y'know... for a setting that places so much importance in Language and does so many ice cool things playing with it (Correspondence/Discordance, Parabola & Irem, etc) i think there's a bit of a missed opportunity when it comes to the terms and words people use in their day to day life... like for example:

do you think radical revolutionaries would avoid words like "enlightening" in their vocabulary and flip them for LON-appropriate counterparts to signal their beliefs?

like substituting the word "light" with "blight". lol

similarly, pet names relating to light like "sunshine" kinda have a whole extra flavour tied to them, leaning into nostalgia, melancholy and/or danger depending on the people using it. irony, even

"honey" as a pet name also has extra connotations now and might actually bother some people instead due to the association with the drug...

do you think SMEN, taboo as it is, and seeking being a recognizable phenomenon even to the common londoner, would spawn swear words and insults? (imagine the weight of telling someone to Go Seek or Fall Down a Well)

the word "well" itself. well as an adverb, interjection, adjective. just. think about it. think about what it represents. idk something is happening to this word for sure

divination quirk!reader and prohero katsuki bakugo who seeks out your small mystic shop in the shady, crime run part of town. he feels stupid seeking you out. he's heard rumblings about what your quirk is and how powerful your readings have been for others. this is a last resort for him. he's at the end of his rope when he finds himself inside your tiny little shop, the smells making his nose itch from how strong they are.

when you face him you're younger than he imagined. he assumed you'd be this old, wrinkly woman with a voice that sounds like crunching gravel. but when the bell chimes above his head and your eyes rise to look at him, your beauty is unexpected. your face is youthful, but your eyes are centuries old. it sends a shiver down his spine.

"ah, finally," you say, as if you knew he was going to show up. you probably did. your voice is a melody. but why does fear ping around his chest?

"i think i know why you're here," you straighten behind the counter, the glasses you're wearing slipping down your nose, "but why don't you tell me?"

his shoulders square and his fists clench where they're stuffed inside the pocket of his hoodie.

"my best friend," he grits out between clenched teeth. "i need to know who killed him."

BIG fan of the ascension headcanons u posted... I love myself some godly body horror and existential dread!!! Woo!!

Outta curiousity... how do u think huzzle, bauhauzzo, and cobigails ascensions went in this regard? they seem pretty emotionally stable all things considered but huzzle and bauzzie boy ascended AGES ago, who knows how they've changed.....

Thanks a ton! ^ u ^ So in my opinion, becoming a god is an exhausting affair for all honestly, even without a hitch, so even those who are stable can end up a little frazzled. Bauzzie boy is not exempt from this, especially because he has to get used to remembering everything as if it were new. He showed up in a fissure like from an earthquake after a day :)

Huzzle actually took a while to pop in at 4 days, but when it did, you can say it was with a "BANG!". Huzzle Mug didn't take long because of unresolved issues, but more from not knowing what it was as an answer; such is the curse of the creatives.

Bauzzie made sure to catch it though, siblinghood began day one :) Cobigail Quickly popped in, she had good a sense of who she was, A nice (yet devious with pranks) music teacher well known in her town of Milldread! she sprouted up a little disoriented though, and ended up being spooked by the other gods- though she ended up entertained by that honestly....

now bout the remaining gods..... I currently have no idea how thespius appeared in the current moment, feel free to tell me thoughts if anyone has them, i like giving them unique entrances but he's stumped me <:(

Deku: since were all adults and all have different jobs now it's hard for everyone (aka at least 20 people) to get together. (As opposed to when we were classmates and shared a dorm and as such spent at least 8 hours a day together).

Fandom: Omg they abandoned Deku once he got back to being quirkless! How horrible!

Uhm uh uh...I have no excuse for this 😔 PPG self insert who is secretly an alien! I imagine her intro episode would have her having a little romance with the professor when he comes into a bookstore she works at/owns and the girls being (rightfully, given the prof's dating history) suspicious of her. Wacky capers ensue where they try to prove that she's up to no good, only to find that she genuinely is just chilling and wants to live a normal life on earth!

Well, normal as she can, now that she knows this family! I think she'd fit right in 😉
