Cricut Explore 3 vs Maker 3: Which Machine Is Best for You?
Are you in a dilemma and unsure which one is better: Cricut Explore 3 vs Maker 3? You don’t have to worry about it, as I will clear all your doubts through this blog. Do you know both machines are robust and suitable in their own way? Yes, the Cricut Explore 3 might be fit for some, or for some, the Maker 3 could be their first preference.
But how do I decide if I want a Cricut Maker 3 or Explore 3? Well, that is what I am going to discuss in this blog. As a pro crafter, I have noticed many people need clarification about buying craft machines. And I understand their confusion because Cricut has many different models for its cutting machines.
Now, let’s delve into this blog together to learn more about the difference between the Cricut Explore 3 and Maker 3.
Cricut Explore 3 vs Maker 3: Performance
Tumblr media
During operations, I found both machines quiet and quick. Also, I noticed Explore 3’s cutting pressure is standard. It can easily cut materials up to a thickness of 2 mm. On the other hand, Cricut Maker 3 is ten times ahead in terms of pressure; hence, it can cut up to 2.4 mm in thickness.
Overall, the Cricut Maker 3 is a more powerful and versatile machine than the Explore 3. However, Explore 3 is a decent crafting machine that serves the basic needs of crafters.
Cricut Explore 3 vs Maker 3: Tool Compatibility
Okay, so let’s talk about tool compatibility. Tool compatibility means how compatible your tools are with the cutting machine. If you don’t know, Cricut Explore 3 and Maker 3 both work with 6 basic tools to meet your crafting needs. Below is the list of 6 tools compatible with Cricut Explore 3:
Fine-Point Blade
Pens & Markers
Scoring Stylus
Bonded-Fabric Tool
Foil Transfer Tool
Deep-Point Blade
Below is the list of 7 tools compatible with Cricut Maker 3:
Rotary Blade
Knife Blade
Scoring Wheels (Single & Double)
Engraving Tool
Debossing Tool
Wavy Blade
Perforation Blade
All the tools mentioned above are designed to perform specific operations.
Cricut Explore 3 vs Maker 3: Adaptive Tool System
Tumblr media
The incredible features, such as the adaptive tool system, are only available in the Cricut Maker 3 and not in Explore 3. This feature is unique to the Cricut Maker model. But why did Cricut add this unique feature to Maker models?
With these unique features, your Maker 3 can manage the location of the blade to the most optimal position for upcoming cuts by lifting and rotating the blade.
Thus, you get high-quality, precise cuts on intricate projects even when you are working on thicker materials. Cricut Explore 3 has Cut Smart Technology, which enables you to cut the materials by dragging the blade across it.
One more advantage of this Adaptive Tool System is that it makes the Cricut Maker 3 compatible with the QuickSwap Housing System, making it easy to swap the tools by snapping on the desired tip you want.
It also includes the single and double scoring wheel, debossing tip, wavy blade, engraving tip, and perforation blade.
Cricut Explore 3 vs Maker 3: Cutting Force and Materials
The cutting force in my Cricut Maker 3 is 10x compared to my Explore 3. This is the only difference that makes the Maker 3 cut more materials. On the other hand, the Cricut Explore 3 can cut more than 100 materials, including various types of lightweight & specialty materials.
However, Maker 3 can cut more than 300 materials, including basswood, leather, and matboard.
Final Words
That’s all in this blog. By now, you might have understood the basic difference between Cricut Explore 3 and Maker 3. They both vary in terms of operation, performance, and ability to cut a large amount of materials. However, when comparing both machines, Cricut Maker 3 is always one step ahead of Explore 3. Before making a purchase, you can also check the Cricut Maker 3 price or the Cricut Explore 3 price. Despite these, both are amazing machines that cut the material precisely.
FAQs
Question 1: Is Cricut Maker 3 better than Cricut Explore 3?
Answer: Although both of them are cutting machines and can cut materials such as vinyl, cardstock, and Infusible Ink. However, you can cut more materials on Cricut Maker 3 than on Explore 3. Also, Maker 3 cuts more materials and handles thicker materials. Since it is the robust machine in Cricut’s lineup, it is indeed better than Explore 3.
Question 2: Can I cut Smart Materials on Cricut Explore 3 and Maker 3?
Answer: Yes, you can! You can easily cut Smart Materials on Cricut Explore 3 and Maker 3 without a cutting mat. There are many benefits to using Smart Materials, as you don’t need to use the cutting mat, and hence, you can make larger projects quickly. Besides, Smart Materials include Smart Vinyl, Smart Iron-On, and Smart Paper Sticker Cardstock.
Question 3: How many materials can I cut on Cricut Maker 3 and Explore 3?
Answer: Well, Explore 3 can cut materials up to 100, including cardstock, vinyl, and Smart Paper Sticker. Meanwhile, Maker 3 can cut over 300 materials, so Cricut Maker 3 can cut three times more materials than Explore 3. So, if you want to try different types of materials for your crafts, go with the Maker 3 cutting machine.

How To Engrave With Cricut Maker [Step By Step Process]
Cricut Engraving Tool is a tool used for engraving in the Cricut Maker machine. This engraving tool tip can engrave all sorts of materials like paper, leather, plastic, acrylic, and soft materials. A lot of people are confused about whether they can engrave using the Cricut Engraving Tool; the answer is yes, and in this article, we’ll discuss how to engrave with Cricut Maker.
Let me brief you about the Cricut Maker Engraving Tool. Yes, it is all true that the Cricut Maker can engrave using the Engraving Tool, also known as the Cricut Engraving Tool. This tool is an addition to their expanding line-up of tools that make the Cricut Maker a feature-loaded machine. The Engraving tip is a metal tip designed for permanently carving your images and texts into leather, paper, acrylic, and plastics. You can use the engraving tool with a wide variety of materials.
Step-by-step Process To Use The Cricut Maker Engraving Tool
To engrave with your Cricut Maker Engraving Tool, you need first to open the Design Space software on your computer. Now click on insert/upload on the image. Now, if you want to change from the cut lines to engrave lines, you have to select the image and change the line type from the drop-down menu.
Now, after changing the line type from cutting to engraving, the engraving lines show up as the outline of each stroke of a solid-filled line.
How To Change QuickSwap For Engraving?
Please follow the following step to change your QuickSwap to start engraving:
Hold and press the tip of the QuickSwap Housing to release the tip.
Now smooth remove the tip.
While pressing the component, align flat areas inside your engraving tip with flat sides of the holder.
Now set the tip by sliding it into place and ensure that the new tip installed is firmly set against the holder.
Now finally, release the plunger to set the tip in its place.
Steps For Preparing Mats, Materials, And Machine For Engraving
Follow the following steps to prepare your Cricut Maker machine for engraving:
Firstly, insert your material in the upper left-hand corner of your mat. And to ensure your materials don't move, use the tape material to make the material stay in place.
Avoid using the take-over engraving area.
Position your material over the mat so that the tape material does not get passed over the rubber rollers near the mat guides. Adjust your design by using the project view screen in the Design Space.
When you're working with thicker materials, always let the star wheels on the roller bar to your extreme right. It gives you clearance to get the thicker materials and ensures you don't ruin your project with the track marks on your final project. Ensure that your material is wider than 28 cm.
We recommend using your hands to gently support the machine mat during the engraving and loading process for stiff materials.
Engraving Tool Compatible Cricut Machines
The Cricut Engraving tip is currently only compatible with the Cricut Maker machine because it is the only machine that has the Adaptive Tool System and can apply pressure to engrave. This engraving tip is not compatible with any other Cricut machines like Cricut Joy, Explore series, or any other machine.
The Cricut Engraving tip is the main component of the Cricut Adaptive Tool System and uses the Quick Swap Housing mechanism. This Quick Housing System has the functionality of quickly changing the marker tools with the push of a button. In addition to the Engraving tip, there are many tools that use the Quick Swap Housing, like Wavy Blade, Debossing Tip, Perforation Blade, Engraving, and "Single and Double scoring wheels." It means that you can use all the tools with a single housing. We recommend you buy one blade and a housing combo, then purchase the Quick Swap tips single or in a bundle set.
What Are The Material Types Engraving Tool Can Engrave?
Following is the list of types of materials engraving tools can engrave:

F2P Yanfei Build Tips
Tumblr media
I mentioned in a previous post that I really think pulling on the upcoming Zhongli banner is a great idea for newer players and especially f2p players that have been saving their primos/are nearing pity. This is in large part because the new character Yanfei is looking like a very good character to add to your roster if you lack a main carry or Pyro DPS character.
Pyro is by no means required in this game, but Mihoyo definitely favors it over the other elements. It has access to the two best reactions in the game, melt and vaporise, and can be used with electro for overload to break shields with ease. Dendro when Mihoyo?
Yanfei seems like a f2p player’s dream character, she’s basically a budget Klee. Plus, she’s adorable and has a unique back story akin to Ganyu’s! Unless you just don’t like her design for whatever reason, I highly recommend trying your luck to get her!
Here is a little f2p friendly guide to help you build her should you pull her ! :)
Talents and Ascension
Prioritize Yanfei’s normal attacks when building her talents. Most of her damage will come from Charged Attacks, so her damage will scale better by leveling up her autos first.
Her burst should be second priority since it has a higher damage multiplier. Her skill can be saved for last.
She will require a boss drop from Azhdaha, Bloodjade Branch. Azhdaha is the new weekly boss being introduced in 1.5. Be sure to challenge him once a week!
Other items you will need to ascend her as a character are Agnius Agate, Primordial Jade, Noctilucous Jade, and Treasure Hoarder Insignias!
Weapon
If Yanfei is as much like Klee as she sounds, then the Widsith will likely be her BiS 4 star weapon. Obviously, if you have a 5 star catalyst then use that! If you don’t have either of these, don’t fret! The Mappa Mare is a craftable weapon and is a great choice!
Mappa Mare scales with Elemental Mastery, which is fantastic for a character that relies on reactions to do damage. It’s passive is also useful, granting a 10% elemental damage bonus when an elemental reaction is triggered. This effect can stack twice and scales higher with refinement.
Other great weapons if you have them on hand are the Blackcliff Agate and Solar Pearl. These weapons are great because they provide additional crit dmg and crit rate respectively. Blackcliff can be purchased in the shop with star glitter while the Solar Pearl is a BP exclusive weapon.
Artifacts
*If you are not AR45+* I do not recommend wasting your resin on artifacts. Wait until you’re world level 7 and challenge Lv 90 domains to get guaranteed 5 star artifact drops.*
I’ll also use Klee again for inspiration here. The ideal artifact set for Yanfei would likely be Wanderers Troupe 4pc set. WT is very hard to farm though so Crimson Witch or Lava Walker sets would be good alternatives. In terms of priority I’d say it’s WT > WT/CW > CW > LW but it really just depends on the quality of the artifacts.
For main stats your timepiece should be Atk% unless you have very low Elemental Mastery. If you’re using Mappa Mare and have at least a 2pc Wanderers Troupe set then I’d go with Atk% as a main stat. I’d also use Atk% if you plan on pairing her with Sucrose, since she provides free EM to her teammates. If you are not using Mappa Mare or you don’t have good rolls for EM on your artifacts than shoot for EM as the main stat. So, Atk > EM unless your EM is <100ish.
The cup should 100% be Pyro Dmg Bonus. If you don’t have a single Pyro cup you can run atk% until you do get a Pyro cup.
The circlet should be Crit rate or Crit Dmg, depending which one gets you closer to the ideal 1:2 crit ratio. If your crit rate is <50% I’d say go with Crit Rate over Crit Dmg for more consistency. If you have >50% crit rate then prioritize Crit Dmg.
Sub stats should be prioritized as: Crit rate = Crit Dmg > atk% > elemental mastery > energy recharge > flat Atk and pray you don’t get too many Def or HP rolls.
Team Comp
Yanfei will preform best in a quick swap reaction based team. She will have the best synergy with Hydro, Cryo, Anemo and other Pyro characters. And wouldn’t you know it? Diona will be given away for free in 1.5!
Diona is a fantastic support character, and especially to Yanfei for several reasons:
Cryo application for Melt procs. Diona can apply Cryo with her skill as well as her Burst.
Diona has one of the better shields in the game. As a charged attacker, Yanfei will benefit from the interruption resistance that a shield provides. Diona’s shield scales with HP, so it’s relatively easy to build. It also provides a movement speed increase which is pretty cool and can cleanse other elements off of you to remove unwanted debuffs.
Her burst heals while dealing Cryo damage. This synergizes great with Yanfei. If you happen to have her at max constellation, Diona provides a hefty elemental mastery buff to her teammates inside the AoE of her burst too!
Diona can make use of multiple artifact sets. The new Millieth set looks fantastic for her on paper. She can also utilize the 4pc Maiden Beloved set or pair it with Scholar/Exile. If you lack a Energy Recharge weapon such as Sacrificial Bow or Favonius Warbow, then a simple 2pc Scholar/2pc Exile will work exceptionally well on her. Stack HP% on her timepiece, cup, and circlet to get the most out of her healing and shield.
There are several other characters you could pair with Yanfei and Diona to get a solid team comp. It ultimately comes down to which characters you have in your roster, but for the sake of this build we’ll rely on free characters that everyone has access to.
For the third slot of this team comp, an Anemo character that can utilize Viridescent Venerer artifact set would be great for shredding Pyro resistance for Yanfei. Don’t have Venti, Sucrose, or Jean? Don’t worry, Anemo MC works great as a VV support thanks to their ability to reliably swirl! They also have a fair amount of crowd control and can reach c6 very easily.
For the last slot in this specific team I recommend Bennett if you have him, but if you don’t have him, Xiangling works great! Either way we will be using this slot as a burst support/nuke. I choose these two characters because they are Pyro, which gives the team Pyro resonance, increasing party Atk by 25%! I also chose them because they can both utilize 4pc Noblesse Oblige artifact set. The idea is to use their burst to increase the overall damage of the team. Again, Bennett is perfect for this role but I’ll focus on Xiangling since she’s free to everyone.
Yanfei + Diona + Traveler + Xiangling is a team that will use quick swap play style. Quickswap is a form of play that relies on swapping characters in and out more frequently for higher combined damage, as opposed to Sustained play style where one character is dealing most of the damage. This team can be used in a 4 step rotation:
1.) Start with Xiangling and use her skill or burst to apply Pyro to enemies/activate the NO boost.
2.) Once Pyro is applied, swap to the Traveler and use their skill to swirl Pyro against enemies. This will activate VV 4pc boost, which shreds swirled enemy’s resistance to Pyro by 60%
3.) Swap to Diona and apply Cryo with her skill or Ult.
4.) Finally, Swap Yanfei in and use her charged attacks/burst to proc melts and do big pp damage.
Other 4 ⭐️ characters that can be used with Yanfei include Bennett, Barbara, Chongyun, Sucrose, Xingqiu, Xinyan, Rosaria, and Kaeya. Shoot for Pyro resonance for that sweet Atk buff. Hydro or Cryo for vape and melt procs (Xingqiu is fantastic for this if you have him) and a VV user for resistance shredding (unless you have Zhongli as his shield will shred resistance for you!)
Yanfei can also be used with Electro characters like Fischl for niche shield breaking. Keep in mind that Overload does push enemies back and often requires you to sprint to keep up with them. Charged attackers like Yanfei do not like to sprint too much.
Geo resonance is also a solid choice for her if you have Zhongli, Albedo, or both. If you lack these 5 ⭐️ characters I’d use her in the standard Pyro + Anemo + Hydro/Cryo comp because she doesn’t really have the greatest synergy with other geo characters.
TLDR:
Yanfei is a Pyro DPS character very similar to Klee. She can make use of the 4⭐️ craftable weapon, Mappa Mare; use Wanderer’s Troupe, Crimson Witch or Lavawalker artifact sets with Atk/EM timepiece, Pyro Bonus goblet, and Crit circlet. She ascends with Noctilucous Jade and Primordial Jade, and her talents level up with Bloodjade Branch from new weekly boss Azhdaha. She pairs well with quick swap teams that focus on vaporise and melt elemental reactions!
I hope some people find this helpful! Again, I think Yanfei has really good potential and would make a great addition to your team if you’re looking for another main carry. If you’re new or f2p she’s a great alternative to characters like Diluc and Klee for both overworld and Abyss. Zhongli is also a very good character to have so you really can’t go wrong pulling on this rate up.

How haikyuu characters would play genshin impact:
//featuring me nerding out about mbti types 😔
Karasuno
Hinata
As an ESFP he would probably choose his main based on who feels good to use
Quick movements, lots of jumping, strong = XIAO MAIN (probably finds the flashiness and edginess cool and enjoys the button mashing too)
would aggressively compete with kageyama on who can beat spiral abyss the fastest and with the shortest time
unfortunately they’re both not very good (initially because kenma helps him out after)
Would try to follows the plot but dialogue goes over his head
Does not understand stats other than attack at first
Wish impulse is real and never has any primos
would attempt to talk to every npc
Kageyama
META SLAVE
Has no idea what wishing/gacha is at first and builds his starters really well
Then he found out and currently mains Ganyu, Zhongli, Hutao for the big numbers
gloats about his first 5 star to hinata
Does not talk to NPCs at all and barely digs into the story
only there for spiral abyss and to make his characters stronger
Tsukishima
Didn’t wanna play until yamaguchi dragged him in to have someone to co op with
Appreciates the story and lore more than the gameplay aspect
Eula, razor (cv uchiyama kouki) main—easy to build, easy to use
Doesn’t care about wishing either
Got Eula by accident and now holds it over kageyama’s head
Has really good artifact RNG that it infuriates kagehina (gloats about it to fan the flame 😚)
Yamaguchi
he’s infp he chooses based on characters he likes 🥺
Diluc, albedo, ayaka main
(i can’t explain why I think he’d like those three, it just Makes Sense)
Co ops with tsukki and yachi, plays both dps and support
Spiral abyss makes him anxious but he pushes through anyway!!
Daichi
Starter team king 😩
Feels bad about switching his regular team out FJDFJDJJDDJ DAICHI
Probably a casual player though
Plays to coop with suga and tanaka but they carry him through domains
he’s trying his best
Suga
Mains based on whoever’s fun to play too!!
but enjoys more of a challenge
Childe main
Waiting for Scaramouche to drop hAha 🥲 and harbingers in general
Appreciates the plot and is very interested in lore!!
Diligently does spiral abyss
Doesn’t quite wish on impulse, but if theres a character he likes he’ll spend everything on their banner
Asahi
Does not play, got too scared (see: haikyuu ova)
Nishinoya
Rolls VERY much on impulse
Similar to hinata in that he also likes playing playstyles that feel good
Xiao and/or yoimiya main
(xiao because he’s short jk)
Probably raised Rosaria and planned to use her
Plot who???? we only care about world exploration and fighting in this house
Tanaka
wished for all the women, raised all the women, uses all the women
valid
Primarily mains Rosaria, ningguang and Lisa though
sorry beidou you remind him of his sister too much
waiting for signora like many of us are
Coops with noya and has INSANELY bad rng luck
Yachi
Also chooses based on characters’ personalities
gay, mains sucrose and jean
isfj child and probably feels bad about the underrated characters :(
uses amber, xinyan and qiqi too!
Raises all characters but hasn’t raised anyone to 90
Coops with yamaguchi and uses jean (as healer, support, damage dealer)
Talks to NPCs and sympathizes with their sad backstories
Gets too anxious to do spiral floors 9-12 too (mood)
Seijoh
Oikawa
Oh boy
this ENFJ 3w2 guy? you KNOW he’s gonna be the best
As long as it doesn’t clash with volleyball of course
Very VERY competitive in abyss
Has one character hed get attached to but doesn’t limit himself to using them only
Incredibly focused on team synergy, carefully crafts teams to bring out the best in each character
Tests best damage output too
But also he’d probably use meta characters and secretly raise the ones he actually likes?
Current fave: Yoimiya
Uses strong characters for coop but uses his faves for single player domains (or coop with iwaizumi)
Likes characters but surprisingly wouldnt be too invested in the plot
does not whale out of pride
Iwaizumi
Geo user
Uses characters he finds respectable in the storyline + hard hitters
Razor, klee, jean main but unaware of the family relationship
Sometimes uses beidou although her burst takes too long sometimes
Pretty casual player, only started because of Oikawa
Hanamaki
obviously he and matsukawa would make zhongli pillar dick jokes
Kaeya and beidou main (he thinks they’re cool)
Not that impatient to wait for bursts to charge or has a lot of energy recharge
whale
Matsukawa
……. Hutao main
funeral home
Would use qiqi and hutao together for the meme then grows to genuinely like qiqi
Saves up for a really long time then spends it all at once
Kindaichi
Doesn’t play much tbh
Offline for a week, comes back to do commissions for one day, leaves
Kunimi
Hed be pretty good
but lazy and forget to do dailies
then buy welkin moon instead
Focuses more on the story too rather than gameplay and points out loopholes
Mains whoever he has in his team with good synergy (like chongyun xingqiu xiangling)
Kyoutani
Rage quits 5 minutes in after hearing paimon’s voice 😔
Throws his phone at the wall
Yahaba
Simps for jean
Mains jean
Dedicated to dailies and spiral abyss
But doesn’t wish that much
Was the one who tried getting kyoutani into it and suffered the consequences
Nekoma
Kuroo
ENTP king raises a whole arsenal of characters for spiral abyss
I cant see him really getting attached to one in particular ?
makes zhongli pillar dick jokes every chance he can get
but also uses him for utility
Wants to try using a whole bunch of characters and wishes on every banner
But uses the meta ones with good team comps
sparks twitter debates with ….. interesting takes
“_____ is completely shit”
Kenma
OH BOY HES A GAMER GAMER
Whale whale whale whale
He’s tony to
Best synergy teams, understands the value of elemental mastery, REALLY values good supports, calculates possible damage numbers
Kazuha, zhongli, bennett, venti are a staple in his teams
Helps hinata and kuroo until kuroo teases too much by deliberately playing horribly
mildom and youtube streamer like murase ayumu
Appreciates story and lore very much too
Yaku
he’d LOVE the children
Probably would use characters that remind him of family members and friends
Klee, diona, qiqi, chongyun, xingqiu, razor, bennett
does spiral abyss but not obsessively
Lev
KENMA-SAN!!! LETS PLAY TOGETHER!!!
I’m sorry he would not know how the game works
Doesn’t do the ascension quests and gets stuck at AR 26 with 500k extra points
Thinks he’s amazing but it’s because he’s stuck at world level 1
I’m sorry lev ily but ……. its the truth
Tries pulling for everyone too and mains the first 5 star he got
(childe because he’s russian AKSHDKDHSKSHS /j)
Wants diluc and xiao because they look cool but gets Mona instead (doesnt understand how to use her)
Yamamoto
Also raises the women like tanaka but + kaeya
Lev complained to him about getting Mona while he’s wanted Mona for months
Not really a dedicated intense gamer EXCEPT for during those battle events
Fukurodani
Bokuto
WANTS THE STRONG AND COOL LOOKING 5 STARS
Eula, zhongli, diluc, xiao
but doesn’t know how to build either
doesn’t understand stats
would feel really bad for qiqi
Wouldn’t like signora for hurting venti :(
Wouldn’t like childe too :( until he plays the story quest and sees the ruin guard cutscene
then starts sobbing because of what a good brother he is
“AKAAAASSHI I wanna do that too!!!” then he dies
Tries to use childe but doesn’t understand the cool down management
Mispronounces and misspells tartaglia (タルタリア)
for more info on how bokuto plays genshin see Kimura ryohei’s YouTube channel ✨
Akaashi
the true childe main (just like me)
Uses characters based on utility
but mains whoever reminds him of bokuto FJDHFJFJDKSJ
Very good supports but unlike Kenma, he chooses and builds supports around his main
also uses very good supports so people won’t realize he’s using childe for the cv kimura ryohei (everyone knows anyway)
Literature nerd appreciates the plot, writing and deep lore too
Konoha
Tries pulling for everyone but has REALLY bad luck
Has really good characters but never the one he wants
loses all 50/50s and has a c4 qiqi
Ends up maining qiqi as dps
sorry konoha i didn’t mean to slander you
Shiratorizawa
Ushijima
does not know how to play or build
Uses whoever he has (aka starters)
Only plays because tendou downloaded and made an account for him
Doesn’t know how to ascend characters or farm
Forgets about talents (me)
Weirdly good RNG and doesn’t realize it 😩
“Let me look at your account wakatoshi-kun”
“Sure”
“You didn’t tell me you had 6 of jean’s Stella fortuna???”
“What’s that?”
Tendou
this man pulls for the seiyuus
Mains childe, hutao, mona for 5 stars
childe and hutao’s instinct based quickswap playstyle works so well for him!
jokes about cosplaying mona then actually does
Knows how to build, grinds, and manages ushijima’s account for him
Probably whales too
Shirabu
Meta meta meta meta
But f2p meta
Loves setting up reactions
More into the lore too and researches theories
Remembers actual names of boss drops
Semi: so how many of those buttplugs do you have again
Shirabu: 💢stop calling them buttplugs, they have actual names 💢
VERY diligent with battle pass, dailies, achievements and spiral abyss full stars
Until he //SPOILERS gets into med school and has no time for shit
Inarizaki
Atsumu
Would have a crush on a character I just know it
Invests heavily on his faves and is great at utilizing each of them
fussy . complains about a certain unit and how they can improve
or complains about how the game can improve to osamu
Osamu: yer just saying that cuz you couldn’t get a high score
Archons main (already saving for the tsaritsa)
Wouldn’t have a main dps but several hard hitting supports
Whale and falls victim to the weapon banner
Osamu
More casual player than Atsumu but still tries to get higher than him in events and spiral abyss
If atsumu’s a whale, osamu’s a dolphin
Great at dodging
Catalyst user!!
Mains ningguang, klee, yanfei + other catalyst supports
Also uses keqing
Kita
the man appreciates routine aka VERY diligent with dailies, battle pass, farming
“if you do things properly results will follow” or whatever quote he said ✨
Starter team but raises other characters for abyss
Reads dialogue and appreciates the plot
Barely gachas
Aran
will defend TO THE DEATH the underappreciated characters
Has empathy for noelle 🥺🥺
Noelle, Barbara, xinyan, bennett, children user 🥺
Talks to every NPC and loves the backstories and lore
also would feel really bad for qiqi
Suna
Uses the tall men and women and builds them all as dps (childe zhongli diluc kaeya beidou ningguang jean lisa rosaria eula)
He’d probably make a support character a dps tbh
Disregards team synergy for the shits but somehow manages to do domains and abyss
Itachiyama
Sakusa
c6 everyone
leaves

Note
Would it be wiser to pull for kazuha or shongli considering they’re both great supports at the same time might rerun back to back? Or who would likely rerun faster after these patches?
If you like both characters equally, that's a tough call.
People may be quick to say Zhongli, but two of us use both regularly, and we'd say they're both game-changers in their own ways.
The decision depends on your play style.
Pull Kazuha if:
Taking damage isn't a major obstacle for you (e.g. good at dodging, already-built healers/shielders, etc.)
You have issues with crowd control / chasing enemy mobs
You favor quickswap reaction comps
You use Bennett regularly for Pyro application / Pyro DPS Boost (Bennett Burst + Kazuha Burst is OP AF and there's a reason the duo is consistently showcased in nuke setups)
Pull Zhongli if:
You use Hu Tao / Xiao / Ganyu / Yoimiya as main DPS (carries that arguably see the largest benefit from anti-stagger / not being interrupted during their attack strings)
You're more interested in raw DPS increase overall (less time spent dodging + 20% universal res shred)
You favor teams featuring main DPS carries with high on-field time
You want an effortless option for 100% shield uptime
You own / use other Geo characters
We'll crosspost this answer to our Twitter as well, as we're sure other Travelers may be struggling with the decision and would like to see more opinions.

Heizou Gameplay Analysis
Alright, here we go. Time to dissect the inner workings of the detective fisticuffs man himself, Shikanoin Heizou.
General Play Style and Abilities Overview
Heizou’s style is unique among Genshin Impact characters. He’s a catalyst user, but he fights more like a character with a melee weapon, except he has an Anemo infusion with 100% uptime. His Normal Attacks have a small amount of AoE to them which can let him hit multiple enemies if they’re grouped tightly together. He also has a Charged Attack that’s weaker than most catalyst Charged Attacks, but only costs 25 stamina whereas most others cost 50, ignoring any cost reductions a character may have of course.
Heizou’s Normal Attack also serves an important purpose, in that it builds Declension for his Elemental Skill. With Declension, the Elemental Skill becomes stronger, and this forms the bread and butter of Heizou’s kit. This ability does a pretty large amount of damage, since it has pretty good scaling and gains a massive damage bonus from having Declension and Conviction, which is gained from having maximum Declension.
His Elemental Skill can send smaller enemies flying backwards a short distance and also stagger larger enemies. It doesn’t count as a “heavy attack” though, so it’s ineffective against shields and ores. But it has a large AoE that extends pretty far in front of Heizou and makes it highly effective against groups of enemies.
As for the Elemental Burst, there are a couple interesting things to note. It only costs 40 energy, which is seemingly quite a rare sight these days; it’s been a long time since we’ve had a character with a 40 energy burst be introduced to the game. This means that Heizou shouldn’t really need any Energy Recharge whatsoever, especially with his fourth Constellation level, which grants him energy when his burst gains an elemental absorption.
Speaking of which, the way this absorption happens is a little different from most Anemo characters’ Elemental Bursts. Rather than infusing the burst itself with an element, it applies a status to enemies it hits that triggers an additional hit of whatever element was absorbed from the enemy. So it affects enemies on an individual basis, rather than all enemies within the burst’s AoE. It’s also limited to a maximum of four enemies hit by it.
All of this combined suggests that Heizou is meant to fulfill the role of the main damage-dealer in your team. He’s designed to work in conjunction with burst supports that can deal damage while off-field, triggering Swirl reactions and powering up his Elemental Skill for a nice chunk of damage. Then, when his Elemental Burst is ready, he can cast it for another solid hit of damage and keep enemies clumped together. His abilities were made to be used frequently to support his role as a character with lots of field time.
Constellation Overview
Heizou has a few good Constellation levels for those who want to invest in him. The first level lets you get access to his full-power Elemental Skill faster with a brief ATK SPD Bonus and a stack of Declension. This bonus can also be triggered pretty frequently. In fact, it has the same cooldown as his Elemental Skill, which can help you to play Heizou as a quickswap character: frequently switching to him to get in a quick use of his skill before switching again to a different character.
The second level increases the strength of his Elemental Burst’s crowd control effect and makes it last ever-so-slightly longer. I am unable to personally test this one out, but depending on how strong that pull becomes, having the duration extended could make a huge difference.
For the third and fifth levels, Heizou gets a three-level increase to his skill first and his burst second, which is quite beneficial as the skill is the more crucial (and arguably more powerful) of the two.
Level four, as previously mentioned, generates energy for Heizou when his Elemental Burst triggers an absorption. This could honestly be overkill however, as depending on your team and rotation, he might very easily be able to get his energy back regardless of whether you have this level or not. So I would argue it’s a bit redundant.
Finally, we have the sixth level, which adds even more power to Heizou’s Elemental Skill. It will now gain CRIT Rate based on your amount of Declension, and with Conviction active as well it gains 32% CRIT DMG for a significant boost to its overall damage.
Comparison to Sucrose
As Heizou has a lot in common with Sucrose, it makes sense to compare the two. They’re both 4-star characters with the same element and weapon type, and even the same stat gained from ascension: Anemo DMG Bonus.
Statistically, Heizou is clearly stronger than Sucrose. His attacks chain have better scaling, his stats are better with him having 55 more Base ATK at max level, and his abilities have lower cooldowns and energy costs. However, due to his lack of support capabilities, he’s not strictly better than her.
The truth is, Sucrose is kind of busted. Her ability to grant Elemental Mastery to her party members based on her own value for the stat makes her insanely powerful in conjunction with reaction-based DPS characters and also as a main attacker for Electro-Charged teams. Even though she doesn’t do much damage herself, the powerful Swirl reactions she triggers and the massive boost in damage she gives to her party members is really hard to beat.
Heizou is considerably more “selfish” when it comes to his gameplay. Though one of his passive talents does boost Elemental Mastery for his party members, it’s nothing compared to what Sucrose offers. Most of Heizou’s power is dedicated to himself rather than his teammates.
In short, I believe that Heizou still works wonderfully in a role where he’s on-field using his abilities while your other characters’ bursts are doing work in the background. However, he doesn’t work nearly as well in a supportive role, which limits his options somewhat.
General Thoughts on Weapons and Artifacts
Artifacts are usually pretty straightforward for Anemo characters. With the exception of Xiao and maybe Jean, they all want pretty much the same thing: a 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer set. It’s simply too powerful to pass up on when you’re most likely using Heizou in a team full of Pyro/Hydro/Cryo/Electro characters.
When it comes to the stats you want on the artifacts though, it gets a little bit more complicated. Since Heizou himself does a pretty significant amount of damage, it’s probably worth investing in that as opposed to just stacking Elemental Mastery on him. Venti is a similar case in that he does so much damage that it’s often optimal to run an Anemo DMG Bonus Goblet on him and put Elemental Mastery on the Sands and Circlet.
The key is finding out how much Elemental Mastery is enough, and then dedicating the rest of your stats to things like CRIT Rate/DMG, ATK, and Anemo DMG Bonus. I think what I’ll do, unless I hear otherwise, is invest in his CRIT stats with a Circlet and put ATK on the Sands and Elemental Mastery on the Goblet. It’s something I’ll be trying out and comparing to other setups to see which I think is best.
Now then, weapons. I think Heizou has a lot of good options. Mappa Mare, for starters. He’s the first character who I’d say actually uses it really well, since all parts of the weapon are relevant. Elemental Mastery is good for him and the DMG Bonus from the passive ability actually matters.
The Widsith should also be a spectacular option as always, thanks to the absurd buffs it provides the holder with. All of them should let you get some big damage out of your Heizou. Solar Pearl and Blackcliff Agate should also be pretty strong on him thanks to their CRIT stats and solid passive effects.
Lastly, I think Sacrificial Fragments is worth mentioning as a possible hidden gem. The Elemental Mastery is relevant on him of course, but the main draw is the passive effect which gives you a chance to reset Heizou’s Elemental Skill. Considering how buff that skill is, it might be worth running this weapon just to be able to use it more frequently.
Oh yeah, about 5-star weapons... Nothing really stands out as spectacular here, but Skyward Atlas and Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds are still great picks for raw stats. You can probably get a lot of mileage out of them, but I wouldn’t worry too much since none of them are particularly well-suited to Heizou.
Conclusion
That was a lot to cover, but I thought it was worth getting in-depth with Heizou. I think he’s a really interesting character in concept and in practice. He’s very fun and satisfying to play, and while he’s not setting new bars by any means he’s still a solid 4-star character than can be good in a lot of different teams as the headliner. I look forward to seeing what he can do with a good amount of investment.
