anyway have any of you ever thought about how Jason was raised by wolves and then an army and told he had to be the best so he became the best, made himself the best using his experiences and power, who has to prove himself time and time again to the people who made him, and then he meets Percy Jackson who, with almost none of Jason’s training, without having been raised and molded into a leader, is better than him
Percy Jackson, who had a childhood, who had a mom, who seems all the better for it. Jason can finish his quests and missions and get a pat on the back and congratulations for bringing honor to the Legion and nothing else because that’s what’s expected of him, while Percy gets hugs and cookies and tears of relief and so much love because people had been hoping he’d succeed, not because it meant victory, but because it meant he'd live.
all of the things Jason’s gone through to make him that perfect leader and soldier feel like they were all for nothing because he looks at Percy Jackson and sees that perfect leader and soldier and none of the things that made Jason good are what made him great

Thinking about how children of Poseidon will always be stronger, have more range than any other big three child.
Like Zeus's domain is mainly in the sky. He's about order. Law. Lightning. Wind. He gets storms as a side product of lightning and wind. But he has control over those; he can make them gentle just as he can make them destructive.
Hades is the dead. His domain is over souls, over the minerals and riches and the fallen mortals, monsters and everything that lies in rest in the earth. He's all about justice for the dead. He doesn't show off his power nearly as much as his brothers because he's more of a judge and overseer than a raging, wrathful god.
But Poseidon? Yes, his domain is the sea but he is so much more. He is also the storm bringer and the earthshaker. He has chaotic power over his brother's primary domains. You'd think that Zeus would be the storm bringer cause he has lightning? No. It's Poseidon. You'd think that Hades would be the earthshaker because the depth of the earth and the underworld is his domain. No. Its Poseidon. And those particular powers that Poseidon has in his brother's domains are not neutral or calm. They are powers of destruction and deadly force. It is not in a storm's nature to be gentle, nor is it in a earthquakes nature to be gentle. Poseidon's powers are predisposed to chaos. (Chaos, the strongest and first of the primordial gods).
And then on top of that, Poseidon has domain over the sea. The sea, which we know even less than our own solar system. Everything from the depth of the sea to the shallow waters. The waves, the creatures within, the monsters within. They're all Poseidon's.
What did Percy say in tlo again? "Kronos knows Poseidon can tip the scales against Typhon?"
Not Zeus, not Hades, not any of the other Olympians or gods. Poseidon.
Yeah.
Poseidon is the strongest Olympian god, and Percy is the strongest demigod and it's not even close.

Tartarus had its own rules. Fire was drinkable. The ground was the body of a dark god. The air was acid, and demigods could be turned into smokey corpses. Compared to that, the idea of controlling poisons was… easy. Percy glared at the poisonous lake around him. He focused, and reached with the part of his mind that allowed him to control water. The poisonous tide stopped. The fumes blew away from him and back towards the goddess. The lake of poison rolled toward her in tiny waves and rivulets. Akhlys took a hesitant step back. “What is this?!” She looked alarmed, scared even. Percy thought it was a good look on her. “Poison,” Percy snarled at her. “That’s your specialty, right?”

The Olympian gods have a history of making monumentally bad decisions and not learning from their mistakes. Of course that'll come back to bite them, and everyone seems to think Percy will be the one doing the biting. Thing is, he's tired and just wants to live a normal life. Too bad literally no one believes him except his friends, and now he has to survive the consequences of yet another one those monumentally bad decisions. AKA: Tartarus nearly destroyed Percy the first time, in more ways than one. It's worse the second time. So much worse. And this time, he has no way out. He desperately clings to the one thing he knows without a doubt: 'I have to stay alive for when Annabeth comes for me'. Because she will.

Percy Jackson Headcanons
• Probably likes Voltron: Legendary Defender (not me projecting)
• Thinks Annabeth is THE prettiest girl on earth, even better than Aphrodite—he'd never say that for obvious reasons tho
• He and Will probably go surfing sometimes
• He once woke up Annabeth at 1:00am just to go swimming (like that tiktok: “Babe, it's midnight.” “But I want cake.” That but swimming)
• Dyslexia and ADHD most likely.
• Can't spell schnitzel or restaurant
• Once fist fought an eel. In Percy's defence: “He was talking shit!”
• Translates anything the marine life say on water documentaries. Once a clownfish said a slur and Percy's face was just: 😨
• Loves to make sea puns just to piss Annabeth off
• Got the three Ds. Dirty Minded, Dirty Mouthed, and Dumbass
• Oblivious to flirting but can spot a burnt out demigod from a mile away
• bisexual. Bi4Bi with Annabeth
• Was actually so confused when Nico admitted his crush on him. Like he didn't care if he moved on, but was just: “I'm sorry. YOU like ME?.... Do you have brain damage, genuine question—?”
• Can recite the entire Guns and Ships and Cabinet Battle #1 Hamilton musical lyrics because Annabeth forced him to watch it with her multiple times
• M-A-M-A-B-O-Y M-A-M-A-B-O-Y! Mama's Boy! Mama's Boy!
• LOVES Avatar Way of the water. Because: 1) Blue people 2) WATER 3) the animals there are so cool 4) THE SOUNDTRACK OMFG
• His favourite Avatar character is Spider and Lo'ak. Cried during Neteyam's death (same buddy)
• Once accidentally electrocuted Jason. (he splashed water on him while he was showing off his lightning or something)
• he was so sorry, Jason was like: “Its Fiiiinnnnneee~ Don't worry.”
• He hates pineapples on pizza.
• Fell out of a tree and landed on Nico once.
• Has a random bracelet a younger (10-11) demigod made him and never takes it off
• Best big brother figure
• Also a little shit
THAT'S ALL. I LOVE PERCY TOO MUCH Y'ALL!1!!1!1

#2 What if...
Percy Jackson was reborn as Danny Phantom, then was reborn into the DC Universe?
The Prophecy of the Universe:
The Hero of Olympus.
The Hero all pure hearted trust.
Warrior Prince of the realm of death.
Follow the dimension to the left
To the Hero thrice reborn.
He must live, or all will be scorned.
Life and Death forever in his hands.
He’ll lead us to peaceful lands,
Or all of existence will fall
If all fail to hear his call.
Note:
This is a prophecy I came up with for a Percy Jackson × Danny Phantom × DC crossover idea I have.
I actually dreamt about this crossover last night 😅
Percy Jackson dies and is later reborn as Danny Fenton. Danny Fenton of course dies and is reborn as Danny Phantom .
Here Kronos was reborn as Clockwork, who will grow fond of his grandson, and when Danny dies once again at the hands of his parents Clockwork will interfere and send the boy's core to be reborn again in the DC universe (and hence be thrice reborn). Of course, this sends ripples across time, and time well, time tends to hold onto the past as well as the present and future, and the reborn boy will eventually remember and his powers will come back to him. Still, the fate of the world always falls to the Hero's shoulders.
First - Previous - Next "What if...?"

Okay, so I was reading TLO again, and not only did Percy create a hurricane, he’s not even standing in the lake at the time. He and Hyperion had already moved back to land at the time, he’s just concentrating on drawing from the nearby water for strength against a Titan. This is what leads him to be standing in the center of a hurricane, with winds so strong a Titan is being pushed back; he also makes lightning flicker in the hurricane, truly drawing on the Stormbringer aspect, a power he has never used before. I am going nuts over the fact that they were on land at the time
THIS JUST CONFIRMS THAT HE CAN SUMMON WATER WHEREVER HE WANTS TO FJSJDBWJDBEISH percy “i don’t need an ocean” jackson. so true king!!!!!!!

how much do the demigods really know about Percy?
Frank and Hazel first knew him as just a guy who showed up with a goddess on his back. everything he does from that point onward is equally bizarre, and certainly impressive, but perhaps not exactly legend-worthy. by the time they’ve won the battle against Polybotes at New Rome, their experience with him confirms he’s a badass, but the hints and jokes he drops about his past can’t all be real, right?
Jason, Leo, and Piper would have been showered in stories at Camp Half-Blood. did you know, Percy fought and killed a Kindly One and the Minotaur before he even got to Camp the first time? did you know, he was the first one on our side to suspect Kronos was rising? did you know, he revealed who poisoned Thalia’s Tree? did you know, he and Annabeth held the sky? did you know he crashed his own funeral? did you know he made a hurricane?
did you know, did you know, did you know?
but how many of Percy’s stories do the campers really know? what did Annabeth and Percy keep to themselves in their retellings? do they know Luke forced Percy to fight to the death in an arena? were they told Percy actively chose to be the subject of the prophecy to protect Nico, who almost certainly hated him at that point? do they know Percy was the reason Mount Saint Helens erupted? do they know he fought Hades and his army, and won?
the campers all think Percy is a legend, but when they find out there’s more? that’s when they start to think of him as a god.

Thinking about how Tartarus made Percy and Annabeth the worst versions of themselves. Lemme explain.
Percy stops holding back. He starts moving and fighting with his full strength and when his enemies die too easily he feels regret that they didn't suffer more (Arachane). He manipulates Bob into killing his own brother. He tries to kill a goddess with her domain in an incredibly painful way - comparable to torture. He stops believing that he can survive - he succums to the pain and almost gives up (not quite suicide but along those lines imo). He scares Annabeth.
Annabeth is a bit more subtle. She loses her ability to be understanding and compassionate. She laughs when Percy tried to tall about Tartarus triggering his Gabe trauma. She intentionally makes Percy uncomfortable/nervous "keeping him on his toes" WHILE THEYRE IN HELL by mentionining Rachel. She becomes scared of her own boyfriend, who she has grown up beside, and restricts his use of his own powers (that hes using to save both their lives), inadvertently making him think he's monstrous.
And then Rick brushes over these issues and never really has Percy and Annabeth address them. Not in BoO, not in cotg from what I've seen. 😑

i'd just looooove it if we saw percy take down a monster in record time. no sword. just a blur of wind as he whips through the air. and hundred of gallons of water directly behind. because he is poseidon's kid. he is the son of the sea god. let him be one with the water. and kick ass while doing it.

THE FINALE HELLO?!?
What I just watched lived up to all my hopes and dreams.
Percy vs Ares fight was amazing. Watching this twelve year old boy control the ocean and beat the *God of War* in a fight was as amazing as I’d imagined it to be when I first read the books.
The whole “Luke recruiting Percy” thing somehow hurt more than in the books. I think it was because in the books, Luke had already decided Percy couldn’t be swayed. The betrayal was clean, no trying to get Percy to betray the gods, just a murder attempt and some trying to rationalize his betrayal. But in the show, he’s actively telling Percy that he’s a friend. Making excellent points as to why he’s going against the gods. “They’re bad parents.” I WAS IN TEARS.
Because yes, the gods are terrible parents. And yes if it weren’t for Kronos I would root for Luke.
Also, Annabeth witnessing Luke’s betrayal is HEARTBREAKING. HELLO? You just showed a little girl that her brother figure, THE PERSON SHE’S KNOWN THE LONGEST, is willing to *murder* her friend and also yk betray the gods.
Anyways, the blue pancakes were iconic at the end. And Gabe turning himself to stone is actually really on point, I love that solution. Sally is a queen, but divorce is definitely the more reasonable option in the show. In the books murder was justified.
I want a season two confirmation *yesterday* 👏👏

I may get so much hate for this but I need to say it.
Percabeth ended in Tartarus.
Hear me out. So far they were cute and lovely (maybe aside from first book where Annabeth was unnecessarily mean to Percy) so for me it would be an endgame. Even if I were a little concerned about the fact that their feelings might be based on mutual trust in eachother and their abilities and not necessarily love or some other positive emotions/feelings that are not connected to the fact that they were constantly fighting for their life together (something like relationships of convenience if you know what I mean).
So it was all fine until the Tartarus part.
I admit it was straining for both of them physically, emotionally and mentally. They went through so much that it still amazes me that they were ready to continue the quest. But in Tartarus they also reached their breaking point for example Percy's fight with Achlys. This is the part that bothers me the most. To protect himself and Annabeth (but mostly her, let's be real) he was fighting goddess of misery while being hurt, tired, hungry and thirsty. He gave his everything to make sure that they'll stay alive and I feel like Annabeth didn't appreciate it as she should. I get it she was scared of him, was overwhelmed from everything. I really do. But after it she made him promise to never again take control over poison DURING WAR. It might have been some slip or bad choice of words on her part but the fact that she didn't stop to think about it later really bothers me.
Girl you're in middle of war and hell and yet you make your protector promise to not use a power that may save ton of lifes. Why didn't she make him promise to not use it unless to protect himself or someone else? Why take away from him one of the means of protection?
And the worst of it is fact that Percy kept his promise during fight with Polybotes or while freeing (dunno if it's a right word) infected Nymphs. Those were situations in which his and other people's life were in danger and yet he consciously chooses death to breaking his promise.
Such thoughtlessness from Annabeth is what broke this ship for me. She ignored that he saved her (and it's somehow valid when I think under how much stress she was), made him make a promise that endangered him and other people AND later on while talking with Piper (who she knows didn't have high or positive opinion on Percy) agreed that he need to be controlled.
Just thinking about it makes me sick and I can't look at them (at her) the same. If they at least at some point came back to this promise and reworded it or something then it would be different. But they didn't. And it hurts.
If you don't agree with my opinion and want to discuss it or anything please stay respectful💜
Have a nice day everyone
