K-dramas to brighten your day:

Shopping King Louie (romcom): Ridiculously fun and lighthearted romp following a spoiled and useless chaebol with amnesia who is being taken care of by a country bumpkin in the city. Very low stakes, super adorable couple, and as many tropes as you can fit in your bag, this one is one of my favorites to recommend.

Extraordinary You/ A Day Found By Chance (fantasy/romance): This magical k-drama has my heart. It plays with all of the predictable tropes and then just goes crazy! While not perfect towards the end, I give this show bonus points for being super creative AND inspiring me to read a LOT of fan fic. I think about this drama more than any other.

Soundtrack #1: (romance) A short drama about two friends. One of them is helping the other write a love song (while also being in love with her). It’s cute!

Hit The Spot: rom/com-ish: Just a heads up this is legit rated-r and has graphic sex scenes. I don't usually go for that (and actually the scenes are pretty funny to me personally - the first episode starts that way but I swear you can just skip those scenes) but the actual drama was soooo good (and maybe sponsored by a sex toy company?) Hani delivers (i love her so much) and the sex positive messaging and just two ladies getting what they need?? So funny and so fun!! But take care if this isn't for you.

Run On: (rom com) This show follows four people in their daily lives: An athletic, a translator, a CEO and an artist. Soft soft couples!! Y'all know I love this slice of life rom com for so many reasons, but you might not know that Kang Tae Oh’s character (the painter) is like one of my dream boys. BLORBO FROM MY SHOWS.

Have a Nice Dessert (another cute web drama): If you’re looking for low angst and a super soft boy, this is your drama!! It’s a web drama (youtube) about a girl who loves photographing desserts and the boy who likes her.  Like all web dramas, it’s short, and there’s really no time for angst and breakups :)

The Best Hit / Hit The Top (romcom): A famous 90′s boyband dude travels into the future and meets up with his family and friends in this really cute drama featuring Yoon Shi Yoon. I LOVE Yoon Shi Yoon in pretty much everything but this role was made for him - he is hilarious. It’s a slice of life but features the k-pop music industry so the setting is unique.

Into The Ring (workplace/romcom): The perfect slice-of-life rom com! Goo Se Ra has trouble holding down a job due to her passionate personality so after she loses her latest job working for the ML, she decides to run for a small government office position because it pays a salary. Literally she does it for the money which is just *chef’s kiss.* The show is about her dealing with local politics and it’s SO FUNNY and smart and the OTP is the best! 

Eulachacha Waikiki / Laughter In Waikiki: (ridiculous comedy) I hope you’re ready for a crazy amount of unlikely situations and nutty hijinks because this show is probably one the most silly ones I’ve ever watched. It follows a group of friends who own a hostel so it’s a slice of life drama. At certain points I was like “this is TOO silly” but I’m glad I stuck with it cause it was so hilarious. Plus, the baby is a star!

Light On Me (web drama bl): I absolutely adored this simple and sweet drama! One of my favorite korean BLs EVER! Because it’s longer than the average Korean BL, it actually has: *cues triumphant music* Character development!

Fight for My Way (romcom) I love this drama! The couple is one of my OTPs and it’s really funny and a mostly lighthearted story of a group of friends. It’s down to earth and adorable - I’ve never had anyone complain about this one!

Wok of Love: (romcom) Despite the fact that the show was shortened by two episodes because of sports, this drama is a funny and quirky show worth watching. Many people dropped it because it was SO crazy for the first couple of episodes (it has a talking horse people!), but it does settle into a really sweet and fun story about a chef, a gangster and a rich girl and her family. If you love food, this show is for YOU!

Splash Splash Love: (short drama) Featuring a girl struggling with her studies and magically ends up in an ancient land working for a king! It’s awesome!

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo: Super cute and fluffy drama featuring a female weightlifter lacking confidence, and a popular and good looking swimmer. Romance & great friendships!

Top Management: Adorable mini drama about a girl who can see the future and becomes the rookie manager for a kpop band. Fun and easy (plus they seem to be setting it up for another season…)

***J-drama rec*** Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!: (romance, fluff, represenation!)  If you’re used to k-dramas were everything could go wrong at any time, you’re in for a real treat! Cherry Magic is my absolute favorite drama of last year and this year combined (even with a silly name like it has!) - It’s the ONLY show I’ve ever given a 10/10 rating to. An introverted guy finds out a seemingly popular and confident co-worker has a crush on him. This drama is so so soft, so so sweet and it has not one but TWO ace characters and a lot of gay panic! I’ve rewatched it recently and smiled the ENTIRE time. Plus there’s a valentines day special that’s really fun.

I rewatched everything before s4, and I honestly forgot how awful t/s relationship was. Directly after s3, most people were in agreement that Tom was in the right for the betrayal, now everyone is revisionist about it. How he never lover her, and only ever used her. How he mistreated her for the past 3 seasons, while she was only ever thinking about him in her own way. And how HE is exactly like Logan(???). I love Tom, and he can be terrible, but I don't think he ever was towards her prior to the betrayal, he was to other people though. He wouldn't have even gone through with betraying her, if she showed she thought about him at all in her plans with her brothers. The only thing I think he was very much in the wrong for, was him trying to leverage a baby out of her before being send to prison. I hate the framing of their relationship this season, because she looks devastated and he looks careless and now he's the bad guy, even though it was the other way around for 3 whole seasons and nobody cared or made cucking jokes about it. I really feel for Shiv cause so much is going to shit rn, but that doesn't mean she gets a free pass. Same thing with how she grew up. I also think it's so weird how people swear up and down that they both never loved each other, even if she had a weird way of showing it. I think both did at one point. We're watching Succession the nuance show, and everyone wants to take the nuance out of it to baby the sibs

Fucking fantastically stated. I fr don't know what's going on with the Succ fandom this season cos people this time round seem to have zero nuance when viewing the show and have forgotten the past seasons. My guess is a whole lot of twitter folk came over to Tumblr (since they're brain-dead and loud).

I've rewatched the show, like, more then five times at this point, at the least (tbh I've lost track), so I'd say I have a pretty good understanding of it. And the way all the Sh*v stans want to come in and rewrite T/S (multiple times in one season too lol. One second he's Logan 2.0, the next he's Sh*v's equal in marriage and they're THE otp of Succession and the perfect match, the next he's back to being an abusive piece of shit... It's funny, it's almost like their perception of him changes completely due to them being incapable of faulting Sh*v and they have to change his character to ensure she's in the right at all times), they wanna rewrite Tom's character (oh suddenly ALL he ever was, was a money grabbing manipulative asshole that never cared about anyone and wanted to use Shiv. Yep, nothing more to his character ever /sarcasm), and they wanna rewrite Greg (wow, another character that suddenly was only ever a piece of shit, and an annoying one at that... Despite the fact that Greg has been a fan favourite throughout the whole show alongside Tom... Funny that...), it's just funny to me because they're so obviously reinterpreting EVERYTHING about the show to fit this narrative they have that Sh*v is a great person who has only ever been the victim her whole life, who has only ever been devoted and loving to Tom and he stabbed her in the back (which literally isn't true helppp)! And the hatred of Greg and Tomgreg suddenly rising out of nowhere this season was also so obvious as this immature hatred for another character getting in the way of their ship.

I agree with what you said about Tom and the baby. I think he genuinely would have loved having a kid with her once, but yeah, the timing of wanting one so badly before he was going off to prison? It was definitely to secure a place in her life, cos he even says in 4.7 that she wouldn't have his baby cos she never thought she'd be married to him for more than four years, which shows he's always feared her leaving him, and so a baby would have been a way to keep her committed to the relationship. And I hate that. Women being reduced to Baby Machine is fucking revolting and it's one of the things that makes me the most angry in life. So I do hate Tom for that and honestly, Jesse Armstrong too for making Sh*v pregnant when we all know she didn't want that, and so her pregnancy is so out of character (this is something I've seen in multiple shows. Career driven or otherwise independent woman who states throughout the whole show she doesn't want to get pregnant, and then last minute she gets pregnant. What??? ENOUGH). BUT ALSO LIKE, people forget Tom felt the ONLY way to secure some sort of loyalty or devotion from Sh*v was through a baby. He didn't feel like he had any options cos Sh*v was SO indifferent to him going to prison. She didn't gaf and moreso other characters remarked she even seemed happy about it. I'm not saying he was right in trying to pressure her into pregnancy, he fucking wasn't, but yeah, maybe people should think about how Tom was being slowly marched to prison and Sh*v in his perspective was doing NOTHING to help him or at the bare minimum even comfort him (cos that's what you do as a partner. It's funny people tryna heckle Tom after that 4.8 Tomsh*v interaction and his lack of sympathy considering how little she gaf about him going to prison and actually told him off for coming to her for comfort). Like,,, what does it say about the state of their relationship that that's where he was at.

And yeah dude, the whole thing about framing and a free pass. Look, in a way yes, but I guess when it was edited they didn't think that fans were going to have such strong amnesia to the Tomsh*v relationship throughout the whole show? Cos idk how else to defend it.

Cos, you're right, she doesn't get a free pass, and that finally came through in Tom's behaviour in 4.8. Tom who has had endless forgiveness and love for her throughout the whole show and was the kicked dog as a result, suddenly is just devoid to her now. I think it all caught up finally. This is the result. This is the sum total. Sh*v cares rn because she is fucked up rn about Logan's death. Tom has been her support for years now and she trusts him to be the only one close to her when she's in a bad place. But now he doesn't even want to be (because when she's not in a bad place she doesn't care about him) and she hasn't really had her brothers as support (her own choice because of her guilt and distrust for them) since she started conspiring behind their backs, so who does she have for support?

I think it's all crashing down around her (her father - her god, the king - is dead and she's not coping with the grief at all, she has no alliance with her siblings to make something with them, she has no position at Waystar and ATN, she has no familial support cos her family is also her work, and now she has no husband who was also her work).

She has NO support network. And THIS is the tragedy: she put herself here. Not because she's so great and everyone screwed over poor Sh*vvy. No, the fucking heartaching tragedy is that she isolated herself, because as a result of her upbringing, she was taught to trust no one, not even her siblings. She was taught that personal life was nothing compared to business life, so she put all her eggs into that basket, and now all those eggs are broken and she has no support network to go to now that she's so fucked up. So that's the tragedy for Shiv to me. She's reaping what she's sowed. She didn't question Logan's values and instead adopted them and this is where they've gotten them. It's rough cos I've been in the same place in life where I've isolated myself and have ended up with no support network outside of my family, so when that too went fuckup, there was no one, and it feels like the world is crushing you. So it's the same with Shiv. She has no one now, and that's fucking sad, but there's no free pass here, cos this is the bed she made and now she's gotta lay in it. The only thing she can do is realise that when you isolate yourself like this and shame your own emotions, this is where you end up. Alone and choking on everything you pushed down without understanding of how to cope and no help from anyone. But who knows if she will, cos she'd have to admit she's been wrong about living this whole time, and that's a little ego death in itself.

And yes,,,, lastly I'm so fucking bored of people babying the sibs. Jfc they're all ADULTS. ADULTS.

I’m not on twitter so thankfully I didn’t have to deal with that but just seeing the screenshots and hearing about it spikes my anxiety through the roof. Like between this and the darklina’s thinking that in this day and age, especially with what’s going on with the hate towards asians right now, that because they don’t like a SHIP, they can not only be racist and bully the actors and their children. But they can call the ship MALARIA, like. I wish I was joking it is downright vulgar.

Tiny Izzy for the ask thingy!

How I feel about them: I feel like this is obvious, as with most things about me but. I love him. I know his only substantial content is dr3 but like. It’s the concept of him and his potential dude. I joke about him a lot but also he’s incredibly sad to me and I got emotionally invested in him okay

My ships with them: Kamukoma, kamunami, and kamuegi. And whatever the ship name for Kamukura and Kazuichi is. They’re fun.

Non-romantic otp: okay so. This isn’t romantic or platonic. But. I think Junko and Izuru have an interesting dynamic. Ideally, she stays fifty miles away from everyone in the cast, but in the context of canon, I think their interactions would be pretty entertaining? Idk, I like the idea of them being an unintentional comedic duo with her being crazy about him and him literally hating her guts dkjfksbfkejf. Also I like him and Hajime as friends or brothers or headmates. Depends on the au.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think this is unpopular but I’m firmly on board with the “Izuru has feelings” idea. Personally I think HPA just didn’t let him really learn how to process them or just. Flat out tried to remove that part entirely. Of course I’m 90% sure that’s impossible without damaging some other part of your brain, so they failed. He still has issues with emoting sometimes but he can still feel stuff, y’know? He knows what feelings are, obviously, ultimate therapist n all, but HPA probably drilled into his head that he was to follow orders and nothing else.

One thing I wished canon did with them: please. Please god I wished he had an actual presence in UDG. This is more of a gripe with the game itself but I would die happy if I could get actual content for him please god. I would have loved to see hints that he was in Towa City, whether that’s dialogue from Nagito and Monaca or details that pop up when you interact with stuff while walking around with Komaru and Toko. Pls I���m begging that’d be such a cool way to tie him into the end scene listen to me I swear I’m coherent rn—

I’m a sucker for parallels and one of my faves is how at the beginning of HHF Lo struggles with his addiction and it shows in how he struggles to keep up with Ryke during their run and in how strained things are between them and then at the end of the book he’s so much lighter and they run together and they’ve been though so much together and worked through so many issues AND THEN AND THEN AND THEN, in LWD, it’s Ryke who need’s Lo’s help and he SO delivers, and it’s Ryke who struggles to keep up with Lo when they’re running but AGAIN, they support each other and make it through and am I crying or am I crying

Connor’s birthday in FTF and Lily being tasked with keeping him in place and then when Ryke is guarding him, Connor literally makes a run for it, how hilarious it must’ve looked, I’m -

Ok but when it comes to my “ultimate” Addicted OTP, I…honestly can’t decide? I just love each of them - lilo, coballoway and raisy - for very different things and it’s like picking your favourite kid - it’s just not something you do. I know people usually tend to be partial to this or that ship or character more (as I usually am) but with Addicted series, it’s “take them all or leave them all” kind of a deal.

3. Favourite Like Us moments

I’m going to go for “brief” this time, haha

every little lunnelly moment (Donnelly saying “she’s back” is very high on the list just as him offering to eat Luna out and Moffy hearing it because lmaoo)

all the moments between Moffy and Charlie, they’re kind of like Rose and Lo of Like Us series to me, they’re this kinda hostile brotp that really would sacrifice life for one another - and I especially loved when Moffy ACTUALLY FREAKING ASKED Charlie’s HELP with foundation and their talk on the plane

Thatcher remembering the names of all of Jane’s cats

Loren Hale being the most badass badass and putting Samantha where she belongs aka in the trash *sorry not sorry*

WHAT’S YOUR OTP FOR YOUR MUSE?: God I have too many to count honestly! But if I had to choose my top three from canonverse it would be Jaune x Ren, Yang x Ren and Pyrrha x Ren. I also have a few RPs with OCs that I am more than happy turning into ships if they alll but asked. :’-)

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?: God yes! But usually I don’t do shipping with OCs right off the bat, unless I know you from another blog. Although if you’d like to come speak with me over IM I will most likely agree to do any ship! Usually just asking me will make me yell in your face cute ideas of what they could do!

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?: I think it depends on my muse really. Since I RP Ren, the oldest age gap in a ship can only be 18 at their oldest and 15 at their youngest. Anything in between that is completely fine! But if it’s an aged up RP where Ren is 18+ I think the minimum age would be 18 and the oldest no more than maybe 10 years?

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?: Not really! I suppose it depends on who I’m RPing with and how long I have been RPing with them for!

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NSFW?: Well, I don’t really do NSFW on my blog, or remotely steamy things. However I think it would be considered nsfw once wandering hands come into place, I guess? Usually I skip that if I am writing smut with characters, but for Ren since he’s underage there’s 0 sexy times, sorry!!!!! ;w;

WHO ARE OTHER MUSES YOU SHIP YOUR MUSE WITH?: Oh God, I feel so embarrassed doing this bc I don’t want people to feel obligated to ship wefwrngweorgnrew gah idk really! I sadly don’t speak to people, but honestly if anyone I’m rping with rn wants to turn our thread into a ship I’d be up for that!!!

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?: It’s a appreciated to ask if you want to RP with me but haven’t done so in the past if you want to ship! But I think really just watching the chemistry go along I think I can literally jump in as long as someone wants to. :-D

HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP?: I love to ship! Though that’s not always the point of an RP. I love shipping, but I also love plot and everything else that comes with an RP!

ARE YOU MULTISHIP?: GOD I AM HELP. Genuinely, I think it’ll only take me about a few responses to make me ship something, I swear.

ARE YOU SHIP OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS?: I’m probably ship obsessed but I like to tag myself as ship more-or-less. Because I know that’s not always the reason for RP c:

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?: My absolute favourite ships are currently BumbleBee, Martial Arcs, Arkos, Winter Bird (I think that’s what it’s called), Sunflower, Renora, Red Lotus, and almost anything else you’d care to mention, gah. I’m also really into rarepairs.
