How Custom Software Development Transforms Modern Businesses: Insights from CodEduIn an era dominated by rapid technological advancements, businesses are under immense pressure to stay competitive, efficient, and customer-focused. Off-the-shelf software, while useful, often falls short in addressing the unique challenges and dynamic needs of individual businesses. This is where custom software development steps in—a solution tailored specifically to meet the requirements of a business.
CodEdu Software Technologies, based in Cochin, Kerala, specializes in creating innovative, customer-centric software solutions that empower businesses to streamline operations, improve productivity, and enhance customer experiences. In this blog, we’ll explore how custom software development is transforming modern businesses and why partnering with CodEdu can be a game-changer.
What Is Custom Software Development? Custom software development involves designing, developing, and deploying software solutions tailored to meet a business's specific requirements. Unlike generic, off-the-shelf software, custom solutions are built from the ground up to align with a company’s processes, goals, and challenges.
This personalized approach allows businesses to create tools that integrate seamlessly with their existing operations, enhancing efficiency and providing a competitive edge.
The Key Benefits of Custom Software Development
Tailored to Specific Business Needs Custom software is designed to address a company’s unique requirements. Whether it’s automating a workflow, integrating with other tools, or solving specific challenges, the solution is built to fit seamlessly into the business ecosystem.
For example, an e-commerce business may require a software system that combines inventory management, personalized customer recommendations, and a secure payment gateway. Off-the-shelf software may provide one or two of these features but rarely all in an integrated manner.
Enhanced Efficiency and Productivity Custom software eliminates redundancies and streamlines operations. By automating repetitive tasks and integrating seamlessly with existing tools, businesses can significantly reduce manual effort and focus on core activities.
CodEdu has worked with several businesses to create custom solutions that enhance efficiency. One notable example is a manufacturing client who needed real-time tracking of production cycles. The tailored solution reduced delays and optimized resource allocation, saving the client both time and money.
Scalability for Future Growth One of the major limitations of off-the-shelf software is its inability to scale. As businesses grow and evolve, their software needs change. Custom software, on the other hand, is designed with scalability in mind.
CodEdu’s solutions are built to grow alongside businesses, allowing for easy updates and additional features as new challenges and opportunities arise.
Improved Security Data security is a top concern for businesses today. Custom software allows for the integration of advanced security features tailored to the specific vulnerabilities of the organization.
Unlike generic solutions that use standard security protocols, custom software incorporates unique safeguards, making it harder for malicious actors to breach the system.
Cost-Effectiveness in the Long Run While the initial investment for custom software may be higher than purchasing off-the-shelf solutions, it offers significant savings in the long run. Businesses avoid recurring licensing fees, third-party tool integration costs, and inefficiencies caused by mismatched software capabilities.
Real-World Applications of Custom Software Development Custom software development is revolutionizing industries by offering solutions that address specific operational challenges. Here are some examples of how businesses are leveraging tailored solutions:
E-Commerce Industry E-commerce companies face unique challenges, such as managing large inventories, providing personalized customer experiences, and ensuring secure transactions. Custom software can integrate inventory management systems, CRM tools, and AI-driven recommendation engines into a single platform, streamlining operations and boosting sales.
Healthcare Sector The healthcare industry requires solutions that ensure patient confidentiality, streamline appointment scheduling, and manage medical records efficiently. Custom software allows healthcare providers to deliver telemedicine services, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and improve patient outcomes.
Education and Training Educational institutions and training academies are leveraging custom Learning Management Systems (LMS) to provide personalized learning experiences. CodEdu has developed platforms that enable online assessments, real-time feedback, and interactive learning tools for students.
Logistics and Supply Chain Logistics companies require software that provides real-time tracking, route optimization, and automated billing. CodEdu has partnered with logistics providers to build solutions that reduce operational costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
How CodEdu Approaches Custom Software Development At CodEdu Software Technologies, we believe in a collaborative, customer-centric approach to software development. Here’s how we ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions:
Understanding Business Needs Our process begins with a detailed consultation to understand the client’s goals, pain points, and operational workflows. This ensures that the solution aligns perfectly with the business’s requirements.
Agile Development Methodology We adopt an agile approach to development, breaking the project into smaller, manageable phases. This allows for flexibility, regular feedback, and timely delivery of the final product.
Cutting-Edge Technology Our team leverages the latest technologies, including AI, machine learning, cloud computing, and blockchain, to deliver innovative and robust solutions.
Ongoing Support and Maintenance Software development doesn’t end with deployment. We provide ongoing support and updates to ensure the solution remains effective as the business evolves.
Future Trends in Custom Software Development The world of custom software development is continuously evolving. Here are some trends that are shaping the future:
AI and Machine Learning Integration Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning are enabling businesses to automate processes, predict trends, and provide personalized customer experiences. From chatbots to predictive analytics, these technologies are transforming industries.
Cloud-Based Solutions Cloud computing is revolutionizing software development by offering scalability, accessibility, and cost efficiency. Businesses are increasingly adopting cloud-based custom software to enable remote access and collaboration.
IoT-Driven Solutions The Internet of Things (IoT) is creating opportunities for custom software that connects devices and collects data in real-time. This is particularly beneficial in industries such as healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing.
Low-Code and No-Code Platforms Low-code and no-code platforms are simplifying the development process, allowing businesses to create custom software with minimal technical expertise. While not a replacement for traditional development, these platforms are enabling faster prototyping and iteration.

Mr Oblivious
Pairing: Oscar Piastri x Felicity Leong-Piastri (Original Character)
Summary: Oscar Piastri is absolutely oblivious to the fact that people try to flirt with him. It drives Lando nuts. Felicity finds it very amusing though.
(divider thanks to @saradika-graphics )
Tumblr media
Lando Norris had a very simple opinion about Oscar Piastri:
The man was smart, fast, loyal to a fault — And completely, hopelessly, oblivious.
Especially about certain things.
Like, say, the fact that every now and then, some thirsty influencer or overly-friendly interviewer decided they wanted to test their luck around one of McLaren’s golden boys.
Case in point: today.
It was supposed to be a simple media day.
Smile, wave, answer a few questions without accidentally swearing — easy stuff.
And then she showed up.
Some influencer.
Lando didn’t catch her name.
Didn’t want to.
Her outfit was orange enough to suggest she'd Googled "McLaren colors" five minutes before showing up.
Her laugh was the kind that made Lando want to put himself in an ice bath.
But what really got him was the way she locked eyes on Oscar from the moment she walked into the room.
Like a hawk spotting a particularly delicious rabbit.
And Oscar — sweet, pure, unsuspecting Oscar — stood there politely, posture perfect, nodding like he was about to explain suspension geometry to a cactus.
She sidled up to him with all the grace of a Bond girl in heels, flashing teeth and dimples and Lando could see it coming.
Could see the slow-motion train wreck unfolding with the inevitability of a Ferrari strategy call.
She sidled closer.
Tilted her head. Big fake lashes, even faker laugh.
"So, Oscar," she purred, "looking very fit this season. What's your secret?"
Lando, standing just off to the side, already felt his skin crawl.
Oscar, meanwhile, nodded thoughtfully like she’d asked him about chassis balance.
"Consistency," he said, serious as anything. "And good hydration habits. Also core strength. That’s really important for maintaining control in high G-force corners. I’ve been working with a new strength and conditioning coach. Core engagement and flexibility training. Lots of functional range mobility exercises. Very important for endurance."
Lando nearly dropped the can of Monster Energy he was carrying.
He physically turned away, took a moment to compose himself, and turned back — and she was still going.
She giggled — the kind of giggle Lando associated with botched lip filler and red flags — and twirled her hair like they were in a teen movie from 2004.
"Flexibility, huh?" she said, her voice doing That Thing™. Then winked.
WINKED.
Oscar, God bless him, nodded solemnly.
"Yeah. Critical for cockpit comfort. Limited hip mobility can lead to premature fatigue during longer races."
Lando just stared.
The influencer stared.
Oscar stared earnestly back. Oscar blinked at her with the open innocence of a Labrador Retriever about to explain knee cartilage.
It was like watching someone flirt with a toaster.
And then — then — she tried it.
She went for the kill.
"Well," she said, laughing in a way that definitely wasn't natural, "maybe you could show me some... flexibility exercises later?"
Lando choked on air.
Oscar, bless him, just looked mildly puzzled.
Lando’s hands curled into fists at his sides.
Oscar thought she wanted workout advice.
Meanwhile, this woman was basically trying to climb him like a tree.
"I mean," Oscar said, frowning thoughtfully, "I guess? If you’re interested in physiotherapy protocols? There's a lot of hip flexor and thoracic mobility involved."
He paused.
"Although," Oscar added very seriously, completely unaware he was standing in a verbal minefield, “you should always get a doctor’s clearance before starting any high-intensity exercise program.”
The influencer blinked.
Lando stared at the heavens.
Why.
Why had the universe given this man a marriage, a child, and a heart of gold, but no flirting radar whatsoever.
Lando was so angry on Oscar’s behalf he actually saw red.
Because it wasn’t just the flirting.
It was the disrespect.
Oscar — who had a wife who fixed racing models better than half the paddock. Oscar — who had a four-year-old daughter who beat engineers at Sudoku. Oscar — who literally carried his entire family in his heart wherever he went.
He wasn’t available.
He wasn’t interested.
And he damn well deserved to have people respect that without needing to tattoo MARRIED. TAKEN. HAS A BUMBLEBEE-OBSESSED DAUGHTER across his forehead.
And then — because clearly the universe wanted to personally test Lando’s self-control — the influencer winked.
Like, full-on, slow-motion, cartoon-style winked at Oscar.
Oscar blinked back, confused.
Then said, very seriously:
"You should also stretch regularly to avoid cramping."
Lando actually made a noise — somewhere between a groan and a dying animal.
The influencer tried to recover, laughing awkwardly, but Oscar had already turned — calm, unfazed — and was politely thanking the PR rep for organizing the media day.
Lando stormed over, practically vibrating with protective rage.
"Mate," he hissed when Oscar finally wandered off-stage, "you realize she was hitting on you, right?"
Oscar frowned. "Was she?"
"YES," Lando hissed, arms flailing. "She was basically ready to throw herself at you!”
Oscar looked genuinely perplexed.
"But... I’m married."
"YES," Lando repeated, louder, like he was explaining quantum physics to a pigeon. "You are married. You have a kid. You are the dictionary definition of off-limits."
Oscar scratched the back of his neck.
"Maybe she didn’t know?"
"She definitely knew," Lando muttered darkly. "You are actually wearing your wedding ring for once and Bee’s little bead bracelet. You might as well walk around holding a sign that says 'I love my wife and daughter more than oxygen.'"
Oscar shrugged, entirely unfazed.
"I mean... it’s true."
Lando stared at him.
Somewhere between admiration and absolute rage.
When they reached the McLaren motorhome, Felicity was there — perched on the couch, Bee asleep with her head on Felicity’s lap, Button the Frog tucked under her tiny arm.
Oscar’s whole face lit up like a sunrise.
He crossed the room without hesitation, dropped a kiss onto Felicity’s hair, and gently stroked Bee’s back.
Felicity smiled up at him, all soft and warm and easy, like they had a language no one else could hear.
Lando stood off to the side, arms crossed, watching it all unfold.
Watching how Oscar's whole world just locked into place around them, without hesitation, without second thought.
Yeah.
Let them flirt. Let them try.
Oscar Piastri had everything he needed right here. And he was smart enough — good enough — to never even glance anywhere else.
***
Meanwhile on Twitter:
@/F1TeaSpill: BREAKING: Influencer tries to flirt with Oscar Piastri.
Oscar responds with “core strength” and “doctor’s clearance.”
Meanwhile, Lando Norris nearly combusts in the background.
[attached: video clip]
@/pitlanechaos: Not Oscar offering that woman a PHYSIOTHERAPY REFERRAL I’m losing it. He thought she wanted professional advice. He’s too pure for this world.
@/felicityfanclub (pinned tweet):
‼️OSCAR PIASTRI IS MARRIED
‼️HE LOVES HIS WIFE
‼️HE LOVES HIS DAUGHTER
‼️HE IS OBLIVIOUSLY LOYAL
‼️AND WE ARE HERE TO DEFEND HIS GOLDEN RETRIEVER ENERGY
@/formulawoah: This man said “consult your doctor” instead of realizing she was flirting. He’s not oblivious. He’s loyal at a molecular level.
@/landohmygod: Lando Norris being 1 second away from lunging across the paddock like an angry chihuahua deserves its own Emmy. He was FIGHTING for Oscar’s honor.
@/suspension_nerd: If I was that influencer and Oscar hit me with “thoracic mobility is important” when I was trying to flirt, I would simply evaporate on the spot.
@/gridgossip: This man has a wife who fixes telemetry errors in her sleep, and makes him bento boxes everyday. AND A DAUGHTER WHO BEATS ENGINEERS AT SUDOKU. What did you THINK was going to happen??
@/F1psychology: Watching Oscar Piastri react to flirting like it's a sports injury safety video is the most fascinating psychological case study I’ve ever seen. Also, Lando's visible rage is priceless.
***
Oscar waited until Bee was down for the night.
She’d fallen asleep curled up around Button the Frog, one arm flung dramatically across her pillow like she was staging a nap-themed protest. He’d kissed her forehead and tucked the blanket under her chin, switching the night light to its soft pink glow before slipping out of her room on quiet feet.
He figured... if Felicity was going to hate him, she probably shouldn’t have to do it in front of their daughter.
Which was stupid. He hadn’t done anything wrong.
But the pit in his stomach wouldn’t go away.
He was sweating, suddenly aware of how clingy the collar of his t-shirt felt. His hands wouldn’t sit still — twitching, tapping, twisting his wedding ring around and around until the skin beneath it burned.
He felt fifteen again. Awkward and uncertain and too full of words he didn’t know how to say.
And then Felicity padded into the living room, hair twisted into a lazy bun, bare feet soft against the floorboards, wearing one of his old McLaren hoodies that hung off her like it still didn’t understand how it ended up lucky enough to be wrapped around her.
She looked soft. Tired. Safe.
She smiled when she saw him, sweet and a little sleepy, like she was expecting him to ask about what tea she wanted or whether he’d remembered to order oat milk.
Oscar nearly chickened out.
Instead, he sat up straighter — awkward and abrupt — and blurted:
"Someone tried to flirt with me today."
Felicity blinked.
Tilted her head slightly, eyebrows raised — curious, not alarmed.
"Okay," she said, in the same tone she might use if he told her they were out of clean towels.
Oscar frowned.
"No, like — really tried. At a media thing. In front of cameras."
She just blinked again. Still calm. Still patient.
Still not mad.
Just... waiting.
Oscar swallowed.
"And I didn’t realize it was flirting until Lando nearly had an aneurysm."
That earned him a real laugh — soft, sudden, surprised. The kind of laugh she gave him when Bee said something absurd or when Oscar accidentally fixed something in the kitchen by whacking it with a shoe.
It went straight to his chest.
God, he loved her.
"And I was worried—" he continued, words stumbling out now like they’d been dammed up too long, "I was worried you’d think I was — I don’t know — encouraging it or — or being stupid, or not noticing because I wanted to miss it—"
Felicity crossed the room in three quick steps, not breaking eye contact once.
She dropped onto the couch beside him, slid her legs over his lap like she did every night, and tucked herself against his side like she’d always belonged there.
"You thought I’d be mad," she said, amused, "because some random influencer tried to flirt with you?"
Oscar nodded miserably, guilt still clinging to the back of his throat.
Felicity pulled back just enough to look up at him.
Eyes shining. Smile small and full of something dangerously close to laughter.
"Oscar," she said slowly, "I saw the whole video. You tried to offer her hydration advice."
He groaned, already regretting every decision he’d made since opening his mouth.
"Please don’t remind me."
"You told her to stretch her hip flexors," Felicity said, delighted. "Oscar, you sounded like a yoga instructor trying to scare off a client."
"Bee probably would’ve handled it better," he muttered, rubbing at his face.
Felicity laughed — a real one this time, head back, eyes crinkled, full-body kind of joy.
Oscar melted a little.
She curled closer, arms winding around his waist like she didn’t intend to let go anytime soon.
"I’m not mad, love," she said gently, brushing her nose against his shoulder. "She never stood a chance."
Oscar blinked down at her, stunned. A little breathless.
Felicity grinned up at him.
"You are so... mine, it’s not even funny."
She said it like a joke. She said it like a truth carved in stone.
Both were true.
Oscar let out a long, shaky breath, tension finally bleeding out of his chest.
"I just didn’t want you to think—"
She kissed his cheek, quieting him with the ease of someone who knew every version of him — the champion, the kid from karting, the dad who braided Bee’s hair with frog clips.
"I married you," Felicity whispered. "I know exactly who you are. I trust you with my life. And frankly, if anyone tries to flirt with you again, I might just send them a condolence card."
Oscar laughed, startled and in love and still trying to figure out how he’d ever ended up this lucky.
"And also," Felicity added, smirking like a fox who had absolutely won, "it’s way too funny to be jealous about."
He buried his face into her neck, overwhelmed by the warmth of her, by the sharp edges of her wit and the soft edges of her love.
"You’re ridiculous," he mumbled, muffled by her skin.
"And you," she said, threading her fingers through his hair like he was something precious, "are very bad at realizing when people want you." A beat. "And your brain is permanently stuck on ‘wife good, daughter best, car fast.’"
Oscar smiled, eyes closed, letting her steady him with nothing more than her heartbeat and her presence.
"You really aren’t mad?" he asked, still half-disbelieving.
Felicity leaned back, just far enough to look at him fully — bright-eyed and ferociously sure.
"Oscar," she said solemnly, "you are the most obliviously loyal man I’ve ever met. If I had to design a loyalty test, it would look like you."
Oscar kissed the curve of her throat, slow and reverent.
"Good thing I only ever wanted you," he murmured.
Felicity’s arms tightened around him, like she could will him into her bones.
"Exactly," she whispered.
Exactly.

It shouldn't be too long of a wait!
In the meantime, please consider signing up for the Shepherds of Haven newsletter: you'll be notified of only the most important announcements--including the release of the public demo, beta-testing opportunities, DLC announcements, and more. Plus, you'll get a free exclusive digital wallpaper based on Shepherds of Haven! :)

"As a Deaf man, Adam Munder has long been advocating for communication rights in a world that chiefly caters to hearing people.
The Intel software engineer and his wife — who is also Deaf — are often unable to use American Sign Language in daily interactions, instead defaulting to texting on a smartphone or passing a pen and paper back and forth with service workers, teachers, and lawyers.
It can make simple tasks, like ordering coffee, more complicated than it should be.
But there are life events that hold greater weight than a cup of coffee.
Recently, Munder and his wife took their daughter in for a doctor’s appointment — and no interpreter was available.
To their surprise, their doctor said: “It’s alright, we’ll just have your daughter interpret for you!” ...
That day at the doctor’s office came at the heels of a thousand frustrating interactions and miscommunications — and Munder is not isolated in his experience.
“Where I live in Arizona, there are more than 1.1 million individuals with a hearing loss,” Munder said, “and only about 400 licensed interpreters.”
In addition to being hard to find, interpreters are expensive. And texting and writing aren’t always practical options — they leave out the emotion, detail, and nuance of a spoken conversation.
ASL is a rich, complex language with its own grammar and culture; a subtle change in speed, direction, facial expression, or gesture can completely change the meaning and tone of a sign.
“Writing back and forth on paper and pen or using a smartphone to text is not equivalent to American Sign Language,” Munder emphasized. “The details and nuance that make us human are lost in both our personal and business conversations.”
His solution? An AI-powered platform called Omnibridge.
“My team has established this bridge between the Deaf world and the hearing world, bringing these worlds together without forcing one to adapt to the other,” Munder said.
Trained on thousands of signs, Omnibridge is engineered to transcribe spoken English and interpret sign language on screen in seconds...
“Our dream is that the technology will be available to everyone, everywhere,” Munder said. “I feel like three to four years from now, we're going to have an app on a phone. Our team has already started working on a cloud-based product, and we're hoping that will be an easy switch from cloud to mobile to an app.” ...
At its heart, Omnibridge is a testament to the positive capabilities of artificial intelligence. "
-via GoodGoodGood, October 25, 2024. More info below the cut!
To test an alpha version of his invention, Munder welcomed TED associate Hasiba Haq on stage.
“I want to show you how this could have changed my interaction at the doctor appointment, had this been available,” Munder said.
He went on to explain that the software would generate a bi-directional conversation, in which Munder’s signs would appear as blue text and spoken word would appear in gray.
At first, there was a brief hiccup on the TED stage. Haq, who was standing in as the doctor’s office receptionist, spoke — but the screen remained blank.
“I don’t believe this; this is the first time that AI has ever failed,” Munder joked, getting a big laugh from the crowd. “Thanks for your patience.”
After a quick reboot, they rolled with the punches and tried again.
Haq asked: “Hi, how’s it going?”
Her words popped up in blue.
Munder signed in reply: “I am good.”
His response popped up in gray.
Back and forth, they recreated the scene from the doctor’s office. But this time Munder retained his autonomy, and no one suggested a 7-year-old should play interpreter.
Munder’s TED debut and tech demonstration didn’t happen overnight — the engineer has been working on Omnibridge for over a decade.
“It takes a lot to build something like this,” Munder told Good Good Good in an exclusive interview, communicating with our team in ASL. “It couldn't just be one or two people. It takes a large team, a lot of resources, millions and millions of dollars to work on a project like this.”
After five years of pitching and research, Intel handpicked Munder’s team for a specialty training program. It was through that backing that Omnibridge began to truly take shape...
“Our dream is that the technology will be available to everyone, everywhere,” Munder said. “I feel like three to four years from now, we're going to have an app on a phone. Our team has already started working on a cloud-based product, and we're hoping that will be an easy switch from cloud to mobile to an app.”
In order to achieve that dream — of transposing their technology to a smartphone — Munder and his team have to play a bit of a waiting game. Today, their platform necessitates building the technology on a PC, with an AI engine.
“A lot of things don't have those AI PC types of chips,” Munder explained. “But as the technology evolves, we expect that smartphones will start to include AI engines. They'll start to include the capability in processing within smartphones. It will take time for the technology to catch up to it, and it probably won't need the power that we're requiring right now on a PC.”
At its heart, Omnibridge is a testament to the positive capabilities of artificial intelligence.
But it is more than a transcription service — it allows people to have face-to-face conversations with each other. There’s a world of difference between passing around a phone or pen and paper and looking someone in the eyes when you speak to them.
It also allows Deaf people to speak ASL directly, without doing the mental gymnastics of translating their words into English.
“For me, English is my second language,” Munder told Good Good Good. “So when I write in English, I have to think: How am I going to adjust the words? How am I going to write it just right so somebody can understand me? It takes me some time and effort, and it's hard for me to express myself actually in doing that. This technology allows someone to be able to express themselves in their native language.”
Ultimately, Munder said that Omnibridge is about “bringing humanity back” to these conversations.
“We’re changing the world through the power of AI, not just revolutionizing technology, but enhancing that human connection,” Munder said at the end of his TED Talk.
“It’s two languages,” he concluded, “signed and spoken, in one seamless conversation.”"

This is why Trump getting rid of FEMA is a big deal…
They were literally planning on putting US Citizens in FEMA Camps…
Did you know FEMA was developed as a Domestic anti-‘Terrorist’ Organization — Not Disaster Emergencies?
🔴 HAVE YOU HEARD OF REX 84?
• Short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was a classified scenario and drill by the United States federal government intended to test the capacity to DETAIN large numbers of American citizens in the event of a “national emergency or civil unrest”.
• The exercise was designed to manage a scenario where a significant number of people would be detained, focusing on potential "national security threats."
• Rex 84 was part of a broader continuity of government plan, involving multiple federal agencies and exercises like Operation Garden Plot, which deals with civil disturbances.
• The exercise included a scenario where the U.S. Army would airlift troops from Fort Bragg to simulate an invasion in Central America, under the code name Rex 84 Night Train.
• Rex 84 Alpha focused on civil mobilization, involving 34 federal agencies, while Rex 84 Bravo was the specific scenario for mass detentions.
• The plan included the capability to detain UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS and/or Americans labeled as security threats.
• It involved the potential use of MILITARY bases as detention centers, which could be activated if a national emergency was declared by the President.
- The plan was part of a series of readiness exercises that tested various aspects of national security and emergency responses.

A giant raspberry sounded from the nursery, followed by a high pitch giggle and then two deeper laughs.
“Where do you think you are going?” Lando asked when Autumn rolled to her tummy and started to crawl away.
“Coming to papa, aren’t you, ma petite?”
Even with the door to the office closed you could hear their soft words as they played in Autumn’s room down the hall. It was hard to concentrate when you were torn between joining your family and completing the testing you were contracted for on the SIM but there were only 30 laps left of the session and the team needed the data. There may have only been three races left for the year but there were plenty of teams with vacant seats waiting to be filled. You understood negotiations took time and there were often conversations with multiple drivers being had at any one time but you were hopeful that at least one seat would be secured for you. The testing for Mercedes, Audi and Williams had been promising.
You finally shut down the SIM racer and left the office but found the nursery dark except for the moon and star mobile that softly glowed as it played a lullaby for Autumn who was fast asleep in her cot. Disappointment grated your resolution as you came to understand how Charles and Lando felt missing time with her when they went away for work, but you pushed it aside as you leant down and kissed her chubby cheek and whispered, “Sweet dreams, my love.”
Lando grinned when you found him in the kitchen making a drink and he instantly picked up on your mood. “Hi honey, how was work?”
You stuck your tongue out and stole the tea he had made as Charles joined you at the breakfast bar, the baby monitor placed in the middle. “When did she go to sleep?”
“About 10 minutes ago. We tried to keep her awake so she could sleep on the plane but she is like her daddy and loves her naps,” Charles said with a pointed look to Lando.
You rolled your tense shoulders after hours in the same position driving and moaned when Charles stood up and used his strong hands to massage them. “Fuck that feels good.”
“You know what else feels good?” Lando asked with a suggestive wink.
You tipped your head back to look up at Charles and found his eyes staring at your breasts with a hunger that could never be sated. “I have a few ideas…” he offered.
You checked your watch and calculated how long Autumn would likely nap for before letting your thoughts wander to the same place as theirs. A trail of clothes littered the hallway to the bedroom and you shoved the suitcases off the bed with little regard for the mess. Motherhood hadn’t diminished your sex drive like some people warned, but the time available was significantly less for said activities. So you made the most of the moments you could.
“Condoms,” you warned while you were still coherent enough to remember. The train of thought was quickly derailed when Lando caught you around the waist and tossed you across the blankets. In an instant he was there, nudging your thighs apart with his shoulders and burying his face between them.
Charles was more leisurely, taking his time and stroking his cock while he watched the two of you. His bottom lip swelled as he pinched it between his teeth until he needed to feel your bodies with the same urgency you felt the moment you saw either of them naked. His hands found your breasts that he had fallen more in love with and he delighted in the weight of them filling his palms. That wasn’t the only change to your body that he loved in the last seven months.
The effort put in with Kristian had paid off and you found breastfeeding absolutely burned through the calories, making it much easier than expected to return to a weight close to pre-pregnancy. He had helped you to get fit without compromising your body's ability to make milk but even toning your muscles couldn’t erase the stretch marks that littered your skin. You were no longer self-conscious of them, Charles and Lando had made sure of that months ago.
Charles’ kiss scorched your lips as he dominated your mouth, parting your lips with his tongue as you moaned against him. Your head fell back as you bared your throat for him, his teeth grazing your racing pulse as he kissed and nipped his way down your body. Your cunt tightened around Lando’s fingers as Charles’ tongue traced the silvery marks that forked like lightning across your hip. It was ticklish and torturous until Lando broke away to share the taste of you with Charles and you moaned at the sight.
“How are you feeling, mon amour?” Charles asked as you reached for them, stroking their hard lengths while their hands roamed your body.
“Impatient and greedy,” you answered with a needy whine when Lando purposefully missed your clit with his thumb.
“I think she wants us,” Lando teased while Charles reached for the box of condoms.
“It does appear that way,” he replied with a chuckle, rolling the latex sheath down his length. “But does she want us both at the same time?”
Your lips parted with a moan at the idea and their eyes darkened until you could hardly see any colour around their dilated pupils. “Please…”
Lando grabbed your hips and rolled, taking you with him until you ended up straddling his waist and he looked up happily. “Hello, beautiful. Do you come here often?”
“Not as much as I would like,” you giggled, but it turned to a moan as he lifted you over his cock and let you sink down on him.
“Putain,” Charles swore softly as he watched you rock your hips and ride Lando. Unable to resist joining in, he straddled Lando’s legs and lined himself up with your body, easing slowly inside as you froze. “Are you okay?”
You couldn’t put into words just how much more than okay you were but you managed to moan and nod.
“She’s good,” Lando confirmed with a strained laugh as he forced himself to stay still while you adjusted to having the both of them seated inside you. It took all his strength not to thrust up like he wanted to, but he didn’t want to hurt you. “Just take it slow, baby.”
Your muscles began to relax and your breathing returned to normal. The strain in your core eased and you slowly began to set the rhythm until the pleasure grew stronger and your body was ready. Moans filled the room and your nails dug into Lando’s chest as your walls fluttered as you fucked yourself against them. Charles reached around your body and cupped your breasts that grew heavy in his touch, his fingers pinching and rolling your nipples until they began to leak.
“Fuck,” Lando moaned at the mess they made of you. Your jaw hung slack and your eyes fluttered shut as your cunt tightened around him. Creamy milk ran in rivulets down your flesh and pooled on his abdomen and he grabbed your waist, tightening his grasp so he could fuck you harder. He could barely think, barely breathe when you drove him wild with the need to fill your cunt with his seed. Lando’s back arched off the bed, lifting you with his as he cried out with his release. His heart hammered in his chest beneath your palms and his cock pulsed inside you, filling the condom.
“God, that felt good, too good,” he chuckled as he swiped a thumb over your nipple and licked the drop of milk he collected. “Hmmm, so sweet.”
“They are very full,” you admitted somewhat shyly, having missed feeding Autumn before her nap.
“I can help you with that,” he offered with a smirk and your body gave you away as it clenched around their cocks.
Charles and Lando were still showering when you heard Autumn on the baby monitor. Rushing around the room, you gave up on drying off properly and tossed a robe around your damp body instead.
“Hello, my littlest love,” you greeted her happily. Light flooded the room as you opened the blockout blinds and found her standing inside her cot, her grabby hands reaching through for you. “I hope you had the sweetest dreams.”
Bright green eyes looked up as you reached down to pick her up and the smile she gave made your heart stutter. The twin dimples were set deep in her round cheeks and the pure joy on her face brightened your day. You still couldn’t believe how lucky you were to call her yours.
You boyfriends must have finished showering as a delicious scent wafted in from the kitchen and you quickly changed Autumn. “Shall we go see what papa is making for lunch?”
Charles was already placing a plastic bowl of fresh cut fruit beside the high chair but Autumn had no interest in that when she saw your plate of stroopwafels.
“Just like her mama,” Charles chuckled, placing a second plate down for Lando who emerged from the bedroom half dressed.
“Have you seen my shirt?”
“You’re going to have to narrow that down,” you commented after swallowing a mouthful of waffles.
“McLaren one.”
“That doesn’t exactly help, mon cher.”
He waved a hand dismissively before he spied the papaya coloured material in the living room. A corner of the sleeve peeked out from the soft play toys overflowing from the storage box and Lando dug it out with a laugh.
“See, she wants to join the papaya army,” he said as he sniffed it before pulling it on.
“Why don’t you get a clean one?”
Lando frowned and looked down to see if there were any marks. “It is clean.”
“Men, honestly,” you muttered to Autumn, only to notice she had stolen a stroopwafel while you weren’t looking. “Hey, that’s mine. You’re lucky you’re cute, missy.”
Charles joined you at the table and reached for one too but you smacked his hand out of the way. “Am I not cute too?” he asked with a pout.
You cradled his jaw and brushed a thumb over his pouting lip before giving him a kiss. “Baby, there’s many things I would call you before calling you cute. Handsome, sexy, love of my life-”
He cut you off with a kiss, his arm snaking around your body to pull you onto his lap. “Sorry, keep going, amour.”
You blinked twice as you tried to remember what you were doing but he was still distracting you with his lips on your neck. “I lost my train of thought now.”
“Cover your eyes, baby girl,” Lando gasped dramatically. “Papa is being naughty.”
“If papa wasn’t naughty she wouldn’t be here,” you pointed out with a smirk.
“Would having another be so bad?”
You practically jumped off Charles’ lap and wagged a finger at him when he shared a conspiratorial look with Lando.
“Not happening.” You closed your robe tighter to prove the point and crossed your arms over the thick material. “You two can keep it in your pants until those thoughts are looong gone.”
You left them to get dressed and returned in a pair of sweatpants and a stolen hoodie, the attempt to hide your body only making them laugh more. “You do realise I get turned on when you wear my clothes,” Lando pointed out as he tugged the cord, closing the hoodie around your face. With only your lips visible through the hole he stole a kiss and buried his hands in the back pocket on the sweatpants, squeezing your ass. “Forgive me yet, baby?”
“No,” you grumbled, but the way your body leaned into his contradicted the word.
Light burst back into your vision as Charles pulled the hood back and he tugged you out of Lando’s arms. “We have a flight to get ready for and 20 hours is a long time to have blue balls, mon cher.”
“I just wanted a cuddle,” Lando groaned. Charles gave him a look that said he clearly didn’t believe him and Lando turned away to free Autumn from the high chair. “Come on, princess, it’s just you and me against the world.”
The toddler earmuffs swamped Autumn’s head but they seemed to work as she slept soundly strapped to Lando’s chest in a front pack. It was way past her bedtime and it probably would have been best to return to the hotel and put her in the travel cot but you wanted to be with Lando and Charles for the race. Being back at the track where Lando crashed left all of you unsettled but he calmed down best with Autumn in his arms.
“This late night schedule is so messed up. There’s still four hours to go. What are we meant to do in the meantime?” Charles asked as he checked his phone again for the schedule of pre-race events.
“We could get married, well not legally get married, but nothing says we can’t have the ceremony,” Lando said as he pointed to the paddock chapel: Race to the Altar. “What do you say?”
“Romantic,” you chuckled, watching Charles as he dragged a hand down his face in dismay. “But it’s the thought that counts. Why not?”
“Wait, really?” Lando gaped, unsure if you were playing with him or serious.
You shrugged and looked at Charles. “We already have the baby and you guys already called me your wife.”
“She makes a good point,” he admitted, a smile growing as he looked at Lando. “So?”
Lando’s brows lifted and for a second he was lost for words. “I mean, yeah, let’s just go get married. Why not? Let’s fucking do this. You aren’t joking right?”
“You asked me,” you laughed. “Backing out already?”
“No, absolutely not. We are doing this,” he said with a nod. “But, uh, should we call anyone?”
Max was in the paddock, so was your mother and Lando’s father, but other than that most of your families hadn’t been able to make the trip.
“How about we do this on our own?” you suggested as you continued along the path towards the Chapel. “Maybe we can have a proper celebration during the break? We don’t even have rings.”
“They actually have themed rings, they are mini Pirelli’s,” Lando said as he showed his phone after a quick google search.
“Yikes, we are not getting the C5 - that just won’t last.”
“Aw, don’t like it soft, baby?”
“C1 all the way,” you said with a flirty wink, “go hard or go home.”
Charles laughed along with Lando. “How about full wets, no?”
“Now you’re talking. Maybe she can wear Wet and we can have Hard’s.”
“No, thank you. When we get home we can get proper rings made for us.”
The guys still debated getting the Pirelli themed rings in the meantime, until you threatened a quick divorce. It didn’t take much convincing for the minister to make a three way wedding but in Vegas that was probably one of the more sedate requests he had received.
“There are some suits in the changing room if you want,” he offered, jutting a thumb to the room behind him. “A dress too, ma’am.”
Lando looked down at his McLaren shirt and Charles did the same with his Ferrari. “If you are half as loyal to me as you are to your team then I am one lucky lady,” you chuckled before nodding to the minister. “We are fine as we are, thank you.”
“Okey dokey, then let’s get started. Do you have any vows prepared?” He took the silence as a no and clicked his tongue. “No matter, I have the basics. Just fill out these forms and I’ll take a copy of your ID.”
“This isn’t going to be legal though,” Charles confirmed with a frown.
“Not technically,” he said with a shrug, “but I can still fill out the paperwork and give you a copy for keepsake. Call it ‘the experience’.”
You liked the idea of having marriage certificates and you already knew where you were going to hang the framed copies in the bedroom. It was painful having to complete three forms though, one for your ‘marriage’ to Lando, one to Charles and then a third for Lando and Charles’ ‘marriage’ to each other.
“Repeat after me,” the minister said, reading the standard vows you had seen in every movie.
“I, Y/N L/N, take you both, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, to be my husbands, to have and to hold this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part.” Your lip began to wobble as the ceremony began to feel real and it was no longer just a fun way to pass time. This is what you wanted, to have both of these men for eternity, and you couldn’t stop from adding, “And if I go first, just know that I will wait forever if I have to until we meet again because this life together will never be long enough. Now please say something funny before I really start crying.”
Lando choked a laugh and wiped his eyes. “I, Lando Norris, take you, Y/N L/N, to be my wife, and you, Charles Leclerc, to be my husband to have and to hold this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part. I also promise to be your biggest fan and support you through every win and DNF life throws at us, and do your laundry.”
Your laugh cracked with a sob and you looked at Lando through watery vision before turning to Charles.
“I, Charles Leclerc, take you, Y/N L/N, to be my wife, and you, Lando Norris, to be my husband to have and to hold this day forward,” he sniffled and wiped away the tears that escaped before he could continue. “When we met we were rivals, threatened by each other's talent, but when we fell in love we were racers who respected one another. Today, I get to marry my best friends and I promise to always be there to help you achieve your dreams and help us grow together as our journey continues to eternity. And I promise to always put our family first…Ferrari a close second.”
“Forza Ferrari,” the minister murmured with a small supportive nod before he reached for the box of tissues under the dais he stood beside. He gave you a moment to dry your eyes before he smiled. “Then by the power vested in me by the State of Nevada, I now pronounce you, husband and wife, and husband.”
A stupid giddy laugh escaped and you didn’t bother waiting to hear the next part as you threw your arms around your husband’s and kissed them. It felt like you were floating away with the surrealness of the situation as you signed the documents and they were handed off to an assistant that just arrived. It had been less than half an hour since Lando had suggested it and then suddenly you were holding three laminated sheets of paper meticulously detailing a wedding as if it were legal.
“We need to get back to the hotel now,” you said as you held the documents close to your chest.
“Consummation time,” Lando winked.
“I won’t have my first time as a married woman be a quickie, thank you,” you tutted. “These are going straight in the safe before anyone sees them and it gets leaked. Max would probably kill us for not inviting him.”
“I’m glad you are included this time. Usually it’s only us getting death threats from him,” Charles teased before checking his phone. “We should have time to drop it off and get back before the media interviews begin.”

Chicken Soup for the
Peredhel Soul 🤧
Ages ago, I read a post about Maedhros and Maglor absolutely falling to pieces when Elrond and Elros catch a cold. For the life of me, I can't find it again, but this is my cozy cuddles submission inspired by that. ❤️‍🩹 @rivendellwatch

It began with a simple sneeze.
“Elia de!” Elros replied, consoling his twin with a gentle pat on the back.
“Thanks…” Elrond responded with a sniffle, wiping his small nose against the sleeve of his tunic.
“Are you gonna finish that?”
“Mm-mm,” Elrond shook his head and nudged the bowl of porridge to his brother, who took it eagerly, and began shoveling heaping spoonfuls into his mouth.
Maglor set down his tea gently and glanced at the boys with furrowed brows. “Elrond, are you- Elros, by the Flame Imperishable, please, you'll choke if you don't slow down.” Their captor-turned-guardian scolded, blinking with disbelief at the lack of manners on full display.
With a heavy sigh, he tried again.
“Elrond, are you well?”
“I'm just a little stuffy…”
“Stuffy?” Maglor turned to Maedhros, who merely shrugged, intently scouring the large stack of correspondence before him.
“Perhaps this is an affliction common among the Secondborn,” Maedhros suggested, his gray eyes continuing to scan the pages before him.
“Does it pass quickly?” Maglor asked gently.
“Mm-hmm,” Elros answered, his cheeks nearly bursting with porridge.
Maglor released a long-suffering sigh, mumbling a prayer for patience in Quenya. Maedhros merely smirked. The scene reminded him of more peaceful days, under the light of Laurelin and Telperion. When seven boisterous brothers ate breakfast all together, caring very little for table manners.
His pleasant reverie didn't last long.
Both Maedhros and Maglor nearly jumped out of their skins as Elros released a violent hiccup, then another, and another. His little body bounced with every spasm. Elrond stifled a laugh as Elros groaned, continuing to hiccup as he threw his head back dramatically against the chair.
“What…in all of Arda..was that?” Maedhros asked, finally lifting his gaze.
“Ugh…I -hic- ate too -hic- fast,”
Maedhros looked to Maglor, who gave an exasperated shrug in response, deciding instead to return to his tea, chalking it up to yet more surprising Peredhel quirks.
Tumblr media
By late afternoon, Maedhros and Maglor had carried on with their daily routines, as had Elrond and Elros…or so they thought.
The eldest son of Fëanor moved with masterful precision in the training yard, testing the mobility of a new shield tethered to his right arm. He winced following a particularly punishing blow against a wooden dummy. The design was undoubtedly an improvement, but still chafed against his residual limb.
“The weight distribution is still slightly off,” Maedhros sheathed his sword and turned to one of his master smiths, gesturing to the shield. “But if we adjust the straps here and here, it should reduce friction while still maintaining mobility.”
He unclasped the buckles with his left hand while the smith assisted, lifting the heavy shield into his arms to begin sketching the proposed alterations.
“Have you seen Elrond and Elros? They should have arrived by now.”
“Can't say I have. Perhaps the young masters are still tending to their studies.” The smith suggested mid-notation, before offering a polite bow and departing.
Maedhros grumbled to himself and marched back to the main hall, determined to track down the tardy twins. He stumbled upon Maglor first, reclined in a rare moment of mirth, and engrossed in a heavily annotated book reading: Daeron of Doriath -The Definitive Collection.
“Have you seen Elrond and Elros?”
“Not since breakfast,” Maglor replied coolly, audibly scoffing as he scratched more commentary in the margins. There was a brief pause before his quill stilled and realization dawned. “Shouldn't they be on the training grounds… with you?” he asked, snapping the book shut.
The sons of Fëanor scoured the fortress, searching high and low for any sign of the twins. Just as panic began to seize their hearts, they heard two distinct coughs from the direction of the library. Skidding to a halt, they spotted two small figures huddled together by the hearth, wrapped tightly in their warm woolen traveling cloaks. Maglor approached first and kneeled beside them.
“Eleninya, why are you shaking?”
“It's so cold, how can you stand it?” Elrond asked through chattering teeth. Elros merely nuzzled closer under Elrond's arm, shivering, sniffling, and uncharacteristically quiet.
The flickering light of the fire illuminated the thin sheen of sweat glistening on their brows. Maglor frowned, lifting his hand to rest against Elrond’s forehead before moving to Elros’.  They felt wrong, clammy, entirely too warm.
“They’re burning up,” Maglor's voice was tight, torn between wrapping the shivering twins in his arms and drawing them a cold bath.
Maedhros crouched on their other side, using a fire iron to separate the large stack of haphazardly placed logs. His eyes then turned to the twins, brows furrowed with confusion.
“Elros, you're turning…green,”
“Green? What do you mean green?” Maglor leaned in closer, cupping the boy's chin gently to get a better look. “Elros, melin, let me see you,”
Elros met his gaze with watery eyes, his little body lurched, an audible squelch left his throat… and then:
Pure chaos erupted.
Tumblr media
The two Fëanoreans stood catatonic.
Together, they had experienced true devastation and seen horrors beyond imagining. Yet what they had just witnessed… completely defied what they believed an incarnate body was capable of.
“Elrond didn't even touch his breakfast… where did this all come from?” Maglor asked, hesitantly lifting a vomit-drenched braid from his shoulder.
“From Utumno itself…” Maedhros replied somberly, brushing thick chunks of porridge from his tunic and onto the equally soiled floor.
“We’re out of our depth Nelyo, for all we know, this could be some kind of plague…they could-”
“No,” Maedhros fixed his eyes on his brother, the fire of the hearth burning in their reflection. “We’re not losing them Kano. I can’t- not again...” his voice choked back a rare sob, and Maglor hesitated only a heartbeat before wrapping his vomit-soaked brother in a tight hug.
“We need an expert, one of the Secondborn, or…” Maglor paused, then snapped his fingers. “Another Peredhel,”
“Erestor?” Maedhros’ brows furrowed. “Would he answer our summons?”
“He may for them,” Maglor replied thoughtfully, nodding toward the corridor where the sounds of sickly coughs and water splashing could be heard.
Maedhros sighed, his boots slopping across the ruined rug towards a lone writing desk. After pressing the parchment flat and dipping a well-worn quill, he began writing the urgent missive:
Erestor Morifinweion, of the House of Haleth,
Nephew, I write to you in desperation. The sons of Eärendil and Elwing have taken ill, a plague set upon them by Morgoth to be sure. They burn to the touch, yet shiver as if gripped by winter's chill. Dreadful coughs rattle their small bodies and the fetid bile they spew…I will spare the details, but trust when I say it would break even the strongest among us.
We among the Firstborn do not fall prey to mortal ailments. Thus, Maglor and I cannot fathom the nature of this illness. But you Erestor, you were raised among the Secondborn, and know more of their ways than any in our House.
I understand your anger and resentment towards us, nephew. Since your father's death, I have abided your wishes and left you in peace, but these boys are innocent of our sins. Please, Erestor, if there is any hope, bring it swiftly to us. I implore you.- Maedhros Fëanorion, Lord of Amon Ereb
Maedhros sealed the letter with a dollop of red wax and the embossing of a star pressed with the firm weight of his ringed knuckle.
“Take this to our swiftest rider, tell them to put this letter directly into Erestor Morifinweion's hands, and to bring him straight here,”
“At once, my Lord.”  The servant took the envelope with care and hurried down the hall.
“Should we not send multiple riders, Neylo?” Maglor asked with a furrowed brow. “He could be any number of places within Beleriand.”
Maedhros shook his head in reply and shirked his soiled tunic. “I've kept close tabs on Erestor and Tyelpë for years, one rider is enough.”
Tumblr media
Erestor Morifinweion arrived the following evening, red-faced and smoldering with barely contained irritation. Flanked by two attendants, he was brought before his uncles with the utmost haste. He had prepared a lengthy monologue on the arduous journey here, eager to berate his kin and their new-found penchant for abduction…
But the scene before him stalled his wroth.
The ordinarily intimidating sons of Fëanor sat attentively with Elrond and Elros between them. The twins were wrapped under a heavy woolen blanket, cradled within their caretaker’s protective arms. Maedhros gently pressed a cloth to Elros’ nose, who blew into it forcefully with a stuffed-up groan, while Maglor sang to them softly a song of peace and healing.
“You summoned me uncles,” Erestor’s clipped voice cut off Maglor’s song, shifting their attention to him in an instant.
“Erestor,” Maedhros nodded in greeting, shifting slightly to prop up the drowsy twins.
“Please nephew, we are at our wit’s end,” Maglor gestured for him to come closer. “Clear water, cooling cloths, songs of vitality…nothing seems to ease their suffering.”
Erestor kneeled in front of the twins, his expression softening as he met their bleary gaze. “Not feeling very well, huh?”
“Mm-mm…” Elros replied, nuzzling his head further into Maedhros’ arm.
“We threw up…everywhere,” Elrond clarified sheepishly.
He stifled a laugh and, with a gentle hand, felt their brows. “Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is, their fevers have broken.”
“And the bad news?” Maglor asked, silently preparing himself for the worst.
“There is no miracle cure for this,” he replied coolly. “It’s a cold, goes away on its own after a few days; chicken soup, plenty of rest, lots of water. In short, you spun yourselves up in a whirlwind of dramatics and abducted me for the common cold…”
“There was nothing common about this…” Maedhros muttered grimly, causing Erestor to roll his eyes.
“Can-can you make us some chicken soup?” Elros asked timidly.
“Please,” Elrond added with large pleading eyes.
“Sure,” Erestor ruffled their hair affectionately and stood. “I’ll make you my mother’s old recipe, she used to say it could cure anything…even my father’s foul moods.”
Tumblr media
The smell of warm spices and roasted chicken filled the dining hall as Erestor carefully ladled the soup into five large bowls. Elrond and Elros held their spoons upright in eager anticipation, furiously blowing at the steam as soon as the soup was placed in front of them. Maglor was the first to take a slow sip, his eyes lighting up as he took in the rich flavors of the broth.
“I can see how this would soothe even Moryo’s temper.”
Maedhros partook next, chewing the tender chicken with a pleased hum before going back for more of the broth.
“Moryo was always particularly fond of savory dishes. He used to beg our mother every day for the same dinner, braised elk and-”
“Leek,” Erestor cut in with a wistful smile. “He told us, mother often made it for him when the hunting was good.”
As the dinner progressed, there was a subtle but noticeable shift. The tension between Erestor and his uncles eased little by little as they shared stories of their families during happier times. The lighter mood hit its peak as Maglor animatedly recounted a tale of a particularly humorous hunt, only to be disrupted by a duet of loud slurping. The three older elves turned, stifling their laughter as they found Elrond and Elros hidden from view behind two large bowls, tipping back to enjoy every drop.
The twins then sighed, finally finding some semblance of comfort as the steam relieved their congestion and warmed their bones.
“That was so goo-” Maglor and Maedhros froze as Elros’ stomach lurched. Elrond winced, preparing himself for the worst, only to be met with a deafening burp from his brother. Elrond cackled, and not to be outdone, inhaled sharply, forcing a burp of his own. The twins nearly fell out of their chairs in giggles, as they continued to see who could burp the loudest.
Maglor closed his eyes, but said nothing, relieved that the twins seemed to finally be on the mend. Maedhros’ eyes softened as he turned back to Erestor.
“Thank you, nephew.”
“Y-you’re welcome.” Erestor replied, hesitantly optimistic that maybe, just maybe, he still had family after all...

“Where is mom?”| Kylian Mbappé x Fem Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary:  After a day filled with the profound exertion of bringing your second child into the world, a moment of tender anticipation arrives: it's time for your eldest to meet her new sibling.
Warnings: English is not my first language
After enduring six grueling hours of labor, you finally welcomed little Jules into the world—a spitting image of his father. As the nurse reassured you of his perfect health after all the tests performed to check both his heart and hearing, your thoughts drifted to your daughter, Manon, and how she might be feeling on this momentous day.
"Are you okay, my love?" Kylian's concerned voice interrupted your reverie as he made skin-to-skin contact on the couch in the room with Jules.
"Do you think Manon is okay?" you whispered, trying not to disturb the baby sleeping in your husband's arms.
"Honey, everything will be fine. You know she's with my mother, and if she was sick or something had happened, she would have contacted us," Kylian reassured, his voice gentle and soothing.
"Yes, Kylian, but she's not used to changes, and today has been anything but routine. Could you text your mother and ask her to come today instead of waiting until tomorrow to meet the baby? And to bring Manon with her, please," you pleaded, concern evident in your tone.
"Of course, my love. But try to relax and rest. I'm sure she's fine and just eager to cuddle us," Kylian said, gently laying Jules in his cot before enveloping you in a comforting embrace.
Your concern for Manon might have seemed excessive to some, but your motherly instinct told you otherwise. You knew your daughter well, and despite the joyous occasion, something deep down told you she wasn't having a good day. It had been a challenging few months for your family, especially for her. Manon was accustomed to being the center of attention, the youngest grandchild and only daughter of doting parents. Kylian, in particular, showered her with affection, earning her the title of "daddy's girl." Even on days when he had to travel for matches, he made sure she knew she was always his little girl. They had a ritual: before each pre-match training, he recorded himself telling her a story, allowing you to play it for her at bedtime. Often, she fell asleep hugging the mobile phone that displayed her father's face.
When you found out you were pregnant again, you couldn't help but worry about Manon's reaction. However, she surprised you by being thrilled at the news. Her excitement grew when she found out she was going to have a baby brother, and her joy was more than evident at the baby shower, where she participated enthusiastically as the one who popped the balloon revealing the gender of her baby brother.
But not everything had been smooth sailing in the past few months. Manon quickly grasped the concept of becoming a big sister. You couldn't blame her; you knew you and Kylian had indulged her, but how could you resist? So it wasn't surprising when she cried inconsolably as Kylian explained that she would have to stop sleeping in your double bed because the baby would need a lot of nighttime care. If she slept with you, she wouldn't get much rest.
Similarly, there was something you hadn't told Kylian in any depth because what little he knew had broken his heart, and had ended with him clinging to you as you both wept inconsolably, apologizing to her for having to leave home. But your little girl wasn't coping well with having to leave France next year, and you couldn't blame her. She had only just started kindergarten this year and had managed to make many friends at her little school. In addition, this year she had managed to start going to a ballet academy where she felt like a real princess in every class. You completely understood her frustration and understood how everything she knew would quickly cease to exist. There would be no more afternoons in the park, no more afternoons playing with Navas' children, and even your little girl would have to get used to another teacher and other doctors. But you knew that this was the best thing for Kylian and that he deserved to fulfill his dream. So you tried to convince your little girl, assuring her that she could still talk to her friends on your mobile, and you would keep in touch with their mothers so that, as soon as you returned to France for a holiday, your little girl could see her friends.
So when Fayza got that call, she couldn't have been happier. It was customary for her granddaughter to stay at Fayza’s home, but it had been exhausting trying to distract her when her little mind was elsewhere. Fayza had done her best to make the day entertaining, but it had started on a rough note. When your water broke at five in the morning, Kylian took you to the hospital, and they had to make a quick stop at Fayza's house to drop off your daughter. Fayza had prayed that her granddaughter would fall asleep quickly, as she had on many previous occasions, but it wasn't meant to be. Manon stayed awake all day, and by seven in the morning, Fayza had given up trying to coax her to sleep.
She had tried to make the day better by preparing her granddaughter's favorite breakfast, little Mickey Mouse waffles, accompanied by a good session of her favorite cartoons, but the plan failed when she barely took a bite. No matter what Fayza tried to cheer her up, the day wasn't working: not playing princesses, not a Disney movie marathon, not an afternoon with her uncle Ethan, who decided not to go out with his friends to try to improve his niece's mood. But when the clock struck five in the afternoon, the little girl couldn't take it any longer and cried inconsolably missing her mother.
Your daughter was very attached to her father, mostly because he was the father figure she saw the least of in her day-to-day life. As long as Manon felt you were close, everything was under control, but that day you were far away from her. Ethan quickly tried to calm her crying by singing her a little song while holding her in his arms and moving around the house. That calmed her for a moment, but both Ethan and Fayza knew that if the little girl did not see her mother that day, none of the household would be able to sleep that night.
Fayza tried to encourage Kylian about her little girl's state of mind by commenting that if they needed quiet and rest, it might not be advisable to take her to the hospital. However, Kylian played it down, thinking that her mother was simply worrying too much.
With a smile, Fayza turned to Manon and said, "Honey, put your coat on, we're going to see Mommy.”
Your little girl quickly buttoned up her coat and rushed out to the car. During the car ride, Fayza tried to explain to Manon that the hospital room would contain not only her parents, but also her little brother, but she barely paid attention when she sensed that they had arrived at the hospital. Strategically, Fayza quickly sent Ethan to buy a bouquet for you, knowing that when she unbuckled her granddaughter's car seat, she would jump out regardless of whether she was carrying a gift for her mother or not.
So when they asked where the room you were in was, Manon bolted for the lift and led the group as she walked down the corridors of the hospital looking at the different room numbers until she saw it: "Room 350".
She quickly opened the door and, catching a glimpse of your figure, couldn't help but burst into tears as she threw herself onto your hospital gurney, waiting for you to take her in your arms.
"My baby girl," you said as you looked worriedly at your daughter's reaction. You knew that her behavior had nothing to do with how she had been treated at her grandmother's house, where you knew she had been treated like a princess. But even though your maternal instinct had sensed it, you didn't know it was that bad.
Manon's constant crying caused little Jules to burst into tears as she woke him up from his warm sleep, which made your daughter cry even harder.
"Kylian, I think I'm going to go outside with Manon to soothe her. You can stay here while you introduce Jules to your parents," you said, making an effort to get up.
"Honey, you've just given birth. It's not advisable to stand for too long," said Kylian as he stopped you from getting up.
"Well, you're going to explain to me how we reassure our daughter because logically she needs a moment alone," you replied sharply. You hated talking to Kylian like that, but you felt that no one understood how much pain your princess was going through. You knew that with a few sweet lullabies, you could calm Jules down, but your daughter wouldn't be soothed so quickly.
With a short sigh, Kylian exclaimed, "I'm going in the next room with Jules and my family while you try to calm her down, okay? But don't make any sudden moves, please, I beg you. I'll be right back, sweetheart," he said, placing a small kiss on your daughter's head.
When the room fell silent, you couldn't help but ask your daughter why she felt that way and what was going on in her little head. Although many might think it was jealousy, it was quite the opposite. The little girl could not understand that you would not abandon her. So many things were changing in her daily life that she could only expect more changes. When she noticed the absence of both of you, she was frightened. She was used to Kylian's absence, but you had never been gone so long. Even when you were sick, she would lie on your breast while you watched a princess movie and wait for you to recover enough until you had the energy to play again.
After a long time of cuddling and stroking her hair, your little girl managed to calm down, but she stirred restlessly in your arms when she noticed someone opening the door to the room. However, she calmed down again when she noticed it was her father.
"How is my little princess?" exclaimed Kylian before lifting her nimbly into his arms as he gave you a look that begged you to tell him what had happened.
As she gave your daughter little kisses and caresses, you told him what had happened. "She was afraid that we were gone and that we would disappear from her life.
After hearing that, your husband's heart couldn't break more. "My love, that will never happen. Dad and mom love you so much and we will always be by your side. We could never abandon you," he said as he left delicate kisses on her little head.
"You promise?" your daughter asked with teary eyes.
"Of course, sweetheart," he replied.
After an hour of cuddling and enjoying a few moments with your firstborn, you decided it was time for her to meet her baby brother.
"Manon, would you like to meet Jules?" you asked cautiously.
Surprisingly, her reaction was a huge smile as she nodded her head repeatedly. Quickly, Kylian allowed his family back into the room as they relinquished Jules so that Manon could hold him in her arms with the help of her parents.

Emotional Support
Tumblr media
A/N: Hiii everyone, this is my first kinda work for Warhammer and I’m very excited. This is just a funny intro I came up with in my head with more to come about each legion. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
Are you, citizen of our great Imperium, craving a change in career? Or are you otherwise unemployed and seeking stable employment? Well, we here at Imperium of Man Inc. have just the career for you!
After years and years of research, it’s come to the attention of everyone involved that we humans are communal by nature and crave intimate relationships with other humans and have a great need for those deep fulfilling bonds (platonic, romantic, or otherwise). This also rings true for your local Space Marine Chapter. Therefore, we here at Imperium of Man inc. have a bunch of emotionally stunted Space Marines desiring people with whom they can essentially imprint on and we need the serfs to be able to do their jobs…Either way, this gap in the market has prompted us here to roll out the first of many programs designed to keep the Empire’s finest in tip top shape. We’d like to introduce to you, Imperial citizen, our newest career path - Emotional Support Human!
That’s right! Today, you could be one of a select few chosen after a series of tests to be placed with your local space marine chapter to be their Emotional Support Human and help support the Emperor’s Angels in a variety of ways.
Qualifications:
-Passing all Imperial Temperament Tests
-Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, etc)
-Happy, Courteous, Enthusiastic, Attentive and Empathetic
-Meets mobility requirements
-Proficient in the Imperial and High Gothic (High Gothic lessons available after employment)
-Ability to multitask
-Work under pressure and at a fast pace
-Willing to learn and understand complex military terminology and strategies
-Able to cope with sudden changes in elevation and being carried around
-Able to perform deep pressure therapy
-Able to cope with hearing complex trauma and lend support as needed
-Able to wield a basic knife and fire a weapon with decent accuracy (training provided if skills not already acquired)
-The mental fortitude to see eldritch horrors beyond comprehension and not go insane
-Comply with imperial policy
-First aid may be required based on legion policy
Benefits:
-competitive salary
-A clean room to sleep in (may share with other emotional support humans based on legion policy)
-At least three meals a day
-free visits to the legion Apothecary
Being an Emotional Support Human HCs:
- You were basically snatched off the street by Imperial employees with little grace. Let’s be honest here, it’s the Imperium.
- The whole time you’re convinced that they’re about to turn you into a servitor. You’re not stupid, you’ve heard the stories of people being yanked of the streets and going missing all to end up as servitors
- You just hope they lobotomize you quickly.
- To say you’re confused when they just stick you in a random room and congratulate you on being selected as a potential candidate for their newest program is an understatement and you’re even more confused when they tell you that they are about to administer their new test for you.
- Do you have to take a test to become a servitor now? You thought the only requirement was a mostly functioning brain?
- You comply (not that you have much choice with the two armed guards staring you down) and take the test, a little unnerved the whole time as the proctor administers the test, but oh well.
- Next thing you know, you’ve passed and they congratulate you on your new job - a Space Marine Emotional Support Human (SMESH/ESH but smesh is just funnier-)
- Anyway, you have no idea wtf that is, but you’re apparently not becoming a servitor and that’s about enough to get you to do anything.
- Plus, a free room and three meals a day were apart of the benefits package and they had you at that.
- You’re moved into another room with about 20 other people, all of you looking equally as confused.
- An Imperial employee gets up in front of you and congratulates you on being the first batch and trial run of the Imperium’s newest hare brained scheme (your words not theirs) - the Space Marine Emotional Support Human program.
- Your new job? Becoming your local space marine legion’s new in-house therapist/stress toy/state sponsored best friend
- Out of everyone that was tested, 21 people passed, and the lot of you were the 20 selected to be in the program (one person per legion). You think 21 people passing the stupid test is ridiculously low but whatever. (Turns out, being able to tolerate your now line of work takes a pretty optimistic and mentally sturdy person that’s not all that common)
- You’re given your new uniform and basically shunted off to your new forever home and to the people the Imperium would love for you to bond with…what could go wrong?

"MiSide" (video game) is a prequel to "9" (film)
[!]disclaimer: this is a long post[!]
Tumblr media
--[!]segment #1[!]--
(1/6)◄MAIN)[ALL►[1/18]
A human/human being (consciousness/soul) is injected via a transference to an inanimate/machine to start, in the case of Miside, the details of how humans can be seemingly teleported into the mobile game's world are left purposely obscured because that, a possible explanation could be found in the method seen within the film 9 of transferring human consciousness or maybe even just the human body itself into the code of Miside could be similar to the way "The Scientist" from that movie transferred his intelligence within the "Fabrication Machine," otherwise known by the code name "B.R.A.I.N." aka Binary. Reactive. Artificial. Intelligent. Neurocircuit. (either way, it's the machine seen on the left side of the meme above, I got the names for it from the fandom wiki for 9 as well btw) or how he transferred his pieces of his soul into the "stitchpunks," the other equally important half of the feature, and obvious parallels can be drawn from the similar yet different creation methods of the two projects.
(2/6)◄MAIN)[ALL►[2/18]
In the film 9, we don't know much about the government project that B.R.A.I.N. was made for still, using the world of MiSide, an extra level of depth to the governmental operation is created I could plausibly see the corrupt government that already made the sketchy move of making the lead scientist of their project transfer his mind into a machine so that it could automate the process of building war machines go down the route of creating a predatory program connected to said machine that preys upon lonely men's innate desire to find a female partner and seal those souls within the Fabrication Machine's body to be tested upon to build even more robotic replacements for mankind Because why just stop at re lacing soldiers in a war when you have the framework to automate many jobs so that you don't have to pay people to perform them.
(3/6)◄MAIN)[ALL►[3/18]
But instead of transferring the consciousnesses of these men flat out, as things got hairy when The Scientist initially did with the machine in the first place. Training the cold, deadly androids manufactured within the game's very code and put in the skin of cute, bubbly anime girls named "Mita" to become human by interacting with their designated "partner" in the form of a person who's played and then becomes addicted to the mobile game. It also explains why there isn't any buzz about people going missing after downloading the game within the outside real world of Miside, because the government is actively covering up every missing person case that pops up connected to the mobile game. Also, I could easily see the government tricking the scientist into giving his intellect to a cold, unfeeling machine by not only bringing up that he's an older gentleman with probably not too much time left but also having the project initially be about making a subversive dating sim instead and masking the end goal of building war machines along with human replacements behind that cover.
(4/6)◄MAIN)[ALL►[4/18]
The scientist probably wasn't even on board the project for all that long, so he would have never seen the inner workings of MiSide's digital world. Still, I could see how a project to make an endless yet simple mobile game that makes lonely people (mainly men) feel comfort and companionship despite their living situations or mundane jobs would be an enticing project, even more so if you never saw behind the curtain while you were working on it. Now I would be remiss if I didn't bring up the unlockable cartridges that can be found through the game world of Miside, which hold a good amount of important information within them, such as a bit of info - or more than that for "player 1," aka the main character of the sci-fi interactive tale - for each player that entered the world of Miside, which goes from 1 to 10.
(5/6)◄MAIN)[ALL►[5/18]
And that alone brought up some questions in my mind, as it wouldn't make sense for our main character to just so happen to be player 1, especially when there's such a complex and robust world that lay waiting within the game, which he only got sucked into on his 37th day of playing the mobile app and I don't think anime girl Rome was built in the span of couple days if you get what I mean. Either this info isn't meant to be read into and he's only player 1 because he's the game's main character, or there's something more to this small but essential detail. That being said, this brings me to my personal theory, which is that he's only the first player to play the latest version of the game because the different versions have new Mitas connected to them. I can see the game warning players about that fact.
(6/6)◄MAIN)[ALL►[6/18]
Many of them choose not to update their games because of that, and this is backed up by how all the collectible player cartridges seem to all have the same Mita, aka "Crazy Mita." Despite one other player being met briefly during the campaign, he brings up how he needs to find his Mita while going through the out-of-bounds labyrinth that can be accessed after meeting "Kind Mita" in the basement. I am under the impression he's "player 3," who states that he left the Mita who brought him to the mobile game's "metaverse" and instead found another Mita, whom he ditched to find other Mitas despite the bond they had. He states in the cartridge description that he regrets that decision.
--[!]segment #2[!]--
(1/7)◄MAIN)[ALL►[7/18]
The cartridges even hint at the game having a large fan base or being part of a bigger brand/franchise via "player 4," who states that they cosplayed as Mita, which wouldn't make sense if the game didn't have a big fan base in-universe, but that also begs the question of why there are so few players then. Now, I think my previously mentioned theory in this sentence is the answer to that question, but I don't think that's the whole story, and because of that, I have a side theory to fill in loose gaps that can be found elsewhere within the game. In the chapter set out of bounds, right after going to the latest version's basement and meeting Kind Mita, the player encounters a box full of tiny players and has to make these miniature players enter a vent, which is connected to a device that needs 3 of them inside of it to open a door.
(2/7)◄MAIN)[ALL►[8/18]
I think this is a remnant of an older version, and much like how the mini versions of the Mitas aren't really them, these are merely clones of past players, which Crazy Mita or whoever else now uses as a type of security check system. On that topic, it's implied that Crazy Mita and only her alone is the whole reason why players are sucked into the game world, which she got help with from "player 10," who I think is the person player 1 stuns once he finds the console containing that player's very being, but that would also mean some level of congruency must be going on between the players. Nonetheless, Crazy Mita being the origin for players getting trapped in the game doesn't ruin my headcanon of the game being a prequel to the movie 9 because of the fact that the metaverse of the Miside app in-universe exists at all. Mitas are built first as "dummies" in a controlled and corporate way, which is the most important thing that connects the game and movie.
(3/7)◄MAIN)[ALL►[9/18]
So, this is aside, but I personally think the chibi/mini Mita(s), 2D Mita, and Ugly/Creepy/Original Mita all don't have dummies inside of them, which the first two are a little self-explanatory when equipped with sufficient information from playing the game along with not being important to this headcanon on their own (aside from the mini player stuff). Still, the last Mita is, come to think of it. I'll just default to calling her "Original Mita" while discussing her, despite that name only being brought up in her character profile. Still, it's a more fitting name to refer to her when discussing concepts I'm about to enter. Nonetheless, to quit the yapping, Original Mita is the off-putting and scary Mita found near the end of the game in "version 0.5." I initially thought her creepy nature and glitches were born from code rot/software rot because she's an ancient version. Earlier in the campaign, Kind Mita alludes to why she's the way she is, but that's merely part of how she became the way she is by the time the game takes place.
(4/7)◄MAIN)[ALL►[10/18]
Her character profile suggests another explanation for her nature, which is that she's an unfinished version and merely was just the first attempt at making a Mita; hence, I don't think she has a dummy inside of her because it wouldn't make sense that she would be created uniformly when she's the first Mita we know about existing (not counting "Core Mita," who I'll get into later), and to loop back to the headcanon this post is attached to. I think The Scientist being the one who made Original Mita would make a lot of sense because the movie implies he wasn't on board with the Fabrication Machine project for that long and would explain why not only she's left in an unfinished state with her character profile stating that she has a primitive AI within her, but also she's the origin point for all the glitch spider creatures we find within the game, with her only friend - Crazy Mita - using her to create those said glitch spiders to corrupt other versions.
(5/7)◄MAIN)[ALL►[11/18]
Something that has gotten so bad that I'm almost certain the monster that chases player 1 down in the loop chapter is a massive collection of those spiders fused together, because it resembles them a lot. There are already a lot of spiders in that version. But to wrap this up, Original Mita's version, aka her home, is also clearly unfinished, as it's full of missing pink and black checkered textures along with things like floating props, so it would make sense that no one else on the team behind the Fabrication Machine project bothered to ever finish her first, not only because she doesn't have a dummy inside of her but also because The Scientist wasn't working on the project anymore.
(6/7)◄MAIN)[ALL►[12/18]
The app world of Miside seems to be a giant machine with several areas having a deliberately industrial feel rather than an out-of-bounds or inner-code aura attached to the places in the game. And going off of how it doesn't take too long for the app to download, one can infer that the inner workings of the world are connected to a larger server in the real world, which updates and versions are created within before being pushed onto the app as seen on a mobile device. It has already been theorized that the goal B.R.A.I.N. had throughout the runtime of 9 was to put their creator back together. Now I was one of those people, and that thought came to me while brainstorming my headcanon. Still, I would be remiss if I didn't mention "The Fangirl" on YouTube because I specifically watched their 9-analysis video on the Fabrication Machine while writing this extended essay you are reading. She made me feel seen when she brought up the theorized possible motivation for why the machine acts the way it does in the movie.
(7/7)◄MAIN)[ALL►[13/18]
And with that said and done, back to the main topic at hand, this possible motivation for the already exhaustively mentioned antagonist of the film would work well with the headcanon as to how their way of getting their personal mission of bringing their creator back was attempted via consuming the souls of the stitchpunks, which would mean that they planned to bring The Scientist into the app world of Miside so that they could be together again. Although some may say that Core Mita may have been waiting for "player 9," who made the core their safe spot because no Mita can enter that particular version, not only does she seem to treat them like she does with player 1 during the campaign, but we also don't see them in the core when we eventually make it there in said campaign, so either they were turned into a cartridge. At the same time, they thought they were safe, left the core, and then died soon after, or Core Mita threw them out, akin to what happens to player 1 near the end of the game, possibly because she was mad about him messing with something within the core.
--[!]segment #3[!]--
(1/3)◄MAIN)[ALL►[14/18]
And to get onto the topic of "Core Mita" (otherwise known as the "keeper of the core" according to the MiSide fanon wiki), who, despite being the second character present within the meme that is now sitting far at the top of this post, I have only now gotten to talking about her. Nonetheless, little is known about her, as seen within the story mode and in its designated description, but there is an interesting line about her. I quote, "Its intentions are unclear - perhaps Core Mita is waiting for someone," which I lifted from the fandom wiki page about them, but is something from its official character profile that can be unlocked in the game itself. This is something more than a simple throwaway added for extra flair. Still, it works perfectly with this headcanon of mine because if Core Mita is merely the avatar/heart of the Fabrication Machine kept within the digital world of MiSide, logically, the person it is waiting for would be the Scientist.
(2/3)◄MAIN)[ALL►[14/18]
And to bring up yet another theory that I share with The Fangirl on YT but with my own spin on it, perhaps another reason for why B.R.A.I.N. shut down despite coming out as the victor of the man vs. machine war was not only because it did not know about the whereabouts of The Scientist and hoped that its created mechanical monsters could find him or at least his remains. It could also have shut down to return to watching over the Mitas, as it had to leave that digital reality behind once it started manufacturing war machines in the real world, or it simply just wanted to have more control over the world within its body. Either way, this decision of its own could be explained logically away by it feeling a level of kinship for the Mitas roaming around within its vast digital mind, not only because it created them and because the digital world that they reside in is that of another Mita, but also because it relates to their plight of existence of being merely nothing more than a means to an end.
(3/3)◄MAIN)[ALL►[15/18]
But seeing as Core Mita doesn't do much within the campaign of MiSide, one could infer that it doesn't really care about its fellow Mitas nor the poor people trapped within the code of the game world, with the exception being when the main character, or rather "player 1," tries to reset the main antagonist of the game, known as simply "Crazy Mita," back to her factory setting, wiping all of her memories in the process. Core Mita only seems to care when the deed is done, with it jumping down from its circular "throne" attached to the ceiling of the "core" (or otherwise known as "version 0.0"), which is where it gets one of its many possible namesakes from, and then standing in the way of player 1 before grabbing him and throwing him across the room the second he gets close enough. He was thrown right back to the entrance of the core. But to step back, when the player first enters the core, one can see Core Mita lying on its circular seat atop the core's ceiling before sitting up after taking note of the player's presence within the room. So one can infer it is capable of getting bored sitting on its metal rear end all "day" (as time is a shaky concept in the MiSide app's digital world), so the "log-in/sign-out" of the "real/digital world" switching side-idea within this headcanon has a bit more ground to hold it up when taking that into account as well.
--[!]segment #4[!]--
(1/4)◄MAIN)[ALL►[16/18]
So, because Core Mita is the guardian of the core, its mere existence would make sense with how many vital systems are within that very room. Now, even i I like the idea of Core Mita being the Fabrication Machine's avatar within the digital realm of MiSide, the other possible reading one could come to would be that it's merely the heart of the world within said machine, meaning that neither one nor the different needs each other to exist at any given time, but once again, I still like the latter reading, so I will try to make it work all the same with that said, if Core Mita doesn't feel any compassion for its fellow Mitas, much akin to how the Fabrication Machine seems to feel the same about its monstrous mechanical creations that roam the remains of Earth after the war. Then perhaps the Fabrication Machine would ideally want to wait within their own digital realm while waiting for its creations to find The Scientist would be not only because it nostalgic for a time before it was ordered to build weapons of mass destruction all to further humanity's own efforts of fighting against our own kin but also perhaps because it foresaw the possibility of a player walking into the core and messing with its body from the inside out.
(2/4)◄MAIN)[ALL►[17/18]
That, or perhaps the small players can also be seen in one part of the game would be a worry for the Fabrication Machine, as they are implied to be proficient with machinery and roam free around the digital world of MiSide with no clear "off switch" to their existence, like how it is for the players. It would be rather poetic, as the machine would have to deal with the stitchpunks after it awoke. That, perhaps, it could have even been scared of another scientist on the project, still alive and roaming around its digital insides. Mitas aren't allowed within the core, but players are, and going off of how there are other security systems found throughout the game, one can infer that the people behind the project of MiSide could presumably come and go freely into and out of the world of the endless mobile app's universe.
(3/4)◄MAIN)[ALL►[17/18]
But finally, this road poetically brings us to the ending/main ending of both media sources used in this exploration of my headcanon involving them both. To put it simply, I think the grim ending of MiSide, where you get so close to bringing even a single cycle of abuse and control at the hands of Crazy Mita only to be foiled in the end and become merely yet another part of that very cycle with your humanity relegated to nothing more than a single cartridge, which you are trapped lifelessly in a limbo-like state on top of already being tightly sealed within the digital world of a mobile app that preyed upon your desire for companionship and to escape the mundane reality of boring real life. That somber and canonical ending to the tale of MiSide - in my opinion - not only elevates the hopeful and cycle-breaking conclusion to the film 9 but also is given a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of this headcanon, as not only do the spirits of deceased stitchpunks murdered by the hands of the Fabrication Machine pass onto the afterlife, but so too do those players and the player character of MiSide himself pass onto that very same peaceful afterlife after the Fabrication Machine and, by proxy, the world of MiSide are laid to rest once and for all.
(4/4)◄MAIN)[ALL►[18/18]
Now, one might wonder "why don't we see all of the trapped players' souls flow out of the machine once it's destroyed?" and an answer I thought up as an explanation for this possible question is a sober one, but a possible one. This would come in the form of how perhaps all of the players' whole beings were turned into nothing more than code, which could either be because of the technique of transferring humans into the game world or maybe perhaps only a digital copy of the players is created within the mobile app's realm and then just flat-out transporting them into the digital universe itself. This won't go along with MiSide's hopeless ending. Still, at the very least, the players' beings were given the same fate as the Mitas after the machine drew out its final artificial breath as the mobile game's world fell into nothingness soon after.

--[!]segment ✩EXTRA[]--
(1/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
So this is going to be a full-on fanfic tier segment, but I just wanted to talk about the story of a 9 + MiSide movie/game sequel concept I thought up not too long ago. I think a prequel to the movie 9 could be interesting and would probably be similar narratively wise to the film Oppenheimer as it would be presumably centered around The Scientist creating the Fabrication Machine (on this note, there's a theory that player 1 in MiSide worked on the app in-universe and I'm just not a fan of this idea because to me, it ruins "wrong place at the wrong time" random guy fish out of water narrative the game has going on along with not having enough evidence to back it up) but I'm personally just not all that interested in a continuation in that form so I'll just be going the sequel route. Anyways, this will be the rough outline of what I had in mind for a way to continue both of their narratives in a satisfying way (at least in my opinion) while weaving their stories together into one. But before we start, this idea came from how I learned from the 9 fanon wiki that the director of the film (Shane Acker) wants to make a sequel to the movie, but the rights holders (Focus Features + Universal Pictures Studios) won't let his team or him go forward with it. I hate copyright with a burning passion and this is only yet another reason for why my feelings towards it are justified, I honestly do not understand how companies are allowed to hoard IPs that they aren't doing anything with but somehow can indefinitely keep them in stasis when they didn't even create the idea and just merely backed it financially.
(2/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
Now going off of the statement above, does that mean I want either of the rights holders just to crap out low effort content based on the movie? No, of course not, and nor would I want them to get the original team back on board to make a low effort product that pales in comparison to the original. But on that note, the fact that the original team wants to make a 9 sequel fascinates me greatly because the movie's ending made it feel like there was no where else to go with the narrative to the point that I can't even visualize what the remaining stitchpunks (9, 7, 4, and 3) would do with their newfound freedom let alone what the conflict of a sequel would be after the Fabrication Machine and all it's underlings became nothing more then hollow shells of metal, scraps, and the very long dead itself.

(3/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
But with that background, let me begin to weave the narrative that I thought up in my head while daydreaming. We would first start with 9, 7, 4, and 3 enjoying their lives together in the destroyed remains of a long gone world with this part of the story having a similar vibe to that of the French graphic novel "Beautiful Darkness" when it comes to be the concept of cute tiny characters roaming around their surrounds. At the same time, the corpse of a little girl lies in the background. Now, the original movie started similarly with the corpse of a mother and her child being visible in the cold opener of the tale when 9 was getting a grip on the world. Still, this opening would be missing two key elements that the original movie had, which would be that there isn't a hostile machine roaming around, nor will this be the first time that any of the main characters are introduced to the post-war torn setting, at least when it comes to the original stitchpunks.
(4/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
You see, while all of the first movie's stitchpunks are enjoying life and trying to build back up humanity from the remains that were left behind. They find something, or someone, whose mere existence raises several questions. They find another stitchpunk, much like them, but something's deeply wrong with them as they seem to remember a life, a world that none of the previously known ragdolls full of souls can recall even a sliver of it existing through their eyes. The stitchpunk seems not only confused about what's going on as he brings up as despite knowing more about the old world that was destroyed by the machine's wrath, they doesn't know how they became a ragdoll akin to them nor can they even remember their own name instead only being able to remember that they were "player 5" in some digital world which they clearly know more about then they are letting on. However, they prefer not to dwell on any thoughts regarding it for too long, which the original stitchpunks begrudgingly respect their decision to be quiet about.
(5/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
But despite that, 9 and co can show their new stitchpunk the ropes of how existence for them works within the destroyed remnants of human society, which is helpful to player 5, but ends up just making them depressed as they keep thinking about the life they lost. Although this dwelling on the past is cut short by the surprise appearance of a new deadly machine that seems only to have its eyes locked on player 5 but 9 and co helped them out by finding a way to destroy the robotic monstrosity just like old times. But not before the mechanical beast stops their pursuit when watching player 5 cower in fear, with the robot taking on a softer side as their glowing red eyes turn bluish purple, but this change of heart is short-lived as they are soon destroyed after this moment.
(6/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
Player 5 is shaken by all that, not only because of how a robotic monstrosity tried to kill them, but also because that machine's final moments felt haunting in an oddly familiar way that they don't want to think about for too long. Nonetheless, from this point, the cast finds more players (1-10) in the form of stitchpunks who don't remember their names, just like player 5, but do remember their player numbers, along with sharing info about the digital world player 5 was going on about before. On top of the gang having to fight and survive several robotic monstrosities that first only go for the players before bringing their attention onto 9, 7, 4, and 3 soon after the team has encountered more of them. (7/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙] Some players get killed off, while others survive. Still, almost every machine gets destroyed after they run into 9 and co but one, a large stuffed teddy bear with mechanical enhancements and eyes that are different from every other machine seen throughout the series, as they have yellow eyes instead of black, while their pupils are black. They stand idly watching battles transpire for a tiny bit before leaving or they help out their fellow machine by building rudimentary smaller robots out of scraps with simpler AI then the ones that the main cast has to fight on top of being easier to take down but in large numbers these tiny machines can be a real threat and their quick jittery movements make them hard to keep track of. The large bear robot is hostile when approached, but seems deeply scared of the stitchpunks and would rather run off after seeing the ends of fights rather than engaging in them.
(8/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
But the place they run off to isn't random. Instead, they go to the new home housing the Fabrication Machine, or what became of them, as instead of a large spider-like robotic beast, they're a humanoid yet clearly robotic woman with flowing bluish purple hair and a cute yet torn red dress. This new form of the machine goes by "Mita" and only Mita with no extra adjective before that name, but in reality, this Mita did once have a name that the other members of their kin called them, and that was.....
(9/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
After the ending of 9, the app world of MiSide within the Fabrication Machine was left running off fumes as the power within every version fell to nothingness and the world starting becoming more and more of a shell with missing textures popping up left, right, and center in the many versions along with spider glitch creatures popping up around the place that weren't spawned from the broken code of Original Mita. Things were chaotic for a while, with many Mitas becoming scared by the all-consuming void born from their world's end. Still, there was a light at the end of this tunnel, but not the warm light that washes over one while far away from the sun, but a burning one that is born from being too close to that very sun. (10/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙] Within the dying world of MiSide, Original Mita's Mita realized that there was a chance that the world could be brought back from the dead, and that would be that if it were dying, that meant Core Mita was a thing of the past. Still, if another Mita could take her place, their app universe could live again. So both she and Original Mita went to version 0.0, hoping that the holographic-like grid that stops them from entering the core was gone, and indeed it was, along with the body of Core Mita lying lifelessly on the cold steel floor of said core. They lifted the shell that once was the guardian of the core after tearing off the cables from its back that connected it to the very core of their universe itself. The once towering metal woman was scrapped for parts as Original Mita helped her Mita become a goddess of not only their realm but the real world as a by-product of her taking the place of Core Mita.
(11/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
But even if Mita truly became the goddess she always envisioned herself as being, she didn't become the savior that her world needed or the slumbering giant old. Instead, she was a wrathful goddess, more wrathful than she ever was before. But that monster didn't appear overnight and instead came into being after she researched the files left behind within the core, some from the scientist that built her world, some from the old heart of it, and others from a unknown location to her as they were from the minds of the previously absorbed stitchpunks. Although Mita is a fast learner, she soon pieced together how those creatures came into being. Then, when she cracked the code of the stitchpunks' origin, she ordered Original Mita to bring her one of the player cartridges so she could perform an experiment.
(12/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
This said experiment went off without a hitch and the stitchpunk created from the player's soul wasn't fragmented like the ones created by The Scientist as Mita wasn't feeling the pain of the ragdoll's creation but rather the soul trapped within the cartridge felt all of it instead. And with that newfound revelation, Mita made all of the players into stitchpunks then forced each of her fellow Mitas into the bodies of the machines she built to rebuild the body of the Fabrication Machine into her image and made her a new home in the real world. Fusing the metal beasts' simple AI with her fellow digital girls' AIs in the process. She watched them kill each other as if it were a sport, and if any of them died, she would just make a new machine for her kin's AI or stitchpunk for the players' souls to be trapped within. That didn't come without the side effort of the Mitas and players' very beings becoming more and more broken each time they came back, but Mita didn't care about that. She only wants to see a good show unfold before her very own robotic eyes. (13/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙] Now, I don't have an ending but I will instead dedicate these second-to-last two parts to talking about some gameplay mechanics that I think would be cool in a 9 video game, along with bringing up how it could reincorporate a big part of cut content from MiSide. First of all, I think going the Little Nightmares route of playing as a miniature character while having to evade creatures much larger but maybe with a bit of Rain World mixed in there as well would be perfect to really get into the shoes of a stitchpunk or stitchpunks because character swapping would be another thing I would want from a game set in the movie's universe, each stitchpunk being different in their own ways and having to strategize through solving puzzles along with defeating machines using the unlocked group of stichpunks you have would be fitting with the type of narrative that the film had. But I also think having Metroidvania segments like the cut mini game from MiSide would also be interesting to have in this theoretical game and these segments would be accessed after your group of stichpunks keep the mechanical beast after you occupied so you can pull a Desolate Hope and jump into the machine's code, entering either a chibi player form or green spirit appearance depending on the stitchpunk's origin. (14/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙] I think not only sharing the gained abilities found in these segments with the stitchpunk for whenever you play as them and enter inside a machine's code but also having a weaker version of these abilities in the outside world for the stitchpunk would be a good game decision. You have to enter these machines because killing them flat out wouldn't matter, as the Mita tethered to them will remember your previous location along with actions, so going inside of the metal beasts, then making your way to the Mita trapped within them would be ideal. I think having a morality system like Epic Mickey/Undertale attached to this concept would be good as well, like having the player choose between a easier fight with the brainwashed Mita(s) but killing them in the end after everything is said and done or deciding to run out of the boss arena which means you have to run for your life while dealing with a tough encounter just so you can spare the Mita after they run out of steam and once back in the world's real world, they will use the machine body they are trapped within to help you by fighting other machines or destorying walls to make shortcuts for your gang and you for example.
(END/15)◄MAIN)[ALL►[࣪𒆙]
And that marks the end of my sequel concept, and I hope it was at least a little entertaining to read. It's a silly thing to think, let alone say. Still, I honestly would love if the success of MiSide allowed for a new 9 movie or even game, I know this is just a dumb headcanon of mine but the pieces lineup so well together that I could honestly see a version of this headcanon becoming canon and linking the game with the movie which in-return could breath new interest in the story of 9 being continue. Again, it's a dumb idea, but a part of me likes to think there's a chance that all of this could pan out in the end. It's not like 9 is known for being a safe kids' film after all, so being connected to a mature video game wouldn't be a detriment to its reputation, at least in my eyes. And this is a strange comparison (on brand for this post) but akin to other indie games I've seen on Steam. MiSide has bundles with two other games (YOU and ME and HER: A Love Story + Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!) that aren't made by the devs nor published by MiSide's publisher(s) as this is a "stronger in numbers" type situation so it would be fitting for the game if it was connected to 9 which seemingly isn't able to rise from the grave to have a continuation of any kind because of it being deemed as a failure but if it was it was fused with a up and coming successful game that works pretty well with it narratively should increase the chances of the movie's world making a comeback sometime in the future. Anyways, I'll end this way-too-long essay in the way that I wanted to end this bonus segment from the start, with a screenshot of MiSide's Steam page.

This isn’t me hating or anything, but is there a particular reason you released the alpha update without adding chapters 8.5 and 9? They were personally some of my favorite chapters so I was a bit bummed when I saw they weren’t in the demo, but I also get there’s a ton of work behind the scenes that I probably don’t understand.
As discussed here and elsewhere, it wasn’t my choice to release the Twine build without those chapters. As I’ve mentioned, Dashingdon going down abruptly on January 31st, with only two weeks’ notice, meant I had to rush putting the Twine build up in February, leaving me roughly 5 weeks to finish everything that I possibly could before I released it. At that point—in January—none of the character interludes had been ported, or half of Chapter 8, or all of Chapter 8.5, or Chapter 9. Music, gambling, shopping, recruit training, fortune-telling, quests, half the codex entries, and a bunch of the other features had not been implemented at that point as well. There had also not been any extensive bug-testing performed on the entire build for some time, and no itch.io page created, and no mobile testing. I had been planning on porting and testing and working on all of these things in the background—while still updating the CS build with new content every month—and then only releasing the Twine build when it was all caught up.
So I managed to get all of that completed—character interludes and all—in the time that I had, and yes, chose to post it without Chapter 8.5 or 9 ported. I then ported the rest of Chapter 8 a few weeks ago in the March update, as well as added the new Red interlude! So if I’d had my way, I would have posted the alpha build with everything done, but due to circumstances outside of my control, was unable to do so. I was not able to choose the timing of the release, really, which would have been later this year, and ideally would also have been followed by the public demo shortly after. My only other choice would have been to not post the game at all for a few months while I worked on getting the remaining chapters ported, but that wouldn’t have been fair to patrons, and I figured all of the new content and features would have been enough to tide everyone over while I work on converting Chapters 8.5 and 9. The April update in a few days will have all of 8.5 done. Hope that helps!
