YES I am!! Sorry friends for dropping off the face of the earth, I got a job and I had to move and it was a lot. But I am less stressed now and I hope I can get back to posting more regularly!! I really missed it (ﾉ^ヮ^)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧

I will never leave tumblr because there is no other place on the internet where I can tell people that 80% of the time when I try to introduce myself to someone in the office that I haven’t met yet I get so focused on smiling and holding eye contact that I forget the part where I actually have to introduce myself (°□°)

I missed you! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ #I hope you all had a good summer!!#mine was very nice even though there was a lot of stress and new things happening #suddenly there were so many adult things in my life that at the end of the day I just sat on the couch and watched decorating shows #I love decorating shows but today they showed this decorating competition and one woman had to decorate her whole bedroom coral #and then I knew it was time to go back #friends I've done so many new things the past few weeks!! I've really underestimated what this new chapter of my life would be like #it's very nice and I'm glad but I've never thought about things like insurance and taxes and parallel parking before #and I'm in a new apartment and everything!! ✧⁺⸜(●′▾‵●)⸝⁺✧#it is a very good apartment but the landlord left us so many of their chairs #this does not sound like a problem but we also owned chairs before #so our chair number is doubled now #the kitchen is full of chairs the balcony is full of chairs #I've hidden two chairs behind the TV but I can still see their chair heads and then I feel bad because they do not deserve this #they should be roaming free #also rode a BIKE #they say you never forget how to ride a bike #but my secret is that I never really knew how to ride one #in Germany all students have to do a bicyle test in fourth grade and I was so bad that my teacher asked me #afterwards if I had tried to confuse the other students #I just said 'uh yes' and then he said ok and I passed with the worst bicyle grade of the whole school #I hade made 8 bicyle mistakes #I hope you're doing well friends!! see you soon!!#have a nice day :)

one thing i’m really realizing about tv-watching lately is that i’m reaching a point where i can’t hold all these shows in my head. it takes so long to have a new season come out that i’ve forgotten all the details of what happened in the previous season unless it’s a show i’ve watched multiple times, which it’s usually not. then i feel like i’m doing wrong by the show by not rewatching the previous season(s) so i can watch the new one as the creators intended it to be watched, with all the emotional threads from the previous season getting picked up and returned to. like, i want those things to HIT the way they’re intended to, but usually they don’t for me in this tv-watching model because it’s been so long that i don’t remember the details of what’s going on or how i was feeling about everything going on on the show where it last left off. i can’t shake the feeling that i need to rewatch the whole show before the new season so it can register with me correctly ... but there are only so many hours in a day, i can’t do that for every single show i watch that drops a new season every year or every couple of years!

tl;dr this is why i am dreaming of majorly cutting down on the amount of tv i watch. my brain just can’t take it in this current format! there are already so many new seasons of shows i loved that i just haven’t seen for this reason. i find myself actively craving, like, limitations to my viewing so i don’t feel like my brain is going to explode. often i daydream of canceling all my streaming services except pbs passport and getting really into antiques road show and this old house.

#being a tv person in the 2020s babe!!!!!!#like -- i loved the first two seasons of servant SO MUCH #i was crazy about it #but then we tried to pick up s3 and i couldn't remember what had happened before #so everything felt off #(i think i might actually start servant again from the beginning since there will be two new seasons waiting for me at this point)#and i never watched recent seasons of you or the flight attendant or harley quinn or russian doll or so many more i could list #just because ... i can't remember!!!!!#currently having a bit of a tough time with his dark materials s3 for this reason #also rewatching 30 rock has me so aware of how much i miss when a show would be part of most of your year #like -- there's the 3/4 month break over the summer #but for most of your year you're getting new content with those characters #man i miss that!#that was really special and i really feel the loss of it #it was so much easier to follow a series that way #anyway this has been my overwhelmed tv ramble!#goodnight!!#dollsome's deep thoughts

everyone here was soooo excited because a national channel was going to bring back this iconic tv series, directed specifically to the youth, from our childhood and adolescence that we are so nostalgic about after 11 years for them to disappoint us all with the trailer because it looks like elite 2.0

#they ruined morangos com açúcar i dont think you guys understand #this was supposed to be a cliché show with bad acting about students and dramas at school not a fucking disappearing mystery show #with parties and sex and whatnot 😭#they're making it release in 10 episode seasons like streaming shows too.... that's not morangos!!!!! anfngngnbg #the vibe is so different that it actually makes no sense why they would try to tie it with the other seasons plot and actors shsjshs #yes morangos had your occasional topics of teenage pregnancy and queerness and all that jazz but it was actually explored well #the way they're making girls kiss and parties happening and everything of those sorts in the new season is literally like any of those #spanish teenage shows with too much sex scenes and it's embarrassing actually.#the essence of our national tv is getting lost because they want to do stuff that 'sells' except morangos never sold because it was trendy #or even good because the acting was honestly not great. it was literally our company and part of our routine all year around almost #it was the show we would arrive from school to watch before dinner every day #we watched them experience the school year at the same time we did and on holidays there was a special summer edition #it was a whole thing that this new version isn't.#it was a novela directed for the youth and not whatever show they're trying to make and i'm so mad #i actually wanted to see it. morangos was special to so many of us everybody knows the songs everybody loves the artists that came from #that generation we all grew up watching it.... literally.#and capitalism strikes again 👍#the auditions were a joke too. they announced auditions for anyone who would like to because another thing about morangos is that it was #a talent factory it gave opportunity to newbie actors and pushed their careers and the new season has a bunch of already renown actors and #actresses and they didn't even care to hide how fake and rigged the public auditons were lol #anyways never building expectations about anything ever again this actually broke my heart man agjshs #i'm gonna mourn this listening to d'zrt 4taste and just girls ✊

this summer i need to cut my hair and buy silly t-shirts and stop being apologetic abt merely existing and do things even though i'm very bad at them and be earnest & bouyant and stop thinking i'm being punished when bad things happen and read books i've never heard of and be in any body of water as much as possible and be less afraid of people crushing my heart when i give them it!!!!! Basically i need to go on walks even when i don't feel like it so every time i do i will be enraptured by the world like i always am 🙏❤

#i booked an appointment to cut my hair & got two books i'd never heard of before and every time i go to the thrift store i look for silly #t-shirts and in regards to all the other stuff i will try very hard. and that at least is something.#ALSO i will watch tv shows from ten years ago and go to concerts without feeling alienated when i'm there and stop feeling like i'm running #in a race of time with other ppl my age that i will never win and be open to new experiences and push myself out of my comfort zone 👍#double also!! i will stop being scared to wear certain clothes bc i think i'll be judged for it and i will be more easygoing with strangers #and i'll stop feeling like i'm slowly wasting away and i will stop feeling like i'm bothering everyone all the time and i will learn arabic #and greek and hindi and freshen up on my spanish & latin. the latter ones i am already busy with <333 #owl app i hate u but u do get me places. oh also if anyone's studying languages atm memrise.com is a pretty good site too!!!#ANYWAY. bucket list 4 the summer 👆#through rain and wind and other hashtag bad weather i WILL swim this summer mark my words ☝️

I’ve recently picked up splatoon again, and I was doing a buncha turf wars to build up my splatfest tee, and I wound up doing a few matches with this guy going by starlord. First match, no connection, but between matches I went over to hang out on Judd’s bench, and they joined me. Had a great time hopping around. Second match, we’re on the same team! great! Between matches we hang out on Judd’s bench again, pure vibin. Third match, and we’re on opposing teams.

I, of course, can’t do very much in this situation. There’s a very aggressive L3 on their team that keeps hunting me down, and I doubt they’ll let me initiate a party, but I don’t wanna kill my buddy. So, my compromise: they’re the only reef-lux user, so with all the determination in my little octopus body I’m gonna avoid killing them.

Half the match passes. I decide to try and make entry into the enemy base, I go up the stairs, and turn to find a reef-lux pointed at me. I raise my sploosh on instinct, but as soon as I register the bow I stop shooting and start going back down the stairs; too late. I’m splatted. ‘Aw,’ I think, ‘oh well, that’s fair.’ The camera, as it does in splatoon, focuses for a moment on my killer. They’re staring at the spot where I died. They enter swim form. They throw themself off the nearest ledge. man, human connection :) good :). I didn’t get to party with them again cause my switch shat itself and disconnected me, but I did send them a friend request which they accepted

#mobbtalks #also in vaguely related splatoon news #I started university and in one of my classes the prof talked for a bit about uhh like himself #just as lie a friendly introduction thing #talked about a book he read over the summer. a tv series he watched. and then a quirky fun fact #…. so he plays splatoon.#specifically he described it as ‘taking a break from apocalyptic media’ <- both the book and tv show were about the apocalypse and also he #said the real world was uh. apocalyptic. so he said splatoon was a breather from all that and I sat there and I thought to myself ‘uh oh. no #it isnt’#and then I spent the rest of the class grappling with the idea that I might have killed him in splatoon #I might have dabbed on him. how do you live with that. how do you look your prof in the eye #anyway. honestly shocked I didn’t kill them at all I went on a few hammer rampages
