There should be more drama with Moon about her dad being Morrowseer actually. I also think she should look a little like him.
Like. I want the DoD to look at her and for a moment it feels like they're looking at a fucking ghost before they recognize the shade of her scales and the kindness in her eyes. I want Glory to have had a miniature heart attack when Secretkeeper first revealed her, for baby Moon to have simply tilted her head cutely and wondered who the big, burly NightWing that flashed in the queen's mind for a moment is.
Why did they make Morrowseer her dad if they weren't going to DO ANYTHING with it???
Sometimes I think about the interactions Morrowseer and Stonemover had
My headcanon is that Morrowseer was the one who came up with the tunnel idea and was sort of like Stonemover’s “project overseer” (haha get it morrowSEER)
I get a bit upset when I think about how Morrowseer died in the GN. When reading the books, it goes a lil' something like this.
And so he was facing the cave entrance, and he saw the fireball come barreling at them, filling the tunnel wall to wall with bright orange flames. Morrowseer’s dark figure was silhouetted against the fire for a brief, horribly bright moment, and then suddenly the huge NightWing was gone, swallowed by the volcanic explosion.
Now, I dunno about you, but reading this I get the impression that he was like. staring down Starflight and accepting his death. Letting himself be swallowed by the volcano. His job was done. He knew that the dragons that were the biggest thorn in his side for years were now going to die. He wanted to look them in the eyes before the lava takes them all.
It's a dramatic death and one that I think is pretty good for Morrowseer. He's a pretty good villain all things considered, one of the best ones in the series.
Then you read the GN and see this
It's almost comedic in how it's presented, with Morrowseer just running away with a terrified expression. It's a lot less cinematic. A downgrade if you ask me. I'd prefer the tidal wave of lava swallowing him up as he glares at the DoD with smug satisfaction, y'know?
Is the IceWing struck with guilt when she kills, is she up in the middle of the night? Or does she end my sister without a care or whisper and sleep knowing she has done them right?
When the false seer takes dragons to save his kingdom do you think that he’s going insane? Or did he learn to be colder when he got older and now he forgoes the pain?
When a queen comes through the night and makes dragons fight is she scared that she’s doing something wrong? Or does she keep us in check so we must respect her and now no one dares to piss her off?
Does a dragon use all he has to kill defenseless enemies because he is vile? Or does he throw away his remorse and save more lives with guile?
WOOO I FINALLY DID IT! No joke this took me about 3 weeks to complete! (Mainly because of procrastination). This idea isn’t mine, as @mythos321 came up with it, I just wanted to draw it because EPIC + WOF is cool. :] Anyways you might have to click on the photos for better quality :)
you know what i dont even care i love morrowseer. been a closeted morrowseer fan since 2017 like how can you not love a straight-up evil guy. its even funnier when you realizing he was just this old dude who ended up getting stuck being responsible for some pathetic seawing and his little peace group and also these 5 prophecy kids
i've always struggled with drawing nightwings for some reason, so if these look wonky i'm sorry 😭 (they're literally like. my 3rd favorite pyrrhian tribe but i can't draw them for the life of me)
i was gonna do only arc 1 characters but i kinda gave up on that so
i meant to make a version of starflight with the burn scars but i forgor 😭😭
Morrowseer being red-ish just makes sense to me, Stonemover is described as being similar to the desert night sky or something so he's more yellow/brown toned
