Percy Jackson and Adrien Agreste were related?

Eyes the color of water, from the deepest depths of the ocean, to the crystalline lakes, to the frothy seafoam; eyes the color of life, from the rich greens of leaves, to the emerald gems beneath the ground, to the rich browns of woods; eyes that shift to every imaginable color on Earth like a kaleidoscope - everchanging and enchanting; these eyes that look down upon the Earth, upon her.

She remembered those eyes on her, the most beautiful sight she's ever seen. More beautiful than those curves, those lips, those legs, that face. Those eyes were the siren call that dragged her down, down, down into their grasp. Falling for those eyes. It was a forbidden thing: the tantalizing fruit always tempting her to taste.

Oh, and taste divine they did, dripping down her chin as she gave into those eyes’ seductions. She was Eve, and the eyes were the Devil, but even the Devil was once an angel - beautiful and divine. Those eyes could never have belonged to Hell, but still, they brought her to her own personal Hell, just as they ascended her to Heaven.

She fell harder than she thought possible. Forgetting about him. Forgetting about everything except Her. But like all good things, they must end. Céline knew this. She knew just as God left Jesus to His own path, helping in the indirect ways only He could, that the divine and mortal world were meant to stay separate, but still her heart longed for what it could not have.

Thus, Céline, the lover of the Goddess Venus, went back to only being known as ‘wife’ to Athanase Agreste and ‘mother’ to her two year old son Donatien. Still, she was left a reminder of Her love in her unborn child, the child of a Goddess and a mortal.

The Agreste patriarch never did suspect her of infidelity, and when her daughter was born, she was named Estelle Agreste, the daughter of Athanase and Céline Agreste.

Notes:

Yep! This is a Percy Jackson and Miraculous Ladybug crossover idea that I've started where Estelle is not only the daughter of Venus but part of the Agreste family (even if not by blood). Estelle also happens to be Percy's maternal grandmother. Well, I'm sure Percy will never find out, and definitely won't have an unforeseen trip to France to visit his maternal side of the family in the future *wink* *wink*.

Also, I purposely capitalized "Her" for Venus since it is from Céline's perspective, and she not only loves Venus but she worships her.

Also, interestingly enough, Céline comes from the Roman name Celelius, which means “heaven” in latin.

BTW, I got Donatien and Ananase’s names from Adrien's full name (on fandom): Adrien Émile Gabriel Donatien Athanase Agreste. Which has very Greek/Roman names in it.

I’m in the middle of rewriting Miraculous Ladybug cuz it had such potential as a concept but it was squandered (mostly because of Thomas Astruc) and I’m not exactly ready to share my story notes yet (still working on expanding on story bits) but I have worked out the main Miraculous powers, so here, check it out!

Miraculous Powers

- some of them need reworking, some are just too similar to others or are too overpowered, some are underpowered, they need to be balanced among their sets

- I like the idea of one set of Miraculous being the Chinese Zodiac, but having those in the same set as the primary Miraculous just feels a bit messy. What do the primary Miraculous represent in relation to the Chinese Zodiac ones? It’s unclear, so we’re changing it.

- Master Fu can still be the old guardian with the box, but let’s change things up a little bit. Maybe since Fu was a runaway from the Order of Guardians, he’s got a limited amount of Miraculous with him. In his escape from the temple he took the Ladybug, Black Cat, Bee, Fox, Turtle, Peacock, and Butterfly with him.

- How do we introduce the Chinese Zodiac box then? Do we have Fu find it due to his guilt over how he left the Order? Or do we have Gabriel Agreste find them in his quest to gain more power? That way, the heroes can steal them back, and learn about them while their enemy already has much more knowledge about them.

- The Ladybug represents good fortune, so its power is creation. You can get exactly what you need the moment you need it, and you can sense how to put it to good use. The Black Cat represents misfortune, so its power is destruction. A single touch is enough to rot something away entirely, and so must be used extremely carefully. Marinette needs a bit more luck in her life, so she’s paired with the Ladybug. Adrien is usually feeling trapped in his life, so he needs the power to break out if necessary, that’s why he’s paired with the Black Cat. Combining their powers of Creation and Destruction gives one power over life and death, making them like a god.

- Since it’s magic jewelry, it cannot be thrown away once it’s chosen a wielder, it’ll just return like Percy Jackson’s sword, Riptide, always appearing nearby or on their person. If it’s stolen, then it’ll become inactive unless it chooses to activate, choosing a new wielder. The Kwami are just kinda along for the ride, they are personifications of the power in the jewelry and the associations of what it’s based on, but they can’t go against what the jewelry does.

- Ladybug:

- Associations: Good Luck, protection, healing, grace

- Powers: Creation, with “Lucky Charm” they can summon any item they need the moment they need it; enhanced flexibility, strength, speed, agility, and perception.

- Weapon: Magic yo-yo

- Jewelry: Earrings

- Black Cat:

- Associations: Bad Luck, mischief, fear, death

- Powers: Destruction, with “Cataclysm” they can destroy any object no matter its size or mass with a single touch; enhanced flexibility, strength, speed, agility, and perception.

Belladonna has been trough a lot in her lifetime, so what is a little more excitement. Moving to Gotham was not what she was expecting, but it is welcome. She feels more at home there, but she finds out that the city is sentient and an eldritch horror. There are many timeline inconsistencies, bad people, and weird tacos. So throw Belladonna, a sentient city, timeline inconsistencies, and an unknowing cryptid together and you get absolute fucking chaos. A story that is actually filled with plot and a lot of trauma for a character. It turns into a beautiful masterpiece known as fanfiction. This is my first book on AO3 but I'm trying so please be nice. I RANT ABT KOTLC FOR TOO LONG PART I

ok so, KotLC worldbuilding is bad, even nearing offensive at times (implied pro-lifeness, match lists more likely than not being heteronormativity, etc) and leaves more questions than answers, leaving a fandom to fill in the blanks, and the plot is rather generic.

BUT

god dammit i don't care when the characters are so damn good (most of the time).

Your plot and worldbuilding can be as confusing as you want, to me all that matters is how well-written your characters are and Shannon Messenger nails that tbh. All character/character related tropes you can find in the characters are done 100x better than most kids media.

Examples: Sophie is a chosen one trope (more similar to Percy Jackson (who's probably a better version of this trope let's be real here) than Harry Potter, fight me), but what makes her better than most of them are her character interactions. Especially with Keefe, Fitz, Marella (early books esp the first one), Dex, tbh everyone.

Another solid example is Keefe, who falls into the "humor to cover up trauma," (blonde love interest to an oblivious chosen one yet competent, idiot) trope as seen in Miraculous Ladybug (also let's pray Thomas Astruc doesn't have Tumblr im abt to throw so much shade at this series) with Adrien Agreste. What makes Keefe more interesting is his overall struggles. It takes the trope done in MLB and makes it better, since we get to see more of Keefe's struggles, unlike in MLB, (though i like the show mostly unironically) where Adrien wasn't the main focus, so we saw less.

But Keefe isn't the main focus, either, right? Well this is where Unlocked comes in.

I have mixed feelings on Unlocked. On the one hand, it was really heartbreaking and tragic. But also, I'm kinda salty that there WASNT a bonding moment between Keefe and Grady, since their abilities are similar (yeah i'll get to that later don't you worry). But we get to see things from Keefe's perspective, which I'm pretty sure we don't get in MLB, making Keefe

Where this makes him a male lead/deurtagonist, and just as important as Sophie.

But where the series gets there characters right is the supporting cast

yes this is the part where I rant about Marella, Edaline, Tam, and Grady for 10 paragraphs, but i'll do that in a different post because i think i have too much to say :)
