Hi! I'm autistic, and Discord's latest mobile update is total and utter dogshit. They made it objectively less usable for no discernible reason. I'm here to help you fix that, and revert to the last update.

Disclaimer: I'm on Android, so these instructions are for Android only. If you're on IOS, I know there is a way to do it, but I'm not going to post instructions I haven't tested.

1. **UNINSTALL DISCORD.** This will not work if any user on your phone (probably only one unless you're into more technical stuff than even I am) has a more recent version installed.

2. Disable automatic app updates. If you're doing this, I expect you to already know how this works.

3. Download the APKMirror Installer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apkmirror.helper.prod&hl=en_US). It will require you to watch an ad when you install the APK, but you can uninstall it after you're done.

4. Download this APK, it's the latest pre-update Discord distribution: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SSWdpi0Ms7wyHgDSSRqZgY4_G6r_wA0X/view?usp=drivesdk).

5. Use the APKMirror app to install the APK.

6. You're done! Launch it and log in. Feel free to uninstall APKMirror Installer and delete the APK file from your storage at this point, as you will not need them.

If you want to re-enable auto-updates for other things, follow these instructions in the app store:

- Enable aeroplane mode.

- Re-enable auto-updates of your choice (usually WiFi only).

- Navigate to the Discord app's settings in the app store.

- Disable Discord app's auto-update check box.

- Turn off aeroplane mode.

That's about it! Don't forget to leave them a negative review. If we can get a reversion of this update, that's the best outcome. Stay beautiful people.

I’m sorry every time I open this fuck ass site I keep talking about Kikaider-I should change my pfp to jiro atp but Ryoma 💔-but my brain keeps wandering back to 01 and I think another reason I’m accepting of it being so flawed is because my only idea to do a rewrite has flaws of its own.

01 conceptually would be WAY better without Jiro and Gill, and in the original Jiro actually DID kill him, so it’s instead SHADOW is rebrand of DARK who wants to continue his quest of world domination and want to use his son Akira for it, and Ichiro is instead the protagonist who is faced with dealing with it. That way, without Jiros presence all the new robots would get more development-especially Rei-but that comes with a new problem that aside from being the aftermath of the first story and new characters who are tied with the previous cast are faced with the consequences, what would be the ACTUAL point of the story? Cause 01 is really supposed to be about Jiro fully becoming human.

Without Jiro the plot would still have the same issue of “these new characters just kinda came out of nowhere” and would serve less of a reason to exist especially WITHOUT any prior characters from the first story involved. The other robots while still having character arcs are also meant to be foils to Jiro and Jiro role in the story is that he’s grown enough that he provides as these robots conscious since they lack a Gemini circuit. And even if it wouldn’t be too far fetched to say a new organization of former DARK members could still be formed after Gills death, Jiro would be FAR less significant in the plot if Gill wasn’t there to meet his demise by his hand.

So 01 is just always going to be flawed no matter how you look at it, whether it’s the anime or manga, because of how the story NEEDS to be. (You can still obviously do a rewrite that puts more foreshadow to 01 and develop the characters obvs, but that’s hard when anime wise there’s nothing I’d drastically change, and I wouldn’t wanna do another Kikaider story JUST to fix 01, when the anime did the first half enough justice)

Some probably pre-teens on here are currently reassuring each other that lying about mundane details in order to make themselves more palatable for people is "not immoral" but good actually and "everyone is doing that" and I just got it.

Getting gaslit with completely stupid little things feels so bad because: people lying to save face, to avoid consequences, etc - that makes sense! It's not nice but it's rational. Getting lied to about inconsequential shit fucks with your brain because it's so random, and it feels like they are rearranging reality.

When ranking a Dragon Ball movie, I use the four Cs method

Listed in order of importance:

Characters (how much I like everybody in the movie + their dynamics. This includes heros and villains)

Coolness (how're the fight scenes? How hyped am I? Am I going to be quoting it until the day I die?)

Concept (Is something new and fun introduced? Or are they just gonna reveal some new space dickhead/Frieza is back and the solution is 'Punch Harder')

Coherency (does it make sense? Does previous DB lore back it up?)

So for instance, a movie that is very cool and fun to see (subjective) with characters I like to watch do stuff but that makes no sense literally at all will rank higher than a movie with a well-put together plot but with characters I've seen do shit all the time

It's why I have a fondness for Bio-Broly even though it sucks. I like when background characters get to fuck around and I think the idea of a fucked up Broly clone rules.

Concept basically measures 'is this just a worse version of a canon arc?' eg Cooler, Android 13, Tree of Might, that one DB movie I can't remember but also ends in the panty wish; else it measures how many times has dragon ball done this before, like 'there is a guy from space and he is strong' like Broly's Return

Oh god, the Tumblr Live tab now seems to be permanently fixed to the bottom of the dashboard (on mobile), alongside the home and messages tabs, even AFTER snoozing it, and the little "New" notification won't go away even when you click on it...as someone who is unavoidably distracted by notifications like that and needs to clear them as quickly as possible, this is fucking awful. Snoozing, closing and reopening the app, clearing the cache, all do nothing to get rid of this.

Has anyone found a fix? Please help, this is going to be so distracting and put me off using the app if I can't get rid of it. Fuck these stupid ass fucking changes for no goddamn reason.
