being the eldest daughter is being a control freak and feeling responsible for everything and everyone. feeling worthless one second and then setting your breakdown aside to comfort your friend. worrying about others so much that you forget to take care of yourself. setting the highest standards for yourself and feeling like a failure when you can't achieve them. feeling like a failure all the time, really. it's setting your ambitions aside for any minor reason. teaching your siblings to learn from your mistakes, having to bear the burden of making mistakes first. fearing leaving your siblings alone when you move out. shutting down and repressing memories because you need to deal with someone else's problems.

and yet, i can't imagine being anything but the eldest daughter.

I hate cars with a burning passion.

It drives me absolutely insane that there's such an obvious solution to the overcrowding of cars, to the insane amount of space that roads and highways take up, and to the time waster that is the inevitable traffic.

I attend a community college with no dorms. Every student drives to school to and from every day that they attend. We have large layered parking lots in the front,,, we also have some in the back too. It's such a pitiful waste of space. I'm baffled at the fact there's no train station near by.

I'm sick of an America where my entire life revolves around driving. I want to walk to the store, I want to take a train to my college, i want to take the bus to go to the mall and to have more space.

The problem with embracing public transportation as a primary source of transportation isn't how people adjust, it's the fact that the entire foundation of our country's infrastructure was built on roads; bridges, highways, tolls, and adding more lanes to existing roads.

There are some walkable cities in the world that truly did it right. I am more than aware that the U.S. Isn't ready for public transportation yet, but god damn do I wish we did from the start. Now we have traffic. We have global warming, we have innumerable accidents and we have gas prices that nobody enjoys but nobody cares to do anything about. We truly were fucked from the start, and it is nothing short of disappointing being born into a world so set in stone.

I made this blog for rants and rant i shall.

I will never not cry about murderbot still not believing/being shock when it realizes someone cares for it. Because i feel that so hard in my bones. I don't know why i never feel like people actually love or care for me. I mean, its like i empirically know? My friends are absolute gems filled with love and glitter and i love them? But my brain still convinces me that if i disappear they won't think of me often/wont notice? Even writing this i know is irrational. But yeah. Murderbot has lived through *several* examples of situations where its friends didn't abandoned it, and when it happens again it's like *insert picachu meme*

Is it just me or does anybody else realize that when we have a lead trio is TV/movie pop culture, two of the three are much more popular than the third one. And if it’s a friend group with romance in it, the love interest to one of them is the less popular one. With Harry Potter, it’s Ron Weasley. With Star Wars, it’s Han Solo, then Cameron in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I was going to say Shawn from Boy Meets World, but let’s be honest, he’s very popular XD

yeah there is the prequel dialogue. the holiday special and a bunch of wacky eu stuff exists. there is plenty of legitimate criticism to be made across the spectrum of SW content, and any real fan will admit that (and probably have their own essays ready to go)

but people fell in love with Star Wars in the first place because it was really fucking good

stop excusing the painfully mid, disorganized, and just plain lazy quality of a lot of the new stuff just because of previous flaws in the franchise!

SPOILERS FOR PERFECT VOTE EVENT.

I've grown out of my 'obsessed with ptn phase' after months but the events always draw me back in. This was such a well made event (I loved the previous one too) from the art, to the voice acting, to the plot to the design and the phone/voting thing we could use. It was amazing.

And I really really really liked the characters. I didn't think I would really enjoy this event, it just did not seem my thing that much, but I loved it. I didn't see Bianca's 'betrayal' coming, I thought it would be like the DisCars event. And I really love bianca, she is so interesting. And shawn was very interesting too, her interrogation was so unexpected. And honestly, I just had fun with it. Just wanted to talk about it. 💅

Anyways CW: Transphobia

After being into Spiderman as long as I have, there's something ive realized that i havent seen mentioned anywhere. Spiderman is almost exactly like being transgender. It's easy to draw a parallel to him with the whole secret identity thing but that's not really what I'm talking about. Let me explain.

Spiderman's consistent enemy throughout almost all versions of it, is J Jonah Jameson. This will make sense in a second i swear. Spiderman, as we know, is a superhero. He doesn't hesitate to save people and is generally doing as much as he can to save the city. Depsite this, Jameson always spins the picture. "Spiderman vandalizes the city." "Spiderman is a villain not to be trusted." "Spiderman is a menace to society." No matter who Spiderman saves or how good of a person he is, Jameson and his followers will always hate him and think of him as the bad guy.

If you're even remotely aware of modern day America (as well as other parts of the world,) trans people are looked down apon in almost every picture. Trans people (much like Peter Parker), want to simply live a normal life and are inevitably roped into whole other identity, forced to just deal with it. And the worst part is no matter what good you do, who you help or who you save, it doesn't matter. J Jonah (symbolizing conservatives in this scenario) will wait for any and all moments that spiderman messes up and does something poorly and that will be the only story covered, in hopes of ruining his public Image. Honestly this is one of the reasons I've been so into Spiderman because it's crazy how relatable a completely different situation can be.
