I saw this little fandom game thingie on another site and I really liked it, so I decided to bring it over here to tumblr while my apple pen charges. I’m also going to change up the rules. I’m going to list the fandoms I’ve been in, and classify them by:

Passive enjoyer = simply enjoyed it and the fan content made for it OR Creative enjoyer = actively made art, fanfic, cosplay, etc etc etc.

Harry Potter - creative enjoyer - My very first. This shit was a family affair in my house. I went to watch parties, themed parties. I cosplayed shittily, wrote shitty fanfic, and my walls were plastered floor to ceiling in teen magazine posters. Went to the Exhibition. Every second movie would come out in July so I would pretend it was like a birthday gift to me.

Twilight - creative enjoyer - Jfc. Don’t get me started. I still have my Edward action figure whose now missing both hands. Used to write self insert fanfic on quizzilla.com. RIP you beast of a website

The Walking Dead - passive enjoyer - This was also a family affair. Every sunday we would all gather round our shitty TV for the newest episode. I was more of a liveblogger than anything else. My dad has a bit to this day that ‘Hershel isn’t dead. He’ll be back.’ Yeah, sure dad.

Legend of Zelda - creative enjoyer - For most of my childhood I was passive, only really doodling Twilight Princess stuff sometimes. Then BOTW came out and it all changed.

Lord of the Rings - passive enjoyer - I look at Legolas and Aragorn. That’s enough for me. I don’t need creative works because I just need to look at them.

Marvel (Spider-man and Loki mostly) - creative enjoyer - I’ve been drawing these guys since birth, for better or for worse. MCU can suck my nuts but so can Loki franchise /sex DC (Batman) - creative enjoyer - Batman the Animated series did something bad to me. Now I draw Joker sometimes. Watch out, stay safe out there

Sherlock and Doctor Who - passive enjoyer - I’m putting these two together since I never really made fan art or anything, but I did attend watch parties for both on several occasions.

Supernatural - creative enjoyer - Sighs. Sighs even harder. Somewhere out there, deep in the depths of fanfic.net there’s miles of really really really bad fanfic. Somewhere…. Final Fantasy VII - creative enjoyer - Sighs far more dreamily. My favvvvv my ultimate fav. Sephiroth is my fictional other and LOMF. Many, many arts of him throughout every sketchbook I own. Also some fanfics IIRC.

TF2 - creative enjoyer - I used to draw Medic and Pyro kissing<3

Homestuck - creative enjoyer - War flashbacks. Not only was I a semi-well known fanartist, I was also a semi-well known cosplayer in my city. I was a ‘friendleader’ in my cities Homestuck fangroup and attended events, dances, etc etc etc. I was on a cosplay gif blog here on Tumblr. I ran the second most popular groupchat on MSPARP.com before it was MXRP.com. I had beef with mods. Most of my relationships at that time were forged in the fires of LOHAC. I still see my art of Dave in MCR black parade uniform around sometimes. Dramatical Murder - creative enjoyer - To no ones surprise. Yeah. I like the yaoi dissociation game. Dream Daddy - creative enjoyer - SHOUTOUT DREAM DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evil priest Joseph lovers rise UP. Didn’t do much, but there’s some art floating around out there.

Voltron: LD - passive enjoyer - Thank GOD I never made anything for this. However, I was active in the kin community so thats a huge L. I also ate uppppp stuff about it and sheith still fucks.

Overwatch - creative enjoyer - Sometimes you’re a Genji main and the world is so so hard for you. That’s how I used to live my life, then I got better.

Get To Know Me a Little

I’m working on making a very detailed page/carrd about myself, but for now, here’s a little about me, plus my DNI and my BYF. Unless stated otherwise, everything here is genuine (/g) and serious (/srs).

Also, I didn’t know where to put this in, but I’m 18 years old, white and neurodivergent (though not yet diagnosed) as of writing this. 

Name 

I go by Rot, and I also like ‘that thing’, and simply being referred to with no name, like just my pronouns, a vague gesture or just a blank space. 

Pronouns

My main/favorite pronouns are he/him, he/hine, it/its, pup/pups and rot/rots, though I use others. The full sets will be in my carrd when I publish it.

Orientation

I use a lot of labels, like, over 40, just for my orientation, so it would be a long list to put here, but I do have main/favorite ones. 

My main orientations or my most well known ones are gay, mlm, nblm, asexual, aro-spec, aegosexual and polyamorous. Those are the ones I usually tell people as most people know what those all are (but if you don’t, don’t worry, and feel free to ask!)

Some other lesser known labels, or microlabels, I use are achillesyian, myrsexual, fictoqueer, nindivian, xeminian, nosexsexual, apl-spec and aflux. 

And that’s still not the full list!

Gender

Like my orientation, I use a heaping pile of gender labels. I use mostly xenogenders, but I do have a few anthrogenders (non-xenic/non-xenogenders). Gender for me, personally, is things that are related, connected, have influence over, represent or gave me euphoria in my identity as male, sexless, altersex, non-binary and “a boy”. 

My most well known genders or labels are transmasc, boy, non-binary, enboy, genderfluid and polygender. 

Some of my favorite xenogenders are kenochoric, kiddiekitty, calicracklic, batusio, cannibagorix, hiemisano, archerlian and pyrogender.

I use well over 300 labels for my gender, which I will be attempting to put into a neat, organized list. 

Nonhumanity and Alterhumanity

I also use many alterhuman labels. 

I’m a polymorph, calico cat therian, some form of angel, divine or angelic type thing (I’ve been confused by it for over two years haha), Dt. Castellanos fictionkin and Stefano Valentini fictionkin, both of which are from The Evil Within and The Lighthouse fictionkin. 

Other labels I use are furry, inexian, boything, aldernic, alderlux, aldervexic, and alderzeevi ( he four alder- labels are not specifically an alterhuman labels, but I feel it describes my alterhumanity). 

I’m also an age and pet dreamer (which aren’t alterhuman but they don’t fit anywhere else) meaning I sometimes act like or pretend to be a child and/or animal, without fully regressing into a child-like or animal-like headspace. I’m not 100% sure, but I’m pretty sure that I’m not able to regress, either age or pet. It could be that I’m not not able to, or I don’t have what I need to (a safe/comfty space, a caregiver, comfort/ageregre/petregre items, etc). This is NOT k!nk or age/pet play of any kind. 

And like my orientation and gender, that’s not all my labels!

I think its’ pretty apparent that I absolutely love labels. 

Interests and Fandoms

I’m an artist and writer, both original work and fanwork, and I love, love, love collecting things. I like to collect rocks, crystals, shells, dried flowers, random nature stuff (like acorns, moss, etc), books, random objects (tiny toys, coins, slime) and dead things (bones, dead bugs, starfish, etc. I only find them in nature, and never kill or trap! I do not condone or support killing animals, bugs and other living things for the sole reason of collecting or taxidermy.)

Some fandoms I’m in is Marvel, both comics, MCU and other movies, DC Comics, both comics, animated series and movies, and Legends of Tomorrow, Overwatch, Team Fortress 2, The Evil Within, Skulduggery Pleasant, Warrior Cats and the furry fandom. 

My all time favorite characters in all of media are Junkrat and Roadhog (Overwatch), Mick Rory (Legends of Tomorrow), Barry Allen (The Flash, DC Comics), Skulduggery Pleasant and Bill-Ray Sanguine (Skulduggery Pleasant series), Hannibal Lecter (Hannibal NBC) and Aramis and Porthos (The Musketeers BBC).

Some aesthetics I like are cottagecore, weridcore, kingcore, knightcore, fairycore, kidcore and vaporwave, though this isn’t the full list!

Nope, but I had plans for a Doctor Who/Bruce Banner fic that just never got off the ground, lol. I think they’d have an awesome dynamic.

Nope, just an incomprehensible comment or two.

One and that’s all you’re getting from me. Also, none of you are ever going to find it. I’m too ace for smut writing, lol.

Nope. I’ve definitely considered “stealing” my own fics since they’re so... scattered across different accounts, lol.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

THORBRUCE!!! I love them! I’m also really into the Thor/Bruce/Tony friendship.

I was also really into Gingkite and Killugon back in the day. And Alphyne and Kingdings.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

The Strongest One There Is, definitely. I keep wanting to go back to it but I genuinely don’t think I ever will.

What are your writing strengths?

I would say dialogue and maybe writing horror/angst? I love me some good angst.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I like to disappear off the face of the planet for a year or two with regards to my writing, for one. I also find descriptions really difficult. 

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I gotta say, I would love to get to a point with my Spanish where I’m able to do that. But sadly that’s been put on an indefinite hold, lol.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Technically Warrior Cats (lol), but the first fic I published was a Harry Potter deathfic.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

DEFINITELY DBAYAD. Hands down! I’m in love with this fic and I think about it every single day. I want everyone to read it all the time.

Tansy’s Spooky Challenge

Because the World is terrifying :D

To celebrate this milestone (1k followers :O) I’m starting a challenge which hopefully will give back to this community in terms of exposure of less known authors (or just authors that aren’t known by my followers) and in creating more stories. I’m so thankful for all the attention I’ve been given, and I hope to give you guys my attention as well.

I love writing challenges because they give authors motivation to write (sometimes even things out of their comfort zone), because they’re a great way for writer’s to promote themselves, and because it’s a great way for the person hosting it to find more stories and authors they could end up being big fans of :D I especially encourage people with less followers, or whose works I haven’t read to participate.

The main objective of this challenge is to write something that has an element of horror in it. It can range from a situation that seemed scary but is okay, to something that is a little eerie, to pure unadulterated terror. As for rules:

You DON’T have to be following me to participate.

You have to enter with a reader insert/OC fic. There doesn’t have to be any smut or shipping, and if there is, the relationship DOESN’T HAVE to be about dark!character or dark!reader.

I’ll read works for any fandom, but the ones I’m most familiar with are Marvel, Overwatch, Snowpiercer, Knives Out, Naruto, Avatar:The Legend of Aang

You can submit drabbles, one-shots, or an entry of a serialized story.

A single prompt CAN be used by more than a single person.

The fanfics can be of any length, but if they’re on the longer side, please try putting a ‘Read More’ in there somewhere to avoid making things difficult for people reading on phones.

There is a Corvette parked in front of the building, just by the front door. You approach the vehicle as if compelled by an invisible force and look in through the closed window. There’s none inside, but you see, in the driver's seat, illuminated by the neon lights of the bar, a white cowboy hat with a golden band. This isn’t the first time you see this hat.

The hole is no more than eight feet long and three feet wide. You peer in deeper, but you can’t see the bottom. There’s a soft but grating sound coming from somewhere within, like sharp nails raking against a metal plate. You can’t see the bottom, but you think you can see movement inside.

You abandon the warmth of the laundromat for the biting cold of the outside world. To your right, the road extends for miles and miles into the night, as it does to your left. There’s no place for you to go, but you can’t go back inside.

The light of the neon sign proudly displaying “Rising Sun Motel” shines through your door. You had closed and locked it before taking your shower – you know you had, because you do it in every room you rent. You take a cursory glance of your surroundings. Nothing is out of place or missing. Must be a faulty lock. The night is windy and could have pushed the cheap door open. You go to lock it again, and when you turn around you see that the closet door is slightly ajar.

The land is flat as far as the eye can see and identical houses with identically manicured lawns sprout from it as far as the eye can see. You run up and then down the street (or is it down and then up?) but you can’t seem to find anything else. The people look so friendly when they smile and wave as they pass you by, but you don’t ask them for directions. You look at your phone. You have signal, but all you can get your internet to show you are advertising for washing machines and sites with recipes for awful things preserved in aspic. The date and hour on your home screen keep changing. You’re positive you’ve been in this place for hours, but the sun won’t set.

“B-but… I don’t understand...” “We have checked the security footage three times and found nothing. There are also no signs of forced entries. No fingerprints.” “-My phone! I took pictures, I know I took-!” “We found nothing on your phone, in the SD card, or in the Cloud. There’s nothing.” “That’s impossible!” “We searched as much as we could. I’m sorry, but… are you sure-” “I know what I saw! I know it! Look again!” You aren’t imagining things. It couldn't have been your mind. It couldn't, it couldn’t, it couldn't

What kind of convenience store has taxidermy heads for decoration? You ask yourself as you roam the aisles of the near empty shop. You peek from behind a row of shelves to one side and spot the clerk. He’s old and severe looking, and although his pupils are pointed in your direction, you get the distinct feeling he’s looking right through you. You move your head to the other side of the shelves and spot another one of those fucking deer heads. This one’s large, wet eyes are turned to a fixture in the ceiling, but you would swear it’s watching you.

Rain pelts you as you stand at the dock, waiting. You hope your boat will arrive soon. You look over your shoulder into the mist and see nothing that should give you pause, but your leg still won’t stop shaking. You touch your arm by reflex and wince when you brush your cut. You think your makeshift tourniquet is working, but it looks fragile, like it could get dismantled at any second. In this weather, you’re sure is just a matter of time. You look over your shoulder again. Still nothing, but you fear it won’t last. You hope your boat will arrive soon.

The living room is dark, but you don’t turn on the lights. You are still too close. You move to the kitchen, and there you feel safe enough to reach for the switch. The illuminated room, much larger than it needed to be, is a ghastly land of contrasts. The many counters and their many marble tops are covered in trash. The tile floors, formerly clean enough to eat out of, are now muddied, not a single spot spared. The eyes of the two stoves are covered by pans and pots boiling foul mixtures. Through the window you can see the sprawling lawn and walls of hedges. They will hide you, but for how long? There is something waiting for you in the hallway, something terrible. You have to address it before sunrise, but for now you’ll wait here. The kitchen isn’t half as bad as the rest of the house.

‘The Bystander Effect’ is the term used to describe the phenomenon in which people don’t intervene in emergency situations when in a group, and, the larger the group, the less likely they are to intervene. You know this to be true, even without doing any research, as you hobble your way through the maze of alleyways. Your cries for help had gone unanswered, bouncing off the concrete walls into a multitude of uncaring ears. It’s just how it is in the big city – every man for himself, and the devil take the hindmost. So much for safety in numbers. The truth is, in this city, surrounded by all these people, you’re more alone than you’d ever been.

You take the first step with care, mindful of all the ice. The second is a little clumsier. On the third you almost slip. You skip the fourth and fall on the fifth, rolling down the stairs and landing face first in the snow. You scramble to get back to your feet and run to your car. You have to get home. You lock yourself in and don’t bother with the safety belt. You shove the key in the ignition and turn and turn but nothing happens. Did you leave it in the cold too long, or- There’s no time to think about it. You step out of the car and start running, into the freezing night. You have to get home, you have to get home now.

Cleanup time is always a hassle. You wish you didn’t have to do it, but it wouldn’t be fair to leave the mess all to your partner. You two near the open trunk of the car and load the heavy cargo into it. Your companion seems the most affected by the weight, and you offer an apologetic smile. Fair is fair though; it was your turn to carry the feet end.

Skinny dipping had seemed like a good idea when your friend suggested it earlier, under the sweltering sun. Now, standing in front of the pool in your bathing suit, all by your lonesome, you start to regret having agreed to her scheme. Wasn’t she supposed to have arrived forty minutes ago? She said she’d bring people too, because skinny dipping alone isn’t fun. Well, now you are all alone in the cold, and you suspect that is even less fun. Just as you make up your mind to leave, you see a car through the chain link fence. It pulls up just before the gate and the engine turns off. That must be them.

- Julie and the phantoms, now that is a sitcom done right and for weeks I couldn’t stop listening to the track.

- I Care A Lot and I was the first to figure out the two main characters were together cause I watched it with my family.

- I am Not Okay With This, the main character falling in love with her best friend hit so hard it hurt and I’m still waiting on a new season.

Valentines 2020: A Celebration of My Ships

So it’s valentine’s day again, and...yeah it’s not too great when you’re single is it? Considering that I’ve already gone through a tub of ice cream...

But, it doesn’t mean I’m a cynic, quite the opposite. Most of my fandoms involves a ship in some shape or form, hell I shipped before I even knew what shipping was, so I’m gonna talk about some of them...the ones that still make me happy and didn’t crash and burn in heartbreaking and frankly insulting fashion (looking at you Homestuck ¬_¬), gotta mention that these are not all the ships I ship, they’re just some of the ones I’m quite consistently high on

New Entries So with new fandoms come new ships...as is the usual formula anyway, though my pattern of watching things is usually with some delay, I only watched Rurouni Kenshin and started My Hero Academia in 2019, I still hold off on Attack on Titan and My Hero Season 4 because if I get in, I get IN. So these fandoms may not be new, but they are new to me Steven Universe is very new to me, I’ve been aware of how good it is and their concepts like Fusion. I like it, particularly Lapis Lazuli I really relate to her, but ship wise the two I really like are the obvious ones; Steven x Connie and Ruby x Sapphire (Garnet)

Garnet is badass and chill at the same time, but when she unfuses we see the stuff that makes me smile, the pda between Ruby and Sapphire is adorable, the little pecks and whatnot softens me up like no man’s business. Steven and Connie also have the mushy dynamic with both of them deeply into each other but still being strong individuals. The love for each other is equally platonic as it is romantic as they gel together, both being strong willed in different ways. The laughter probably gets me the most with both of them, the genuine laughter is so sweet and so realistic it’s hard not to love. My Hero Academia seems to be our next wave of shonen anime and for good reason, it does high notes so well and the cast of characters are vibrant and exciting. I haven’t hit Season 4 yet since I’m waiting till it’s all done to binge so I may be a little behind on some stuff (sadly it’s hard to avoid spoilers, I know about Infinity and Unbreakable). While I do like Deku x Uraraka, Tetsutetsu x Kendo and Eraserjoke but the two that I find most enjoyable are Todomomo and Kamijirou

(artist nonoko135 btw, bit tough to find a single image with both ships) Fairly popular ships in their own right, Todomomo doesn’t get many hints but they are sweet, naive rich kids with their own confidence issues, it also feels like they look out for each other especially after the final exam they did together. With Kamijirou though it’s probably one I favour if I had to choose between the two, simply because it’s a dynamic I really like; she busts on him so hard to mask her enjoyment of his company and he takes it because he feels at ease around her, the best part is when Kaminari goes 0 volts, he makes her laugh and that’s kinda big for Jirou given how self-conscious and stoic she can be. Rurouni Kenshin was always on my list, I have often heard about the Swordsman with a blade that cuts no-one. The anime is a bit up and down, after Shishio it’s just filler, but as documented in my Redemption Arc post it is at its core a great story of redemption for the main character, and the driving force for Kenshin’s redemption is his love for Kaoru

While Sano and Megumi have a unique dynamic hinted to be romantic at times, nothing can really beat Kenshin and Kaoru, she literally became Kenshin’s conscience, a representation of his hope to be a good man away from the shadow of Battousai the Manslayer. It may be your traditional romance of the two wanting to be by each other’s side in danger but it works so well given the kind of danger Kenshin is often in. Kaoru still strives to protect herself and aid Kenshin in a way that doesn’t make her continuously wonder about being a burden and Kenshin does everything in his power to keep Kaoru from pain, physical and emotional, even if it meant leaving to keep her safe. The main part of what makes this lovely is the fact that not only did Kaoru’s influence make Kenshin value his own life once more but after continual torment in his past she still saw him as the person he wanted to be, and welcomed in a new home, a new family he was able to live a life he never imagined he could deserve. The Regulars Our Regulars are the ships I still consistently ship, they’re not very old but they’re still pretty great and they still stand the test of time. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has quite a few ships over its 6 (coming up 7) season lifespan, being the longest surviving MCU tv series and one of the most consistently great shows MCU offered - especially Season 4, some of the best TV was on Season 4. But while Philinda is close, Mack and Yoyo or even Piper and Davis (don’t, I don’t care if you believe she’s a lesbian with the hots for May these are my ships) there is one one ship in Shield you can all rally behind, Fitzsimmons

Even when canon it is a consistent emotional rollercoaster. One of those ships where the writers know you love it and decide to put you through as much pain and emotional torment as humanely possible. But you endure it, because these two smart kids are worth it. They have sweet moments, badass moments, emotional moments and even though they get brought apart time and time again, they still find each other, the universe cannot stop them - and it better end happily for them come next season. Overwatch was a phenomenon when it came out a few years ago, Blizzard may have caused it to have some heavily bad rep but I still look forward to its sequel coming out. Given its large roster and most of the characters’ sexuality and relationship status up in the air, it leaves a lot of room for shipping. I do still love Anahardt, Mercy76 kinda falling due to 76 being gay but I like Gency too, my rarepairs include McPharah and Symmzo but my favourite is actually Meihem.

Now I know, Mei’s only voice lines towards Junkrat are cold, they have differing views in terms of omnics and...due process of the law. But there’s a lot they do have in common; both are quite intelligent engineers having made their weapons by hand, both endured trauma and both love their puns. But even the stuff that make them different can compliment one another. You don’t have to like it, but I do, I enjoy the dynamic of Jamison being so head over heels that he embarrasses himself to try and get Mei’s attention, while Mei softens to the fact that his very nature is warped by his lawless upbringing and that deep down he is an exciting and in his own way sweet guy.  Back to anime, because what else do I do with my day, getting into One Piece was always going to be a long effort, keeping tabs on the Manga does make it easier and I’ve been able to catch up quickly. Ships are shaky territory with One Piece because Oda does make a point of not having romance happen a lot, not to existing living characters at least. But I still have the ones I like; Shanks x Makino, Sabo x Koala, Franky x Robin, Sanji x Pudding, Rebecca x Koby, the list goes on, but my favourite has to be Zoro x Tashigi

May not be up there with the ‘big ships’ of One Piece but I do enjoy them the most. Individually the two are characters I have deep interest in; Zoro is well Roronoa Fucking Zoro, santoryu swordsman extraordinaire, master of nothing happening and will cut you 8 ways to Sunday, but Tashigi is a character I like because she also tries, unlike Zoro she isn’t blessed with 2 years training with Mihawk and she’s at constant arms with this self doubt that as a Woman she won’t be as strong (and probably whoever of influence to her made her believe such a thing), people may get on her back for never winning a fight but she fights strong people without a second thought. But back to the pairing, they have an interesting dynamic; two very similar people on different sides of the law, I don’t think Tashigi continues to chase him simply because he refused to cut her in their fight and I don’t think it’s just her former resemblance to Kuina that gets Zoro so riled up about her, I mean Zoro is usually so chill to side characters to the point where he’s ready to throw down but with Tashigi, it’s different, they bicker but he also came to her aid. I still continue to hope that Tashigi shows in Wano for more Zoro interaction, and to prove herself to fans and to Zoro that she is strong and capable. One of my favourite anime of all time is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, a combination of laughter, tears and deep philosophical character journeys in a 20th century world with the alchemy fantasy element drawn from actual legit alchemical sources. It just hits all the right notes for me, and ships hit right too; I love most of the ships from EdWin, AlMay and LingFan, but like Fitzsimmons there is one ship that stands above even the main characters, Royai.

Mustang and Hawkeye right from the bat have that connection that needs no dancing around, they care for each other but they work together. Like the rest of the ships they banter, argue but always have each other’s backs, to the point that they go into an insane rage at even the threat of the other being hurt. I don’t think anyone can not ship these two, that’s how strong their chemistry is, even if they can’t officially label it as a relationship because of their jobs it’s that line in the sand that everyone knows it, because it’s impossible to ignore. The Old Guard So we get to the oldest ships in my catalogue, the fact that they could stand the test of time is for a long time what shaped me as a shipper. I still ship these to this day so I ship them pretty hardcore Comics is probably the hardest place to ship something, because different writers will try different pairings at the drop of a hat. Even consistent pairings like Spiderman and Mary Jane, Batman and Catwoman, Beat Boy and Raven, Superman and Lois and more can end up being split in favour of Cindy Moon (I do love Silk), Wonder Woman and others. But I can’t ignore the fact that I’ve always loved Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon

I may’ve liked Teen Titans, but I was never on Team Starfire, it’s fine if you are but to me I have always been in with Dick and Babs. Not only do they have excellent banter but they gel well on and off of crime fighting, no matter how many times DC break them apart (like seriously, how many times do you have to try Bruce and Barbara until you realise that it creeps people out?) they always find each other again someway down the line, they are one of DC’s best couples and while they may never get a definitive ending because of the nature of comics, I still love that there’s a relationship of two strong individuals who can stand as equals and continue to keep their charm and wit after years of being together. When I was young, decades ago as it pains me to type, Digimon was the prime competitor against Pokémon’s tidal wave. Its anime had an awesome opening, more characters with some deeper themes and a quicker pacing. While many could quickly connect to Tai or Matt for their leaderlike attitude or Joe and Izzy for their intelligence or Mimi and Sora for their determination, I gravitated towards TK, a child who had room to grow and the greatest of potential, so when the Dark Masters came in we saw one of my oldest ships take form, Takari

TK and Kari’s pairing was popular that it managed to carry on into Adventure 02 and we got plenty of lovely moments in TRI (though they shorthanded both by having Ophanimon quickly fused and Seraphimon - one of the strongest Digimon - digivolve as backup in a Sora episode). 02′s epilogue is of course a sore spot we can hope Kizuna retcons because these two have been through thick and thin and their bond is clear. Even as they reach their late teens and TK has become master of hats and joined Matt’s band, they still hang out, banter and tease but they still are comfortable to hold each other’s hand and be vulnerable with one another too. Digimon may’ve been a contender, but Pokémon was still the clear winner, even to this day it is one of the most popular franchises in the world. The anime may be an up and down slope (current series seems a tad boring, 10 episodes before Ash caught a Pokémon, plus I don’t like that Ash won in Alola and now thinks he doesn’t have to try) but you can never take away the nostalgia, or the ships. I’ve shipped many in Pokémon in various media; Mallow x Lillie and Jessie x James in the anime, Ruby x Sapphire in the Manga, Looker x Anabel in the games (with Emma being their adoptive daughter dammit Looker you could’ve taken her with) among others and from Pokémon comes the oldest ship I’ve ever shipped, Pokéshipping

Before I even knew what Shipping was I shipped this, Misty may also be mostly the reason for my attraction to redheads but that’s neither here nor there. People may not like it, may prefer some of the softer spoken female (or male) companions Ash has had or feel they’ve grown out of it, but not me. I loved Misty’s feistiness and determination but also the fact that she could reign Ash in (sometimes) to make him think things through, as much as Misty was a companion to Ash she was a rival, a teacher and a supporter of his goal, but she also had her own goals which she fought for as well. They may bicker but they have also had tender moments as well and even with Misty’s return in the excellent Sun and Moon episodes they had their chemistry is palpable. To me, Ash and Misty were kindred spirits and the feeling has never changed since. So with another year of Valentine’s Day going the way it usually does, I’d like a moment to thank these ships, and all my other ships I didn’t have the space to mention, for being something that brings out happiness and a soft joy deep within my being, and for all the fanartists and fanfic writers that bring that love to life Happy Valentine’s Day

April 3rd - 30 Days of Autism Acceptance

April 3: Talk about special interests. Do you have any? What are they? How long have you had them? What does it feel like to have special interests? What does having special interests mean to you? Talk about your past special interests.

I have TONS of special interests XD! I won’t bore you by listing all of them, but some of them include, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, X-Men, Detroit: Become Human, Overwatch, Frozen I and II, Rick Riordan’s  Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard  series, and other fandoms. On a more serious note, there’s also creative writing, autism, ASL, languages, HTML code, bats, the supernatural (especially vampires), Dissociative Identity Disorder, the Syrian refugee crisis, the Vietnam War, genetics, and more. Those are the ones I’ve been most engaged in as of recently.

For the duration, well, I’ve liked the X-Men for several years, but only got really obsessed a few months ago; same thing with the MCU; just a couple months ago or so I got into Detroit: Become Human; I’ve been obsessed with and have played Overwatch for a year or two now; as much as I refused to admit at first due to embarrassment, I’ve liked the movie Frozen since it first came out in 2013 (I also love Frozen II!); and I have only known the   Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard  series for a couple weeks (I’m only on the first book so no spoilers please!). Additionally, I’ve been obsessed with creative writing since Grade Four (MANY years), intrigued by autism since a little bit before my diagnosis (so a few years),  have been attempting to learn ASL and a few other languages for a couple years now (the one I know the best is German as of now), have been interested in learning the HTML codes for months, have loved bats for years, been awed by the supernatural since I was four years old, obsessed with learning about DID for a few months, the Syrian refugee crisis one has lasted for a year or two, the Vietnam War one has been for the past few months, and genetics for maybe a month now. However, I’m not super obsessed with genetics and the Syrian refugee crisis anymore. My main obsessions are autism, DID, HTML, languages (+ASL), creative writing, and the MCU.

I also have ADHD-C so, my ability to pay attention is inconsistent. Therefore, I experience what’s known as hyperfixation (focusing on one or a select few things for a long duration of time). I hyperfixate on my special interests as well as other things like cleaning (occasionally).

To answer the prompt question, when I either learn, write, talk, etc. about one of my special interests, a wave of happiness washes over me. It’s almost like an euphoric high that is triggered through focusing on something you like. Furthermore, I often spend hours focusing on my special interests solely so, I get lost in my own little world of contentment. It’s satisfying to do anything related to a special interest.

However, many people don’t like it when you constantly talk about one subject or are an expert in one field. It’s rare for me to find others who want to talk to me about what I’m interested in. Holding in that urge to spread information is super hard, but I’ve been conditioned by society to keep my mouth shut. I’ve been ridiculed for some of my interests, too, so, I rarely share them anymore and am embarrassed to do so. I haven’t even shared all of them in this post and probably won’t for a little bit.

Special interests are a way for me to have some fun learning things about a particular subject. Acting upon them is my equivalent of doing a sport one loves. It’s stimulating (in a good way) to me so, I try to make sure I engage with them every so often as a pick me up. They are really important to me, and I can’t imagine a world in which I didn’t have them. I’ve had them since forever. I just thought it was a part of being a nerd before my diagnosis.

Some of my past interests have included the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, the Maximum Ride graphic novel series by James Patterson, Hamilton, Be More Chill, The Incredibles, the Cars movies, Alice In Wonderland, Disney overall, and more that I can’t recall at this moment. Let’s just say, I’ve had obsessions ever since I was little, and am constantly picking up new ones and cycling through my current ones.

Special interests are what make life very enjoyable for me! I love that the Internet is easily accessible so, I can write things online for, talk about, and learn things about my interests.

For those who are not on the spectrum (btw, I hate the word “allistic”), just know that many autistic people don’t know that they’re annoying you when talking about an interest nor do they know that they’ve been talking about it so extensively. At least I just get so caught up in the moment that I don’t realize that I’m giving someone an info dump. I do eventually realize, but it takes a while.

My advice is to kindly try to redirect the conversation if possible if you do not want to talk about a particular subject. NEVER ridicule, mock, or chastise someone for what their special interest/s is/are and for talking about them. It takes a tremendous amount of courage for some of us to allow ourselves to be open with other people about our interests due to past experiences.

would you guys be more interested in this blog if I post more fandoms, like overwatch, game of thrones, marvel, dc, harry potter, tolkien, etc? it’d be like my main @tchailla but I find it’s getting so hard to keep both blogs alive when I’m trying to separate the fandoms. But it might also be hard to have two multifandom blogs. so it’d be awesome if you guys have recommendations for what you like most!! like would you like this blog to be mostly relatable/meme posts + some fandom mix, or a specific fandom or two, or just whatever? I really don’t mind whatever so you input can really help.

I’m thinking today of the Fan Novels for some “legacy” fandoms that I’m planning on writing over the next year; I generally finish a major part and then cycle to something else to get that part finished, and back around again. Here are my current projects for my DCU, Marvel, and Star Trek AOS universes! (I also have some Overwatch work to do but that’s so complicated and long and WHAT WAS I THINKING when I mapped that out!)

As you can see, I love to take storylines that have been established (like movies or major mutli-title plotlines) and smash them together with everything I want out of it to make a divergent AU. I will make it less straight and less white by God, you cannot stop me, and I’ll have certain characters NOT die (and sometimes they DO, but they come back later!) because it’s comics, they’re never consistent! They said Bucky Barnes and Jason Todd would never be back, well look at them NOW. So I feel that there’s room to do whatever I want. What else are transformative works for?

A Marvel Fusion universe based primarily on comics canons with influence from movies as desired. Lots of reincarnation/avatars and past world-ending nonsense. I was always a DC girl, so my wife (who’s my creative partner) and our friends are helping me put some things together to make sure we keep the universe expanded! The main players are the Avengers and their related properties (Cap, Thor, IM, Widow, Etc), X-Men (Plus Deadpool!) and Spider-man.

While it began as a Batfamily Focus, it’s pretty much all legacies, all the time. Most major novels that aren’t Batfamily-focused, however, are based on the ideas behind the MCU movies! (Civil War will be Cap & Wonder Woman vs. Supes and Bats, it will not be pretty. Send help.)
