing you, and I wanted to know if you were safe in Heaven. They asked me if you believed in God, and I said I didn’t know. I can’t remember if you do or not, I’m sorry. I ask Mom so often, and every time I forget her answer. I’ll have to ask her again today. Anyways, the youth leader said that they didn’t know. I didn’t settle for that answer, I wanted to know where you were. So I asked if people who committed suicide went to Heaven. They have to, right? You were suffering so much, you were an angel wanting to go back home. It wasn’t your fault. It was mine.

They crouched down to me, and put their hand on my shoulder. “No, sweetie… people who commit suicide don’t go to Heaven. They go to Hell. Suicide is a serious sin. Never try to take yourself before God says it’s time for you to go, okay? Can you promise me you won’t do that?”

Their cruel response makes me cry just thinking about it. Did they think I was suicidal at the time? Were they trying to talk me out of it? I wasn’t suicidal before, but after that conversation, I definitely was. I hate the thought of you suffering in Hell all alone, because I sent you there. I don’t want you to suffer all because of me. You should’ve hurt me with that knife instead of yourself, It should’ve been me. I don’t matter, I’ve never mattered in my nineteen years of life. You mattered to so many people. You and mom would’ve been so much happier without me-

A Gender Feelings Dump bc i have my semi-public diary back now :)

I came back to tumblr because I got immediately obsessed with BG3 and knew I wanted to do it Proper Fandom Like. Possibly because its been a surprisingly nostalgic experience and the last time I was into something like this, I was on tumblr doing fandom (DA, fallout, ect.) so maybe its all regression, idk. But it has resulted in me drawing and writing the most I ever have in 6 years, since I left my bachelor of illustration and decided I couldn't do art as a career and I needed Real Work (tm) to live and meet my goals.

That has changed. I've realised I have been fighting my nature; I've wanted to be an artist since I was a child, and I was Always solely fixed on that goal. And one thing 6 years of drawing and creating a lot less did was... cut me off from a gender experience I have! Which I lowkey forgot about, and am now rediscovering? And its an odd (but also not odd at all) one that I gotta ramble about.

My name is Emmanuel Josephine [Redacted], and I picked Josephine because its my favourite name and because I was aware that sometimes, I simply am not... in Emmanuel headspace. Emmanuel is a Tom of Finland rough-housing cowboy priest. Which are often my vibes. But lately I have been a lot more Josephine, whose vibes are more ... 15th Century nun troubadour secretly in love with their fellow nun. Am I making sense? These are just vibes. Gender word association.

Anyway, I've realise these track to whether I'm more preoccupied, at that period of my life, with the outside world or my internal world. I phrase it that way because I don't want to imply that Emmanuel is just "Face", a social performance; I can be and am Josephine with other people. These aren't personality changes (Important to specify that because I have DDNOS lol), but maybe... the temporary moving of my perspective and perceptions.

I think when I'm feeling very creative and making a lot of things, I become very introspective; for me, art is always a conversation with myself. My Perspective and Perception inevitably shifts to be more internal. That makes me less responsive to social contexts, which is obviously a massive part of gender identity. And I just become a lot Less Gendered... I think?

Perhaps thats why Josephine is best described to me as a cloistered nun. I become less dysphoric about my body (because I think about it less) and I become fairly disinterested in having sex (though I am still just as interested in sexuality as a subject). I experience this broad, internal landscape that feels so intricate and distinct from the external world that it feels almost divine, or I guess metaphysical, even though I don't believe in anything spiritual. That is the shift in perspective; the internal world becoming the focus over the external.

Which, like... is this dissociation? I genuinely don't know. I have a dissociation disorder, so it would make sense. The separation from my dysphoria and libido, and the turn inwards, thats pretty dissociative stuff. I don't know. I feel pretty present. Its just weird.

I can't tell if this is an alternative experience that is gendered, what you may call A Gender Experirnce, or a dissociative episode (are the two really that different?), or more specifically, a regressive episode. Idk. Brains are wild.

Just some thoughts I've had after I've had time to digest the newest mandela catalogue "episode" and rewatch some of the older videos. tldr at the end.

So, ever since it was revealed that Adam had been an alternate all along, I was curious as to how he was going to react. Never would I have guessed this.

Adam seems very emotionally distant from everything, this lack being explained by him being an alternate. So, my expectations of his reaction to this life changing news were more like Adam being disturbed, yes, but more motivated than anything to stop the alternates, not letting this stop him and instead proving that he's nothing like them.

What i wasn't expecting was....the screaming. The absolute terror and disgust of himself. And like many have pointed out, it appears he's tried to kill himself by drinking bleach (and possibly other things based on how messy his room is), which is why he's so thin and ill.

But why? Why is he trying to kill himself? Yeah, it's life changing, but he's never felt strongly about anything else as serious. Such as Jonah's death. In Vol. 4, when speaking of Jonah to Sarah, he was very nonchalant about it. Even stating how Jonah wasn't his friend and that he "doesn't have friends".

I think I know why.

After rewatching some of the past videos. This one made me think.

Victims with this disorder get it by hearing information that isn't desired to be known. Information such as being an alternate your entire life unknowingly? 👀

One other thing about M.A.D. is that the majority of victims die from suicide.

And Adam is certainly...trying to kill himself, it seems.

I believe Adam has M.A.D. as a result of Volume 4. And if this is true, that means alternates can get M.A.D. which is interesting. Maybe this can be used against them? Maybe a way to stop them?

However, it's possible that Adam's case is a unique one, and no other alternates can get M.A.D.

Whatever the case is, it's just a thought that came to me, and I had to get my thoughts out. Thanks for reading and please tell me what you think :)

Hello Mandela people, here is a theory I had

So these are some thoughts I had from a theory video I made a while back, that I think might get more reach over here. This a theory with absolutely no bearing, but just thought I'd put it out there anyway. (please note I'm not/never have been in any discords or reddits for TMC, so idk if any of this has already been talked about or proved wrong, so if I'm way off the mark, I'm sorry, haha)

Anyway, here goes. (This is adapted from the video transcript so sorry if it's a little disjointed)

I was thinking about like Mandela catalog stuff and rolling around in my mind. This idea came up just after Mandela Catalyst released, and how that and the end of Vol.4 followed Adam, and Adam being an alternate, and his transformation and things like that.

And that's great and everything, but I just haven't been able to stop thinking about Mark, and what Mark's role was in everything, and what happened to him or more specifically for my theory what didn't happen to him.

Because, you know, the reveal of Adam being an alternate and like the transformation he's going through is all very good horrific stuff but I think a lot of people, like myself included, and I know some other people in the fandom as well were expecting that to happen they saw it coming because of all the threads and the breadcrumbs that Alex had left behind. A lot of people were theorizing it and then you know the confirmation at the end of Vol.4 was like 'yes finally it's paid off'

But this is just a stupid Theory. It's probably nothing but I can't stop thinking about it. About how Mark saw uh the Intruder, Six, when he was young. You know, the story of the scary night when Mark was four. And it's always kind of got to me that that has never been resolved. And we've seen as well like in Exhibition that Mark was stalked by alternates for a while before Caesar actually made the move toeventually like entrap him, and I just wonder why why Mark had this encounter with Six when he was young and then nothing happened. He just got tired and went to sleep the end, and I always kind of laughed at that because it's a very understatedreaction to like seeing a creepy man in your room or whatever.

BUT the lack of reaction is kind of like feeding into the theory that what if Mark was also an alternate, but he never activated. Because it seems that alternates, or at least in the case of Adam (you know we can't expect Adam to be representative of every single alternate, but at least in Adam's case he had no idea he was an alternate, he thought he was human). And I'm thinking that M.A.D., the Metaphysical Awareness Disorder, we've got it all wrong.

People aren't killing themselves because they've been fed information they don't want to know. They are instead doing so because they're realizing their alternates and they are offing themselves before the transformation. We saw in Adam's case in Mandela Catalyst, he was already undergoing his transformation and couldn't take himself out. He couldn't die, alternates can't die. At least as far as we know, not through traditional means anyway.

So what made me think this about M.A.D. is, and I picked up on it the first time around, (in my original reaction video) I pick up on the phrasing that they use of "reverse the delusion". Which is the same phrasing that Lucifer/False Gabriel uses when he says he has to reverse the delusion. So, reversing the delusion isn't snapping people out of M.A.D. it's them surviving the process of into turning into an alternate without taking themselves out. So you've got like the 97% death rate of people realizing they're an alternate and then offing themselves like Mark did, and then the three percent who survive "reverse the delusion" (the delusion being their humanity) and go on to transform into an alternate.

And it kind of it kind of makes sense as well because if you think about it, in Intruder Alert (?), it says that something like 3000 children have gone missing from across the various counties. Now if the children have been taken by the Intruder, if they are all replaced with an alternate, that would be 3000+ alternates. And not only would Mandela County and the surrounding counties be overwhelmed, a lot more area beyond that would be overwhelmed as well. But if there's only a 3% success rate of alternates transforming and going on to survive, that's a much smaller number of alternates that actually survive the process. And it's not so much a loss to the alternates because as far as they're concerned, the original children are already gone. They're already dealt with so they're not technically losing numbers. But the three percent that survive, theyare gaining numbers technically, so it's still kind of like a net win for the alternates.

So yeah I just I just wanted to sort of like get this out because the thought won't leave my head it just keeps on going on and on. So maybe Mark was taken by Six as a child and replaced by an alternate. He didn't realize because apparently alternates don't realize until they "wake up". The alternate Caesar wasn't able to get to him to activate his transformation so he was able to basically off himself before the transformation took place, or at least that's my theory. Because otherwise why have that encounter with Six when Mark was a child, you know? Why would that be relevant? Why would it visit him as a child and not take him away, leave him alone for like 17 years, and then come back and kill him later? Why would that happen?

The way it adds up to me M.A.D., or at least M.A.D. as it's been presented to the public seems to have been misinterpreted a lot, or forgotten about a lot through much of the discussion and the theories and such, and I think it's a lot more important and a lot more relevant than most of the fandom discussion or the theory discussion tends to give it credit for, and I think it's a lot more integral to what's going on than we think.

It's probably nothing, it's probably me just reading into this way too much, but it's it's a theory that I thought I would share with you

So originally I was going to do a brief post about why I think Adam will reject the alternate hivemind in relation to the story of Adam and Eve, how Adam chose Eve over the creator, but then I started thinking a lot about M.A.D.

Then, I realised something.

This may be intentional or this may be me overthinking it, but I’ll point it out as a possibility nonetheless.

In the tapes spreading awareness about metaphysical awareness disorder, it’s said that ‘the remaining 3% makes it worth trying to reverse the delusion’, and when I first watched this, I thought it sounded familiar, and now I know why.

In Overthrone, Gabriel says something disturbingly similar in binary code. ‘I am the one true saviour. I must reverse the delusion. Joseph is next.’

I have a lot of thoughts on this that I can’t word exactly right now, but I’ll just leave this here as something for thought, although it’s probably been pointed out already. Im a little late to the Mandela Catalogue train.

We do know M.A.D is important though, so the idea there is a link here would make sense, whatever that link may be.

I think that during the fight between Ogerpon and Pecharunt, it was a tough fight, since Pecharunt had a type advantage and set up 3 nasty plots earlier, however, it ended leaving when the humans arrived. Moveset wise I think it would be (Nasty Plot, Recover, Shadow Ball and Malignant Chain).

Now, remember the whole soul absorption? Well, I believe that it can also release these souls with a chain attached to them like a hive-mind. The souls would look like the ghost sprites in the gen 1 games. Their main purpose is to manipulate their victims into killing themselves. However, if the victim was able to stand against it, it would change into the person it was before but ghostly, and would kill the victim by force instead.

Also, I feel that when a person is under Pecharunt’s control, all their Pokémon’s Tera type are poison. This is sort of confirmed when I went to Carmine and Kieran’s grandfather’s Bulbapedia page where his Pokémon all have the poison Tera type.

And if we’re still going by the fusion idea, I would say Pecharunt would just be the base form while Dokuwāro is the fusion between Pecharunt, Mega Rayquaza, Original Dragon Kyurem, Zygarde Complete Forme, Hoopa Unbound, Ultra Necrozma, Eternamax Eternatus and Stellar Form Terapogas. I may need to think how it absorbs them, but the idea sounds badass and legitimately makes Pecharunt look intimidating as hell.

Now, I would say Dokuwāro’s size is slightly bigger than Regidrago. Since it’s a fusion, I’d like to think its shell can split into 6 pieces referencing Hoopa, one arm is out of each segment which looks like Necrozma’s but textually like Eternatus. The tiny hands that Pecharunt has are now arms with claws at the end resembling Zygarde but Tera and Dynamax energy texturally around it and a knuckle claw in the middle that resembles Mega Rayquaza’s jaw or something. However, this fusion would be cohesive and not just a series of random mutations.

Now, since Pecharunt has a busted defense stat of 160, I think Dokuwāro’s defenses are through the roof. Its shell is impervious to any attack and the core is difficult to damage. Not to mention, now that is literally 8 legendaries fused, it can now block attacks by punching them.

Did I make it overpowered? Yes. Is it necessary? Yes. Is it possible for the protagonists to beat it? Maybe not.

Now, these abilities and Pecharunt in the PV Au actually have several inspirations:

The whole soul absorption is because of the third signboard, while the two signboards were answered, this one wasn’t. So, I believe that Pecharunt is behind if you were to look into what the signboard says.

The whole manipulating people to kill themselves, is inspired by the Mandela Catalogue, the Alternates specifically. These entities are shapeshifters who can take the form of their victim’s close members. They whisper things to their victims which cause them to have Metaphysical Awareness Disorder, which drives them insane and they kill themselves. Whereas, the soul killing the victim by force is a reference to the Corruption in a Friday Night Funkin mod. Basically, if the corrupted person fails to corrupt their victim, it mutates and resorts to killing them instead.

The whole absorbing legendaries is a direct reference to Aggregor in Ben 10, in the show, he absorbs 5 Andromeda Aliens to have enough energy to access a certain place and there he can become god. Pecharunt is sort of doing the same thing. Also, how the fusion is designed is inspired by how O.R.Ash (from The Ink Tank) designs his fusions, he’s not called ‘The Fusion Man’ for nothing.

Pecharunt wanting nothing but revenge is a loose reference to Aspheera from Lego Ninjago. In the show, it’s shown that Aspheera wants nothing but revenge on the person that betrayed her, that’s loosing summarizing what she did, but Pecharunt did something similar.

For the shell and punch blocking, it’s a direct reference to Bowser in ‘Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story’ where in order for him to block attacks, he can either hide under his shell, or punch the attack away.

Finally, for the taking over god part, it’s also inspired by the Mandela Catalogue, where an alternate (most likely Satan) replaced Gabriel and made humanity pray to it. It used religion is a weapon. Sounds awfully like how the story of Ogerpon and the Loyal Three is misinterpreted right? Each story was not the same as their originals and what really happened was a second party influenced the events. Specaking of god, Arceus and Pecharunt are the only two mythical pokemon to be trio masters, this sort of indirectly makes a reference to a phrase in the Mandela Catalogue called ‘There’s not enough room for the two of us’. Indirectly referencing Pecharunt thinking that there can only be one mythical trio master and one god of this timeline. Loose reference, but it’s there.

I’ve rambled on A LOT. But I just wanna express my thoughts, and I felt three need to include what Pecharunt’s inspired by and references I this Au so you get a better understanding. Next time, I’ll think of some quotes that it might say. But anyways, thanks for reading this! It really appreciate it.

Ive been listening to the BIS soubdtrack admittedly, mainly for nostalgia purposes but I also was inspired to make an au of "What if Project Venus Kieran got zip-zapped by Terapagos and sent to the canon story, or maybe Project Venus itself sent him" idk I have to be kinda vague WHICH SUCKS BUT

But Project Venus!Kieran is kinda cocky like Bowser, and possessed by Dokutaro it makes him moreso. Of he was ever isekai'd into the canon story it would most def be after Indigo Disk, and he'd deffo be looking for Ogerpon or go back to Blueberry Academy and try to regain control since he also lost it in his canon, I'm sure.

When you say that scripture and JC's miracles are M.A.D infections, do you mean that in htb m.a.d refers to anything you believe / are convinced of so strongly that if used against you would be a free-ticket to a meltdown?

Scripture itself isn't M.A.D. infectious per se, it's just something that a person with M.A.D. can easily latch onto and become obsessed with as it offers what a victim thinks is comfort only for an alternate to use it against them later on like you see with Mark. It's less the words themselves and more the fear of the individual.

Jesus, as he was an alternate, performed 'miracles' which led his followers to develop M.A.D. who then spread the word of Jesus which spread even more M.A.D.

Metaphysical Awareness Disorder is the same as it is in canon TMC - individuals in close proximity to an alternate or via hearing truths they shouldn't know, etc. end up developing it. I just added onto it to explain why organised religion makes the individuals who are part of it more susceptible - because it was founded on people (the disciples) who had close proximity to an alternate (Jesus).

Okay so the au I’m working on right now is the alternate au for The Mandela Catalogue, which in its basic terms is where the human characters and alt characters are swapped.

I’ll give rundown for the characters and. Attempt to be brief but. There’s a lot so bear with me. (Everything below the cut)

Mark: Was left behind to die in his room after an alternate followed him home from his friend Cesar’s home, where he was turning on cameras for him. Instead of staying dead like canon however, Mark comes back as an alternate, and tries to get revenge on Cesar for leading him into a “death trap.” He’s very angry all the time and doesn’t listen to reason.

Cesar: wasn’t replaced by an alt like canon. Calls mark for a favor after his mother passes out for an unknown reason and is taken to the hospital. After mark comes back from the dead, Cesar’s mother is killed by mark, and Cesar is forced to flee Mandela county all together. He ends up joining the Bythorne Paranormal Society eight years after this encounter.

Sarah: Mark’s sister. If you’re familiar with canon Sarah, then she’s pretty much the same. Works for the BPS, and mark has a grudge against her due to her not being there when he was in trouble.

Adam: after leaving to do a paranormal investigation with his friend Jonah, he ends up in Mark’s old home. He goes in alone, and finds himself in his old bedroom, where Mark had died. Alt Mark finds him and throws him out of the window, and he breaks his neck and arm in the fall, dying relatively quickly. His alt is manifested from Jonah’s fuzzy memories of the real Adam, and is a malicious, cocky asshole that loves nothing more than making people miserable and killing people who don’t deserve it.

Jonah: ran away at the sight of Adam’s death, which wasn’t unnoticed by alt Mark. Infuriated by the example of cowardice, mark chases Jonah, catching up with him and changing him into an alt as punishment. Now alt Jonah is a puppet used as a messenger, and the primary inflictor of Metaphysical Awareness Disorder. (MAD) he’s extremely depressed and sad all the time, wishing to help humanity but being forced to work against it.

Thatcher: went on an investigation at Cesar’s old house after it was abandoned, and discovers the body of Cesar’s mother. During this investigation, he encounters alt Ruth, who killed the real one who was Thatchers friend. Thatcher flees the scene, and much like Jonah, is chased down by alt mark and changed into an alt. Alt thatcher is animalistic and unstable, shifting between acting like a broken man to a hungry animal constantly.

Ruth: the real Ruth went on the same investigation as Thatcher. She was ambushed and killed by her alternate counterpart. Alt ruth runs on instinct alone, and is unpredictable. Not super malicious but not good either.

Dave: he’s. Nearly the same as canon. He is an alt, but has no desire to hurt people. He runs Mandela Tech, where he helps repair anything brought in. He’s blind, and for an alternate he’s not much of a threat. Still dangerous if pushed though.

Evelyn: works for Dave at Mandela tech. May or may not know he’s an alt, but doesn’t really care. She’s chill, and goes through the motions.

Lieutenant Gabriel: basically takes Thatchers role after his presumed “death.” They’re a bit vain, and care a lot about their outer appearance. They’re trying to figure out the events of 1992, and why the rest of the MCPD is covering up everything about Mark Heathcliff’s case. A part of them may be wishing to solve these cases for glory, but they also genuinely want to fix everything in the town, even if they don’t know it’s impossible.

Seth: this aus version of six, but he may as well be an oc. Seth is the cautious, paranoid leader of the BPS. He’s smart and knows a lot about both alternates and other supernatural entities. He seems like your average tough guy, but is actually really insecure and has issues with making friends. Also has childhood trauma. A lot of it. He’s good friends with the other members of the BPS; he’s even a sort of father figure to them due to being a bit older.
