It's also only... vaguely about them, being more of a general poem reflecting two similar, but opposing individuals. Both different, yet connected; closely tied. Secluded wither, but supported, thrive. With feelings neither one could ever hide, Together, rose and blackthorn feel alive.

They cling, and twist, and grow in in their own way: The blackthorn takes his time, he ripens slow, The rose, instead grows fast, then wilts away. A balance - summer's heat, and winter's snow.

Both sharp and fierce, though softness also lies Within; a berry dark, a flower red. Their thorns and prickles choke, but too, growthwise, Protect. Their love not harsh, but sweet instead.

Two lovely boys, just like the flora strong, Root in each other's hearts, their whole lives' long.
