I love the ending. It might seem a little rushed and I’m so sad that Izzy died, but I still think it’s super sweet. I’m a happy ending sappy person I guess❤️ I wish Izzy lived, but in some religions, a person is ready to leave this realm after they understand the meaning of life and are content with who they are. Because this realm is for suffering, once you are ready you don’t need to be here to suffer anymore. So I think Izzy is in a better place where he doesn’t have to struggle to be himself and without all the trauma of the past❤️

I am so happy they opened an inn! You know it might seem unlikely but after experiencing big traumatic events, suicidal, mania, breakups, processing, PTSD, Bipolar, love, obsession, hate…sometimes you just want to sit down and chill, take a pause, and start something new. You can still process things while you do something different. Stede agreeing to the inn idea is based on love. After you almost died multiple times, it makes sense to want to be with the person you love even if it means not being a pirate. I think Izzy said it right, it’s about belonging, not about piracy. Ed’s character is my favorite, literally a hot mess, but you know, that’s just how his journey is. It will be nice for them to own an inn, and maybe in season 3 they will go back to being pirates because owning an inn is driving them crazy like Anne and Mary ahaha. Ed just wants to stay away from the sea, and Stede has the confidence to be whoever he wants to be. Both of them just want to be with each other. Ah I love it❤️

The wedding happened! Yay! It was shorter than I’d hoped but it was still really sweet! Spanish Jackie joined the crew, makes an interesting possible development for S3. The crew also grew a lot in this season, I think they understand how being a family is more important than the act of piracy, which is the theme of the show. Zheng also joined! Love that girl❤️

Focus Shift

Can we look at this scene for one moment instead of what happens a moment afterwards?

Because yet again we get a moment of ‘not getting to see the important moment but having it referred to anyway’.

“Remember what I said” says Hunter.

But we don’t know what thing he said that he’s referring to. Or when he said it.

So how are we supposed to be able to put this moment into any proper sort of context when we have no clue which of the many things he’s said that he could be meaning, let alone whether that’s a moment that appeared onscreen or not?

But we’re quickly hurried away from thinking about that by them dropping a bigger moment in just seconds later to take all of the focus away what what Hunter just said.

They keep on trying to lead us with this exact same distraction technique, and it’s usually very effective for the first day or two after the episode airs. But it’s a bullshit tactic and doesn’t get any better, or any more convincing, the more they use it.

A set of 22 geneticized & townified skins, including defaults for S1-S2-S3-S4 and the alien skin. Credit for the original skins goes to @whysim, Nat / @theboldandthebeautifulsims, @pooklet and Tea Leaf, thank you so much to them!

I did however make substantial tweaks and additions to all skins: • everyone TU-EU has the appropriate fat, normal and fit states (for the alien textures to show up as they should, please use Argon's alien and zombie fitness fix) • all elders have wrinkles, except on the alien skin (I used @simnopke's subtle wrinkles) • all toddlers have the cute toddler teeth and babies have no teeth, • teeth from Nat's, Pooklet's and Tea Leaf's skins were replaced either with ones from the Whysim skins or the ones used on @serabiet's Those Darn Skins, just because they're less bright and I like that better • all skins are compatible with sexyfeet (I just had to cover up a watermark on one of them iirc) • lowered the color temperature on Whysim BuffyHP Tan Skinblend TG (S2).

Complete previews of AU-EU faces and uncensored bodies (fat, normal and fit) are included in the download, which is why it's such a large archive (the skins themselves aren't particularly heavy, don't worry). Teens get the same textures as adults; children, toddler and babies have their own.

These skins are townified, meaning that new townies and NPCs that spawn can get them. They are also geneticized, meaning that they have genetic values that inform which skintones will be given to babies born in game. Basically babies will always get skintones that fall in between or on the skintones that their biological parents have, as is the case for the four default skintones.

You can see the genetic value that I assigned to a skin at the end its file name. Example: "1_Whysim_MiscSkinBlend32TG_0.05.package" → this skin has a genetic value of 0.05. The skins that are S1-S4 default replacements have respective genetic values of 0.1, 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9. For more info on that and to learn how to change a custom skin's genetic value, see Rikkulidea's tutorial.

If you don't want all 22 skins but just a selection, feel free to pick and choose and it won't disrupt anything when it comes to genetics (if you want to mix them with other skins however, you may want to make sure that all the genetic values really are in a sequence from lightest to darkest). If on the other hand you think 22 skins isn't enough, check you @esotheria-sims's 97 geneticized skins 💖

✨Future plans for body shapes: these here skins are regular skins linked to the standard Maxis body shapes. I will be working on showerproof skins for custom body shapes that will be repo'd to these skins, starting with Momma Lisa/Melodie9 fat male (edit: it's here!). It may take a while but in the end all 22 skins will come in showerproof versions for as many body shapes as I have the mental fortitude to do (making showerproof skins is an excruciating mix of requiring focus and discipline while being extremely tedious).

Okay…is everyone ready for tomorrow? Less than 24 hours until S2 EP8! I can’t believe the finale is this close! My prediction:

Ed sees the Republic of Pirates blow up, found his leathers, and then found the bottled letters that Stede sent to him. Reads it. Cries. Go saves Stede. Kiss on the beach while Stede is fighting. They all fight for everyone’s freedom, and they all escaped. Zhang offered safety in China, but surprisingly they all refused. They belonged to the sea! I think Ed will realize that even though things are going fast, and there has been lots of mania and depression going on, but in the end he still loves Stede. And that’s the part of himself that he knows. He doesn’t want Piracy, but Stede does. Which results in him being the house wife and Stede go looting and fighting to find his own freedom. Or they do open an Inn. A pirate Inn? Honestly the cruise idea I saw somewhere is brilliant. They are gonna love each other and be in each other’s arms. The cliff hanger of the season will be the English plotting another destruction of Blackbeard.

Part of me is scared that like history, Ed will be killed by the English. Like Ed in the end surrendered for everyone else’s safety. And S3 will be about saving Ed. But I don’t want this to be true! Ah!
