The most lackluster tourist attraction for the city is its zoo.

hey, your comic thing looks really cool. Please explain to me why I should love your *checks notes* stupid fucking cannibal deer guy. I would love to love him
Gonna treat this as an excuse to ramble about my thing!
The comic itself is a semi-anthology horror that explores different circumstances (and consequences) of immortality.
It takes place (mostly) in a small UK inspired village called MouseHollow, on the surface this is a perfect idyllic town but in reality it is deeply plagued by supernatural happenings which no one investigates because “tragedy doesn’t happen in scenic little Mousehollow”
The plot centers around a small team of “investigators” consisting of a pair of newly appointed officers and a tired coroner (the deer guy)
Due to a tragic fire that killed the former employees at the station (except the chief who no one has seen since the accident as they won’t leave their office and talks exclusively over the intercoms) the two officers “spots” and Calliope are left to solve the mysteries of Mousehollow with basically no backup so they ask the local coroner for help, Coroner Venison Birk our main guy.
Venison himself has some dark secrets, mainly that due to the lack of supervision has a bit too free range of the many bodies that show up in relation to mysteries (won’t get into that too much now since I don’t want to spoil TOO much)
Early into this new alliance Venison gets access the only piece of evidence related to the fire at the station, a huge mysterious tome that looks at least several hundred years old and he very soon finds out that maybe touching very old books related to tragic crimes probably isn’t the best idea (WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE)
Propaganda as to why you should love Venison Birk:
He’s a little bit pathetic,
completely doomed by the narrative,
cannibalism metaphor!!?!???? Even though he’s a deer!!?!?
Talks like he’s been possessed by an evil pretentious dictionary (funny)
He’s just a little guy but he gets to go absolutely feral at least once

Afram Ísland – My Trip to Iceland
Tumblr media
“Anyone can go to Japan or USA, but not everyone gets to go to Iceland”.
While everyone has ambitions to visit Asia or the Americas, I’ve always wanted to visit Iceland. This dream started around mid-2016 when I was on Instagram, seeing some of Mark Forrer’s work.
instagram
At first, it was the travel photography aspect that inspired me to make the trip. Then I found out LazyTown was made in this country and it gave me more of a reason to visit.
Just saying, convincing my parent to let me go here wasn’t easy since they have no idea what Iceland is. I kept using multiple of my cards to do the trip. “Do it for my birthday!”, “Christmas???”, “I have a (former) friend who’s going and we plan to go together“, “Graduation Trip?!“. Eventually, the trip happened… not because of my persistence, not because I was able to save up money… because 2 of my parents’ old co-workers in the Philippines shared photos on Facebook.
Yes… it was their old co-workers that convinced them to go to Iceland.
So after 1 year of saving up $6000 AUD, some “pocket money” from grandma, and getting recommendations from Instagram and online friends, we were off to Iceland!
What do I know about Iceland?
All I knew was that Iceland is a country in Europe. It’s where LazyTown was made and produced. And it’s a good place to go if you’re an aspiring travel photographer.
I barely know any Icelandic artist. I didn’t know who Bjork or Sigur Ros was. All I knew were Greta Salome, Matthias Matthiason, Sylvia Erla, Unnur Eggerts, and anyone who was either involved in LazyTown or Eurovision.
Yeah… my knowledge about Iceland is limited.
It wasn’t until I was talking to a few people who either visited or lived in Iceland + some YouTube channels to learn more information about their geography.
youtube
First Impressions
When I first arrived in Iceland, I was somewhat happy that it was finally cold (I was in the UK prior for a few days). The bus ride from Keflavik to Reykjavik was somewhat scenic as it’s not many buildings, more on landscapes.
The architecture of the buildings was interesting as it’s all stone. It somewhat reminds me of some houses in the Philippines. You rarely see modern looking houses.
One thing that caught my eye is that it never gets dark in the summer. I’m a night owl and staying up till 12-1am and just seeing the sun beginning to set… it’s something you don’t see every day.
The Travel Photography aspect
Tumblr media
The main reason why I’m in Iceland is to take photos.
I like photography and at least most of the areas you visit, it makes a really good photo. Even downtown Reykjavik, it’s very photogenic if you know where to look.
Not only the iconic landscapes are beautiful but also the buildings.
But I also liked venturing outside of the main town and visiting the iconic spots. From all the places I’ve visited such as Kirkjufell, Skógafoss, Sólheimajökull glacier, and etc, I was looking forward to seeing the iconic US Navy DC-3 Plane Wreckage at Sólheimasandur.
The LazyTown Aspect
I’m now a casual LazyTown fan since 2018.
I used to be a hardcore fan but I went down to casual because life got in the way. But it doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten the facts I’ve learned and the show that I still love and enjoy till this day.
Originally – I wanted to go to the transport museum in Borgarnes. The problem is that I can’t drive and a taxi service no longer exists. So plan B – WALK AROUND REYKJAVIK!!!
What fans don’t seem to realize is that there are much more spots to hit if you do a “LazyTown Pilgrimage” around the city. In fact – there are 4!!!
1. Rocket studios (where Jol í Latabae was recorded)
Tumblr media
2. Landsbókasafns Íslands – Háskólabókasafns (National Library of Iceland – University Library)
Tumblr media
3. The National Theater
Tumblr media
4 ROK – Magnus Scheving’s restaurant
But the most memorable part of this trip was when I met Máni Svavarsson! He was really nice and we did talk a lot. I have so many stories but that will be in a video for another day.
The tourist aspect
And of course – as this is a graduation trip, I’d want to see what Iceland has to offer. The best thing about this part is that since everything almost in walking distance, there will be a surprise right around the corner.
For me, that was the cat cafe called Kattakaffihúsið. I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS A CAT CAFE IN REYKJAVIK!!!!
WHY DIDNT ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS!?!?!
Tumblr media
Blue Lagoon was also nice! Warm though… but it was nice and relaxing that I can see why it’s the “go-to” place in Iceland.
Nám er Gott (Learning is Good)
Asides from the touristy, fandom-y, and photography aspects that Iceland has to offer, I did get to learn something new each day. During one of my tours, we learned that the glaciers in Iceland are melting and if things don’t improve, all the glaciers will melt after 200 years.
It’s kinda a shame since I want to go to a glacier cave that I’ve seen in a few travel photos and videos. When I was climbing up, you can see small puddles and rivers cutting through the ice as the water is 2 degrees warmer than the ice itself. The black ash/dirt helps insulate the glacier but it’s not enough to keep it cool forever.
Funny enough – the museum was NAMED AFTER HIM (Kjarvalsstaðir – Kjarval’s place).
Each day was a new adventure
Not gonna lie, but each day, I’ve got to see something new or unexpected. Going to Iceland was like the trip of my life. I’ve appreciated every moment when I was there and I wish I could stay a little longer.
There are places and things I wished to visit such as the Kolaportid Flea Market or ACTUALLY GO to the Transport Museum in Borgarnes. Maybe also see the Northen Lights (but that’s only during winter)… but who knows, maybe next time.
But overall, I enjoyed my time in Iceland. I do hope I’d get to come back again in the future! For now, it’s back to saving money for the next great adventure.
I’ve filmed a lot of my trip here in Iceland, detailing more of what just happened. So expect multi-episode daily vlogs appearing on my YouTube channel soon.

Location: Where you live plays a significant role in determining dog walking rates. Urban areas, such as London, tend to have higher living expenses and greater demand for dog walking services, resulting in higher costs.
Duration and Frequency: The duration and frequency of walks can impact the overall price. Longer walks or more frequent walks may lead to higher dog walking rates.
How to Choose a Dog Walker
When it comes to finding the right dog walker for your furry companion, there are several important factors to consider. We understand that the well-being and safety of your pet is of utmost importance, so we’ve put together some valuable tips to help you make an informed decision.
Experience and Qualifications: Start by looking for a dog walker who has experience in handling dogs similar to yours. They should have a good understanding of dog behavior and basic training techniques. Additional qualifications such as pet first aid certification can also be a valuable asset.
Tumblr media
Reliability and Trustworthiness: Trust is a crucial factor when it comes to leaving your beloved pet in someone else’s care. Look for a dog walker who has a proven track record of being reliable and trustworthy. After a day exploring the beautiful landscapes of Northern Ireland, a dog wash station becomes an essential stop. These facilities are designed to help clean up after a day of adventure, ensuring that pets are fresh and tidy. Many stations offer adjustable heights and easy-to-use features, making the process straightforward and stress-free for both pets and their owners. Whether traveling or just out for a day trip, finding a nearby dog wash station helps maintain your pet’s comfort and cleanliness, making it a valuable part of any outing.
Choose pet-safe cleaning products: Opt for cleaning products specifically formulated for pets. Look for labels that indicate they are safe for use around animals. These products are designed to effectively clean while being gentle on our dogs’ sensitive skin and respiratory systems, especially in places like a dog wash station.
Tumblr media
Avoid toxic cleaners: Stay away from cleaning products that contain toxic ingredients such as bleach, ammonia, or phenols. These substances can be harmful if ingested or inhaled by our dogs. Instead, opt for natural or eco-friendly alternatives that are free from harsh chemicals, particularly when cleaning a dog wash station.
What Happens If You Don’t Express Your Dog’s Glands?
If you neglect to express your dog’s anal glands, there are potential risks and consequences that can arise. These include:
Possible impaction: If the anal glands become full and are not properly expressed, they can become impacted. This can lead to pain and discomfort for your dog.
Infection: When the anal glands are not regularly emptied, there is an increased risk of infection. Bacteria can build up, leading to inflammation and potential abscesses.
Tips for Keeping Your Dog’s Anal Glands Healthy
If you notice any signs of anal gland problems or have concerns about your dog’s anal gland health, it is recommended to consult with your veterinarian. They can provide further guidance and address any specific concerns you may have. By following these tips, you can help prevent dog anal gland problems and contribute to your dog’s overall well-being.
To keep your dog’s anal glands healthy, it is important to take certain measures to prevent potential problems. Here are some tips to help you maintain your furry friend’s anal gland health:
Provide a well-balanced diet: Feed your dog a diet that is rich in fiber. This will help promote regular bowel movements and prevent constipation, reducing the risk of anal gland issues. Consult with your veterinarian to determine the appropriate dietary recommendations for your dog’s specific needs.
Encourage regular exercise: Regular physical activity can help keep your dog’s digestive system healthy and maintain regular bowel movements. Taking your dog for walks, playing fetch, or engaging in other forms of exercise will not only benefit their overall health but also contribute to anal gland health.
Tumblr media
How Rabbit Ears Improve Dog’s Health
Rabbit ears offer numerous benefits for dogs, contributing to their overall health and well-being. These natural treats serve as a dewormer, utilizing the hair bristles to cleanse the intestines and reduce the parasite burden. By gently dispelling undigested food, rabbit ears aid in improving digestion and enhancing nutrient absorption.
The chewiness of rabbit ears plays a crucial role in dental health for dogs. As they are gnawed on, rabbit ears work to remove plaque and promote dental hygiene. This natural teeth-cleaning process promotes fresh breath and strong teeth, ensuring optimal oral health.
Benefits of Rabbit Ears for Dogs
Rabbit ears offer several benefits for dogs. They can help with deworming, as the hair bristles improve digestion and help eliminate worms. The fiber content in rabbit ears can also aid in regulating bowel movements and improve anal gland health. Chewing rabbit ears promotes the release of endorphins, reducing anxiety. They are also beneficial for dental health, as the abrasive texture helps remove plaque. Rabbit ears are hypoallergenic and can be suitable for dogs with allergies. They are a nutritious and natural treat option for dogs.

Best Cities to Travel in the UK: My Journey Through Culture, History, and Charm!
When I planned my trip to the UK, I was overwhelmed with choices. The UK is rich in history, culture, and scenic beauty, but with so many cities to choose from, it was tough to decide where to start. I wanted to experience the best the UK has to offer without getting caught up in the usual tourist traps. After some research and personal exploration, I found that a few cities stood out for their unique blend of history, culture, and charm.
Tumblr media
Problem: Overwhelmed by Options
Planning a trip to the UK can be daunting. With cities like London, Edinburgh, and Manchester each offering something different, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. I wanted to experience the essence of the UK without getting lost in the shuffle of crowded tourist spots.
Agitation: Missing Out on Authentic Experiences
The last thing I wanted was to spend my time in the UK hopping from one crowded tourist attraction to another, missing out on the authentic experiences that make each city special. I knew that to truly appreciate the UK, I needed to find the cities that offered a deeper connection to the country’s history, culture, and everyday life.
Solution: Exploring the Best Cities to Travel in the UK
After visiting several cities and immersing myself in their unique atmospheres, I’ve narrowed down my top picks for the best cities to travel in the UK. Here’s what I discovered.
1. London: The Heart of the UK
No trip to the UK would be complete without visiting London. It’s not just the capital; it’s a city where history meets modernity. I spent a week in London and still felt like I only scratched the surface. From the iconic Big Ben to the Tower of London, there’s no shortage of historical landmarks. But what really captivated me was the vibrant culture—museums like the British Museum (which is free to enter) and art galleries like Tate Modern offer a deep dive into the country’s heritage. If you’re into theatre, the West End is a must-visit, with shows that cater to all tastes.
In terms of numbers, London attracts over 20 million tourists annually, making it one of the most visited cities in the world. Despite the crowds, the city’s extensive public transport system makes it easy to get around and explore different neighborhoods, each with its own distinct character.
2. Edinburgh: A Walk Through History
Next on my list was Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital. Edinburgh is a city that feels like stepping back in time. The medieval architecture, especially the Edinburgh Castle perched atop an extinct volcano, is nothing short of awe-inspiring. I spent hours wandering along the Royal Mile, exploring the narrow alleys and discovering hidden gems like St Giles’ Cathedral.
But Edinburgh isn’t just about history. It’s also a city of festivals, the most famous being the Edinburgh Fringe, which draws performers and audiences from around the world every August. I was there during the festival, and the energy in the city was electric. If you’re planning a visit, try to time it with one of the city’s many festivals to get the full experience.
3. Manchester: The Industrial Powerhouse
Manchester was a pleasant surprise for me. Known as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, Manchester’s history is closely tied to innovation and industry. The city has embraced its past while transforming into a modern metropolis. The Museum of Science and Industry is a must-visit, offering a glimpse into the city’s industrial heritage.
But what really stood out for me in Manchester was the music scene. The city has produced some of the UK’s most iconic bands, from The Smiths to Oasis. I spent a night at a local gig, and the passion for music here is palpable. Manchester is also home to two of the biggest football clubs in the world—Manchester United and Manchester City—so if you’re a sports fan, catching a match is a must.
4. Bath: A Roman Retreat
Bath was my escape into history and relaxation. Famous for its Roman baths, this city is a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers a unique blend of history and leisure. I spent a day at the Thermae Bath Spa, where you can bathe in the naturally warm, mineral-rich waters that the Romans enjoyed over 2,000 years ago.
But Bath is more than just its baths. The Georgian architecture, particularly the Royal Crescent, is stunning, and the city’s compact size makes it perfect for exploring on foot. If you’re a fan of Jane Austen, you’ll find plenty of connections to her life and work here, including the Jane Austen Centre.
5. York: A Journey Through Time
Last but not least, York is a city that took me by surprise with its well-preserved medieval streets and rich history. Walking through the Shambles, a narrow, cobblestone street lined with timber-framed buildings, felt like stepping into a different era. York Minster, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Europe, is a must-see, and climbing to the top offers breathtaking views of the city.
York is also known for its Viking history, and the Jorvik Viking Centre offers an immersive experience into the city’s past. I was particularly impressed by the city walls, which you can walk along for a unique perspective of York.
Conclusion: The Best Cities to Travel in the UK Offer More Than Just Sightseeing
In the UK, there are countless cities to explore, each offering a unique experience that goes beyond the ordinary. While London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Bath, and York top my list, there are many more worth visiting. Whether you're drawn to the vibrant culture of Liverpool, the architectural beauty of Oxford, the historic significance of Cambridge, the coastal charm of Brighton, or the artistic vibe of Bristol, each city adds its own flavor to the UK’s rich tapestry. For those looking to dive deeper into what the UK has to offer, be sure to check out the full list of the 10 best cities to travel in the UK for even more travel inspiration.

Why is the UK a favorite place for international students to study?
For many years, the United Kingdom has been among the most prominent places attracting international students to gain education of first-rate quality, as well as multicultural, and other outstanding life experiences that are otherwise unobtainable. The UK is home to the most recognizable universities in the world and also has a rich history and lively student community. This article will delve into the main factors why the UK is the top option for students and the most trusted provider of student accommodation is Uninist according to its reviews.
Tumblr media
Academic Performance
Universities of International Importance
Four British universities are perpetually in the world’s top ten. Oxford University, Cambridge University, Imperial College of London, and the London School of Economics are some of the globally renowned universities located in the United Kingdom. Those universities are always among the top in various rankings. In the list of the world’s best universities, four British educational institutions are in the top ten, as per the QS World University Rankings (2021).
Innovative Studies
Townsville University is looking to set the standard for cutting-edge research. The national commitment to research quality has been shown through the University’s contributions in the bio, chemistry, and plant pathology sectors, as well as the humanities. UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is investing £6 billion every year, which gives students access to cutting-edge technology and materials.
Cultural Diversity
The UK is home to several cultures of the different groups who are residents there. In the British Isles, people representing 270 nationalities and cultures come together to form one cultural entity.
A Melting Pot of Cultures
The UK is a multiracial society in which students from all countries around the world come to study. In the year 2020, the number of international students in the UK reached over 556,000, with more than 200 nationalities being represented. The cultural diversity of the society creates a rich and inclusive atmosphere, thus students have the chance to embrace new ideas and become citizens of the world.
Language Advantage
Studying in the UK offers the added benefit of improving English language proficiency. English is a medium of instruction in many universities and by interacting with the people around them they can strengthen their language skills. This linguistic advantage is of great value in the global job market of the present.
Quality of Life
Safety and Security
The United Kingdom is known for being among the safest countries in the world in terms of safety and security. Based on the Global Peace Index of 2021, the UK is ranked number one which places it among the most peaceful countries on the planet. Universities and colleges put in place a wide variety of support services to guarantee that students stay safe and healthy. That includes mental healthcare services, career counseling, plus accommodation assistance.
Vibrant Student Life
The UK also boasts of a versatile student life that is colorful and full of activity with cities such as London, Manchester, and Birmingham and historical places in Oxford and Cambridge. Students may go on a tour to visit many unique culture-rich places like; the theaters, the museums, the music festivals, and the sports events. Traveling through all the scenic spots of the United Kingdom is made very easy by the extremely modern and impeccable transport system. The public transport system in the UK has been said to be one of the best in the world, and it is easy to use to go from anywhere in the country, visit any sight, or attend all kinds of events.
Work Opportunities
Post-Study Work Visa
The UK is not only an educational leader; it also offers post-study job opportunities that are attractive to foreigners. Graduate Immigration Route is a new program launched by the UK government, which aims to attract young talents from all over the world. You can stay in the UK and work for up to five months under the Graduate Entrepreneur Scheme. The Graduate Immigration Route allows graduates to stay and work in the UK for up to two years (or three years for PhD graduates) after completing their studies. This visa extension allows students to overcome the basic barriers that may hinder them from understanding concepts.
The visa regime has set the requirement of a master’s degree or above qualification for the business visa application. British universities are recognized all across the world and have the potential to offer very good engineering and MBA courses. Through this service, customers can apply flexibly for visa-related services they need.
Part-Time Work
One of the part-time work careers is in the UK where international students can join while studying as an Oracle solution architect. They have to find out what programs the school has and choose the right one for the project they have in their head. Additionally, they are required to have other basic skills like leadership, collaboration, and organization to solve the challenges. International students in the UK can work part-time during their studies, typically up to 20 hours per week. This can be a good exercise for children, but it also has some potential risks. The consensus is that jobs in highly skilled occupations are in demand worldwide.
Therefore, schools that teach students about these career paths have seen an increase in student enrollment. The second step is applying and getting approval from the Channel Partner Coordinator. They get a work permit from their respective companies and can go outside and join their universities in a stipulated manner. This allows students to gain work experience, support themselves financially, and build professional networks.
Support for International Students
Dedicated Services
One of the reasons that UK universities contrast with US institutions is that the UK tuition is not higher but is the same for domestic students as for international students. In addition to this, there is an option of a further living cost loan that the UK offers to foreign nationals as well as domestic ones. What are the highest-demand careers in healthcare that need fresh ideas for the sustainability and competitiveness of the sector? When we talk about this topic, you can mention some professional opportunities, which are so interesting today. They include orientation programs, academic advising, language support, and cultural integration activities. Diversity Integration Coaching is available on a one-to-one interview basis at most major UK Universities.
The English language support team is responsible for indicating significant letters that accompany the application for the program. Properties are intentionally located exactly near major universities and colleges. This easily provides a connection to campuses and local amenities. Because it includes support elements such as high-speed internet access, study areas, gym spots, and social areas, it becomes easy for Uninist to be a place for personal and academic improvement. In addition, Uninist’s safety commitment encompasses a secure entry system and on-site support 24/7.
