i would like an order of rogue of life analysis with a side of planet pleas :3
The Rogue of Life [symbols: domino mask, vines]
The Rogue class is based on Robin Hood.
The Life aspect’s main theme is growth. You can find its official description here.
A Rogue of Life is among those who use energy to influence. This is the “classpect group” they belong to. Members include: the Knight, Page, Thief, and Rogue of Life/Doom. These classes are all opposites or inverses of each other that use the Life/Doom dichotomy (energy to influence). A description of classpect groupings can be found here.
The Rogue of Life passively steals the Life aspect. Passive classes are guided by others or act for the benefit of others. They are more likely to be kind, but less likely to stand up for themselves. Thieves and Rogues steal their aspect and everything it symbolizes to grant it to someone else. Simplified, the Rogue of Life is motivated by others to steal growth.
In personality, the Rogue of Life lacks self control and keeps trying even if they fail. Personality descriptions can be found here.
Their archetype is the Free Spirit Child, defined by reckless growth. Archetypes are explained here.
Their opposite is the Thief of Doom, who actively steals caution.
Their inverse is the Knight of Doom, who actively utilizes caution.
A classpect or “god tier” is an individual’s best self. All classpects go through a journey from unrealized, to struggle, to realized. When a character is unrealized, they neutrally exist as their inverse. On their struggle, they will wildly flip back and forth between their inverse and true classpect. In their worst moments they will act as their inverse, in their best their true classpect. When realized, they will stabilize as their true classpect. They will still have room to grow, but will become happier, more successful people.
This means that the Rogue of Life begins life motivated by themselves to utilize caution. When their struggle arrives and they are at their worst, they will continue this behavior in negative extremes. However, when at their best, they will find purpose in instead stealing growth for others. When realized, they will stabilize and continue to steal the Life aspect passively, in a positive way.
They share their archetype with the Heir of Heart, the Child Free Spirit.
The Rogue of Life would quest on a planet similar to the Land of Cubes [Rogue] and Life [Aspect]. An example would be the Land of Topiaries and Spores. An explanation of planet naming conventions can be found here.
Two possible gods, or denizens, to reign over their planet would be Hebe (Goddess of Youth) or Asclepius (God of Medicine). Other Life aspect denizens can be found here.
When the Rogue of Life completes their planet quests and dies on their quest bed, they would rise to ascension on the wings of butterflies (symbols of pollination). A list of soul animals can be found here.
The characters that I have currently classpected as Rogues of Life are: Robin Hood from English Folklore, Poison Ivy from Batman, Arwen from Lord of the Rings, Rogue from X-Men, Norma Jennings from Twin Peaks, and a Spirit of Compassion from Dragon Age.
If any of the links not connected to my blog break, the content can be found on my Google Drive.
Official Aspect Descriptions Personality Descriptions Aspect Denizens
Please specify in a separate ask whether you would like planet naming ideas or a description of a planet quest! We serve most everything here, except beetroot.

LIFE PLAYERZ ONLY
as with the prev polls: if you consider multiple, i suggest going for the one u feel aligned with currently/most often, which one u wanna represent in a poll like this, whichever has the most compelling role/narrative, whatever works for U. classpecting is very subjective, and fluid for a lot of people.
i actively encourage discussion in the notes or my inbox of what your class and aspect mean to u. simple or lengthy, i wanna hear it :J
excluding master classes bc no space for em, sorry.
for those who cant vote: i’d appreciate u passing the poll along. also, i’ll post updates throughout the week on how it’s going so everyone can have a peek inside. thank u

Thieves & Rogues: Inundation and Redistribution
A day late, I'm aware; turning 18 will do that to a girl. I'm now older, and definitely not wiser.
The Thieves & Rogues are another contentious group; particularly the Thieves for various discourse-generating reasons - but the Rogues have their pitfalls and fall victim to mischaracterisation a lot more than you'd assume.
The Thief:Rogue dichotomy embodies inundation, redistribution and possession. It's the authority over who gets to hold their Aspect for themselves; whether it's them or somebody else, that's what being a Redistribution Class is about.
There's often some insecurity about their capacity to hold it in play as well - and they tend to use a lot of their opposite Aspect's forces; after all, what do you get when you take something but the absence of it, and therefore its opposite?
Canonical Thief players are Vriska Serket (Thief of Light) and Meenah Peixes (Thief of Life).
Canonical Rogue players are Roxy Lalonde (Rogue of Void), Nepeta Leijon (Rogue of Heart), and my arch-nemesis Rufioh Nitram (Rogue of Breath).
Point A - the narrative function of the Thief.
The Thief is the one with active distribution of their Aspect; and therefore the one liable to actively steal it. This, on paper, sounds pretty nasty - there's a reason why Thieves are lumped in with the nebulously 'bad' classes; but it's a neutral role with possible applications in either sense.
They often hold a deep-seated obsession with their Aspect; they think it's something that's out to get them and conflate an excess of it with an absence. Their perceived lack of it motivates them to hoard it, as much as possible.
Vriska Serket, the Thief of Light, is contentious for a damn good reason. Imbued with ungodly plot armour and fortune's favour, she seizes control of the narrative by force, all the while bemoaning her unlucky streak & employing the most unsubtle methods of manipulation she can think to use.
Meenah Peixes, the Thief of Life... does not understand the consequences of her actions; period. She thinks Life is out to get her, exacts every bit of free will she has out of spite and cultivates discourse and stagnation to try and encourage character development. (Oh, yeah, she also... kills people. Like, a lot.)
Their opposite Aspects are, therefore, pretty prevalent! By taking away their Aspect; they leave the inverse behind.
Vriska stealing Light leaves Void. Meenah stealing Life leaves Doom.
Often, it's almost as if they're using their inverse to cultivate their actual Aspect; Vriska uses offscreen events to justify onscreen developments - it's how she 'takes luck'. Meenah uses suffering and control in order to encourage growth - it's how she 'takes life'.
They care very little for their Aspect at the centre of it all, despite their perceived obsession; they don't seem to understand the value of it at all. That's the interesting part, I feel.
Point B, the practical function of the Thief.
Now, taking the Aspect is a very powerful ability in the right hands. We don't just see Vriska metaphorically rob fortune, she literally steals luck from her enemies mid-fight and utilises chance and possibility in order to get the upper hand.
Meenah takes 'taking life' about as seriously as you can get - not only does she really like killing people, but as the Condesce everything she did resulted in stagnation and decay in her wake as she robbed the worlds she ruled of the ability to develop; using control and hegemony to cultivate development and failing miserably.
The opposing Aspect, again, plays a prominent role! Vriska forgoes certainty and manipulates the absence of a definitive outcome to play around with luck. Meenah forgoes development and enacts control on the people beneath her to play around with change.
Point C, the narrative function of the Rogue.
I'm gonna use the Thief's concluding point as the jumpoff point for the Rogues; whereas the Thief devalues their Aspect, the Rogue puts too much stock in its importance. Their Aspect is too important to them; and so their relationship with it differs.
Passive classes tend to act without realising it, and the Rogues are no different - I'd argue their presence often leads to their Aspect being taken in a way they don't realise they're doing.
Roxy Lalonde, Rogue of Void, is desperate for attention, and yet obfuscates knowledge, is isolated from all society and would rather get drunk at the start of her arc than face the truth of her situation. I'd argue that she downplays her own importance as a person in the face of her friends' catastrophic communication failures. By being around, she takes the Void from her session and opens up ways to communicate whilst learning to give irrelevance to things.
Nepeta Leijon, Rogue of Heart, puts people into boxes. She makes them into little cariacatures on her walls, plays matchmaker in her stories; and yet she's also one of the most emotionally mature and genuine trolls in the story - she wears her Heart on her sleeve, and doesn't deny it. By being around, she takes the Heart from her friends by way of drawing out truer selves, as we see in her relationship with the insecure & disingenuous Equius.
Rufioh Nitram, Rogue of Breath, takes people's sense of purpose and direction and makes their agency depend on his presence in their life. He does Damara and Horuss dirty time and time again, and yet they can't cut him off because he's made himself too important. And yet there he is, spineless, giving away his own free will because he holds no security in his selfhood. He's trapping people in relationships without realising. I also want to drop an anvil on his head.
The common thread, despite the differing situations, is the indirect usage of the opposing Aspect to passively take away the true Aspect and the character development involving a realisation of their Aspect's value and the importance of keeping it for oneself. Roxy is the only Rogue whose development we see in full, unfortunately; but there's snippets with Nepeta and Rufioh Nitram changing isn't happening any time soon.
Point D, then. The practical function of the Rogue.
Once again, Roxy is our only point of reference by virtue of being the only God-Tiered Rogue; but luckily, she also gives us some really good demonstrations. Roxy literally takes the nonexistence away from something, bringing it into existence.
Inversely, she's capable of giving Void to herself, cloaking herself and by extension her whole session in a veil of invisibility. She's controlling the distribution of Void, letting it both be taken and given; after making her peace with the distribution of it.
So, the common thread is the central question of 'who gets to have my Aspect?'
A Thief would tell you 'me', and a Rogue would tell you 'anyone else'. That's what I feel separates them, and yet don't let that convince you that Thieves are bad and Rogues are good; look at Rufioh. A Thief may take for altruistic reasons, and a Rogue may give away for... not so altruistic reasons!
Get creative with it, that's what I say. How about a Thief of Doom who takes on everyone else's suffering because they're self-sacrificial to a fault? ...Okay, actually, that's my idea, don't take that one.
Anyhow, next week I'll be concluding the 'normal' classes with the Maids and Sylphs! Should be fun, I'll see you then - hopefully on time, too.

DDLC classpecting post
Monika: Seer of Light (knows info/relevance/importance for others)
I'm sure on Monika, she's the kind, passive, friendly advice giver, and her relevance/info/importance fixation is obvious. She definitely inverts to Witch of Void a little bit, but only because she's in a dire situation. When you sit down and talk to her, she's very focused on helping others with her knowledge
Sayori: Rogue of Life (takes growth/joy/health for others)
Sayori... I mean, all you have to do is read the bottle poem, and you will get it, i think. She chills in the background and gives her friends joy when they need it. However, as is common for Rogues, she also struggles with feeling like she's not needed. And like all Rogues, she is a treasure
Natsuki: Thief of Heart (takes emotion/identity/passion for self)
Natsuki being herself seems like some sort of radical action for her. She's definitely a rule-breaker type, and it's not immediately obvious just how beaten down by the world she really is. Thief is the class of "I need to get my needs met before anything else," and Natsuki seems willing to cross boundaries to get her needs met in some ways, with her hidden passions and such. She cares a lot about not judging people for their desires and interests, which i think is Heartful.
Yuri: Witch of Doom (changes cost/restriction/pain for self)
Yuri is so fixated on pain, which rings Doombound to me. Witches are troublemakers, and Yuri does enjoy doing things a bit differently with her poetry, showing others the beauty in darker things. She also changes herself for her own benefit, wearing something of a mask, which is a Witch thing, and um... well, her personality gets very exaggerated, but the idea of having someone to show her true self underneath that mask to is very romantic to her.

:3 could you analyze rogue of life since that's my classpect?
Of course!!! ROGUE: One who steals its Aspect and replaces it with another of the Aspect LIFE: Nature, Growth, Life Span, Physical Body, Life Energy
The Rogue of Life would have the ability to orchestrate the transfer of Life itself. For Nature, this means the Rogue of Life would be able to swap the vitality of plants. If there's an invasive, harmful species that's choking out native plantlife, the Rogue of Life would be able to swap how healthy the invasive plants are with how badly the native plants are doing. In this way the Rogue acts as a keeper of the scales, ensuring the balance of Nature is never tilted too far to one side.
For Growth, this could have to do with one's personal growth. The Rogue would be able to resolve blockages in a player's growth if they were willing to sacrifice someone else's. They could take an NPC that already learned an important life lesson and swap that life experience with their friend's, basically speedrunning their character arc. This could have detriments, like the player becoming too dependant on their intense internal conflicts being solved by the snap of two fingers, but it would be an effective short-term solution.
For Life Span, the Rogue of Life would be able to transfer the lifespan of an immortal to themself or their friends, which would be useful if the Rogue of Life wants their non-God Tiered friend to live as long as the Ascended Sessionmates. In an Alternian session, the natural lifespan of a higher-blood could be transferred to a lower-blood to buy them more time until they find their Quest Bed/Sacrificial Slab.
The Rogue of Life would also be able to literally swap bodies. Body Swap Episode!! This could also mean the Rogue could swap aspects of a body with another, meaning they could steal someone's strength, stamina, or muscle mass. Like swapping someone's stats! The Rogue must be careful, though, to keep that balance of muscle mass and strength they want to steal, else the effects would be...less than pleasant on an unprepared body. This would be very good for people with body dysmorphia, at least. Who needs plastic surgery when the Rogue of Life can snap their fingers? This also provides interesting infiltration techniques- if the Rogue can kidnap an enemy and knock them out, they could assume their body and sneak into the enemy base to steal intel. They could potentially impersonate the Black King or Queen and steal their rings if they're clever enough...
Life Energy relates to the full capabilites of the human body. The hard limits to your stamina and how much your muscles are capable of. A Rogue of Life, as said, would be able to swap a person's max stamina and strength, but this could also mean the Rogue steals someone's passive healing ability (how much HP you regenerate over time) and transfers it with a weaker ally's. Basically getting their ally a better immune system, which leads me to think this can be done for other damaged parts of the body. If there's an ally that would like to have their physical disability cured, the Rogue could swap their disability with an able-body person, transferring the disability.

Baizhu is a Rogue of Life
A Rogue of Life is someone who takes distributes healing and fixes to others.
He takes healing prowess from Changsheng and gives it out to anyone who needs medicine. He has a strong drive to overcome perhaps the biggest obstacle a mortal can face: death.
Also works with the common theory that Rogues never seem to be able to keep their aspect for themselves.

i was planning on making a sburb au of the cast of tgwdlm, but ive been having a problem classpecting, to start, im gonna ask you to classpect emma perkins :) heres her personality description from her wikj page
“On the surface, Emma appears to have a very laissez-faire, almost apathetic view of the world which is matched with her sardonic sense of humour. However, deep down she has a more passionate view of life. She often speaks her mind but also does what she can to help others. Emma has major commitment issues, particularly in her relationships. Much like Paul Matthews, she has a somewhat distaste for musicals. Her personality differs based on her experiences in each timeline. In The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, Emma generally appears very snarky and sarcastic but also somewhat resigned whereas in Black Friday she appears more hopeful in how she wants to build a relationship with her family. In Forever and Always, Emma appears far less committed to life, having had none of the influence of Paul or her sister's death as such she generally appears more care free. In Perky's Buds, Emma appears committed to her farm and exhibits much more of the stoner aspect of her personality. She refuses to back down against aversion.”
This is NOT I repeat this is NOT a sign to send in characters for classpecting. We don’t do that anymore. We only very occasionally make stupid jokes and then disappear into the void. Let this be our legacy.

:3 could you do a page of breath + rogue of life + bard of rage fraymotif plz?
Page/Breath + Rogue/Life + Bard/Rage Aviating Page & Fizzled Bard
The Bard of Rage becomes aggravated, and the Rogue shuffles the Bard's Energy from all the bard's rage into the page. all the energy allows the Page to temporarily enter awakened state and perform acts of a full-power realized page. Meanwhile, the Bard has no energy to go on a rampage, therefore allowing him to calm down safely.
Gaining the temporarily help of a full-out page while preventing any Rage Bard outburst consequences. A Very situational but helpful fraymotif.

Witch of Breath + Life Fraymotifs
Expiring Vivace
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Witch of Life [one who manipulates and manipulates through life, growth, and progression] (Feferi Peixes)
Expiring (from Ex, meaning outward, and spiration, or breathing. Also to reach the end of your lifespan.) + Vivace (meaning lively, louder, faster, brightly)
Okay this is the first of the lot and we're already getting silly. Generally, when two Heroes of the same Class work together, their abilities resonate off each other, compounding them into something more powerful than with an unrelated Classpect. The Witch of Life overloads the target with Life energy, causing them to become completely saturated with it; then the Witch of Breath would free the trapped life energy, which would drag the Target's life force with it as it rapidly escapes. Nothing like living to death, I suppose.
The rest under the cut
Progression Ostinato
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Sylph of Life [one who heals and heals through life, growth, and progression]
Progression (like growth and as in chord progression) + Ostinato (when a phrase or motif is persistently repeated)
Kinda boring for the name, but amazing for a healer build. The Witch detaches the Sylph's healing powers from them and allows it to move around the battle as a moving passive healing source, also granting their allies increased agility so that the Sylph is not defenseless or powerless.
Jewelweed Jamboree
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Knight of Life [one who protects and protects through life, growth, and progression]
Jewelweed (a type of flower that uses explosions for seed dispersal. Yes, this is a real thing) + Jamboree (a large celebration or party, typically a lavish and boisterous one)
The Knight will encase their allies in a perfect shield of vines and wood, which will then explode outward with a blast of air from the Witch, the shrapnel repaying any damage it sustained to the opponents in full.
Shucks Bluster
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Maid of Life [one who serves and serves through life, growth, and progression] (Jane Crocker)
Shucks(, Buster) + Bluster (relating to strong winds)
The Maid maintains the life force of their allies while the Witch summons a hurricane to consume the entire battlefield. Simple but effective.
Sforzando Tempest
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Page of Life [one who becomes and becomes fully realized through life, growth, and progression]
Sforzando (suddenly, full, all at once) + Tempest (an incredibly violent windstorm)
Pages are kind of limited due to them naturally having the slowest progression and growth. This is doubly so for the Page of Life who has yet to come into their own as a Hero of growth and progress. The Witch of Breath can only temporarily unlock the barrier keeping the Page down, but when they do, the Page would immediately and automatically use their Life powers to rapidly progress, growing in sheer power exponentially. With their command over Life unbound, the Witch acts as a beacon of freedom through which the Page can command Life and growth further than even a Sylph of Life or Maid of Life could. This requires great focus from the Witch due to how intrinsic that limiter is to the Page Class, and Sforzando Tempest does not last forever.
Now, if the Page was further along in development, then they would naturally progress faster than Pages of different Aspects, and the Witch would have to focus less to initiate this rapid onset character progression. Then, most of the Witch's abilities would instead of being used for removing the limits of the Page's Class, be put to removing the limits of the Page's Aspect. I honestly don't think anyone around the Page during Sforzando Tempest would be able to die. Just, they don't have the ability to die anymore, for a bit. Not to mention a huge stat boost across the board.
This is a different kind of potential reaching than Aranea with Jake “Tally Ho” English, as this is more of a "removing the game mechanic holding them back" instead of the "healing the personal block keeping you from fully realizing your potential" we see in the comic. That and this combo is a Fraymotif instead of a plain use of God-tier abilities, so this is on another level entirely on top of functionally being a special attack.
Epic of Bouzygai’s Movement
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Heir of Life [one who inherits and ascends through life, growth, and progression]
Epic (a long story, tale, and/or song) + Bouzygai (Character from Greek Myth credited with many agricultural inventions) + Movement (a self-contained musical form; like the song equivalent of a chapter)
The path of ascension is far smoother for an Heir than a Page, and doubly so for an Heir of Life. The Witch would free the Heir from their conditionally immortal form, causing the Heir to literally become their Aspect for a time, and the Aspect would act and function to the will of the Heir, who's motives naturally align with said will anyway. All healing, growth, desire, progress, and potential within the scope of the Fraymotif would be at the behest of the Heir for a time.
Holly Habanera
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Mage of Life [one who understands and understands through life, growth, and progression]
Holly (a berry plant with thorns on its leaves) + Habanera (a style of dance music popular in the 18th century)
The Mage summons sharp or thorny vines to grow across the whole battlefield, that the Witch detaches from the ground and cyclone around the enemies razor-leaf style. The Mage's magic powers cause them to continuously grow while air-borne, tangling the enemies in the damaging plantlife.
Sottea Leaf Voce
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Seer of Life [one who knows and knows through life, growth, and progression]
Tea Leaf (as in reading tea leaves as a form of divining the future) + Sotto Voce (With hushed voicing; in a hushed manner)
The Seer detects all life sources in the vicinity, then determines how the health of their allies will change in the imminent future. The Witch uses their abilities to detach the favored parties from the events that would lead up to that.
Spirattacca
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Thief of Life [one who steals and steals through life, growth, and progression] (Meenah Peixes)
Spir- (aspirate, to breathe; spirit, or life force) + Attacca (attached to)
The Witch allows the Thief's powers to flow through and permeate a crowd, setting in leeching seeds that will drain the afflicted targets of their life force. The Witch can then forcibly expel them from the target, turning the sprouts into projectiles similar to a frag grenade.
Piacavole Sigh
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Rogue of Life [one who redistributes and redistributes through life, growth, and progression]
Piacavole (pleasant, agreeable) + Sigh (sigh)
The Rogue guide the Witch's wind powers to draw out some of the Life of the target through the target's exhalation. The breath, carrying the Life energy of the target, is spread across the Witch's allies, invigorating them with a fraction of the target's vitality and powers
Respiro Finale
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Prince of Life [one who destroys and destroys through life, growth, and progression]
Respiro (Italian for Breath) + Finale (Ending, conclusion, final)
The Witch directs the Prince's life-destroying abilities to accelerate the death of the target through asphyxiation, while the Witch floods the target's lungs with air, but prevents any air from leaving.
Soprano Spores
Witch of Breath [one who manipulates and manipulates through freedom, detachment, and wind] + Bard of Life [one who allows the destruction of and invites destruction through life, growth, and progression]
Soprano (the highest voice in a chorus) + Spores (reproductive cells of plants, fungi, and some bacteria)
This one's honestly more brutal than Respiro Finale; The Witch directs the winds to carry the Bard's powers in the form of plant spores to the target, to which the Bard and Witch work together to unlock the upper bounds of the plant spore's limit of growth, causing the target to have plants and mushrooms and vines destroy their body from the inside, leaving an overgrown corpse.

:3 um could you analyze The Pilferer Of Kin? (Rogue of Life + Thief of Blood) epic blog btw
ABSOLUTELY And also thanksss <3 (combined classpects by @superxstarzz)
-------------PILFERER OF KIN-------------
A Pilferer of Kin steals an aspect through an aspect
YOOOO hello fellow thief B3
also rogue of life is similar to Meenah but the passive class :0
The pilferer of kin is likely a pretty jealous person when it comes to their friends. They're kinda like someone who you expect to be really mean and snobby, but end up actually being chill. They're the one who brings snacks and pays for others when they forget their own money (They prolly are just a big fan of the five finger discount, though ;3.) . They're actually pretty nice as long as they like you/don't feel threatened by you. they are pretty good at making friends, and getting others to trust them. They can use that trust to get groups of people to do what they need.
They might have some manipulative tendencies, which most of the time, isn't intentional.
Before the game, they might try to bribe people into being friends cause they really don't know why someone may or may not want friends if there's no benefit. When they get into the game, they'll heavily rely on others, getting people to focus on them and helping them god tier before any one else does.
powers likely include healing, and causing illness. their powers really aren't much, so they'll prolly get other's todo all the work for them, and heal them in return.
Weapons will prolly be stuff that wouldn't normally be considered a weapon when used correctly, like hairbrushes, forks, wands, or maybe even a phone if they can figure out how to weaponize it. definitely smaller things.
