I made this fake poster that I'm gonna paste around hot spots in Southern Cali. If enough people contact the representatives then the program will have to be formed & recognized, or someone who has the means to promote it will be elected in their place.
It's honestly pathetic that there isn't a federal program that gives longtime residents in purchasing a home in the place they grew up & crafted their memories. Things have to be changed, with logic & force.

because I vaguely remembered hearing something bad about kavecon as a concert streaming service, I did some googling and found multiple descriptions(/rants) like this
basically I think since stayg seems to be an alternative option that's also available for international fans, it's probably the safer bet, or at the very least you should pay with paypal

In the afterword of roe v. wade being overturned, the Supreme Court has stated that they wish to “correct the error” of prior Supreme Court rulings. The current rulings that they plan to undo include: griswold v. Connecticut, Lawrence v. Texas, and Obergefell v. Hodges, these being the right to contraceptives (birth control, CONDOMS, and the like), the right to same-sex sex, and the right to gay marriage respectively. THESE ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO THE UPHOLDING OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND THROUGH THE PRECEDENT MADE WITH ROE V. WADE BEING OVERTURNED AND THE RIGHT TO MEDICAL PRIVACY BEING TAKEN AWAY, THERE IS SERIOUS DANGER TO ALL OF OUR RIGHTS, I IMPLORE YOU TO DO MORE RESEARCH AS WELL AS MAKE A PLAN FOR IF BEING A MINORITY BECOMES A CRIME IN WHATEVER STATE YOU LIVE IN. Please make a plan, and stay safe, feel free to copy this wherever.

📈 Exclusion of Donald Trump from future ballots under Fourteenth Amendment hit 2,000 signers! https://resist.bot/petitions/PGOQGM
Tumblr media
The Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution, specifically Section 3, disqualifies individuals who engage in insurrection or rebellion against the Constitution from holding office. This provision is applicable to former President Donald Trump due to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election and the subsequent attack on the U.S. Capitol. This disqualification operates independently of criminal proceedings, impeachment, or legislation. Legal scholars William Baude and Michael Stokes Paulsen support this interpretation. It's crucial to uphold the Constitution faithfully, even if it may lead to social unrest. Therefore, it is requested that the name of Donald Trump be excluded from future ballots in accordance with the Fourteenth Amendment. This action will demonstrate a commitment to protecting our constitutional democracy.

I have cursing here.
Roe v. Wade is being overturned. I AM ANGRY. People are Fucking stupid, the option to remove the rights from People because they don't want abortion to occur. No you moron, abortions occur for a reason, such as trauma which inables them or something else such as an illness could be an example. Just because your in the higher up, gives you the option to choose for someone else. No, I'm not for abortion, but I'm not against abortion. People should be given their own option on this circumstance, because one never knows what they went or will go through. Any trauma affects how a person will be, and overturning that case is idiotic.

Coastal county and groups sue to overturn federal approval of New Jersey's 1st offshore wind farm - Times of India
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OCEAN CITY: The government of New Jersey's southernmost county has joined with environmental and fishing industry groups in suing the federal government in a bid to overturn its approval of the state's first offshore wind energy farm. Cape May County and the groups filed a lawsuit Monday in US District Court against two federal agencies - the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management - seeking to reverse their approval of the Ocean Wind I project. Current plans call for construction of the project in waters off southern New Jersey by the Danish wind power company Orsted. The plaintiffs allege that the two agencies did not follow the requirements of nearly a dozen federal laws in approving the project, which would be built off the coast of Atlantic City and Ocean City - two of the state's top tourism destinations. They also claim the agencies did not adequately consider potential harm to the environment and marine life from offshore wind projects. "To implement a massive new program to generate electrical energy by constructing thousands of turbine towers offshore ... and laying hundreds of miles of high-tension electrical cables undersea, the United States has shortcut the statutory and regulatory requirements that were enacted to protect our nation's environmental and natural resources, its industries, and its people," the suit read. Both agencies declined comment Wednesday. Orsted declined comment on the lawsuit, but said it "remains committed to collaboration with local communities, and will continue working to support New Jersey's clean energy targets and economic development goals by bringing good-paying jobs and local investment to the Garden State." The lawsuit is the latest challenge - legal and otherwise - to the nascent offshore wind industry in the Northeast, which is also facing rising costs and supply chain concerns in addition to political and residential opposition to its projects. In New Jersey alone, there have already been numerous lawsuits filed by and against Orsted over the project, as well as challenges by residents groups to various levels of federal and state approval of the project, which would built 98 wind turbines about 15 miles (24 kilometers) off the shoreline. A tax break New Jersey approved in July for Orsted has heightened opposition to the Orsted proposal and offshore wind in general. Earlier this month the company put up a $100 million guarantee that it will build the project by Dec. 2025. Proposed wind farms in other states have run into financial difficulties as well. Last week, New York regulators denied a request by companies for larger subsidies for offshore wind, solar and other projects. Plaintiffs in the lawsuit include the Clean Ocean Action environmental group; the Garden State Seafood Association; the Greater Wildwood Hotel and Motel Association; Lamonica Fine Foods; Lund's Fisheries, and Surfside Seafood Products. #Coastal #county #groups #sue #overturn #federal #approval #Jerseys #1st #offshore #wind #farm #Times #India Coastal county and groups sue to overturn federal approval of New Jersey's 1st offshore wind farm - Times of India https://static.toiimg.com/thumb/msid-104542608,width-1070,height-580,imgsize-692261,resizemode-75,overlay-toi_sw,pt-32,y_pad-40/photo.jpg Read the full article

god media giants like google and twitter putting in inactive account deletion policies is just. horrific. it'd be one thing if it was just inactive empty accounts. but any inactive account being at risk of deletion fills me with dread. we all pass away one day, and so do our surviving relatives, until one day our online legacy gets wiped out because nobody was around to occasionally check our emails, i guess?
google's statement says that its because older accounts are at more risk of being hacked and repurposed into phishing accounts. but theres no reason they couldnt put in a mechanic of, say, locking inactive accounts from use while still keeping the content up. its not like they cant afford the server space. we've been forced away from physical media only for the internet to continue spiralling its way into a digital dark age. its depressing, man.
