The Live Action Avatar the Last Airbender is coming. It's already created conflicting factions with its rumors. And that's okay.

But let's address one thing. Whatever happens or doesn't happen - none of this is the fault of the actors. They were doing what they were told.

I understand that there are issues there too but this is as it is at this point. Netflix made its bed, Netflix will be blamed for its choices. Not the actors.

Too many actors - especially child actors - have been criticized and bullied for merely doing what they were told to do.

Love the show or hate the show. But think before you criticize.

This post got me thinking. Almost added to it but just decided to make my own.

Screaming and whining about the things you hate in fandom (fanart/fic/what-have-you that doesn’t appeal to your taste) will not make said thing go away. It will not stop people from creating it. If anything, they will make more of said thing out of spite.

So, just block the tags, stay in your lane, and move on with your day. Not every piece of art created is created for you. You are not everyone’s audience and that’s okay.

So! i made a little something for this super cool fanfic that got me through my thesis by the brilliant @sugoi-and-spice. Play nice right now must be my favorite fanfic, so here i tried to draw a scene from chapter 9 <3

Fanfic is so weird. It's like... A fanfic writer hands you a charcuterie board overflowing with the best morsels of fine cheese, fruit, and savory crackers with a huge smile. And then pardons themselves to a corner and hopes that perchance someone will turn and offer them a smile or a word of thanks or a little pat on the head. But so often, they are forgotten for the day once you have feasted and moved on. And yet, somehow, they find the courage and fortitude to do it all again next chapter. Because sometimes, someone does offer one of those things, and the joy they get from the few keeps them providing a feast for all.

Your fic is emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes I wonder how different Reader's chan and Tomura relationship would be, if she was less a "popular girl" and more of "wallflower" type cuz our boi is very biased towards her because of that.

And this is an interesting idea! I think if Reader was more of a shy, wallflower, Play Nice would play out more like a typical Yandere!Shigaraki fic. He'd become totally fixated on the idea of "protecting" her from "that garbage society" and he'd probably be a lot sweeter with her since she's "pure" and wouldn't be as headstrong or fight back.

However, I also think he wouldn't grow as a person. In the current Play Nice, he learns pretty quickly that Reader isn't going to take his shit lying down and that he needs to get a little creative with his manipulation. Not to mention that they butt heads and bicker a lot, which ends up revealing their truths and vulnerabilities to each other often.

However with a shy Reader, I think she'd bend to his will almost immediately, while remaining pretty closed off emotionally. She'd do anything and everything to keep him happy and so he wouldn't really see how much his behaviors hurts her, and would be able to indulge his possessive, misogynistic tendencies without challenge.

I also think that due to this, he probably wouldn't develop real feelings for her as fast (if ever). Because he'd never really have to see the real her, just the idolized "good, sweet girl" version that he's able to force her to be. He'd become dependent on her and her affection yes, and he'd definitely be infatuated -- but genuine love for her as a person? I'm not so sure.

At the end of the day, Play Nice Shigaraki starts in a place that is based very much on early series Shigaraki -- a bratty, bitter, and entitled man-child that needs to be seriously put in his place in order to grow up. In the canon series, those humblings come from his failures at the USJ, Hosu, and Kamino. In Play Nice, they come form his failures with Reader-chan. ^_^

been onto some shigaraki content lately, and I have never been so invested in this ONE shiggy fic T_T can u imagine the sheer amount of exploitation this greasy fuck gives u-- then down the road some EXQUISITE character arcs and dialogue are thrown.... I have never been so attached to a body of fiction pls help me ,, i NEVER would have thought that a character can be dissected like this and given so much dimension like???? even the nameless reader like thats an actual struggle they have n its so damn relatableee ITS SOOOOGOOODDD ive legit cried so much to this its SO GOOD work is Play Nice by @sugoi-and-spice!!!
