People keep taking the 'debt you owe for existing' line out of context to say Poseidon doesn't care about Percy. As if it wasn't Poseidon repeating Zeus's words and Poseidon who told Percy he didn't want him to have to get those silly letters, and Poseidon who talked Zeus down to 3 letters, and Poseidon who threatened to destroy Percy's school if it wasn't up to snuff.
