Physics question as well here -- A straight wire (I1) is next to a looped wire (I2). I1 is 20 times I2. The magnetic field in the center of the loop is zero. The radius is 1.3 cm. What is the distance from the wire to teh center of the loop?

Halu! It's me again:
How does gravity affects light?
Yo!! I'll try to make this as simple as possible.
Photons (light particles) are massless, so you'd think that gravity doesn't affect them -- and this is actually kind of true, because when you plug the number 0 for m into the formula for gravitational force, you get 0. So it's not really the gravity itself that interacts with the photons, but it's actually the effect of gravity on space-time that causes the light to look like it's moving around.
When you have an object with a lot of mass like a star or a planet or something, the space-time around it is bending, kind of like when you sit on a trampoline and it sinks under your butt. This is because of the gravitational force of the object. Now, photons always travel along specific paths called geodesics (explained in old man Einstein's theory of general relativity), aka the shortest possible path between point A and point B. Sometimes, because of the warped space-time around large objects, the shortest path is a curve. So when photons take this path, the light warps. You can see how light is affected by black holes, too, but the light isn't sucked in because it's affected by gravitational force -- it's the space-time that's being warped by the black hole, and the photons are just following along.

it’s an important part of learning to make mistakes, and I want to be corrected as much as possible because there’s nothing to be ashamed of in earnestly trying and I’ll be better for it in the long run <- near tears, shaking, light headed

ok maybe those posts about how kids these days can't use computers are generalising a little bit but acting like there's no truth to them is flat out wrong. ive experienced the horrors (teenagers unable to do basic computer tasks)

nothing makes me feel more pathetic than when I’m trying to do a basic as fuck sum in my head and my brain is giving me absolutely nothing
not a single gear moving up there. Brain just clocks out when numbers are involved and trying to force it to figure out even the simplest calculations physically feels excruciating and exhausting
meanwhile my dad and my brother will be looking at me like I’m some alien experiment bc how can I be so stupid that I can’t do this shit in my head?
#I’ve always suspected I’ve got some degree of dyscalculia bc there are other related issues I have in that area#I used to slam my head on the table in primary school in frustration and cry when I couldn’t get my brain to figure things out#my exams and jotter margins were peppered with loads of tiny dot marks from where I would have to physically make a mark to count#and then count up how many marks I’d made to do the multiplication or whatever. Like 6x7 I would do six sets of seven dots and count them#I can’t do it in my head and school made me feel like an absolute moron for it but no-one ever suggested I might have an issue there#I couldn’t memorise times tables beyond like 2 and 5 and 10 consistently. Even 4 wouldn’t stick somehow#and 6 7 and 8 made me cry from how much I struggled with them. I still can’t remember them#I had a maths tutor in high school for my last year and every week he would have to teach me things again bc it wouldn’t stay in my head#My dad would shout at me when I was asking for help at maths homework bc he somehow thought shouting the sum at me would make me Get it#uncle would throw questions at me and my bro to figure out and my brother would get it instantly and I would be sat there struggling#and then the inevitable impatient sound of a disbelieving ā€˜come on!!’ would follow and I’d feel worse bc im expected to do it and I couldnt#there’s a home video of me trying to figure out the difference between the years 1982 and 1987 and the pause while the gears struggle#ton work out the number before saying it is agonising to listen to bc I am genuinely taking that long to do it

turns out that before we could even remember things our father has been giving us alcohol. letting us drink beer as a baby and making us go to sleep with wine and bread
on one hand, our alcohol tolerance must be higher than average then, but on the other it just feels.. wrong. and i'm not exactly sure that what he said on our 12th birthday was a joke anymore

ā€œI went to a party Sunday night and spent half of the party working on homework. The background noise of everyone having fun was enough to dial me into focus mode.ā€
ā€œI’ve been pretty lethargic today, so that’s probably a sign I’m overstimulated and need rest. But I don’t wanna rest! Urgh.ā€
ā€œI guess I could do some brain teasers or algorithm puzzles.ā€

I was not built to work with children I was not built to have children. "oh but you're so good with kids" wrong. I can talk to them like they're people and I can be moderately patient for like 30 minutes at a time. after that I start taking psychic damage.
