I just arrived in this page and im in love with your artstyle and Kiri x rotxo stuff 😭😭❣ (perhaps i could ask about any headcanons that you may have about them or show more content about them?? IM OBSESSED❣)

And oh my god happily,, 

I just love the idea of Rotxo being immediately head over heels for her, he’s so determined to court her he tries everything in his book to prove himself a worthy partner! Cue heaps of Metkayina courting attempts. 

But poor Kiri has so much obviously on her mind she’s either completely unaware or doesn’t know how to react — maybe we can throw in some angst and say her uncertainty is her insecurity about whether she’s proper Na’vi or not! Maybe she doesn’t think she’ll be able to provide what he wants in a relationship with her, because she knows she’s not ‘normal’ and can do things others can’t 👀 

So she thinks Rotxo has this fantasy of them growing old, all lovey dovey on the reef when she’s already lost hope of ever having a relaxing life after Quaritch came back into the picture. So Rotxo pursuing her makes her sad because she doesn’t think she’ll be able to provide that safe normalcy for him 😭

In reality Rotxo doesn’t want a normal life, he just wants Kiri 🥺

I like to think Metkayina courting is him spending extra time with Tuk, subtly showing her he can take care of her family. Or maybe hunting rare fish to cook for her after she goes through another seizure? Bringing her meals to show he can provide food. Maybe if she eats the food he thinks it’s a sign she’s interested too when in reality she was just hungry and doesn’t understand Metkayina courting rituals nskjsj 

Rotxo totally lives in an all female family I feel this to my core, so he cooks her meals based on what the women in his family enjoy best.

Apparently Tonowari likes Rotxo around Aonung because he’s a good influence bahah, I take that as meaning Rotxo doesn’t seek out conflict. So it’d be interesting if he starts acting out more when Kiri comes into the picture, which is very unlike him, so the whole tribe notices quick.

Imagine Rotxo asking for Neytiri’s approval, only to find out Kiri’s birth mother is actually in a tank in the Omatikaya forest, and so he goes out of his way to meet Grace and speak to her regardless of him being out of his element and in dangerous territory. It’s tradition, so he takes it very seriously. 

I just love the idea that Kiri is just this special spirit whisperer that attracts all these gentle creatures and Rotxo is one of them 😭

Okay to ask this question I need to give my opinion so here goes

Kiri and spider’s relationship is not platonic that just how I feel I know there are many people who would argue but the chemistry is there and you can see it maybe I’m wrong but thats just what I think I see signals and clicks and other things that show they truly care about each other more then in a sibling way

That’s just how I see it now to my question in YOUR God honest opinion what do you think their relationship is platonic or something else

I respectfully disagree. I know I used to like the idea of them, but after realizing a couple things, I decided I love them more as platonic soulmates. Let's get into it!

After reading the comics, for example, I get the impression that Kiri really does see Spider as her family, specifically her brother:

And it makes sense. They're orphans of war and feel like outsiders among the people they hang out with. They understand each other more than anyone, but I don't see it as romantic.

And I'll admit, I have trouble shipping them with the knowledge that Kiri is played by a 74 year old actress (Sigourney Weaver for the win) while Spider's actor is clearly not (Jack Champion also for the win). I wouldn't think James Cameron would take the romance route knowing this as well, but I don't know.

If they take the Spider Sully route in future movies, I'll probably ship it even less so since they'll be adopted siblings.

This is just my opinion, but I respect yours, and I love the fact that you see them that way. Ain't nothing wrong with love 😊 Pandora clearly has enough to go around.

Conclusion: No, I don't ship them romantically together. But that's okay. Rotxo will hold both of their hands for me 👀 (I don't ship it, but I like the idea of the three of them being so sweet to each other)

Ships that I like involving Spider:

Lo'ak x Spider (much like Kiri x Spider, they still feel like outsiders to everyone but each other, and Lo'ak clearly would do anything to save Spider)

Ao'nung x Spider (I like the angst that this would ensue, big bully 'Nung realizing he likes the little demon that hangs around the Sullys)

Rotxo x Spider (my sweet boys, end of story)

Neteyam x Spider (again, more angst because they were likely close when they were younger, but Neteyam probably pulled away due to Neytiri's influence and his responsibilities as future olo'eyktan)

Spider brainrot

I've seen this before but he did his hair in the dreads to try and mimic Jake; no one ever really taught him how to maintain or care for his hair. After getting taken, his hair is in such bad condition they shave it to his scalp.

It grows back curly and darker than he expected. It takes a while to thicken but Kiri rubs salves and oils into his hair to help. When its finally back in decent shape she and Tsireya go to town braiding an styling it.

He ends up with longer hair eventually that is in Viking braids to the back of his head, then it's a messy bunch of curls down to his shoulders.

Once he is accepted into the family, Neytiri helps him braid in family beads to remind him that he's theirs now. It's small but she needs him to know she's there.

Tuk likes to collect shells and pretty stones to make jewelry and she ends up using some to braid into his hair - her other siblings don't let her but Spider can seriously not say no to her

He and Tsireya get along a lot better than anyone expected

After getting tortured and having to deal with so much so fast, her calming presence does really well for him. Plus, he has all the blackmail she could want on Lo'ak

They also are both secret gossips and will sneak away for "lessons" where they ride her ilu and talk shit

Rotxo takes a special liking to Spider and it freaks Ao'nung and Lo'ak the fuck out

Netyam (cause he's alive here bitch) is hovering constantly trying to make sure he's not getting bullied but they just genuinely vibe together

Rotxo has a crush on Spider and Kiri. They both know about him liking the other but not themselves.

Spider is demi/bi, Kiri is demi/ace, Lo'ak is bi, Neteyam is gay, Tisreya has no damn clue, Ao'nung is bi but closeted, and Rotxo is pan.

About half the younger na'vi love Spider cause funny little monkey boy and y'know, life is already weird and the other half woul lowkey drown him if left alone

Scrapped Rotxo/Kiri (Rotxo x Kiri) Scene from a future Fanfic

Ok. Ok so get this, I’m working on a 5+1 Rotxo/Kiri centric fic, and I start writing times they’ve interacted. Then I’m like shit, when else did they interact other than the intro, bully scene, swim scene? So far so good. AND THEN I LOOK IT UP AND ROTXO WASNT IN AONUNG’S GANG WHO BULLIED KIRI AND LO’AK??

First of all. So good, so good. Makes the ship 10x better in my opinion—IF ONLY I HADNT ALREADY STARTED WRITING MY PROMPT WITH THE BULLYING SCENE.

Whatever, I’m just going to toss it out here TT. The premise of this prompt is 5+1 times Rotxo unknowingly caught and acted on a crush, and the one time he did so knowingly. Supposedly, this was time 2 which I had to have scrapped. Mind you, it’s not edited, lengthened or beta corrected since it’s purely scrap now. Anyways, enjoy!

Rotxo had to admit, bullying the unfamiliar na’vi was kind of a shitty thing to do. Was she different? Yes. Was she a little weird about the ocean? Double yes. Did she have five fingers, a definite mutation that was, in entirely a genetic standpoint, not normal? Triple yes. Did she—okay. He was totally getting off the rail here.

What he was trying to say, was that he felt a little bad cursing at the poor girl. Especially when Aonung took it a little too far and got absolutely beat to hell and back by the tiny forest na’vi who coincidentally had the same odd genetic mutation. Maybe not that little, but, you know. Same thing, they had taken it too far in the end.

He also did not fancy waking up the next morning with a throbbing black eye, so he let Aonung do the heavy punching and just… stayed back. Maybe pulled on Lo’ak’s tail a bit. Grabbed a leg or two.

Look, he didn’t want to look too pathetic in front of her! It was a matter of pride, yes, of pride. He couldn’t look weak infront of the new na’vi and have her think he was just a henchman, or worse.

Rotxo tries to think really hard about anything but him being a henchman. Aonung simply had… specific ideals on how to handle situations. He was just trying to do the good thing and be a supportive bestfriend! He was also the chief’s first born son, so no one was trying that hard to get on his bad side. What? Being his friend gave him some pretty sweet privilages. Like… wow. Maybe Rotxo really was just a henchman, and for no particularily good reason either.

Whatever, he’d deal with that problem later. For now, he’d just worry about getting the shorter forest na’vi off of his friend. Which was proving to be kind of difficult, like he had his claws in Aonung’s skin and refused to be seperated from him. Ugh, even Rotxo in his most desperate days didn’t want to be that close to him.

He must’ve said that out loud though, or at least made a noise of disgust gripping onto Lo’ak’s leg, because at a quick glance he could see the girl giggling, mouth hidden behind a pretty, thin hand. She was looking straight at him, soft laughter filling his ears. His ears burned at the sight.

Yeah, he definitely could not look like an idiot in front of her. Which was why he attempted to push Lo’ak’s legs down and finally end the fight, incapacitate him most likely. Except he got kicked in the knee, repeatedly. Then also straight in the balls.

Eywa, he was really starting to hate the Suli siblings. Almost as much as he hated the Tonowari’s, mischievous and ruthless in whatever they wanted to do. Freaking nepotism babies, Rotxo moaned in his head, curling over in pain. Children of the Olo’eyktan’s were all different breeds of annoyances. He’d definitely get Aonung back for this later, dump raw fish juice on him while he was sleeping for dragging him into this mess.

Yeah, he’d definitely do that, Rotxo mused as he let himself just lay down in the sand, face first. He really did not want to see the pretty forest girl’s reaction to him right now, and he kind of just wanted the ground to swallow him whole.

“Are you alright?” An unfamiliar but easy to place voice said, sweet timber of her voice settling over his shoulders like a blanket. A hand settled over his shoulder, warmth seeping through. Great. Not only did he get kicked in the balls, had an odd revelation about his relationship with his bestfriend, and was beat by a skinnier and shorter na’vi than he was, but he failed his primary goal of not looking pathetic in front of the girl.

Being one with Eywa sounded real magical right about now, maybe have her turn his bones into dust. From dust we came, to dust we belong, he thought, trying very hard to ignore his embarrassment.

They all agreed they all did miss lo’ak and Tsireya they hadn’t been their sent well sent Tuk was 13 and got an ikan to it was a long time I guess they all got busy with their lives Tuk how to start think about getting a mate Kiri and Roxto mated and wanted to start a family and Ao’nung had to start getting ready to be come chef’ lo’ak was now chef as the old chef had pass when they moved their and thought and the clan would be in good hands with lo’ak Mo’at what happy to have some of her family back as they all had left and now she had great grandchildren so she was ok with the forest had changed a lot the humans given up and when back to earth to try to fix it as they learned that the Na’vi won’t give up so their was no more war and they had found a new tree and thing we’re like how they use to be before the sky people came. 

“Ok can you guys hurry up move your asses” said Tuk

“Ok alright damn Tuk when do you get all mean” said Rotxo 

“Sorry Ro I’m just really excited “said Tuk 

“Yea we can tell “ said Ao’nung 

“Shut up before I drop you when we are on my ikan “said Tuk 

“Ahh very funny”

“Let’s go their they are the ikans hurry before someone sees us “said Kiri 

They all got on the ikans and started to fly away it would take them a day or more depending on how many stop they take that all had been flying for more the 7 hr so they need a break they found a little spot to rest it would do for them and the ikan were really tied and need rest.

“Guys how do u think the forest look last time they where  fixing the tree I think it looks beautiful think it’s just like when mom was growing up and all the story she would tell us”said Tuk 

As they all started to put their sleeping mats

“ Yea it must be nice with all the sky people gone “ said Ao’nung 

“Well we only got 3 more hours to do before we get their “said Rotxo 

“ So let’s all get some sleep “ said Kiri 

They had all said good night to each other and everyone was asleep. 

The next morning 

Rotxo was the first to wake up he started to take out the pre-packed meals they had packed for the trip after he took all of them out and feed the ikans the other had begin waking up.

“Good morning “ said Kiri and then walked to Rotxo to give him a kiss 

“Well good morning to you”as Rotxo gave her another kiss 

“Ok ok we get it you found a mate”said Tuk in a annoyed voice 

“Yea get a room lovebirds “said Ao’nung 

“Whatever can y’all eat so we can get going and see and niece and nephews “ said Kiri

They all started to eat as they sat in a small circle they had finished their meal and they had to leave they all got on the to ikans and began to fly they new they got there when they began to see trees in trees Tuk screamed we’re here we’re here as the others looked around as the memories had came back of the time they came for Tuk to get an ikan but they had landed on a stop were their ikans fit as they got off they ikans  left to do their own welcome home 

Yes finally home look I think that’s the tree come on guys we’re home Ahahaha said Tuk laughing so happy 

Kiri felt so connected to the forest and eway Rotxo and Aonung just looked and were amazed of how perfect the forest is they stared to walk to the big tree house they saw and new that’s were the clan was and the new tree for the clan as the began to hear noises around them as looked around to see what it was. 

“Guys you heard that right “ said Kiri 

“It was probably an animal or some thing Don’t worry about it “ said Roxto 

“Chill out guys. We’re in the forest there’s animals everywhere said Ao’nung 

Before Aonung could finish that sentence a medium size animal jump out of the nowhere with claws and sharp teeth spikes around its spine that all started to circle around it

“What do we do “said Tuk

“Well we kill it “ Kiri 

“With what  our hands “said Aonung 

“Well no find something “ Rotxo hissed at the animal 

“Ma Rotxo ur going to get it more pissed off “ said Kiri 

They all heard a scream and came out to little kids both with an arrow before like new it the two little children had killed the animal they both began to laugh 

“Good shot sis look u shot it in the eye “ said the little boy 

“You to bro you shot it in the lungs “ said the little girl

They began to say something’s to it in na’vi after that they looked and the Navi’s standing right in front of them the girl began to look and them pointing her arrow at them 

“Who are you guys we have never seen you before.”

“Sis calm down look to of them are not from here they are teal” said the boy 

“We do not mean any harm we come in peace we are looking for the chef and the tree house”

Said Tuk 

“What is you want with the chef “said the girl

“No we take after our father he’s from here but he lived with the sea people that’s for he meet our mom but then him and our mother moved here and never mind “said la’reya 

La’reya was her fathers daughter she looked just like him except her eyes were blue like her mother. She had the same body and color as the forest people she like to keep her hair in some few braids and the rest, let down her hair, was straight with some beads in it around the braids. Her brother had a curly hair like their mother and put into braids and let it down how his father used to have it in his body was like the forest, but his tail was a little bit more thicker. He had yellow eyes a dark yellow like his fathers.

“so I’m guessing you get your eyes from your mother looking and la’reya and  You get you think tail from your mother as well look at Nete” said Kiri

Time skip - your lab arrives

The helicopter had landed carrying the lab your father sent you. Max came out of it greeting you. “Hi Y/n I brought you the lab!" He yelled trying to drown out the noise of the helicopter blades.

"Thank you Max!" You yelled back hugging him. He was like a uncle to you. As soon as the helicopter was turned off he rummaged in his briefcase. You were going to sleep there while you waited for your avatar body.

A lot of time has passed from the day you arrived at Awa'atlu. You had fitted quite well in the village. Sure, not everyone liked you but many had started to treat you like their sister. Yes you told her about the body you'll be having anytime soon. You wished.

Ao'nung liked teasing you a lot and it's not like you could do something about it. Jake wanted no trouble. That was your mantra. "If you think you're one of us you're wrong little one" he would say occasionally "just go back to your planet" this was less usual but still used.

You tried to act like you didn't care, but it was so hard to ignore it. You decided to avoid him and that worked cause you managed to keep him away for two straight weeks, you were really close to organize a party about it.

Today you were invited to Tsireya's marui. It was you, her and Kiri. Just three besties having fun for one entire night. It sounded really great so you agreed very happily.

When you arrived to her marui Kiri was already there "Y/n! You're late!" they both exclaimed as they saw your tiny figure entering the hut. "Yeeah sorry about that, had to finish some things" you said rolling your eyes.

You looked around carefully all the way up to the famous hut. "C'mon!" Tsireya opened the flap signaling to come in. You and Kiri ran to her and went inside. Tsireya locked the flap to the wooden frame. "Is this really a good-" you muttered looking around "-idea..." turns out Re'ya was right. Ao'nungs marui was breath taking.

"Wow" Kiri whispered looking around. Re'ya just stood there, hands on her hips looking satisfied by yours and Kiris reaction. "Told ya." She said heading were she knew her brother kept the Pongu pongu.

Who would have thought that Ao'nung was so tidy? The decor was so aesthetic, with woven shells hanging from the fabric ceiling, rattling whenever the wind had the chance to enter.

"Found it! C'mon let's drink." You heard Tsireya calling as she found a big jar between all the spears. Kiri pulled out three shallow cups that she had taken from her father and gave one to each of us. "All right, cheersss!!" and with that the drinking night begun.

"Oh Y/n I- *hiccups* I have something for you!" Tsireya staggered forward towards you, she got up and went near the entrance. "Here it is!" *hiccups* she exclaimed raising her arm in the air showing the little clothing she was holding in her hand. "I've made a woven loincloth and a macramè top for you!" She happily jumped handing you the clothing.

"You- *hiccups* shouldn't have Re'ya!" You chuckled admiring her work. "C'mon try it on!" Tsireya cheered "oh yeah go Y/n! Put it on!!" Kiri shouted. "I-I don't know... Should I?" You asked looking at the pretty iridescent shells all over it.

All seemed fine until you all heard a confused exclamation coming from the entrance.

"What the fuck!?" Ao'nung's voice roared in the whole hut causing averything to go silent. You, on the other side, had stopped, trying to balance on one leg but falling down miserably.
