shika (she/her), the self-appointed leader, is an overachiever with a short fuse. her arrogance often gets the best of her. her best friend, thorne (he/him) is a tortured romantic who yearns to find his soulmate.

dorian (he/him) is a hedonistic egomaniac with little regard for anyone but himself. but he can't seem to deny his attraction to shika. nur (they/them) is fiercely loyal as they are funny. cursed at birth to die young, they live each day to the fullest.

meanwhile, ari (ze/zir) loves stirring the cauldron with zir knack for drama and always has the lastest gossip to share. ari is doing zir best to keep the group's dark secret under wraps—for once.

only i would have a whole sims dump inspire me to start a new save again...sigh! anyways, hope you enjoy using them as much as i did creating them including the lore. i had way to much fun connecting with the sims 4 game lore (which could definitely use some improvements). also know that you can easily change them to be young adults, humans, if you want to use them for other storytelling or gp reasons or don't play with occults a lot.

The Groudon and Kyogre motif on the final inside floor of the lighthouse. Insane how this is hidden here, the normal angle you'd even get a chance to see it at is this:

This is barely noticable. Going up the stairs to the top gives you a split second to see it a bit clearer before you load out, but even still. Blink, and you *will* miss it.

The other legendary pokemon appearance is found at Realgam Tower.

Even with this one being a bit more obvious than the other, I didn't notice these until last year! CRT screens would likely have originally obscured this.

Another neat little detail-- the widechu.

I could fill up several posts with cool looking environmental stuff but instead I'll just post this pleasing looking kitchen. See if you can guess where this is!

God nintendo saying emulation is illegal is still making me mad.

Emulation is LEGAL

If you have a game cartrage you can dump the files to do what you want with them.

Roms are LEGAL

Homebrew games are LEGAL

Nintendo is thinking of PIRACY, which yes is illegal. BUT can be better controlled much easier if Nintendo fucking oh idk made their old games available for cheap instead of making a copy of donkey kong for the n64 nigh impossible to find.

But tea you say they remastered it. I dont care. I want to play the n64 version I played as a kid. Not a remake. People still worked on the original games, and while they may look kinda crappy now its still so so important to make sure that they are preserved.

oh lmao I assume this is re: the adhd understimulation post but unfortunately I was homeschooled through the entirety of middle and high school so the most disruptive thing I ever did as a small child was distract everyone sitting near me with my Cool Drawings™ (mostly pokemon and wolves) and all the years I was old enough to have been getting into any real trouble at school I was just. Alone in my room. Not doing my schoolwork because I was unsupervised.

One of my missions as a Retroid owner is to experience Borderlands in the absolute worst way possible. I’ve concluded this feat would best be achieved by using this bootleg Android emulation machine to run the unstable and experimental Vita emulator and emulating the already-terrible Vita port of Borderlands 2, which IGN once described as “at its best…like your Vault Hunter is fighting underwater with dumbbells strapped to their ankles” and “like playing an MMO on dial-up”

I don’t post much about my hobby projects bc I don’t think most of my followers would be all that interested in them, but never the less, a ROM hacking project I started late last year hit an important milestone today!

It doesn’t look like much (bc I purposely limited the output) but I’ve reached the point where I can start extracting the game’s script directly from the ROM file, for an eventual translation!

Let me tell you, identifying a little over 700 separate Kanji as a non-Japanese speaker was a trip 😵‍💫

Smth I’ve thought about ever since I first saw wreck it ralph is that in universe king candy is basically an irl creepypasta. Like he’s a racer that only exists in this one specific sugar rush cabinet, every other version off the game has princess vanellope. Literally no one knows he exists except for ppl who went to this one small arcade in the United States. And if the code for sugar rush has been dumped there is no trace of king candy bc he only exists in this one cabinet. I bet there’s ppl who traveled cross country just to see if king candy actually exists.

And then after the movie king candy disappears from the roster forever and is replaced by vanellope but she’s different than every other vanellope, different outfit different personality different kart different voice lines etc

It’s literally that one arcade cabinet creepypasta discussions and YouTube videos about it in universe must be crazy.
