little sneak peak into Verzille’s (still very much under development) lore:

Verzille actually grew up in pretty decent conditions. I’m aware it sounds hard to believe, but trust me on this one.

He only really changed once he’d moved out at 18. Without supervision, he made stupid decisions and, as i’m sure you’re aware, all decisions have consequences, of which always vary in severity depending on just how stupid the decision.

He ended up in some conflicting situations, a few fights, and eventually found himself isolating himself from the world. This self-isolation lasted several years, the only time he left was to pick up deliver to door groceries and the rest.

And, as i’m sure most of you are also extremely familiar with, long periods of isolation can be very harmful.

He eventually resorted to social media, which he’d been avoiding his whole life sheerly by conscious choice, which is where he met Vanté.

What happened from there, you ask? Wel, we wouldn’t want to spoil anything, now would we?

Jiang Yanli: *eagerly showing him Jin Ling and probably thinks WWX and JC managed this so WWX could be at his 100 day celebration, isn’t gonna ask where they can get in trouble*

Jiang Cheng: *thinking exactly the same thing but about Yanli and WWX, showing off his nice new hair pin Yanli got him*

Jin Zixuan: *just happy this is less horrible than he expected*

Lan Wangji: *giving WWX blinks of affection and love*

Wei Wuxian: :)

Nie Mingjue: …but who set Sect Leader Yao on fire?

Lan Xichen: I don’t know, but it’s so much more peaceful now :)

Meng Yao: *appears at NMJ’s elbow, holding hands with NHS and looking pleased* I found that array in Jin Guangshan’s office :) it’ll wear off in about five hours. They’ll be so excited when they realize they can pass him random objects through the shield :)

Nie Huaisang: I set Sect Leader Yao’s robes on fire :)

they put my tiny baby boy to sleep today. they took him away from me he was my whole wide world and more without him I'd have killed myself thrice over in the last 8 years he was my everything he was so good and loving and sometimes so endearingly stupid and headstrong and lazy he loved his little boxies and scratches behind his ears and he let me hold his paw but hated when I did it to his tiny feeties he is the very best boy there ever was and idk how to exist in a world without him in it he used to follow me from room to room like a dumb idiot tiny dog and even when I was so depressed I didn't think I'd get out of bed he was always there always making me feel not alone and now he's gone. those are the last pictures I took of my idiot baby boy in his boxy. I just wanted someone to know that I love him more than the whole wide world and I'll never not miss him and that i love him and love him and love and everywhere I look is a place he isn't anymore and it makes me wanna end it all.
