Category One: Possibility
(Click for better resolution) My first piece of Pacrim fanart!
Came up with the idea that some of the first kaiju weren't as complex and weren't always effective the first time around...i.e. were not made into clones later on for Cat 4-5. They were just too silly. Too much little guy. Too fun.
Thus, sea isopod kaiju.

The Power Rangers film (2017 specifically) still bothers me for one reason and one reason alone.
1993
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers begins. We get this beauty.
2013
Director Guillermo del Toro creates Pacific Rim. We get this beauty.
2017
A Power Rangers blockbuster film is made. They basically have a perfect example of a CG Megazord from 2013. So they create their magnum opus.
... I legit have no idea how you shit the bed this hard.

A collection of facts:
David Tennant was a super fan of the Fifth Doctor, played by Peter Davison
He met Davison’s daughter Georgia on Doctor Who and married her
Georgia and David have 5 kids including actor Ty Tennant of House of the Dragon fame
Ncuti is a fan of Ten, played by David Tennant
British actors all tend to wind up on Doctor Who eventually
A logical conclusion:
Ty Tennant and Ncuti Gatwa have the opportunity to be fucking hilarious.

More mecha Monty for the soul :)
Fnaf mecha au
Y/n is also a janitor in this au, and is generally tasked with cleaning the exterior of the mechs.
MNT-3, or 'Monty,' has a bully for a pilot, and the mech really doesn't like him.
I'm thinking Monty ends up rejecting the pilot and the company spends days trying to hire a new pilot, all of whom are ejected from Monty's cockpit, until eventually, he puts in a request that has management reeling.
The only pilot MNT-3 wants as his partner is none other than the nobody cleaner who has no piloting experience whatsoever.

Being hyperfixated on Pacific Rim in this year of our Lord 2024 is so damn hard because I find cool art, and I'm like YIPPIE content!! and then it was posted in 2013.

So I think we most of us know that the kaiju of Pacific Rim are metaphors/allegories/whathaveyou for hurricanes made worse by climate change - that's why Raleigh talks about "fighting the hurricane" and why they use a category system based on the hurricane category system used in the US.
Now the thing about hurricanes is, they're a kind of storm. And there are many, many kinds of storms. And they're not all bad. There are the soft springtime thunderstorms. There are the snowstorms that can be dangerous if you aren't careful or have bad luck, but for the most part can be lived with.
Therefore I believe it only makes sense if there are - or can be - many kinds of kaiju. Kaiju that can be lived with. Kaiju that are in some way beneficial. Maybe they're out there - maybe we just haven't seen them.
Guillermo Del Toro's concept of the "Precursors" actually being humanity from a far distant future could support the idea that kaiju are descended and modified from something that lives here already, if you want to incorporate that into your headcanon.
