Voll Mut und guter Laune – beschwingt

sieht man den Doktor,

wie in die Disko er springt.

Seinen Raum, den er allein für sich hat,

der ist gar wunderbar ausgestatt‘,

mit Glasgeräten und Apparaturen,

mit feinsten Waagen und genauesten Uhren.

In der Ecke ein Radio singt, drauf geeicht,

zu spielen Musik, die zur Freude gereicht.

Und dort der Chemiker behände bereitet

die Geräte vor, liest die Vorschrift, die leitet

ihn durch die Synthese, die er vor sich hat,

schwierigkeitstechnisch wirkt sie moderat:

Ein Kolben, ein Kühler, ein Trockenrohr

sowas gibt‘s tatsächlich in jedem Labor.

Evakuiere den Kolben, heize ihn, fein,

unter Luftausschluss komm‘n die Edukte rein

und wasserfreies Lösungsmittel

kommt in den Kolben und nicht auf den Kittel.

Zum Kochen braucht es Herd und Ölbad

dort rührt das Ganze bei hundertelf Grad.

Glasklare Tropfen – kondensiertes Toluol –

bilden sich im Kühler, fühl‘n dort sich nicht wohl,

rollen nach unten in den Kolben zurück

und probieren in Gasform gleich wieder ihr Glück.

Doch der Kühler, erbarmungslos wie er ist,

lässt sie nicht durch, ihre Hitze er frisst.

In einer Stunde, länger dauert es nicht,

ändert die Mischung ihr Angesicht:

Nun leuchtet sie grün, nur fast komplett klar,

denn von einem Edukt noch Rest übrig war.

Der wird heiß filtriert, zuvor‘s Rühr‘n eingestellt,

und kurz drauf durch Kühlen das Produkt gefällt.

Auch das wird filtriert: Orang‘ne Kristalle,

er schabt sie vom Filter und sammelt sie alle,

lässt sie über Nacht zum Trocknen allein

und stellt morgen zum Backen in den Ofen sie rein.

Das ist, wie ein Chemiker, in West wie in Ost,

sich kocht einen Ansatz seiner Hausmannskost

Nun gilt aber, wie der Name schon sacht:

‘Ne satte Strafe es kost‘

wenn zu Haus man‘s macht.
