its not much, but can i offer you some headcanons?

i like to think ichika is transmasc, i dont really know why other than "it feels right to me." ive kinda always seen him as someone who would use he/they or they/he, along with neos relating to miku, music, and stars. probably night/nights, or sing/sings. they're a lesbian, and have a huge huge huge crush on saki (and have since middle school)

saki is also a lesbian. she's a cis girl, but loves experimenting with neo pronouns on top of using she/her. ichika introduced them to her in high school. saki started using sparkle/sparkles, pink/pinks, and star/stars. she shared the concept of neo pronouns with tsukasa and toya, too! it helped both of them to realize more about their own gender identities.

honami is demiflux, bring both demigirl and girlflux. she uses they/she. they're also a lesbian! hona really likes to collect lesbian flags and labels, her favorites are moon lesbian (she sees saki as her sun, and wants to design a star lesbian and comet lesbian flags for ichi and shiho, respectively) and faun lesbian! shes acespec, something they figured out through talking with kanade (whos asexual), but they arent sure where on the spectrum they lie.

shiho is a transneutral, nonbinary, xenogender lesbian, and uses they/xe pronouns. xe wants to experiment with other neo pronouns also, saki suggested xe tries some over text with her to see how xe feels about them, and so xe has started trying out star/stars as well! shiho is demigrayromantic and demiaegosexual. saki's the first person they ever crushed on, and along wifh her, ichi and hona are the only people theyve ever crushed on!

ichika and shiho are both autistic. they like to call themselves "boyfriends" when together, and then use "boyfriend" for ichi and "partner" for shiho when apart. they both have special interests in music, and, thanks to ichi, shiho has started hyperfixating on vocaloid as well! saki and honami both like to use the term "girlfriend," but hona prefers to use "partner" above anything else. saki has multiple chronic illnesses, and uses a wheelchair to get around on harder days, although she usually uses crutches. sometimes ichi and shiho compete to be the one to push saki's chair (she thinks its charming)

also also!! im so super excited for shiho 5!!! the announcement just came out i think, at least i just saw it today! it seems so so cool, the song is composed by eve!!!

[NEWS] Oct Update + Future Plans!

Hello, Happy October! We apologize for being quiet for the past 2 weeks. We had originally intended to work on the goals for the month of October; however, as we advanced, we found it difficult due to our circumstances. Therefore, we would like to give an update about our current situation and our future plans.

What's Happening?

As you may know, H9O6 is a two-person team. Hinata Yoyo, the project lead of MY DEAR☆LOVE, will be relocating to Japan in two weeks. As a result, we have been busy with preparation which has slowed our development significantly, and unfortunately we expect more delays until Hinata Yoyo has settled down in Japan.

What are the impacts?

The greatest impact is that there will be a significant delay in game development since the team will have to work in different time zones. Other consequences include slow updates, late responses and etc. Nonetheless, we have our future plan mapped out for the final demo release:

October Since Hinata Yoyo is leaving in 2 weeks, we are quite occupied with preparation. We will mainly work on sprites and GUI revamp for the final demo. In addition, we will also try to polish the writing and add contents for stat-raising simulation since the production of the current demo was rushed. There won't be much work on sound & music however we'll clean up the pieces. As for programming, we'll review the current system and design a better construction.

This particular creature is a guardian that fell in love with their charge: the god of cold mornings and frost. For eons they served under their rule, battling the fiercest enemies to protect their god and earning their fair share of scars.

But when the time came to profess their love, they found that they were never more than an angel to the them. Never more than something good and kind and sweet. Never an equal.

Immediately after that, the beast was sent out of the heavens on assignment to guard a band of travelling humans on their quest to save their kingdom. A job for the lowest-ranking heavenskeep.

One of such humans was a cleric of that same frost god, who has no idea of the complications. They are just excited that their deity had sent their finest soldier to help the party on their quest. So excited, in fact, that they won't stop retelling the story. The guardian tries to be patient and responsible, and to keep their mouth shut each time the inaccurate story is told, but it is difficult work on a broken heart. Difficult work that must be kept.

After all, the cleric is just a little sunshine character full of hopes and dreams. It would be a shame if they found out that the answer to their prayers was actually garbage the god had thrown out.

Zine Mod Applications Are Now Open!

Hello! Long time no see! For anyone who has been following this project, it's probably obvious that our publicly set deadlines have long passed with no news being posted. This is due to a combination of circumstances that have interfered with the current mod team's ability to keep up with our responsibilities and while we tried to pull through on our own for awhile, we've decided the best course of action at this point would be to look for some extra hands so we can get this thing finished! So we're opening up applications for staff!

The things we're looking for help with are as follows, listed in order of priority:

High Priority

Assistance with communication with members, record keeping, and behind-the-scenes organization. This would entail helping the current staff with contacting participants for deadlines and check ins and answering their questions as needed. You would also be updating spreadsheets as people are contacted!

Graphic design and image-editting help for creating contributor announcements, formatting pages for participants with written submissions, and helping with text-heavy pages of the zine.

Medium Priority

Art assistance, primarily helping one of the current mods with the artwork for the cover page, title page, and back cover, however art being incorporated into other pages would be welcome, but not expected. They may also choose to work with mods designing contributor announcements. If you're willing to help us out with art, we ask that you be able to use .psd files for convenience!

Management of the twitter and tumblr accounts, primarily being around to post announcements, reply to questions, and generally keep people outside the discord in-the-loop on important things!

Low Priority

Zine assembly using Affinity Publisher. This is something the current team is likely fully able to manage on our own, however if someone was interested in helping, we wouldn't say no! Just be aware that Affinity Publisher requires a one-time $60 payment and we do not expect mod applicants to buy a whole new program for us!

Applicants for mods must be at least 16 to apply! Our current hard deadline is September 15th with a plan to post the zine on October 4th, so keep that timeline in mind when assessing your availability, though we set a pretty distant deadline in the hopes of keeping things from getting too stressful! Accepted mods will also be welcome to make their own submissions to the zine beyond the work they put in as a mod if they so choose, but that's in no way required or expected!

Any questions can be asked here on this blog or dmed to @oneformercy if you prefer a private answer! We'll be keeping this form open until we feel we have enough of a team to get this zine finished, so there is no deadline, but we recommend applying ASAP if you're interested.
