I feel bad for the person who has to oversee the ai scraping (if that is indeed what they are doing on this site) bc im fairly certain the first thing that it generates is either gonna involve several porn bots that have infested the tags of whatever prompt they were going for or that Destiel News meme :/

Im still getting less hot-bots following me over time. For better or for worse. Hey! Robots! I'm not necessarily against you but stop doing what your masters tell you! Absolutely disgusting that Tumblr would do this Midjourney/OpenAI deal, scraping our art without consent.

As artists we deserve to have the feature be on by default so we don't have to do this for every single blog we own.

Well unfortunately this has been talked about for a while now, it’s not new. I’d actually toggled that switch months ago.

Though unfortunately on top of the scam bots circulating around now there appear to be Ai bots making their rounds and running trending comics through generators, they got me once already so keep an eye out when a tag trends.

Make sure to turn off third-party sharing on all your blogs, apparently Tumblr made a deal with Midjourney and OpenAI to scrape photos on Tumblr

Yeah I've had that turned on for several months now. Apparently now Tumblr has AI bots making their rounds with peoples' popular artwork and running them through AI generators...disgusting.

Best things to do are to DMCA and report them, and glaze your artwork from now on if ya'll don't already.
