OOC Here but this is something I need to talk about/need you all to be alert of.

I used to share this account and @cater-diamond with an ex-friend of mine. Actually share is a strong word, I created these accounts, and I was the one that managed them. All they did was pop in occasionally to look at the notifications and make one post and one comment during the entirety of us "sharing these account." Last week, they quit both accounts at the drop of a hat. Since then, I found out some things about her, and I stopped being her friend completely.

She attempted harassing one of my non rp accounts, to which I blocked her, and she immediately came back with a new account and began to harass me once more. I took care of that as well immediately, but she is aware of all of all my rp accounts. I changed the password and kicked all other devices off both this account and the epel one, but she still might try to get in or harass me.

Long story short if you see any suspicious activity, out of character posts or harassment please let me know just in case

We didn’t get a S4 announcement, but you know what the absolute best thing about today’s C2E2 Hannibal panel truly was? 

For almost the first time since the show ended, Fannibals showed how profitable Hannibal can still be. 

C2E2 sold out of their remaining VIP ticket packages with guaranteed panel seating within 48 hours of the reunion announcement. Paid PopVerse subscriptions to stream the panel spiked with previously untapped demos (if socials are anything to go by). The largest event hall at C2E2 was overcapacity 45 minutes before the panel; while that’s normal for cons like SDCC and NYCC, in my experience that’s less common at C2E2.

Not to mention Mads and Hugh making bank with autograph and photo-op sales; a huge component of drawing in good talent to table at cons as well, making sure they make enough over the weekend to justify their presence beyond panel appearances. From a talent booking/event management perspective, this is the absolute dream scenario.

So, here’s the super fun part: ReedPop, the company that owns C2E2, also owns/operates New York Comic Con (NYCC), one of the highest-profile US entertainment conventions after San Diego Comic-Con. Now that ReedPop is aware of the viability of Hannibal programming, it would be extremely surprising if RP didn’t attempt a run at a larger, proper reunion panel at NYCC.

Honestly, great job, team. 2024 could very well be the year we get real buzz going again!

i think the thing i'm most disappointed about with riordanverse fandom now versus like 2014 is not only has the fandom not gotten any less racist or queerphobic or ableist (in fact in some regards its gotten worse!) but now it's just boring too. like there's no fandom infrastructure anymore - the community these days is almost entirely source material-driven - and you deviate from canon even slightly people get weird about it. whatever happened to the post-HoO fanon boom. the fandom needs to get weirder again. and self-sufficient. and less offensive.
