Renni's attack on the memorial ceremony didn't need to be a part of some larger plot orchestrated by Ambessa. One of the reoccurring ideas in season 1 was that Piltover constantly underestimated and dehumanized their counterparts in Zaun. It was so second nature to the Piltovan cast that they couldn't see the direct line of their actions and consequences that lead to their situation.

Renni's attack is just another one of those consequences, because Jayce killed her son, didn't try to save him, walked away from his body, and didn't even offer Renni an apology. Of course Renni was going to try to kill him, she's a dangerous chembaron who's lost her factory and her child. It's genuinely insane to think no one thought this was a possibility, but it perfectly tracks with Piltover. The Piltovan cast constantly centers their own feelings and perspectives over their counterparts in Zaun.

"How could they do this at a memoria?!?", because Zaunites like Renni are grieving too. Her son didn't get any dignity when he died (and neither did Silco), so why should Piltover? Throwing Ambessa in as the secret puppet master just flattens the whole conflict because suddenly this natural progression in hostilities and critical failures in understanding are sidestepped by an outside party.

I might be in pain from wisdom teeth removal but my mom’s sick so I made her chicken noodle soup from scratch (ish? Idk it wasn’t canned chicken noodle but like an amalgamation of ingredients to an approximation of chicken noodle soup. There was chicken broth and noodles as a base so. It works). Made me realize that all I want from other people is what I give. I want to be cared for; for soup made without me asking when I’m sick, for my favorite drink to be waiting for me in the fridge when I wake up, for the laundry to be washed and dried and folded while I’m at work, for a trinket to be picked up simply because it reminds someone of me. That’s all I want.

Genuinely impressed these turned out as good as they did because SOMEONE (me) used twice as much butter as necessary for the cookies. Can't wait to try this one again the right way!

These taste good but they're so much effort to make. Just find a really good snickerdoodle recipe you like more tbh, unless you want cookies that look cuter.

i just spent ages looking for the post, i swear i posted about it when i broke my beloved fish plate like a year ago, but now he's finally back together! i just have to wait a week or so for the resin to cure , and then i can go in and wipe away the excess gold. even though the process was frustrating and VERY time-consuming and i lost motivation halfway through and let it sit on the shelf unfinished for like 14 months, i'm glad i went to the trouble of learning how to actually kintsugi it with resin and gold instead of rushing it with epoxy and mica powder.

I don’t remember being much of a Christmas person before. Life always got in the way, like the time I had to sit a university entrance exam on December 23rd. I was either busy working retail or wrapping up the school year and/or being deeply, clinically depressed. I rarely had the time or energy to put up Christmas decorations. Eventually I stopped doing a Christmas tree and focused on my nativity scene instead, which felt more meaningful to me for a variety of reasons. And then my dad died the week before Christmas and I gave up on the whole thing altogether. It took me a while to feel like doing even that much again, and sometimes I don’t end up doing it until December 24th.

Can’t even remember what was the point I was trying to make. I feel a touch disconnected from the seasonal mood, I guess. My dad was fun to buy presents for and got me truly special things. It’s just not the same without him, that’s just all there is to it. We adapt and choose what makes the most sense
