I can’t help but think how strange the world has become since we met—how quickly things change in a place like this, where every day feels like it could be the last. Sometimes, I wonder if the music is the only thing left that can still make sense of it all. And then I think of you, of the way you’ve quietly become a part of this story, and I’m reminded that there’s more to this fight than survival.

You’ve offered me moments of peace, moments where the noise and chaos of this competition fade, and for that, I’m grateful. I don’t know what the future holds for any of us, but I do know that I’ll hold on to these small pieces of light for as long as I can.

There’s so much more I wish I could say, but I find that some things are better left unsaid.

Andrew immediately opens the door after hearing the 'Rat-tat-tat' of Felix's familiar knock.

"A letter? Thanks Felix..." He looks to see what his friend has in his hand, sad to see it's not a belt, surprised to see it is not a howler, nor from Will or Theo. He scans the letter's content quickly, a puzzled look on his face as he looks back to Felix.

"My ideal...? My ideal what? Date? Meal? Get away plan? Ideally, I'd love more specifics as to what this mysterious sender would like to know about me..."

what is Andrew montrose ideal so like?

Felix carefully read the words of the letter a few times, double-checking to ensure that it was indeed about Andrew Montrose and not Andrew Larson.

Once he was certain, he realised that he couldn't simply respond with a playful remark, that the answer would probably be "a certain small, petite, red-headed Slytherin prefect."

It didn't feel appropriate for Felix to handle this letter on his own. With that in mind, the Swede decided to take the letter with him and seek out the fellow Ravenclaw himself. Carrying the letter in his hand, Felix made his way towards Andrew's dormitory.

Upon reaching the door, he gently knocked,

Rat-tat-tat

and patiently waited for his friend to open it.

"@ask-andrew-montrose," Felix called out softly, "I've got a letter for you."

To [Name],

I don’t know if you’ll ever read this, and maybe it’s better if you don’t. But I couldn’t leave without saying something properly, even if it’s just words on a page that might never reach you. I owe you that much. I owe you everything.

What happened…it was my fault. Not yours. Not theirs. Mine. I made the deal with Jade. I thought I could outplay them, thought I could turn their twisted rules into something that worked for us. But I was wrong. I gambled, as I always do, and this time, the stakes were too high. The cost wasn’t just mine to bear, and that’s what tears me apart the most.

Our friends…their death wasn’t your fault. You loved them, and you fought for them, just as you fought for me. But I failed us both. I see that now, and I hate myself for it. For the lies I told you, for the trust I broke, for the way I’ve dragged you into the shadows of my own making. You deserved better, so much better, than someone like me.

Leaving you wasn’t something I wanted—it was something I had to do. If I stayed, Jade would have used you, broken you, turned you into a weapon against me. And I couldn’t let that happen. Losing you now is a pain I can’t even begin to describe, but it’s a small price to pay if it means keeping you safe.

I don’t know where this path will lead me. Maybe I’ll win, maybe I’ll lose, but either way, I’ll carry you with me. You’re the only light I’ve ever known, the only one who’s ever seen me for who I really am and still cared. You’ve given me hope, something I didn’t think I could feel again. For that, I’ll always be grateful, even if I never get to tell you this in person.

Please, don’t blame yourself for my choices. Don’t let my mistakes dim your light. Live, [Name]. For yourself. For those you’ve lost. For the future you deserve. And if Lady Luck is kind, maybe—just maybe—we’ll meet again.

Until then, know this: you are, and always will be, My God, My Universe.
