Honestly my head canon for Whitney is that when he feels something that doesn't make him feel dead inside (pc) he freaks out. So his bullying is somehow apn attempt to control pc and an attempt to keep them away. Because if he can't control them, they will eventually leave him, so he needs to get rid of you first. Like the dude is an emotional mess, scared of any good emotions.

In the early concepts of the AU, I actually didn't know what Dead Plate was until I had to research existing stories or whatever about culinary work. Took my sweet time knowing the game and figured yeah I can take inspiration from that! hehe

in case any fellow syzoth artists need it, juan novelletto (character artist who worked on mk1) posted a 3d turnaround and closeups of syzoth's zaterran form on artstation yesterday. it's SO helpful as someone who's struggled to find a solid reference of his zaterran form in the past

the artstation mk1 tag in general has gotten a bunch of uploads in the past 24 hours from people that worked on the game; i don't think every character or skin is on there yet but it's still worth checking out if you don't have the game/don't have everything unlocked, but need reference for certain skins or gears. there's also some environment stuf that's just cool to see lol
