This is our neighbour’s cat, Blizzard. He’s a very friendly boy.

I did bring him to see my mom a few minutes later. I would absolutely keep him if I could, but mom says no.

“You don’t live here” I say all the while I’m grinning ear to ear because there is a cat in my house, even if just for a few minutes. I know I don’t entirely sound like it, but I was very amused by him checking out everything with no cares.

The Greatest Hawkman Story Ever Told

is from Flash Comics #40. Carter and Shiera are friends with an ornithologist, who despairs that he can't get his university's Board of Trustees to attend his bird lecture:

Horrified by the idea that someone could Not Care About Birds, the Hawks decide to stalk the trustees:

(Dr. Stone's job being at risk is not mentioned before or since.)

Trustee #1 is hunting and thinking about how much he doesn't care about birds:

Until he's mysteriously attacked by a bear!

But who's there to save him? BIRDS.

With a newfound appreciation for birds, he agrees to go to the bird talk.

Trustee #2 is getting mugged on the way to the opera while his date laments they aren't listening to someone talk about birds:

At this point I'm legitimately unsure if the Hawks are setting everyone up or not. In any case they're saved by BIRDS.
