FUCK IT, TADC EP 2 THOUGHTS MAJOR SPOILERS!! BE WARNED

LETS GO!! Pomni is still pretty screwed up over her first day here, I mean this is all fresh and new to her so like DUH. everyone else here is somewhat or entirely adjusted and kind of just cope with the fact that theyre here I dont think pomni has really processed how long theyve been here?? In the pilot she seems SO bothered by how okay they are with this and willingness to do caines fuckass adventures

i dont blame her, anywho pomni in her nightmare-induced state starts to abstract, she had to face an abstraction early on in her days here which like have to be pretty truamatizing (duh) and cried out to ANYONE, but where she called for help literally no one helped her “oh well” they though

Pomni doesn't feel like anybody else cares, shes the only one whos still going through an adjustment phase and freaking the fuck out while everyone else is just going along with the adventure, something she still thinks is kinda pointless and doesn't get why anybody would waste their time here doing when they COULD be looking for a way out, why is she the only one who seems to still be distressed here? To feel lost? At least from her perspective, it seems that way. Unfortunately, these people have already been here for a while.

Pomski then meets someone whos just like her, their whole reality was shattered and they don't belong anywhere, mirroring how pomni feels at the moment, even if she still has some sort of grip now vs when she first got here

And she finds comfort in that!!! Why is it that this NPC feels more real than the ACTUAL REAL PEOPLE trapped here with her??? Whatever the reason, its something to hold onto. Something to LATCH onto. Hes Real. or at least he feels real, and maybe she feels like she belongs with him because at least he knows the feeling, something shes not really felt w anyone else before

This comfort and solidarity she has with gumigoo is shortlived however as she gets brutally reminded that he wasnt real. The anchor she had vanished and there's quite literally nobody to catch her fall.

And i feel like ragatha trying to comfort her the way she did didnt help AT ALL. it was kinda a sore reminder that gumigoo is easily replaceable, and GOD thats so frustrating?? This thing felt so real to her and nobody seems to care that he just vanished!! If they could be so apathetic to this whos to say they wont just treat her demise just the same as she thought they would???

But then something important happens. They have a funeral for Kaufmo, someone whos been established to be their friend way before Pomni ever came here. And maybe it didn't ever settle in before that kaufmo was a real person! Literally!! And he was real to them. Just like gumigoo though less directly they relate to being in pain and kind of in shock of losing someone who they cared about and who was a real person to care about to them AND LIKE YOU CAN SEE WHERE IT CLICKS IN HER FACIAL EXPRESSION HERE, THE CHANGE IN HER EYES AND THE WAY HER EXPRESSION LOSENS AT THIS IDK IT DRIVES ME CRAZY GOD THE ANIMATORS WENT OFF W THIS EP VS THE PILOT IM IM IM

anyways anyways They have their funeral service, theres quite literally no reason for anyone to just lie and go along with whatever bs caines got going on, this also quite literally has nothing to do with him. This is kind of their own little way of keeping some sort of human traditions and respect for the human persons that get stuck here because they care. HELL you can even see pomni feel a little guilty here when ragatha says that his funeral was disrupted cause she arrived here

anyways thats exactly it!! They fucking car!! This whole time pomni thought that they just didnt care and were kind of apathetic or downright patronizing her over all this and mocking her or whatnot, like in her dream sequence. But no, they all talk respectively about their memories and experiences with kaufmo, the things they shared together and the feelings they had. EVERYBODY was grieving. Ragatha who always tried to put on some cheerful and kind of irritating (to pomni at least) everythings fine facade (which also kind of feels less real to her at least i think so but i don't think she figured it to be a coping mechanism) to just straight up start crying and breaking up a bit, even mentioning how this does not ever get any easier and how shes had to deal with this plenty of times before.

Zooble the usually apathetic and kind of asshole who keeps to themselves and gives off i don't care energy and probably gave off the impression that they didn't care about anyone here and just treated the people stuck here as an unfortunate fact and nothing more actually being vulnerable and probably doing the same as ragatha talking about their memories with kaufmo

Kingers ALWAYS kind of zoned out or not really taking anything seriously and just being there completely lost in space, but here hes grounded, and even earlier in the episode when ragatha needed it most he remained grounded then too (tho pomni didnt see that i just wanted to mention it). Just like the others he grieves and lives in the unfortunate moment

GANGLE- dude even if its for just a moment she smiles here despite having her tragedy mask and like her whole shtick is being of whatever mood or emotion her mask is allegedly wether she wants to or not, but no here shes more than just that, she smiles for a bit when reminiscing her moments with kaufmo only to go back into crying, and man shes always crying with her tragedy mask but its beyond as far as anyone can tell wether or not its really her or just because of her mask, but here? its really her, no matter what the mask on her face shows!! shes genuinely smiling despite having her comedy mask and shes genuinely crying which is very blatantly obviously different to the usual mask cry etc etc

heres something about all this, it hits pomni in a way. These people ARE real, and they care. They care about her, they have nothing else but eachother and THATS something to latch onto. Thats something to hold her down, even if they just met pomni

SPEAKING OF JUST MEETING POMNI she literally expressed how she didnt wanna just LEAVE gumigoo there by himself because she believes no one should just be left there

the circus peeps just met pomni and just like how she felt a real connection to gumigoo in this digital hell she feels a sort of connection with these people too. Theyre gonna have her back all the same, maybe she wont feel so out of place and alone. BONUS THING!! The literal only times she genuinely smiles is when she feels this real connection to what feels real to her and has a genuine and sincere moment with these people whether it be an npc or a trapped member. Idk it just means something to me how significant both these moments are tipped off with a genuine smile a REAL SMIE!! (id add pictures but tumblr has a 30 image limit) OH ALSO BONUS BONUS THING THE DIFFERENCE IN OUTRO MUSIC IS SO IS SO ITS SO the outro song for the pilot kinda feels so ethereal and out of the moment at least to me it kinda feels like it you're slipping through the cracks and just, existing within yourself as the rest of the world around you kind of shatters into glass or melts into water or something i dont think ANY of that made any sense but its loud and its blaring and its so out of reach in a way, mad disassociation vibes but the outro song for the 2nd ep is a lot quieter yet its right there, at first it starts really small, lonely even. trapped by yourself but as the music gets louder and more instruments join in on the song it kind of has a comforting feel? bittersweet? even? its grounding ina way which is much different from how the first one felt at least to me lmao and the comforting feel kinda only emphasizes what I was talking about earlier- the comfort in having that anchor of reality with having a real moment with these people and making that connection yk? and like as i was saying at first the song starts off with just one instrument, at the start of the episode pomni feels utter alone and out of place even if these people here with here are stuck in the same situation as her, together alone. but as the other instruments join. in it kinda uplifts the song a bit, its not one sole instrument anymore like how in the end pomni feels that connection with everyone else, not so alone anymore idk jackshit about music theory so this is entirely a feelies talk instead of like- music lore? so don't take anything i say as like- idk some professional speak im just a nerd nerding about silly digital fixations ANYWAYS THATS ALL FOR NOW I AVE MORE TO SAY BUT THIS IS LONG ENOUGH LOL if you actually read all the way down this far thank you for listening!!! i really really appreciate it :]

- Was a choir kid

- Fav subject was science

- Hit highschool and still did choir but did a tech program where he goes to another campus for his extracurriculars to pursue his associates early because he was an A student and good at school.

- Graduates highschool, decided not to pursue choir because he got a full ride scholarship to a good school for his great attendance/grades and to major in computer science.

- Great student, rarely acted out and went to college already with his associates.

- Breezed through his classes but prioritized studying over clubs or making friends

- Began to struggle with his mental health and being lonely, his roommate invited him to just go to dinner with his big friend group just once to take a break and try to socialize, Kinger reluctantly agrees, anxious.

- Insert Queenie. They click, because I’m pushing the “yo ur lowkey autistic I have a autistic friend do you want to meet her” ideal onto the roommate

- Kinger meshes decently well in the group, Queenie and Kinger are inseparable though, her even convincing him to join a stem society club since she’s pursuing entomology.

- Somewhere in this time Kinger finds himself doodling a tiny denture guy in the margins of his notes. (Kinger creates an oc?? Omg)

- Before they graduate, Kinger and Queenie start dating. Kingers first relationship- (his parent didn’t want him to date and to focus on school) but Queenie has had a few exes.

- Kinger pursues his Computer Science career, Queenie pursues her Entomology career and they are doing very well. They eventually get married.

- Kinger is inspired to create a software with the new discovery of Artifical Intelligence, interested in creating a sort of game that is engaging and can be a new experience and approach to technology through VR, a way for one to find an escape from reality completely, a way for someone to almost enter a whole new world.

- Kinger finds the best way to start off is by using his old character he designed as a mascot and guide, and he decides to name him like the Ai he is, Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer. Aka Eniac.

- Queenie is the one to bring up that the characters name is a big peculiar, so Kinger finds a fun way to twist it around- flipping it backwards. His characters name is Caine.

- Speeding this up a bit, basically Kinger creates the game and company. I do really love this theory. I think all the people hired, that are apart of the company are Pomni, Gangle, Ragatha- all the others. As a way to test out the software, an employee would test run the game.

- It wasn’t long after did panic ensue, realization dawning that there wasn’t a way to reverse consciousness from the game, even after they ripped the headset off to wake up the employees.

- Kinger didn’t actually want to continue the game anymore after the second person went in, through updating the software and seeing if the new person could pull the old person out- but the same results happening.

- The attention of the disappearances only spawned suspicion and rumors, catching the eye of higher ups, that actually were so impressed and intrigued with the project they offered him to keep it going, to keep up what he was doing and send more people, and it really upset him.

- Long story short, his rebelliance only got him and his wife forced into the game themselves because they surely couldn’t be set free to shine light or speak on what was going on.

- The circus is not Caines fault, he is not the antagonist and he is only trying to do what his inital programming was to do. Caine is confused and unsure why they cannot leave and tries his best. The circus is not entirely Kingers fault, it went downhill and his intentions were not ill at all, I could see how blame could be pounced onto him but he never meant for anyone to get hurt.

RRRAAH RAMBLINGS UNDER THE CUT

so ive been obsessed with the concept since i figured out what exactly happened during PowerEdd, ~2015. tom was kind of already my favorite but i only got more obsessed now that i could draw him with claws and fangs now.

when i finally got back into eddsworld this most recent time and started thinking about how i'd draw the guys i already knew i wanted tom to be trans, so when i started sketching i drew him with top surgery scars... which kind of looked like teeth... and the canon monster design already has a mouth on its chest/head... it just worked!!

ok tangent time- i dont like the canon design very much (the combined head/torso is Very limiting for poses. F!!!) but i also have never really liked the popular fanon of just making monster tom a wolf with horns and a single eye. it always feels so reductive!! do you KNOW how many monsters there are out there who are just "big dog/cat plus one fantastical feature"???? MANY!! so i was pretty determined to find a design i liked (one that was both flexible and fairly unique) before putting it in anything.

...and the partial transformation cliche of just putting accessories on a character is SUPER boring to me. so i wanted something that would be an actual halfway point to a fucked up freaky creature that is only barely humanoid.

ok back on track it took me like fuckin forever to finally get the final ~50% design together. i tried mimicking the merged torsohead of the canon monster and it just left me disappointed. :/

the single blank eye instead of the rest of the face was a god damn GENIUS move i am so proud of it im pretty sure the first time i drew the design was the actual draft sketch for the comic. because fuck making reference sheets!! the design's in your mind, right???

oh! as for the second half of your ask, the first time Tord saw Tom half transformed was right here^^!!

then a couple weeks after that i managed to find a 100% design i liked that still looked like a reasonable end point. at which point i actually made a little ref sheet! BEFORE i used the design in a comic!! it hasnt gotten much use but i still like it :)

i took a much more wyrm-like horizontal approach as opposed to the vertical design of the original, but the arms (connected to top of spine, directly behind head) and legs (close to the bottom, optional) allow it to still match the original's body plan, especially from the front view. then extra legs, big spiky scales, even larger mouth... because who wants just a dog with horns am i right!!

ahaha so basically im incredibly proud of how the design turned out so thank u for liking it :))

idk about you guys but in my bathroom my shower curtain is black. you can still see through it (depending on what time you shower) because the light from the window shines through it and you can just about see the door and any figures on the other side.

now, i don't generally get anxiety when i shower (i used to LMAO) but my boyfriend will sometime jump out at me and it gives me bad anxiety.

anyway shower thought, i was home alone the other day and like glancing through the shower curtain lowk anxious and hoping 'man i hope there isn't someone in here with me rn im naked and sooo sexy'

Watched up to ep 4 of the 3rd season of Earthspark. It got better... But this just makes me wish that episodes 2 &3 weren't one off episodes. I don't mind one off episodes, when they're generally entertaining. Best example I think of is the episodes Thirst or Scrapheap from TFP. But I just found myself getting kind of bored with episodes 2 &3.....

I'm generally more interested in the main conflict with Prowl joining the cast. But we had to wait 4 episodes to do that.

Another thing is I wish Dot was the main character. Her bond with Megatron is generally so wholesome and interesting. I want to know more about their past. But alas the kids have to be the main characters. Now I understand why; Transformers will always be a kid's franchise. And if I want more "adult" stories for myself I can always turn to the comics. But I digress.

I don't hate the Malto kids, I just think Dot and Alex make for a more interesting main characters, along with Megatron and Optimus too.

Like I'm glad we're finally getting more of them this season, cuz I missed them A LOT last season.

hi guys i spoke abt this forever ago and im speaking again bc AUUUGH I GOT REMINDED OF IT

sometime forever ago someone made a comment on how ragatha kind of ignored gangle in ep 2 and was way too hyperfocused on pomni and made the conclusion that she and gangle had beef and as cool as a thought that is I disagree and felt like sharing my thoots- no hate to this person or this point of view/take on her character btw!! i feel like I shouldn't have to say this but id really rather be safe than sorry- but "disclaimer" aside I feel like part of the reason that ragatha was so focused on pomnis well being wasn't JUST due to the fact that shes the newest cast member (it for sure was part of it I feel like it has to be more than just that-) but I think part of the reason was because of kaufmos abstraction kaufmo literally abstracted the DAY prior and nobody even had an inkling that he was about to abstract due to everyone's reactions, ragatha and gangle explaining that he abstracted in shock and zooble making the assumption that kinger would be next and could not belive he just gave up like that also, girl was actually ATTACKED by him!! she knows that the abstracted cant be saved and still got up close n personal to him to try and "calm him down" even if it was pointless and I mean based on her reactions alone even if this has happened multiple times it feels like if this was the first time shes dealt with this (which obviously isn't considering shes been here the 2nd longest) which also kinda reminded me how am from IHNMAIMS can change ted and co's nerve systems to feel everything as fresh so they don't get used to it lol but anyways anyways another interesting detail to me is that prior to the second episode drop some people did think that she was angry at pomni or held resentment here esp because of goose saying she says things just to ease tensions (which is still true BUT)

as also stated, she was actually far more concerned on wether or not pomni liked her? and was more upset that pomni seemed to be super distant towards her- shes SOOOO focused on her its crazy anywhozys I feel like part of why she seemed to "neglect" gangle and not stress about her as much was because she was probably so paranoid of pomni abstracting, she literally just witnessed her friend die in 4k can you blame her for being way all over pomni? i couldn't at least anyways this was naurt scripetd and i kinda just typed as I went w it so if this makes no sense im so sorry im not a word master <//3 tldr: ragatha was still kinda traumatized by kaufmos abstraction and hyper focused on pomni worrying shed abstract too causing her to kinda ignore gangle even when she was getting hurt as well annnyyywaays ragatha defender till i die and #1 supporter of ribbonyarn /p AND /r depending on ur take of them!!! i love her sm

I might be going full film theory on this, but just HEAR ME OUT.

At the end of the first episode, Sheriff mentions it’s been 3570 days since the big fart.

Now, I don’t know if this was intentional or not. But the angel number 3570 represents creativity and following your artistic passions. As they will make a positive impact on the world.

What I’m thinking here is that this detail is a nod to the team behind mutant busters. Which could be a bit of a stretch, but seeing as they have this included in the credits:

Its not completely unreasonable to assume this a possibility. (Also it would just be really sweet)

Now, I’m not done yet. Because 3570 days roughly translates to 9 years, 9 months, 1 week, and 4 days.

And you know what the angel number 9914 means?

Trusting your gut (essentially)

This may not relate to the creatives behind the show, but it does relate to Sheriff. Because in episode 6, he decides to trust his gut feeling, and join La Résistance. In the end that worked out for him, seeing as they saved the world and all.

Again, don’t know if that was intentional, but if it was. That’s pretty fuckin cool.

What if as well as being terrible liars, the fae absolutely suck at disguising themselves.

Like I can imagine diasomnia being protective of Silver but not being all over him and instead just follows him around in 'disguise' At one point when Silver is just hanging out with a friend at a cafe and the others thought he was on a date so of course they follow him and all is well until Silver's friend points to another table and there are Lilia, Sebek and Malleus all wearing the typical cap and sunglasses as well as fake moustaches while looking through a newspaper with holes cut into it. Silver's not impressed and calls them out and when they don't respond he walks over to them then all of a sudden Lilia shrieks 'we've been caught Malleus, cheese it!' then Malleus just grabs the other two and poofs away before Silver could lecture them.

I don't know what was going through my head when I thought of this (probably from watching brooklyn 99)

Rambling like hell for a second here.

I'm going over a list of new shows to pick up and playing games that isn't just running around thinking and writing new thing (no matter how long it takes) and I just realized.

I thought college made me unable to process new things but that wasn't the case. I was able to get something out of school that I needed for my field, but anything that usually gave me pleasure just didn't do it.

I'm remembering me watching Good Omens and OFMD and Witcher but I..I can't remember half of what happened in that show. I know I watched it but I don't remember anything at all. All the games I played were just mindless enough for me to escape from what was around me at the time.

I think it was something else entirely. I just don't know what it is.

Like, so many different pieces of media and games always have the like, childlike, chibi style. Especially roblox, and having an avatar that looks like an ADULT just feels good.
