Valk, I forgot how much I love this fic. I remember the first time I read it was actually before I even started this ask game; I think it might have even been one of the first few Bakugo fics I ever read. I identified with it at the time and I identify with it even more now. It just means a lot to me; thank you for writing it and for being "vulnerable" and open enough to post it.

I tried to make this playlist with a good balance of sad songs (sometimes you just gotta give in and cry) but also songs that give the vibe of "the horrors persist but so do I" because I think that's the real message within this fic. It's important to hold space for all our human emotions. Anyways, I hurt my own feelings with the music in a good way so I hope it fits your wonderful story <3

about Eluvians

there are 2 types of eluvians

June's eluvians

Solas' eluvians

(this is all explained in codex u find in the crossroads (thank u Felassan) thought this could be handy for fic stuff but also bc i think it's funny that Solas had to 1 up June's research lol)

June's eluvians are made from twinned lyrium shards; they only ever act as a long distance portal. One half of the mirror will always only transport you to the other half of that mirror.

the eluvians we travel through in trespasser are likely june's eluvians, they only ever lead their 1 paired eluvian (like how the eluvian in the winter palace always spits you out at the same eluvian in the crossroads)

Solas' eluvians are able to change which portal/eluvian they open to. So the vir revas (the big ass one in the lighthouse) can change which eluvian it opens to, whether to one of solas' or june's it seems. This is why that eluvian in particular is able to link to the one in treviso and hossberg and etc etc

[this is explained as solas "talking the crossroads into making Fade-eluvians that override june's eluvians" and this becomes their pocket network for the rebellion]

the eluvian Morrigan brings to skyhold also seems to be one of Solas'? Since Kieran can redirect where it opens (he changes it from opening to a mirror in the crossroads to a mirror in the fade)

Do you have any idea how many of us have had our fics [both in our caratblr and other fandom spaces] show up on AI mirror sites or been plagiarized by bots? Do you know how many real authors are losing book deals, commissions, or livelihoods because of this exact entitled logic?

AI is not ethical – Generative AI is trained off data sets that include unauthorized, uncredited, scraped work from unpaid artists, writers, poets, journalists, bloggers, fanfic writers—fuck, even therapy forums.

Authors are suing OpenAI for ingesting copyrighted novels without permission.

Fanfic is already vulnerable – We exist in a legal gray area protected only by community ethics and mutual respect. You're breaking both.

You say “I won't post it anywhere, it's just for me.”

Oh, wow, thanks. So you only want to steal quietly. Like that makes it better.

You think the damage only happens when it’s public? WRONG.

Every time you plug an artist’s work into a machine, it gets processed, stored, used for training, forever.

I want to write more to add to the collection of ZoNami works out there, but it's been tough finding time to work on 'em.

That’s a great question, nonnie, but the answer is not very straight forward.

Do they like each other for a potential relationship? Probably not yet. It’s a messy situation especially since neither of them want to be in a relationship at the moment. Could that change? Perhaps, depending on the situation.

The whole degrading and dirtbag!danny persona is during sex most of the time. Do I see Daniel saying such mean things (even if it gets reader off) in front of other people? No absolutely not. He would whisper it in her ear in public fs (there’s a lil fic abt that coming soon 👀) but not loudly in front of anyone, he would never give anyone else the chance, even if it’s his friends, to degrade the reader in a non-sexual manner. He’s dirtbag!danny, not an asshole.

As for the reader specifically, I would say she’s confused. Yes, she gets all her sexual needs satisfied by Daniel and only Daniel. Literally she won’t get that anywhere else, and it’s been proven in the latest fic. However, if the scenarios change from purely sexual to a lil bit of casual domesticity, that would surely leave her confused. Daniel will still be sleazy and messy ofc.

country boy genesis is my truth! like yeah he flourishes in the chaos of midgar and that'll show in my other writing once i actually post more of the bpd!genesis project i'm working on (a near and dear project to my heart after my own recent diagnosis). he loves the chaos of midgar. but at his heart he also years for the countryside, for the orchards, for the materia caves that rest beneath banora. it's where he grew up and while his primary attachment to the area is angeal (and while he can't wait to get away from his parents) he can't help but love the place. it's not just banora, it's any countryside place. this guy loves kalm and the grasslands outside of it too. you won't miss my boy frolicking in the fields, that's for sure

of course they know how to lockpick there's like nothing to do there. if genesis wants in he will get in is all i'm telling you. he's like a cat. he will find a way into that cupboard. oh i love the materia caves underneath banora. the first time i played through crisis core i spent literal hours there just enjoying the music and the ambience. somebody needs to make a materia cave ambience on youtube i'd be on that so fast

i love my smart boy genesis. he can do everything. he's multilingual, he's a scientific genius, he can master materia better than any lab tech and he's intelligent when it comes to literature and literary analysis. i like him a normal amount. i need to think about him more.
