You ready for the most insane and pointless theory?
So let’s talk about the Shamans/descendants of the ancients. Idk how common knowledge this is since I spend an ungodly amount of time reading the Mario wiki, but in TTYD they do explain why throughout the games they have the same name but look different. Wonky, who is essentially the equivalent to Carson/Garson, says “Ol' Wonky hears they're from a strange tribe that names people by profession. So, for example, if someone did the same work as Merlon, they'd have the same name...”
So their names are based on their profession, cool. Each of the games have some of their own shaman characters that aren’t in the others. In 64, there’s a shaman npc that sell badges in exchange for Star Pieces. In TTYD, this character is replaced with one named Dazzle, who doesn’t look much the shaman characters. In SPM, there is no equivalent, due to badges and Star Pieces being absent in this game.
Tumblr media
So what’s the big deal? There’s a bunch of shaman characters from the first two games that don’t appear in SPM since their mechanics aren’t in the game. But there is an instance where another old character returned with a different name.
Madam Merlar and Merlumia
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now what if I said….
Tumblr media
NOW HEAR ME OUT-
I know it sounds crazy and it totally is, but let me just be silly
Tumblr media
Now what does this mean in the long run?
Honestly nothing. The most lore implications you can get from this is that both of them are shamans that ran away from tradition and decided to be a silly jester or something. Plus the fun design headcanon that the diamonds on Dimentio’s hat and chest are Star Pieces
Was there any point in making this post? Eh. Idk just wanted to show the mental gymnastics I go through trying to figure out any extra SPM lore
But that’s just a theory, A GAME THEORY
Ok bye-bye :]

The above is a screenshot of one of tropes from Shadoo's section in the SPM TV Tropes page that caught my interest.
“Never mentioned to be killed...” Hm. If I go by my headcanon of how Dimentio fits into the story of the Pixl Uprising (i.e he's both the Magician's son and the surviving apprentice who defeated the Pixl Queen), then that would give another parallel of how Dimentio was once a hero who had a Pixl that could see the truth who stopped an antagonist who had the Dark Prognosticus who several thousand years later switched sides. And by another parallel, I mean it works perfectly alongside this.
The reason Shadoo exists (if they are the Pixl Queen) is because he couldn't go through with killing his sister; he cared for her too much and now here she is stuck at the bottom of the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials and wanting to exact revenge on the Ancients for sealing her away. Based on how Shadoo has a robotic text box and says that they were created by the Ancients, it can be presumed she forgot she was ever human. She forgot who she was.
Fast forward to the events of SPM and Dimentio's intended kill-shot for Count Bleck gets intercepted by Nastasia and knocks her unconscious in addition to injuring her. Either he had the power of that shot just enough to kill Bleck and no further and that's why Nastasia survived, because why waste precious energy? All he has to do is finish Count Bleck off who is already at death’s door thanks to the heroes.
Or Nastasia was just very fortunate to survive a full-powered blast. My money's on something like the former because Dimentio has well more than enough power to absolutely guarantee no one would survive an attack like that. (the average person who isn't a hero or built for combat— which Nastasia very much isn't— anyway.)
Then there's him saving O'Chunks and Mimi from what would have been certain death by teleporting them to Dimension D. We know they didn't end up in the same place as Peach and Bowser because neither they nor O'Chunks and Mimi make any mention of such. Pair that with the fact that the Void can't be seen from Dimension D and thus heavily implying that anyone inside it would survive the Void that would destroy everything else, and you're left with the only explanation of Dimentio having saved them. I do believe that Dimentio screwed up by not only "catching feelings" and he genuinely did care for the other minions deep down as much as he tries to deny that; and I have mentioned in a prior post about him putting all of the people who could have possibly done something about the Super Dimentio fusion in the same place.
If he hadn't cared as much as he did for them and just left them to their fates, he would have won. I feel that the reason why the floor came out under Bowser and O'Chunks is because of Dimentio— because why make a trap like that that is intended to kill any who don't make it out in time and then have it to where after a certain amount of time, it would give any of the heroes still inside who may somehow still be alive an escape and make a comeback? It makes no sense. And it's because of that, that Peach was able to survive by landing on top of Bowser.
Had he only teleported Bowser out and left O'Chunks, and teleported Peach while leaving Mimi, the minions wouldn't have been able to band together with Count Bleck and Tippi to recharge the Pure Hearts and destroy his invincibility. It was his inability to go through with killing them or just letting them die because he actually cared about them— cared too much— that caused his own undoing.
History literally repeats itself if one subscribes to believing Dimentio is both the Magician's son and the last surviving apprentice.
First Shadoo who may or may not be the Pixl Queen, was spared by her brother who couldn't bear to go through with killing her therefore causing future consequences for if she ever gets free. Then the minions— including Nastasia and Count Bleck who for the latter, Dimentio in his ever present wisdom decided to spare killing for later— with their love for each other that was allowed to continue existing all because he spared them for the time being, recharged the Pure Hearts and caused immediate consequences for himself and was the catalyst for his defeat.
In the first instance, he was on the “heroic” side. For the last he was on the “villainous” side.
#super paper mario#spm#spm theory#dimentio#shadoo#pixl queen#this is ofc just a theory since dimentio is an enigma but i see parallels and go 👀#and also ofc things like nastasia surviving dimentio's kill-shot is just my interpretation of how she did so#and then there's the (fairly popular?) fanon that dimentio teleported mimi and o'chunks to dimension d rather than them flip in on their ow#but we know that they couldn't have done so on their own— at least not o'chunks who is consistently shown to be incapable of flipping#and flipping seems to /only/ work on the person themself and can't be used on selected targets (if that makes sense). dimentio is special#bc he's the only character who is shown to always /teleport/‚ not flip. and we are explicitly shown a scene of him clearly using his#teleportation on peach (he uses his teleportation on mr. l and the other heroes when he explodes them but it's disguised by said#explosions due to how distinct it is and considering how for many years a vast majority of the spm fandom believes he /actually/ killed the#when jaydes herself literally says otherwise‚ those examples of him teleporting people other than himself doesn't count) anyway. point is:#even if mimi could flip in on her own‚ o'chunks wouldn't have been able to get in. probably. bc tippi /does/ show the ability to flip#both herself and the heroes to flipside on several occasions‚ but this ability isn't displayed by /anyone else/ throughout the game so#it's not farfetched to believe that /only/ tippi can flip other people in addition to herself#so i still firmly believe dimentio was responsible for mimi and o'chunks getting into dimension d at the end (plus it's /his/ dimension‚ i#think he has full control over whether someone can or can't enter it)#i did not mean to put an entire essay in the tags oh no

Okay, I forgot if I've mentioned this idea, I don't think so.
I have seen this idea going around that Floro Sprout roots are red. Blood red. This has inspired a new headcannon.
TW: Mentions of blood loss, brain death, possibly decay.
So, the floro sprout roots looks blood red because they are stained with actual blood, like how normal plant roots look weirdly water-stained. Now, where does this blood come from?
The part(s) of the brain that control conscious thoughts, free will, and emotion.
But what happens with a human circulatory system which connects the entire bloodstream together, now includes the Floro Sprout itself?
The human body gets slowly drained of blood while the Sprout feeds.
This means that the Sprout will take blood from the body, starting with the brain, and as more parts of the body die from lack of oxygen (blood carries oxygen around the body), the Sprout starts impacting the actual brain, making IT die as well.
Now, if, say... this Sprout were magically modified, then it could keep the body moving long after death, allowing for a fun little puppet that is completely dependant on the thing that is killing it.
I wish you luck, Luigi...
🌱
This headcannon was partially inspired by a Pokémon RP of Luigi, where a bird pecks his head and reveals a dead Floro Sprout stuck to his brain, blood dripping from the roots.

OKAY ERM mini game rant bc I promise I am taking my pills (not). It’s not like revolutionary shit I just enjoy analyzing this game to pieces
Okay we all know that scene where Dimentio is like ERM AKSUALLY THE COUNT BETRAYED ME🤓☝️which is implied to be a straight up lie. but I’ve replayed the game and skimmed the game’s script and there’s some evidence that he was actually telling the truth- so anyways I’m chapter three we have this cutscene:
—————
Count: Does something trouble you, Nastasia?
Nastasia: Yeah, Count... You know, there's still time... You can still change your mind.
Count: That is enough, Nastasia. We've already come this far, so we shall forge on! But you needn't stay by Count Bleck's side. You can depart with my blessing.
Nastasia: Um, no, my count. I won't be doing that. My life is already sworn to you. Yeah, it's belonged to you since the day you saved me... I'll be sticking out with you until my game ends, 'K?
Bleck: If that pleases you...
—————
So this pretty clearly seems like Nastasia is simply talking about not wanting Bleck to destroy all worlds (and recreate them). BUT THEN we have Dimentio who fucking ruins the clarity by saying this shit
Tumblr media
Am I reading too deep into a Mario game?? Probably. But what does this loser mean by, “Just what is our dear count playing at…?” WHAT does that mean. Like actually. Before this, Bleck was just giving orders to his minions so I’m not excluding any dialogue that could be referring to what Dimentio is so intrigued about. There is NOTHING in that scene that implies Bleck is “playing at” anything. If anything, Dimentio should direct that sentence at Nastasia, but he doesn’t.
While it’s pretty much basic common sense (and probably correct- I’m just insane) to assume that she is talking about the destruction of all worlds, what’s important is that she does not explicitly say what she is talking about. I know that’s a huge reach but given everything else, it is weird.
The fact that Nastasia does not specifically refer to what she is talking about + Dimentio’s reaction means that Nastasia is probably not talking about the destruction of all worlds- but the lack of new ones, something only Bleck and Nastasia are aware of. And unbeknownst to them, Dimentio is aware, too.
Something else that’s pretty damning is that we hear all about these new perfect worlds from every Team Bleck member. EXCEPT BLECK AND NASTASIA.
Here are just a few examples-
O’Chunks:
Tumblr media
Mimi:
Tumblr media
Dimentio:
Tumblr media
Okay well everyone except Mr. L. But he was around for 3 seconds so he doesn’t really count. Point is- All Bleck talks about in the game is destruction. If I am correct (cause there is a shit ton of dialogue in this game), the ONLY time he confirms anything is when Mimi is talking about her idea of a perfect world is hanging out with Bleck, all he says is, “Well, different strokes for different minions.” Sir that is vague as FUCK
Anyways this shit doesn’t end here. Look at this dialogue from him in chapter eight:
Tumblr media
This is. Definitely a sentence! :D
Count Bleck could have stopped at, “Better that I destroy them.” Hell, even if he said, “I shall make it as if they never existed at all!” that’s not that weird.
But he doesn’t. He says, “Better yet.” That implies there is something to be expanded upon PAST COMPLETE DESTRUCTION. AKA!! NOT REINVENTING THEM LIKE HE PROMISED
That’s not all. If you revisit Nastasia after you complete the game, you get this line of dialogue:
Tumblr media
To me, this is dialogue, while tragic and beautifully written for a Mario game, is strangely worded. Specifically that last line.
“Then maybe there never was any point to that other world,” could and probably does mean that she’s essentially agreeing with the heroes (and everyone in all worlds) that destroying all worlds to create perfect new ones is NOT the answer to your problems.
But what makes me a bit unsure is the interaction in Chapter 3. It was the first scene I discussed in this post. As I said before- We can use that scene’s vagueness and Dimentio’s very unusual response to conclude that it is not impossible to rule out Nastasia was referring to Bleck’s lack of world recreation and not just Bleck’s destruction of all worlds. And here, in this post-game visit, “Then maybe there was never any point to that other world,” could refer to that very scene.
It may sound confusing, but think about it. Let’s revisit those lines again:
“… Now I understand what it was like when Blumiere turned into Count Bleck. If I have to live on with this feeling always burning inside me… Yeah, then maybe there was never any point to that other world.”
Based on evidence from Chapter 3, it is not impossible that, in this scene, she is accepting Bleck was “right” about not recreating new worlds. After all, his reasoning would be that he would not want to live on in a new world because of “that feeling always burning inside” Nastasia refers to. Now that SHE feels it, she finally understands and agrees with him that “there was never any point to that other world.”
Could this all be translation issues? Of course. But nevertheless, it is still the dialogue we were canonically given.
Also, you might be wondering why he would lie in the first place. First, the Dark Prognosticus (as shown in Carson’s story about Dimentio) talks about each Team Bleck member. If Bleck wanted to fulfill the prophecy of destruction, he would have to recruit them all just like Merlon recruited the heroes. In my opinion, “Hey guys, bleh heh heh, want to destroy all worlds and ourselves in the process?” is not a great marketing slogan.
On top of all of that, why would Dimentio plan to betray him? It wasn’t a spur of the moment decision, AKA Dimentio seeing Bleck was surrendering to Mario and taking matters into his own hands. He had been PLANNING this. He WANTED the heroes to defeat Bleck. Again, why? After all, Bleck was supposed to be doing exactly what Dimentio wanted: destroying and recreating perfect new worlds in the minion’s visions. Unless…
Of course, is it possible Bleck was telling the truth. It is possible Dimentio betrayed him because he wanted all the power and worlds to himself and only himself. That is more than likely true and, like I said many times, I am just reading too deep into it. But still, there is some interesting evidence in the game that suggests otherwise. At least to me.
but yeah tbh Dimentio was probably lying LMAO

SPM Theory: Merloo and the Fourth Pure Heart
Tumblr media
«The Ancients traveled to many worlds to entrust people with Pure Hearts. It was to keep them safe from destruction or misuse by those with evil hearts. The Pure Hearts were drawn by their own power toward those strong with love. The Ancients used this trait to find suitable guardians in each world. And a few romances also began as a result of these little journeys… Many of the Ancients who found guardians fell in love with those they met. And so they lived their days happily in the world they'd visited out of duty. This is how the legend of the hero was passed down to future generations…»
This is one of Garson's stories from Super Paper Mario. In it, it's explained that the Ancients decided to entrust the Pure Hearts to well-meaning people in different worlds for safekeeping until the hero arrived.
However, although there's a great emphasis in the guardians here, there is one Pure Heart whose guardian we know nothing about...
Let's start with a little recap. During SPM's events, Mario and company find the Pure Hearts in the following places:
❤️ The First Pure Heart is given to Mario by Merlon in Flipside.
🧡 The Second Pure Heart is given to Mario by Merlumina in Yold Ruins, with Fracktail also serving as a guardian to it.
💛 The Third Pure Heart is obtained from Merlee and it was hidden within her Mansion.
💚 The Fourth Pure Heart is found within Fort Francis, with Tippi's happiness releasing it from its hiding place.
🩵 The Fifth Pure Heart is handed over by Squirps, prince of the lost kingdom of Squirpia.
💙 The Sixth Pure Heart is obtained from the Floro Sapiens, who explain that King Croacus IV was its current owner.
💜 The Seventh Pure Heart is kept at Sammer’s Kingdom, with the current King Sammer being its guardian and, thus, the one who has to give it to the heroes (or rather, the one who should have given it to the heroes).
🤍 The Eighth Pure Heart, lastly, was entrusted to Jaydes and Grambi, rulers of The Underwhere and The Overthere respectively, who transformed it into their daughter, Luvbi. In the end, Luvbi herself decided to go with the heroes, reverting back to her original form and accepting her fate as the final Heart.
Notice something strange? There was exactly one Pure Heart that wasn’t given to the heroes by anyone. That's right; it's the fourth one, the green Pure Heart...
All the other Pure Hearts were being guarded by at least one person (although in Croacus' case, he wasn't exactly "guarding" it). Yet the green Pure Heart was just found inside a fortress/castle.
Here's what Merlon says about it when you return to Flipside after completing Chapter 3:
«I think that castle was once a dwelling of the Ancients I told you of earlier. It seems that my ancestors have roamed far and wide in their dimensional travels. “In the castle beyond the great sea, we hid a Pure Heart and sealed it safely…” Yes, I remember reading such a passage in the Light Prognosticus. The seal could only have been broken by a powerful pulse of love and trust…»
Isn't it strange that the Ancients just seemingly hid a Pure Heart within a random castle they found and assigned no sort of protection to it except for a seal?
In Garson's story, it's stated that the Pure Hearts were entrusted to "suitable guardians", and so it'd be more believable to think that there used to be a guardian for the green Pure Heart as well.
And I believe this Pure Heart's guardian (or, at least, its original guardian) was none other than Merloo.
Now, if you're part of SPM's fandom you'll probably already know that Merloo has been the subject of much theorizing; he's a quite mysterious figure described as "a great magician who could control dimensions" and, allegedlly, the writer of the Light Prognosticus too (although Merlumina is also stated to be its writer).
Nothing more is known about Merloo himself... And there aren't any Ancient-related characters who look like him in-game, unlike with the other three sages we hear about in SPM...
Tumblr media
But why Merloo as the green Pure Heart's guardian? Well, that's because I think the other three sages were also entrusted with a Pure Heart each...
My evidence? The fact that another of Garson's stories sheds light on Merlumina's sister, who was tasked with finding one of these suitable guardians. She fell in love with said guardian, the King Sammer of that time, ultimately marrying him and having 100 kids together; this means that the King Sammer we meet in SPM (who is the purple Pure Heart's current guardian) is a descendant of them.
All of this aligns with the Garson story I cited at the beginning of this post. But, considering Garson spoke in plural ("Many of the Ancients who found guardians fell in love with those they met"), this means Merlumina's sister wasn't the only case of an "ancient x guardian" couple happening...
Let's take a look at the other Ancients we know of:
Merlight is stated to be a "distant ancestor" of Merlon, who at the time of SPM is in possession of the red Pure Heart.
Merlumina is an ancestor of Old Man Watchitt, and her spirit can be found in the same dimension/world as him, guarding the orange Pure Heart.
Merlimbis is a "direct ancestor" of both Merluvlee and Merlee; the current yellow Pure Heart's owner is Merlee.
Isn't it fair for us to assume that they were also tasked with finding guardians, fell in love with them, and decided to stay in the worlds they'd visited out of duty, as Garson's story says? Well, in Merlight's case, he designed Flipside/Flopside, so he had no other option than to remain there to ensure the city's correct functioning, I suppose... But I'm getting off-track.
Returning to the matter at hand: once again we can see that Merloo's name hasn't been brought up... He's the only sage whose descendants are completely unknown to the player.
If we follow my reasoning, we have Merlight, Merlumina and Merlimbis guarding the red, orange and yellow Pure Hearts alongside their spouses, respectively. Or rather, their descendants (except for Merlumina's case; I have an idea on why this could be, but that's for another day...).
The thing is that the red, orange and yellow Pure Hearts are the first three Pure Hearts encountered in-game. So, it wouldn't be irrational to assume that Merloo was also entrusted with the next Pure Heart after those. Which, no surprise, is the green Pure Heart.
So, to recap, Merloo went to The Bitlands, found a suitable guardian, and fell in love with them (just like the rest of the sages), staying in The Bitlands for the rest of his life and eventually passing on the responsibility of protectiing the green Pure Heart to his children, who in turn passed it on to their own children, and so on...
But what happened to their castle, then? Why is it now Fort Francis?
Honestly, I have no idea for why this the way it is.
Perhaps they were forced to flee due to unknown circumstances, with no other option than to leave the Pure Heart behind? Perhaps they all died due to some illness or attack, only managing to put an emergency seal on the Pure Heart before passing away?
I'm afraid, the answer shall remain a mystery forevermore...
However, I would like to say that there are some indications that hint at the possibility of a descendant of Merloo's being encountered in-game by the heroes...
Dimentio is quite the enigmatic character, isn't he?
He's a magician with great dimensional powers, just like Merloo, even being able to create his own pocket dimension!
Not only that, but he seemed to know quite a lot about the Pure Hearts and the Dark Prognosticus' final prophecy even before meeting Count Bleck...
On top of that, the only time Dimentio is fought against in SPM outside of Castle Bleck is, precisely, in The Bitlands...
Moreover, Dimentio seems to be aware of where the entrance to Merlumina's chamber (where the orange Pure Heart is hidden) is exactly located, and he has no trouble messing with Fracktail's mind!
Furthermore, how did Dimentio go to Flipside? How was he aware of its existence? And how was he able to send the heroes to The Underwhere and The Overthere? Also, all these places hid a Pure Heart as well...
Lastly, Dimentio knew that Jaydes' power could restore a damaged Pure Heart...
It's as if he had been taught all of these facts by someone, don't you think?
This is all suspicious...
...Quite suspicious, indeed...

The Tribe of Darkness
Tumblr media
(Image credits to whom it may concern)
Nolrem and others like him are the descendants of these strange, ancient people. A very, very long time ago, they splintered off from the Tribe of Ancients and lived by themselves. I heard that they were so prideful that they avoided interacting with those outside of their tribe. They lived in secrecy, so we have little idea where they might have lived. Some say that they lived quietly in a castle deep in a forest where no one came.
1. The tribe definitively separated from the ancients 1500 years ago, before the events of spm. After helping them create Flopside, apparently some members of this tribe remained in this city. 2- Surely, the castle being talked about here is Castle Bleck, (As seen in the part I wrote previously).
The founder of this tribe, as my theory says in the “Timeline” part, could be the son of the creator of the Pixls. Seeing that he brought the Dark Prognosticus with him after the Pixl War, he fled with the prophetic book, creating this infamous tribe. Although, a Japanese translation of one of Carson's stories suggests that before they split up and even before the Pixel War, there was a group with great magical power within the Tribe of Ancients, that is to say, this tribe was establishing itself in a time before we had imagined.
They stole it in order to research new magic and curses based on its contents... While others believe that they stole the book in order to keep it from those who wished to misuse it.
Blumiere's father were one of the main members of the Tribe of Darkness, or so it is theorized. One fact is that, in the Super Mario-Kun manga, you can see his silhouette, this being a corpulent figure, with a big mustache and wearing what looks like a bowler hat.
Tumblr media
Count Bleck is the last surviving member of the tribe itself, having destroyed the rest of the tribe after his father seemingly killed his loved one, a human descendent of the tribe of Ancients. In addition, it is hinted that Nastasia was originally a bat that was transformed into a member of the same species as Bleck, whom she had fallen for, which would make her a member of the Tribe of Darkness as well.
Their xenophobia is said to be based on pride at one point by Carson, although they were also concerned that their magic would become diluted if they married outside of the tribe. The japanese translation says:
"It seems that they were a tribe within the Tribe of Ancients that possessed exceptionally powerful magic. And it's said that they forbade marriage outside of the tribe out of fear of losing it. It seems that the Tribe of Darkness saw their magic as something to use for a "very important thing". Just what was that "very important thing"? Nowadays, we will never know."
My theory: This is where my theory comes in. After separating, the Tribe of Darkness continued to examine the Dark Prognosticus, finding the prophecy imminent. Blinded by power, they wanted to start it (Dimentio being a fundamental part of this). That's why he knows so much about the DP and the prophecy—things that not even Count Black knew about them. But they saw the great danger that it brought with it—that, instead of creating new worlds to rule, the prophecy was about the destruction of all worlds, all of them would reduce all existence itself until everything was erased as if it had never existed. That's why they prevented any member from opening the infamous book and forbade marriage outside the tribe. Up to the present: The events of Super Paper Mario. Didn't it seem suspicious that Count Bleck had always known about this macabre ending?

Some SPM thoughts
I mentioned in one of the latest post's tags that I was reminded of some SPM questions and theories. The part that brought them up again was this one (text on the picture by @mochilorddrakeinferno).
Tumblr media
I'm pretty sure Count Bleck did say something along the lines of "kill me and all worlds will be restored" after he was defeated. Of course, there is a possibility he was lying or perhaps even he didn't know what exactly would happen afterward. Suppose we'll never know for sure.
I've also been thinking about the host getting obliterated by The Void and what exactly would happen to the affected worlds. My theory is that even if the worlds would get restored after the host dies, then there is a point beyond which the worlds can no longer be restored even if the host dies. I would imagine that if the host lets themself be destroyed then it would happen at the very last moment after all else is already gone. The host gets sucked in (but doesn't die yet) and a split second later The Void closes and disappears along with the host, therefore marks the fulfilment of the prophecy and end of all worlds. Just my theory, though.
That, however, raises another question - how exactly is the fate of the host determined? We know that with the Chaos Heart the wielder can create new universes (Dimentio's end goal). Meanwhile, Bleck's end goal seems to be to disappear. The question I have is what does the host have to do to survive (or not do to die).
Is the barrier created by the Chaos Heart powerful enough to protect the host from The Void?
If no, is there another magical barrier they can create? Do they have to wait in an already destroyed dimension to survive?
If yes, then how can this barrier be removed/broken (without using the Pure Hearts)? Can the host control the barrier and take it off if they so wished to? Can it be done at all?
I do remember the count at some point telling Nastasia that even he can't stop it anymore. Of course, we can't know for sure whether what he was saying was true but if it was true then why can't he stop it? If he could remove the barrier then he would become vulnerable again and could die, which would result in the Chaos Heart disapearing. Perhaps he knew about Dimentio's plan (but didn't want Nastasia to know) and figured that Dimentio would take the Chaos Heart for himself before it would disappear. Once again, just my thoughts.
If anyone made it this far then I'd really like to hear your theories and thoughts on this.

Um some goofy screenshot redraw in the Hazbin Hotel style
Tumblr media
I've been seeing a lot of redesigns for Hazbin Hotel characters lately, and wanted to improve my design for Newton from my LBP x Hazbin AU
I really like the concept that he can't open his mouth, so his voice actually comes from the radio on his chest. He only speaks normally when he's being genuine
Also I mainly just desaturated the colours, slightly changed up the sleeves, hair, claws as well as the facial features to help him seem more "threatening" (I gave him an actual deer nose and less fluffier hair)
Also made his antlers larger and more jagged, and his eyes brighter
Without the lighting + original scene
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Constructive criticism is HIGHLY advised ik my designs arent perfect and I would really benefit from any sort of feedback

The risk he took was calculated, but man is he bad at math
The reason why all 8 Pure Hearts were able to be recharged after they expended their power during the fight with Count Bleck isn’t just because of O’Chunks’, Mimi’s, and Tippi’s love for the Count alone. At first I had a thought that maybe the Pure Hearts’ ability to be recharged is based on the ratio of love to a particular dimension, and since Dimension D is very small and their love so grand, that that’s what recharged all of them.
But then I realized, no, it wasn’t based on love-to-dimension-size ratio; their love for the Count is grand, yes, but such a possible reason had no part in them being recharged.
Tumblr media
It was this innate aspect of Dimension D that amplified the emotions that existed in close proximity to the exhausted Pure Hearts as though through a magnifying glass that recharged all 8 even though there were only four conscious people. So not only did Dimentio completely fuck himself over by not killing Count Bleck on the spot but instead chose to save killing him for later, but he sent all the people who cared for and loved the Count into the very Dimension he created that has this specific property to it where out of all the still existing yet temporarily safe places he could have dumped them, it was the one dimension where they all still had a chance of attaining victory and defeating him.
After the above, I then started doubting this due to what the whole "256" thing was referring to with me going,
"Hm. Considering the “256 times more powerful” thing is a reference to 8-bit computing, and the fact that back in the olden days the cap on numerical values was 255 and even one further would roll the number back over to 0, it’s likely the same could be said for it amplifying their love and thus Dimension D didn’t actually do anything to aid Count Bleck, Tippi, and the other minions in recharging the Pure Hearts. Nevermind then."
but then came the realization of
Actually,
the reason why in-universe anyone in Dimension D who fights another person is equally matched is because of its properties applying to all people within it. That’s the reason why it “rolls over” to “zero” aka nothing: everyone gets the power boost therefore there isn’t any greater a difference in power than there was prior to entering Dimension D. It’s not “N x “nothing” = N vs N x “nothing” = N therefore N vs N” but “N x 256 vs N x 256 effectively results in the exact same outcome as N vs N even though both are stronger”. But this is really only the case when fighting in it. If one assumes the 256 applies to everything, then it amplifying the love within it is still a valid explanation because it isn’t directly competing against anything else for it to ultimately end up redundant. There’s no pushback, it’s freely allowed to go up.
This has to be the case because if one goes with the “N x “nothing” (which numerically would be 1)” approach, the love wouldn’t be amplified or even changed at all. (and it’s not “N x 0” because if it was, no damage would have been able to be dealt by anyone who fought in Dimension D)

((Warning: this is a loooooooong boi))
I didn’t think much into fan theorizing Dimentio’s potential background until I was older, but I really like this theory the most.
Honestly, any number of interpretations one could give on his motives, simple, selfish, tragic, etc, could work. It’s intentionally left a mystery for us to ponder. To analyze and explore all possible routes and interpretations.
I’m most partial to the magician’s son theory for the layers and different routes it gives to explore. From the simple things like Dimentio’s gifted magical prowess and how he (possibly) has more intimate knowledge of the Dark Prognosticus than what we see the Count share in-game, and all manner of possible motivations for coveting the book/Chaos Heart’s power and what shaped Dimentio into who he is as a person.
The tragedy of the Magician’s family is really heartbreaking. One day this man has it all, a loving family, great magical prowess to practice and potentially pass down his teachings to his children, possibly even good or high standing among the Ancients for his work.
Then a freak accident seemingly kills both his wife and son, then he loses his daughter not long after to illness. That’s devastating. And from what can be gleaned from the lore stories, the Magician created the first Pixl, who would become the Pixl Queen, with the soul of his deceased daughter. Highly likely in an effort to bring her back. This creation practice (implanting deceased souls into artificial mobile bodies) then going on to be used to create Pixls for the purpose of being tools and servants to the rest of the Tribe of Ancients. And this would be what the Magician would become known and remembered for in the history books. The Pixl Queen was horrified by this and started the Uprising. Which goes on for long enough that it falls to the latest descendants of the disciples the original Magician passed his teachings onto, who has also presumably died by this point. Then by the end of the Uprising, his daughter is killed again and Pixls, the only thing left of his legacy now, has been completely sullied: first from the misuse of the Pixls, and then the entire craft becoming outlawed post-Uprising with the Ancients now fearing them, along with all but the remaining 11 of the original 12 Pixls surviving. Hell, there doesn’t even appear to be any surviving records of his own name despite his prominent role in the history of the Ancients. And what if that was intentional?
What’s also crucial to remember is that the Magician used the power and knowledge of the Dark Prognosticus to create/invent Pixls and possibly for other projects and research. It is stated how no one who’s ever possessed the book “ever found happiness” and that its power corrupts the user. With everything we hear befall the Magician, he was certainly another victim of this ill omen the opening narration warned of. He lost everything and his work that propelled the Tribe of Ancients into the grand civilization it would be famed for would also become one of the major catalysts in causing the downfall of said civilization as a whole. Yet another the Dark Prognosticus causes and possibly foretold about in its pages.
Back to Dimentio, there’s plenty to play around with when it comes to how he responds to all of that. For one thing, that freak accident? I imagine it was magic related, a mishap of sorts, and one drastic enough to inflict substantial damage considering it killed his mother. And say it was “explosive” in nature, and therefore resulted in scaring? Scars that Dimentio would go on to hide behind a mask to not be recognized, but the messed up spell itself also become a fixation for him and his MO. Arguably Dimentio’s most favored attack is that infamous explosion spell from within a confined force field/warp box?, where he uses it to “kill” Luigi/Mr. L and the heroes. He doesn’t use it lethally in these situations because he needs them for his plans, but uh… it’s still very clearly inflicting a great amount of unnecessary pain. And I’d be hard pressed to believe that Dimentio hasn’t used it lethally before, plus his inflicting one of his worst traumas/experiences he’d ever suffered on others is fittingly twisted for his tastes.
More on the freak accident, there’s other questions the missing details create with what we know of the Magician’s story: How did his son survive where his wife did not? Why was the Magician lead to believe both were dead? And why did he only attempt to revive/use his deceased daughter’s soul to bring back as a Pixl?
I believe that for the soul to be viable to transplant into a Pixl form, the person has to be on the verge of death or recently deceased so that the transfer happens before the soul can go to the Underwhere/Overthere for optimal success. The Pixl Queen was also described as having been created using a “demonic spirit”, making her more unstable than other Pixls shown that would support the idea if she was created following, say, a month at most timeframe passing following her first death then becoming a Pixl. Plus, the unstable results of the Pixl Queen’s creation would have deterred the Magician from making other attempts with the rest of his family’s souls in fear of hurting them further.
As for the other questions, what if… there were multiple magics in play? Not just attack magic, but warp magic too? Dimentios explosion box attack is shown capable of blowing up the target and teleporting them to another location in several instances. So what if the freak accident warped Dimentio away from home? Much further than was the case for his mother, whose body was quickly found and could be confirmed dead? Then this younger, less magically experienced Dimentio had to recover/find his way back home on his own (learning more magic, honing his skills, begin cultivating his reputation as a Master of Dimensions, Pleaser of Crowds, and powerful magician, in addition to starting his mentioned prior mercenary profession during this time), and because of that inexperience, it took him a long time to master his magic to be able to do so and upon his return as an adult came back to discover the full tragedy of what happened in both the accident and everything else that snowballed after. I personally hc the Ancients that, albeit still mortal, to have substantial longevity compared to humans because of their innate magic prowess, capable of living for centuries before dying of natural causes. Though their games can still be cut short via significant mortal or magic based injury all the same.
Dimentio was too stubborn to die so soon and had magic to endure/expedite healing from the accident, plus was then driven by spite to endure for over a millennium all to achieve his goals. Since the stories specifically make reference to the Magician’s daughter being “human”, I’m going with the kids being mixed (their father being an Ancient, and their mom being a regular human who couldn’t do magic). Meaning Dimentio’s mother was not as lucky withstanding the injuries from the accident and succumbing to them.
Onto how this ties into deeper goals and motivations for his actions in the events of SPM, there’s a lot of combos you could create here depending on how sympathetic or callous one wants to portray Dimentio and how he’s impacted by all of it. The loss of his family and former ties to them might be a hidden part of why he aspires to have his perfect world, wanting to have them back after being robbed of a life together. Or, he comes to resent them for a number of reasons (why did his father never try to find him? why did his father “give up” on his son, not to mention his wife, yet went to the great lengths he did out of “love” for his daughter? why did his sister not try to find him either after her rebirth as the Pixl Queen? especially after taking the Dark Prognosticus for herself and using it pre and during the Uprising? The book is prophetic and it’s alluded that it mentions Dimentio in future chapters as the final “end of all worlds” prophecy, as Dimentio learns later; she could have found out he was still alive and looked for him but she didn’t. Just like his father didn’t.), becoming “disillusioned” with love believing his former family never cared for him at all, with it being so easy for them to abandon, betray him like that. Particularly if during his extensive journey home, Dimentio went through other experiences with betrayal and broken trust, additionally serving to form the manipulative, ruthless, cruel, and self-serving person we know him as in the game who views connections with others purely as a means to exploit for self-gain and valueless otherwise. Thus wanting a perfect world without this pain would make sense too.
Having been told about the Dark Prognosticus’ power and knowledge by his father, perhaps even teaching Dimentio some things (not a lot) from it prior to the accident with the additional promise to pass the tome down to Dimentio to inherit when he’s older to carry on the legacy… Dimentio concludes the book is his birthright and rightful owner. He was promised, and after everything, he deserved it. Its power, its knowledge, the means to grant his wants and desires, to ability to craft his legacy as intended. And unlike those before him, Dimentio (falsely) believes himself to be above the weaknesses previous owners had, and can therefore wield the book successfully (even though the audience can clearly see its corrupting influence having infected him all the same from being exposed/in close proximity to it while his father had possession of it). Throw in the idea that Dimentio and his father are also direct descendants of the unknown author of the Dark Prognosticus who reclaimed it after it having fallen into a line of wrong hands causing mass destruction as well, that’d further fuel this delusion of grandeur.
…But the book was stolen off his sister/the Pixl Queen following her second death, now in the hands of the newly established Tribe of Darkness. Their refusal to return it to him/foiling his attempts to reclaim it led to Dimentio resenting the ToD (the Ancients as a whole, really, but the ToD especially), yet another unworthy lot vying for its power for themselves, in his belief. This by contrast fueling the ToD’s xenophobic mindset towards those outside the tribe and prohibiting any interactions. Dimentio continues to spy on the ToD and grows his power more in the meantime to make another go at the book. Only for one of the tribesmen to take the book for himself first and destroy the rest of the tribe in a mad act of despair. So now Dimentio has to get it off THIS fool’s undeserving hands, and does some more lurking to access how to best do that for this “Count Bleck”. During this he learns the Count wants to enact the final prophecy and sees him recruit members to his cause. So Dimentio approaches the Count asking to join, but is refused, to the jester’s annoyance. This happens multiple times before Count Bleck finally accepts after discovering the book mentions Dimentio.
The only time we see Dimentio what I’d describe as explicitly angry in SPM is when he’s talking about Count Bleck betraying him, lying about his plan and the promise they’d get their perfect worlds. Many speculate that Dimentio might have stayed loyal to the Count like the others if he actually kept this promise. I’m inclined to agree too. If the Count did, Dimentio would gain what he was after anyway and could also potentially get the book too once Count Bleck accomplished what he wanted with it. Dimentio states he knew all along about the Count’s true nefarious goal and he feigned allegiance to him to better be able to find the means to overcome the power gap between himself and the Count with the Dark Prognosticus’ (and later Chaos Heart’s) power. However, I think it would be extra fun to have Dimentio join the team already preparing his secret agenda… but he has a moment faltering on going through with it.
This little motley crew he’s joined has surprising camaraderie that he’s made a part of. Dimentio’s still a trickster and keeps a distance, but imagine for the first few months, years even, he does actually tentatively bond with the other members. He has a sense of belonging again with people who might actually genuinely care for him, maybe even get the false hope that the Count might’ve changed his mind about ultimate destruction hearing this new promise to create perfect worlds to replace the ashes as the Count and the others claim. …Only to have that faith betrayed overhearing the Count and Nastasia discussing the true plan in private again while spying on them in the castle, realizing the promise was another lie all along. This on top of Dimentio also realizing the others would still always follow/be loyal to the Count anyway would always choose the Count over him, Dimentio reasserts going through with his own original plan and his fixed beliefs on love/bonds only being a vulnerability to exploit and punish those stupid enough to fall victim to believing it has value beyond that. Playing the long con and keeping up the mask of the loyal companion/minion until his moment to strike and make it hurt as much as possible.
Dimentio strikes me as someone who can have both complex and simple motivations for why he’s the way he is, why he does what he does. It could be because of past tragedy, or purely because he’s that greedy and power hungry. Either can work, and it’s fun exploring each possibility. I like combining the two for my own take on the character. That there is a bigger story in his past that shaped him into what he is, but still keep the unrepentant selfishness he’s known for in the game without making him too sympathetic that his sins are ignored::
Dimentio experienced tragedy and became callous towards the cruel, uncaring universe. He seeks power and control after experiencing having it being taken away from him or having insufficient reserves to obtain the outcome he wants. He feels entitled to the Dark Prognosticus, the Chaos Heart, a perfect world, etc; after all he’s been through and suffered, he deserves the reparations for all he was cheated out of from the bad hand he was dealt. Far more than just the mere loss of a significant other. The jester wants his dues and will stop at nothing to get them, uncaring of who gets in his way. He’s been punished for extending any shred of genuine compassion or care to others, so he no longer grants the courtesy no one could ever muster to show him in kind. I also see Dimentio as someone who while thrives on being an unpredictable enigma, he wants to be remembered.
Look at how he introduces himself. His titles as “Master of Dimensions” and “Pleaser of Crowds” before announcing his name. He even tells Mario in his first encounter with him in Ch1-4 to “Remember the name well…”
He wants to be acknowledged for his feats. The notoriety and power he’s obtained. He does not want to be forsaken and forgotten like a drop of water in the sea of the cosmos the way he was by everyone back home when the accident put him through an unwitting disappearing act. The way the rest of his family was by the rest of the tribe and by history, as well as how the Ancients and ToD became fallen relics with only ruins, scant old scrolls and conflicting story accounts left to prove they once existed at all. Dimentio’s father did great feats for the Ancients worthy of being celebrated in history, yet all that remains of his legacy is but one of those feats and how it destroyed him and the Ancients as a whole. Their ancestor who wrote the book also has no well-remembered legacy, their name and goal for creating the Dark Prognosticus long forgotten, and their very creation being abused and misused by a myriad of people who took it from the family causing disaster after disaster until it was reclaimed back by the Magician. Dimentio was meant to continue that great legacy and leave his mark on history — what was supposed to be his DESTINY — and seemingly at every turn he is being denied that opportunity in favor of trauma and being cast aside.
You can get where he’s coming from on some points, but he’s still a selfish, cruel son of a bitch who’s committed countless atrocities too. He doesn’t care for anyone but himself and getting what he wants, taking pleasure in inflicting torment and suffering on others for his own amusement and twisted sense of catharsis. Dimentio does extend the offer for people to join him, but he doesn’t trust anyone to willingly do so and puts them under the control of the Floro Sprout to secure their loyalty in the optional bad game over choosing to have the Bros agree to his offer. But very quickly turns hostile when they choose to refuse, and is out for blood to remove everyone still standing in his way once his ultimate victory is in his grasp for the final battle.
When he loses everything all over again with his defeat at the hands of the heroes, along with Tippi/Timpani’s scathing final remark to him (both the lost love of the person Dimentio openly despises the most, and who was given a new lease on life from her death sentence via the magic process created by his father, allowing her and Bleck to be happy where the use of the very same magic failed to do the same for Dimentio’s sister and family):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is what finally drives Dimentio over the edge in his final moments. Breaking the facade of his unfazed composure tho he still has the willpower to still keep the smile. To use the last of his power to take his enemies and all existence down with him in assured destruction. Forgotten in oblivion just like him.
But once again he’s thwarted, and while he might take satisfaction in the Count and his beloved needing to sacrifice themselves and leave the others in pain from their loss, Dimentio still suffers the very thing he wanted desperately to avoid: a hollow legacy that isn’t beholden in high regard for its victories, but rather a stream of failures if it’s even to be remembered at all. Ultimately becoming lost to time altogether like his family and the tribes he hated so.
I also just love different interpretations for how Luigi and Dimentio might communicate in the shared mindscape of the Super Dimentio fusion. Can they view each other’s memories? Experience their emotions? Maybe that’s another reason why Dimentio used the Floro Sprout, making Luigi complacent to fuse, unable to fight back thus giving Dimentio dominant control of the new form, as well as Luigi being unable to pry into his memories/distract him while the jester is still given full viewing access to Luigi’s mind.
I wish we got to see Luigi push back and fight for control the way Peach did against the Shadow Queen. We all deserve more Bros angst and Luigi badassery. Plus it would have been a much more impactful payoff for the notion we’re given that Luigi/“the Man in Green” will determine which prophecy comes true in having him proactively make the final deciding choice after initially being robbed of it. You could explain away how Luigi manages to snap out of the sprout’s control while it’s still attached to him with his connection to the Chaos Heart, the power of the Pure Hearts being used to depower the fusion, the Bros’ bond/twin link overpowering the mind control, any combo of these. Luigi then having to fight from the inside to protect the others from Dimentio and resist the jester’s attempts to subdue him back into a mindless puppet.
Luigi trying to appeal to Dimentio following his defeat is such a neat idea too. To have it parallel Tippi’s attempts to appeal to Count Bleck that there’s another way, that he can do something different and choose to overcome/not be defined by the pain, the idea of being bound to the whims of fate.
Count Bleck does not believe he can be forgiven or make up for all he’s done, but is remorseful and ultimately chooses to go out doing “the right thing”, giving his life to close the Void/undo the physical mess he created.
Dimentio on the other hand scoffs and has no remorse. Insulted by the suggestion he “let go of the past” and go without “getting justice/his dues” for it. Especially by someone who has suffered in many the same ways he has, who should by all means agree with him/be on his side on this subject! Yet Luigi’s not.
…How does he do it? How is he not as miserable and resentful as Dimentio is from the pain and belittlement he’s endured for ages being talked down to? Always being forgotten or left behind, even by his own brother? Why does he still care for others who don’t care for him back and continue subjecting himself to the folly that is “love”? And not wanting to admit he was wrong, Dimentio settles on the answer being Luigi is just another fool mindlessly enslaved to the useless emotion that’ll only destroy him in the end for investing his efforts, mocking him for it the way Luigi “mocked” him with “trivializing his past”, and how he also “mocks” Dimentio by not being broken by his own past and traumas (“I put you through believing you were murdered by me TWICE! Made the pain of both experiences just as excruciating as if it were a fatal blow! Mind controlled you into doing my bidding after you refused to join willingly, making you attempt to kill your brother and those other fools that stood in the way of my triumph! …I’ve scarred you for life!”).
Luigi has to just be too weak of heart, void of all self-respect to not pursue righting the wrongs against him, as Dimentio cannot accept the weakness actually being his own. It would just be unfair if Luigi was really able to be truly happy in spite of everything — foolishly daring to extend any hand to one of his tormentors so nonchalant! — where Dimentio wasn’t, and could have been too if not for the choices he made.
Dimentio cannot stand to be wrong.
For everything he’s done to truly have been for nothing.
And in his last ditch effort to seize some sort of victory, he seals his final failure.
Count Bleck goes out finally at peace, Dimentio goes out denied any closure.
((TL;DR, I gave my thoughts on my personal theories with Dimentio’s past/the story of the Magician’s family and a bunch of character study stuff surrounding it with a stupid amount of words because I can’t shut up.))
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ever since i got into SPM as a kid, i never really liked the theory that dimentio is the magician's son mentioned in the pixl queen saga, but the more i think about it, the more i kinda do like it? the idea that dimentio had a loving family once and watched as things like greed and pride and selfishness ripped it apart and that's why he wants a perfect world that he can absolutely control, and maybe why he underestimates the power of love so much. i dunno. i think he works well as a guy who's very purposely never explained in the story, but it's fun to think about it, right?
so here's an exchange within the confines of super dimentio. dialogue from kung fu panda 2

You said not to ask you about super paper mario so i am here to ask you about super paper mario haha.
Have you drawn Dimentio yet? I know, overrated character, but he is sooo creature of all time to me. I know he is evil and cannot be redeemed and whatever but look at him he can wiggle his finger and go "Nuh-uh!"
Alas, I cannot escape x'D I just don't think I can answer questions relating to SPM very well lore/theory/headcanon-wise cause of my lack of knowledge for canon stuff atm.
But as for your question, I think I've drawn him like maybe once or twice back in 2018-2020??? idk x'DDD
Anyway!! I did a quick rough sketch of him for this ask and how I'd like to draw him tho! He really has a creature vibe but that won't stop me from exploding him on sight :3c

what are some of your favorite Super Paper Mario headcanons?
I wasn't sure how specific you'd want those to be but I tried to think of a few that I personally enjoy/tend to apply myself!Includes spoilers.
Some general headcanons:
SPM takes longer than than a day/few days (maybe about a month or two)
Flipping into 3D is a nauseating experience and it takes time to fully adjust to it (especially for Mario, he never really managed to get over it).
Pure Hearts emit a comforting aura, a sense of warmth and calm, while the Chaos Heart feels like a thousand voices are whispering in your ear.
Tumblr media
Some character specific headcanons:
Mario finds himself confused and lost more than he ever did in his life during this adventure. His usual confidence and grounded attitude are shaky because almost everything in these other worlds makes no sense to him, which is rather frustrating, especially at the beginning of his journey where he's completely surrounded by strangers and forced into the hero role. (Seriously, Mario couldn't even go home if he wanted to because he's stuck not on an island but between dimentions where he was TELEPORTED IN. There isn't really a door that leads to the Mushroom Kingdom.)
Peach's parasol is hardened by steel and enhanced by magic with a sharp tip at the end. She changed her heels to something more comfortable on the Flipside and put her hair up so it doesn't get in the way during travel and unavoidable combat.
Bowser takes his 'marriage' very seriously. He cares more about Peach than Mario in the team so when she's trouble he'll dash to assist her (he can run when he really wants to huh), but if the red plumber's in trouble he'll pretend to not see it or brush it off. (unless his lovely wife nags him about it).
Tumblr media
Luigi, after landing is the Underwhere, finds lots of stuff in his pockets that he doesn't remember squirreling away like firecrackers, bolts and a small screwdriver. He is in fact very confused.
Count Bleck isn't very emotional. Most of the time he only has one, sad and dull expression. Any type of larger emotion showing through means that you've REALLY pushed it to the extreme.
The minions know the kind person that the Count is deep at heart so they're not put off by his frown, except for Mr.L. A default reaction that the brainwashed soldiers get as a 'bonus' from Nastasia is the highest respect for the Count, yes, but also fear of him. The fear ensures that they are most obedient but it's more of a failsafe than anything. You can imagine how it looks when Mr.L, an exploding and tempered personality, runs around the castle causing havoc like a brat and then suddenly just FREEZES on the spot at the sight of Bleck.
On the topic of the quirks of Nastasias ability, usually a person only needs to be brainwashed once. HOWEVER due to a certain someone who likes to provoke the man in green and his subconscious she is required to sometimes strengthen the control on Mr.L as she doesn't trust the magician with keeping his mouth shut. At one point she directly orders L to actively stay away from the jester, even forcing him to follow her around when she works.
Dimentios poncho and hat are covered in glitter and his mask is porcelain-esque, also the idea of him being the "son of the magician". I just think this theory is quite fitting and I like the thought of him being actually 3000 years old. He's not very popular at the castle but everyone has a silent agreement to not bother him. He however bothers everyone and likes to stare. When he's intrigued he tends to tilt his head slightly.
Mimi enjoys designing clothes and tries to give fashion advice to her teammates (to absolutely no avail because who cares we're literally ending the world, we're evil and depressed blehhhh). She and Dimentio have an 'annoying sibling' dynamic and she wouldn't hold back against him in battle at all for all the times he's messed with her. She also enjoys filing her nails to be super sharp.
Nastasia is a very strict person who takes her duties seriously but she does have a side for fun. You just need to search for it a little.
O'Chunks likes to spar with Mr.L in his free time. Mr.L is in general one of the few people he can do this with since Mimi says that 'she doesn't want to ruin her dress over such a stupid thing' and Dimentio always finds an excuse or simply dissapears.
Post SPM headcanons:
There is little conflict with the neighbouring kingdoms after the void incident. Peach, Mario and Luigi use that free time to have fun and just relax after everything that happened. They need eachothers support for the time being.
'Team Bleck' still meets up often after everything and hangs out. They don't necessarily talk about the Count but it's nice knowing that there are other people who understand what you're feeling right now. *They've been trying to have a full group reunion with Luigi included for some time now. Things are a bit awkward among them but it's still nice when he agrees to come along.
Luigi inherits some of Dimentios mannerisms which shine through from time to time such as laughing patterns, hand gestures and a rather malicious looking grin... A bit more unrelated and physical change is that his hair tends to turn white when he's around strong sources of power. (Dream Stone and Dark Star levels kind of powerful ykyk maybe Super Star as well or stardust in general cause star child origins) and the eyes somewhat darken.
Tumblr media
He's also never really informed about the specifics of his Mr.L and Super Dimentio arc. Mario doesn't really want to burden his brother with something that was in the past and not a necessary in his eyes knowledge since it wasn't truly him.
The Chaos Heart isn't completely gone. It rests, slowly regaining power within it's host, accumulating all the scattered fragments like puzzle pieces. Try all you want but you can never fully get rid of chaos, it's an inescapable force.
I might gather up some more another time but I'd say that's it for now! You might've already heard some of these before but I hope it was at least a good read.

The Death of the Tragic Devil
Watched Skyehoppers’ SPM video today so I’ve been thinking about the lore and my headcanons/theories again. Thus I whipped out a ‘mentio (RIP)
