hi. i made this confession. and i dont regret it. in one of the reblogs, someone asked me to elaborate on apple,samsung,android i think it speaks for itself. Grian: Apple. Apple is a popular brand and Grian is popular guy. Scott: Nokia. Cause if you throw Scott down the stairs he won't break for some reason. Pearl: Android. Cause sometimes it sets your phone to a dark brightness if you're on it at 5 am. Martyn: LG. Apparently they make phones. I don't know. LG just fits Martyn. Because LG makes a lot of stuff. And Martyn makes a lot of different content- so it works. I think. Scar: Samsung. Explosive personality. feel free to completely diss my opinion. i appreciate it. gonna have to get a new (old) phone soon because although this one functions perfectly, it's getting to the point now where a lot of apps require ios 16.0 minimum and the iphone 7 stopped at 15.8
the current ios version is 18.0
#literally the phone is completely fine it just happens to be 8 years old#they stopped updating the os on it 🫡#i mean to be fair my ipod classic 5th gen is almost 20 at this point and still works#and they stopped making the PARTS for that like a decade ago#might finally get an iphone 8 lads i can feel it in me bones#every android ive ever touched died immediately and all the apple tech ive owned could be a museum piece#think my macbook outlasted 4 of my besties laptops#idk what it is but around me specifically apple tech is like old nokias. shit just will not die

man it's like. impossible to buy a dumb phone now. i had an old LG brick in hs (like. virgin mobile? maybe?) and you could top it up and it cost $.25 to make a call or $.10 to text and otherwise you could just forget it in a drawer and i guess plans like that don't exist anymore and barely either do dumbphones.

So we know Tom isn’t the best gift giver, but thinking abt Tom’s bday present in Bluebeard made me curious. What does Tom buy Draco for his birthday or Christmas? Does Draco have to tell him what to buy lol? Or maybe they just go shopping together. I can see that.
Tom didn't really figure out they were doing gifts until Draco gave him the Gaunt pocketwatch for his 21st. He's fully capable of giving good gifts (not amazing, but good) when he cares to, which is... not often. When he can be bothered giving one of his 'friends' a gift, it's usually a Hogwarts library book with a couple days left in the return window. And they know VERY WELL that they better return it before the due date lest their lord gets a library fine.
Fortunately, with Draco, 1) Tom does care and 2) he would never hear the end of it if he didn't put in thought. Draco is not difficult to buy for because he just wants the latest and greatest/what everyone else is coveting. He's a "i'd rather you not text me at all than text me with green bubbles" kind of guy. Draco is used to frequent presents from his mother and eye wateringly expensive presents from his father, but luckily in this universe he actually has to work for a living and thus understands the value of money.
Tom ain't rich nor is he keen on spending money on random flashy shit, but he has plenty of wealthy friends falling over themselves to potentially win his favour, so supplying Draco with the latest broomsticks/designer clothes/rare gemstones shouldn't be too difficult for him.
