Of course, it is unreasonable to expect them to reach the visual fidelity and presentation of modern AAA titles, but there are many issues present that could have been avoided even with the title’s smaller funding. To make it even worse, the cutscenes are just ugly. From Sam’s gravelly voice grumbling about alien douchebags to veteran soldiers mocking a rookie for not making a good enough one-liner, it all is eye-rolling at best and painful at worst. This stems from much of the comedy stemming from old-school banter that feels ripped right out of the worst Duke Nukem scenes. None of the characters in the game seem to be having any fun with one another, so it doesn’t make sense that the player is expected to have any fun with them either. Every character is the but of the joke and everybody involved seems tired of having to run through the motions. Nearly every line throughout the game is received by the other characters with an air of annoyance. However, none of them seem to get along at all. There is a lot of variety in the cast, from super serious military officers to rambling priests and action-hero wannabes. Players control the titular Sam as he teams up with a variety of characters to try and put an end to it once and for all. The narrative takes place on an Earth besieged by alien invaders. In Serious Sam 4, however, cutscenes and character dialogue tend to be more annoying than anything else.

The series has never wanted to have a serious storyline or to be high art, but previous entries were at least entertaining. However, the most detracting part of Serious Sam 4 is undoubtedly its presentation. Even running in performance mode on Xbox Series X there were also occasional frame drops and screen tearing while the graphical mode was nearly unplayable due to how much it chugged once a high number of enemies appeared. The encounters throughout the game are also tarnished by weird mechanical issues like melee kills only being able to be performed on an enemy’s front. The sounds of their footsteps also curiously sound like the hooves of horses, which doesn’t match their models at all and tends to be distracting. The amount of negative space in their models makes them meld with the backgrounds while their ranged attacks are bulky enough to block the screen and obscure one’s view in an annoying way rather than a challenging one. One in particular that stands out is the Kleer Skeletons. While many of the enemies are well designed with a lot of character and identifiable silhouettes in the chaos of combat, some are very much less so. One big issue comes from the design of enemies. The battles can have a lot of excitement to them, but there are also a number of issues that bog the experience down. There is an impressive variety of enemies and the sheer scale of fights throughout the game is undeniably impressive. Serious Sam 4 implements this formula rather well. As enemies swarm the player they have to cycle through an arsenal of weapons while backpedaling to thin them out and avoid the hail of different projectiles and melee attacks sent their way. The Serious Sam series has always been about over-the-top scale, stereotyped characters, and a tongue-in-cheek tone. While the newest entry has the bones of the series to satisfy longtime fans, the title’s presentation and more janky elements will likely keep them from leaving older releases behind for this new one. Now, Serious Sam 4, developed by Croteam and published by Devolver Digital, attempts to bring that niche back for another round. The Serious Sam series has long had a niche in the FPS genre that is near all its own.

Hello! I'm still relatively new to the fandom, so I'd gone my entire spn existence not seeing this until now, and I have to share because I'm actually going insane and I need smart people to rant to, so apologies if you've already seen this. D*stiel warning, read at your own risk:

There aren't even words, like I'm literally losing my mind. Like these can't be real people. Anyways, let's dive in, guys...

You took Dean's dying speech to Sam, where he's directly vulnerable and honest about his love for his baby boy and diluted it to the fucking gas n sip scene?? Like this is insane I can't even begin to understand the thought process (probs because there isn't one), but omg?? That's so unserious and it's almost funny, but let's move on to the replies because it's way worse.

1. People torn up about the barn is so crazy to me. Buddy, it's not that deep. It's not foreshadowing. They literally just happened to happen in the same type of building. It's so crazy for a character to make their first appearance in a barn, and now every barn must be about him. Weak. Do better.

2. Now this one. This one actually drives me crazy. The scene made you uncomfortable because you think asking him to stay is a "Dean and Cas focal point??" Are you serious?? First of all, Dean has serious abandonment issues, so of course, he wants people to stay in his life, but secondly, Sam has been the main focus of that since the first season. Ever since he went to Stanford. Like did you watch with a fucking blindfold?? Half of the show is just Dean making a crazy decision to keep Sam by his side and the consequences of that. How are you this dumb??

And if I were a gambling man, I'd bet that this person started spn at s4. Like the pieces have fallen into place; it's the only explanation. They're so delusional because they missed the core foundation of the show in s1-3. Their world began when Cas walked on screen so they don't even get the show's thesis, and it's so annoying. It's about Sam and Dean. Get over it. "Love story of two brothers." - Jensen Ackles.

3. "Sam/Dean wasn't the relationship that was crying out for emotional payoff." Bestie I'm in your fucking walls. This has literally been building between Sam n Dean for 15 YEARS. Dean was dying and needed to get out how he felt since the beginning. It was a confession, alright, but you can't handle that it was to his brother, and I feel sorry for you. I get you don't care about the brothers' relationship because of your D*stiel compulsion, but get it together. It's embarrassing.

Also, Jensen literally said he went off script for emotional scenes (including the Sam/Dean barn confession) because it felt right [X]. J2 knows Sam and Dean better than me, you, or anyone else. Even the writers (to the point where they were given the script and told to make it theirs). It's so wild that you can ignore that.

4. "Head touch." I'm not even gonna waste time typing about this. Just look at [this] post. Says more than I ever could.

Anyways. Sorry about that, guys. I'm actually so chill and friendly, I swear :33 I just needed to rant to my homies with media literacy because it's literally dead and I was going insane :)

I also see a lot of people doubting Armand's influence -at all- and I think that almost 18 months may be just too long for a tale like this... People have forgotten that Rolin and the cast and crew already confirmed this. It's not made up. And there is so much more to it.

I saw that IG story, and I cackled, tbh. I mean, they're all very much playing with it, and pouring oil in to the fire, lol.

We'll see. Jacob's comment about the misunderstanding that not all representation needs to be good representation is fresh in my mind - and I don't want this to be misunderstood as pointing fingers - but the VC relationships are a MESS. There is a LOT going on. With all of them.

And... I don't think they're shying away from any of that mess.

I think season 2 will pull out the rug from under our feet in several ways, and I for one am all here for it^^.

First, first!!

The moment where Doram and Nozaki try to get Nogi's Face ID at the restaurant was adorably funny.

Also: The Nozaki-Doram-Genghis teamup later? Love it.

Onto the next stuff in this episode (there's so much. I'm only just touching upon some things)

Nozaki being written and treated as a very competent state agent makes me happy. He's not hyper-competent, he has "fun", he's not hyper-serious all the time (that shit-eating-"You won't believe the plan I've cooked up heheheheh"-grin he has is golden--he's smart. He'll mess with people if he needs to and shares only the necessary info he has with those he trusts (at the moment). He also revels in messing with people haha. Plus he uses his jovial nature to get on others' good side, but he's sincere when he means it. I'm positive that prior to all this he truly has taken an interest in Nogi and is going to treat him the same way, but with more subtly poking to figure out what's going on

I love Nozaki (and I truly believe that in light of the reveal this week, he found Nogi endearing, was maybe falling for him or just wanting him to be ok idk, and now has to suspect him and truly learn who he is) but now I'm genuinely worried we will lose someone in the main cast by the finale.

(I have become a Nozaki oshi.)

A theory that had been floated about on twitter by multiple viewers in the VIVANT theories tag actually came to be. Multiple people pointed out that when Nogi was waiting outside the Balka International Bank, he was holding what looked like Ali's phone and something else. At first some wondered if it was a portable charger, but were curious when the switch happened. That was all revealed this week and I can't believe how much theorists were on the point trying to figure out what happened.

Nozaki's true past being discovered was more than I expected though. Amnesia, being sucked into the grim world of human trafficking...is this how Nogi F (or B through E) was born?

Finally: I can't tell if Sam was bad or if the CIA was trying to get Ali as an intelligence asset, BUT NOOOO SAM!!!!! NOGI F HOW THE HELL COULD YOU?! I LIKED OUR LUPIN IIIrd FANBOY CIA AGENT.

(that said, this means he met Sam at the Rongaly Military School then?!)

Jamine being some sort of "miracle child"?! Is Sakurai, Nogi's handler? Who's the head of BEPPAN?!

Now we find out that the character with Nino is Nogi's dad?! That he survived?! Nino is some kind of adopted son?! Or did his wife survive and they had another child?! Ali said he didn't meet her, but had seen the photos...but...still

The amount of silent screaming I was doing during the "execution" scene was obscene. I don't think I could've handled another episode 4 type ending. (That said, I think both Nogi F and Kurosue were willing to go all the way and cut the wires if Ali hadn't cooperated)

And I can't be the only one who is having a hard time telling Nogi A from Nogi F. I feel during the "executions", the apology was delivered by Nogi A. I think that in intense moments like the "executions" they both flip between each other, or even that the true Nogi is the one present. Not one or the other.

Nozaki slowly closing in on the TENT-BEPPAN stuff is wonderful to watch. The fact that Nogi Suguru was an officer with the National Police (and not the Prefectural Police) was surprising. Why did he quit? Why go to Balka? Nozaki being with a federal agency will easily be able to access this information now. What he does with the info he does learn will be interesting because at the moment, with the information viewers have from episode 5, it's that Nogi's father left the NPA(?), went to Balka with his wife and son, something happened, his son was kidnapped and trafficked, he changed his name and somehow he created a terrorist group based in Central Asia using his family's crest as its own symbol? I'm curious how the NPA officer-to-mystery-organization-leader thing happened.

Masato Sakai is a wonderfully talented actor. Episode 5 was an absolute treat of his talents. (Can he get more menacing roles in the future???)

I'm also noticing NogI F's actions and interrogation methods are reminding of an older Masato Sakai drama from 2010 where he led a "double life" (it's nothing like this level) called JOKER: Yurusarezaru Sousakan. In it, by day he's a law-abiding officer of the law and at night he's a bit of a vigilante ala "You have failed this city". There's more to it, but that's all I remember. I couldn't help but feel that as a much more mature actor, Sakai dipped into that a bit.

Speaking of Nogi F, while I understand that what we know of BEPPAN's mission is apparently for the sake of saving the country from a potential attack, it's currently at the "Cool motive, still murder" stage and deeply morally grey. I'd like to know how he came to be paired with Kurosue and if he knows about Nogi F.

Which, from what the lady at the orphanage mentioned, it sounds like Nogi F (or B, C, D or E) have been around since he was a small child....

Anyway. I'm watching Episode 6 after dinner or shortly. Idk. T_T)

"- but also, speaking of; Foosh!" You exclaim with delight, "I haven't spoken to Foolish in ages, I miss him!" Your train of thought is quick to switch tracks, suddenly fond adoration shines through your tone. "There's a few people that I've been meaning to speak to since our holiday -" Dream hums at that, but doesn't comment; you wonder if he's fidgeting with his ring at the memory like you wished you could. But your ring was sitting, gold and demure on your desk just out of frame.

"I need people to take me seriously in Minecraft again," you mused after a moment, and you sigh dramatically before Dream can even begin to ask you what you mean, "everyone thinks I'm silly, which-" you clarify pointedly, "I am, but I contain multitudes! Silly is a facet!" Dream is muffling his laughter behind his hand, and you're grinning despite your attempt at a serious tone, "just because I, as a content creator, only have one braincell, and that braincell happens to be allergic to my- Dream's," you catch yourself quickly, hoping your chat hadn't noticed your slip, "doesn't mean I can't craft a mean character! Once I message Q and Sam back, it's over for all you hoes!"

With one eyebrow painted in bleach, and carefully holding a chemical-laden brush in one hand, you pause, expression contemplative as you frowned at yourself in the mirror you'd brought into your office for the stream.

"I don't know why people assume I don't think about my future," you mused, expression as serious as you can muster, "I think about Dream all the time-"

"People assume you don't think about your future because you're an idiot," Quackity supplies, equally as deadpan, holding the bowl of bleach in one hand, though most of his focus on your chat speeding along.

You don't even seem to register what he'd said. Or, if you do, you don't seem bothered by it. After a moment, as you carefully smear the bleach on your other eyebrow, you turn, and Quackity finally looks to you, doing an incredible job of not laughing, at least until you start speaking.

"Do people really bleach their assholes? This burns on my eyebrows, I wouldn't want it anywhere near my-"

"Pretty sure they don't put hair bleach on assholes - no," he says very seriously, seeing the glint of mischief and intrigue in your eyes, barely containing his laughter, muttering, "why am I the reasonable one here, what kind of opposite day bullshit -"

"I just wanna see what all the fuss is about!"

"They don't put hair bleach on assholes to bleach them!"

"How do you know so much about asshole bleaching?!"

"Sometimes I really question Dream's tastes -"

"Don't deflect the question, Alex!" You shout through your laughter, "and don't be fucking rude!"

"You invited me here, it's like you don't even know me," he snorted, "I swear you used to seem smarter than me," he mused, squinting at you, though his tone was still light and obviously teasing. For your part, you grinned toothily at him, taking none of his insults to heart.

"That's on you, dork, do less lawyer activities," you teased fondly, to which he rolled his eyes.

"Is that your way of asking me to help bleach your asshole?"

"No..." you thought about it for a moment, really considered, "yes? No. Maybe?" You looked to your monitor as he found himself doubled over with laughter, "sub goal? What do we think, chat?"

And you and Quackity chat back and forth for a while, figuring out what number could conceivably be realistic, given that the time limit was the remainder of the stream, granted the two of you hadn't been online long and had intended this to be something of a half-day stream, with VC cameos from your various friends.

"- okay, so if we reach that before eleven, we'll spend the last hour before midnight..." you took a deep breath, scrunching up your whole face while Quackity wore a shit-eating grin, "bleaching my asshole," you sighed, like you can't quite believe you'd agreed.

"I know your viewers are dedicated, but are they that dedicated?" Quackity asked, eyes shining with mirth at your apparent regret.

And you go back to your mirror, and the task at hand.

Less than a minute later, an audio cue goes off on your stream, letting you know someone had donated some gift subs. You sighed.

"It begins," you muttered with a thin smile, squinting at yourself in the mirror, carefully wiping the bleach off of your first eyebrow with a damp cloth, as Quackity reads out -

"Thank you, Dream -" and is immediately incapacitated with laughter, as upon hearing your husband's screen name, you knew it could not mean good things. As if on cue, Dream's voice comes through the office door.

"Okay, okay, in my defence -" he's laughing too, while you're incoherently screeching, reading where he'd just gifted enough subs to reach your goal within a minute of you updating it, "in my defence it's the funniest sub goal you've ever offered."

The next few minutes are simply Quackity only half in frame, past the point of audible laughter, while you've opened the door, and everyone can hear Dream trying and failing to hold in his laughter.

"My love, my darling, apple of my eye, enchilada of my bosom -" you say with the utmost seriousness from off-screen. Only Quackity can see how you're holding Dream's face with both hands, trying desperately to keep your composure.

"Come on, tell me you wouldn't have done the exact same thing," Dream tries to match your tone, but you push on regardless.

"Love of my life, I'm begging to know why you're so insistent that our beloved friend Quackity gets acquainted with my asshole in a way that -"

"I hate this!" Quackity's practically choking on his laughter as he interrupts you, unbridled glee written all over his face, "this is fucking awful, holy shit! This is the worst idea I've ever been a part of -!"

"It's not like you're showing your asshole on camera, it's more that everyone's gonna know and I assume hear you bleaching your asshole with hair bleach," Dream's clearly delighted by this whole series of events, and even Sapnap can be heard laughing in another room, finally figuring out what's happened.

After a moment, you stalked back to your computer and muted the stream, head out of frame. Apparently you say something controversial, however, as Quackity's whole expression shifts to something wide-eyed, mouth falling open in surprise as you head back to the door, and to Dream, with the stream on mute. Everyone sees his mouth move in a distinctly 'wait, what?!' movement.

What the stream doesn't hear is you cackling as you fondly tell Dream he's an idiot, knowing him well enough that you had anticipated his response;

"Yeah, but I'm your idiot! Forever, baby!" Gleefully sticking out his hand to show off his wedding ring, hence Q's surprise. Both you and Dream confirm that it's not a bit, but that it's not public knowledge, and he takes a moment to absorb that information before nodding and grinning at you both, admitting that he's not as surprised as he thought he'd be.

When you unmute your stream, the first thing that Quackity does is raise his voice to ask Sapnap if it's always like this, living with you and Dream. Sapnap says yes, in no uncertain terms, but his voice holds nothing but affection.

"Okay, Q, I can do this on my own, and you can just... I don't know, stay on stream, behind a partition or something, I'm not going to force you to help me," you snort, "bleach my asshole, but -"

"What am I gonna do? Back out? I'm not a bitch; if you're in, I'm in."

And you, with one bleached eyebrow, egged on in your impulsivity by your husband, your chat, and Quackity himself, find yourself almost painfully grateful for the people you surround yourself with, who despite everything, seem to get you in a way that not a lot of people in the past have.

Considering how inconsistent both yours and Dream's sleep schedules are, if either of you has editing or some other quiet work to do, it's easy enough to tune it out and fall asleep to if either of you is working on the computer in your room. If Dream wants to stream, however, or record some kind of voice-related audio, he tends to move into the office as to not wake you up. It's a curtesy that you're grateful for, however you hadn't anticipated that it would generate some of the sweetest audio clips of the pair of you that would end up circling Twitter and Tumblr.

After a night of work, you crash into bed with Dream in the early hours of the morning. When the next day arrives, and with it a planned group stream, Dream logs on at the given time and tells the group that you'd been up all night working, and you're easily forgiven.

An hour into the stream, the door to the office opens, and Dream's focus is pulled from the game.

"Morning, baby," his voice is warm, almost syrupy, close to the affectionate way he'd sometimes been heard to talk to Patches, however, you yawn. You don't even give a proper greeting, pulling up the second seat close to him and resting your head on his shoulder.

"I'm here, I'm here, I'm sorry I'm late," you mumble sleepily, and you hear the faint greetings through Dream's headphones. You tuck your arm into his.

"We're playing Jackbox," he says, and you let your gaze drift across the screen lazily.

"You winning?"

"He wishes!" You hear someone in his headphones, and you grin as Dream laughs.

"You just gotta talk about your dick, or kissin' George -" you're pretty sure you hear someone in his headphone boo at your suggestion, and you're also pretty sure it's Quackity.

"That's how I win?" Dream teases you, voice still sweet and warm, a little muffled where he's pressing a quick kiss to the top of your head.

"Tha's how you win," you yawn again. Both you and Dream know that you're almost definitely going to fall asleep on his shoulder as he plays. You're pretty sure there's no place you'd rather be.

"Dream, fuck off, I'm trying to take myself seriously," you laughed, waiting for the other SMP members to log on and join you for the stream.

"You're so cute though, are you in costume?" Dream, leaning in your doorway, is grinning at you, while you've got your eyes closed, fighting back your own smile.

"I'm doing serious lore things," you crack one eye open to look at him, still trying to keep up the illusion of seriousness, "I helped Q with some cool stuff for his stream, but I'm not half as organised, so I- yeah, I'm in costume," you looked down at your mafia-esque outfit that resembled your current in-game skin.

"Okay, I love you," he says warmly, and obligingly closes the door to the study, while you sit, a little flustered from his attention, waiting. Chat was calling you cute again. You'd let them, for now.

You tried to just chatter away, and keep in mind everything that you and Quackity and Sam had discussed over the past few days, about what this stream would entail. You couldn't lie, you were excited for some of the things you'd been working on for your character to finally come to fruition.

And something about defying your audience's expectations was thrilling.

"- after everything we've been through, why can't you just listen to me, and- and- and understand that I was made Warden for a reason," Sam, who was your older brother in-canon, was yet again attempting to thwart your prison break in attempt.

"After everything we've been through?!" You spat back, but his voice rose over yours.

"I was your Warden first!" He shouted, and your mouth snapped shut at this, your character's fury radiating white-hot from you, "I kept you safe, I loved you, I never gave you reason to doubt me -"

"You weren't my Warden, you were my brother, Sam!" You shouted, trembling your lip, "like every fucking kid comes to understand their parents are flawed, I came to see the same of you; you are not infallible, you were not appointed my guardian - not my Warden - by committee, you were given that position by process of fucking elimination -"

"Don't you dare-" he snarled, but you cut him off.

"Elimination of our parents! Our parents! You were not given a choice, and I get that, okay? And I loved you for who you were, but I'm not a child, and I am not your responsibility anymore -"

"You will always be my responsibility, Y/N -"

"You don't respect me!"

"You don't respect me!" He hollered, "I raised you!"

"You made me what I am," teeth gritted, you straighten in your chair, flicking through your hotbar to begin drinking potions in-game as you spoke, "I'm just glad you never passed on your delusions of adequacy -!" And you attack him; he blocks.

"Why throw your life away for Dream?" Sam tried one last attempt at getting you to see reason, but you'd known this about your character since you'd gotten serious about the roleplay aspect of the SMP.

"Because you didn't have a choice about putting up with me," you told Sam sweetly, "and he did; cry all you want about how you raised me, but I was never a burden to him."

"I won't fight you."

"Then you'll die by my hand," you tell him, and again, you swing your sword at him -

"Could you really live with yourself?"

"I really could; can you?" Your smile is cold.

And you kill him.

Through your closed office door, where you're pretty sure your husband is watching the stream in your room, or on his phone, you hear Dream's 'oh shit!' as the stream, lagging a few moments behind, catches up.

Your heartbeat is thundering in your ears. Sam leaves the VC, and Quackity joins, asks what the fuck just happened. You're picking up Sam's things. Your whole body has been full of tension for the entirety of the stream, and there's a tension headache forming at your temples but you power on.

There's still another reveal, another betrayal, of Quackity against your character, finally admitting to visiting the prison to torture Dream for the revival information, at which point, tense and overwhelmed, tears genuinely begin to form in your eyes. Your character wants to find Foolish, who you've come to trust, or Wilbur, who's been recently revived and seems to have positive feelings towards Dream, but neither of them are online.

"Q, if you get in my way, I'll kill you too," your bottom lip is trembling.

"You're my friend, and I don't want to hurt you," Quackity says, voice heavy and serious.

"Then don't get in my way," you take a deep, shaky breath, finger hovering over the escape key, "because my brother wasn't special enough for me to spare, so don't delude yourself into thinking you would be."

Before you can even hear his response, you exit the server, and end your stream, before muting yourself in the VC, and collapse onto your keyboard, shaking and emotionally depleted. In your earphones, you can still hear Q going off to himself and his chat.

There's a soft knock at your office door, and Dream and Sapnap both let themselves in.

"Dude, holy shit," Sapnap says faintly, and you feel the adrenaline finally mixing with some relief and excitement.

"I'm ordering so much food tonight, just all of it, a buffet," you announce, face still resting against your arms on your desk as a few tired tears dampen your sleeves, "I forgot how much that takes out of me."

Raising your head, you quickly type out a grateful message to both Sam and Quackity, before finally turning away, to see Sapnap and Dream in the door, both looking at you with fondness in their eyes. When you stand, walking to them, they both wrap you up in a tight hug. The three of you, for just a moment, find stillness and serenity here; love from your best friends is exactly what you needed right now.

Later that night, where only the moon can bare witness, Dream will trace abstract shapes on your bare back, and will tell you he loves you for all that you are, and all that you're capable of.

"All this over a Minecraft roleplay?" You'll give a contented, almost dreamy smile, and he'll huff a soft laugh.

"I've loved you for long enough that you think I'd never be surprised by you, but I am."

"Good surprised?"

"Always."

I Lost Dream Privileges & Want Company is the name of your stream when you go live, sulking in Sapnap's room where you'd commandeered his setup in the middle of the afternoon.

"I've been banished from my office because Dream needs to take some photos," you sighed deeply, "and having me around is apparently "counter productive"?" You scoff, using derisive air quotes, "Why? I'm not allowed to tell you, chat, I'd be banned from twitch - wait!" You announced with delight as your eyes lit up.

Suddenly you're a rush of movement and excitement as you scramble around the room, and then burst from the office and around the rest of the apartment.

"Two can play at this game, chat," there's something wild and determined in your eyes as you slam back into your chair with determination, "two can play at this game!" You hiss with excitement, tapping excitedly on your desk.

"Okay, I'm going to film thirst traps, but I need to get ready to film thirst traps, so feel free to ask me questions, and send me audios on TikTok that you recommend; I'll answer the questions while I- where's... where's my eyeliner?" You look over the bundle of clothes and accessories you'd collected and brought in, trying to find it, "everyone looks good in eyeliner, chat, trust me."

And you cherry picked the questions you responded to, though sometimes you decided to humour a few of the more risqué comments; it was the least you could do considering the content you were planning to make that afternoon.

"No, I don't have a maid outfit," you mused when someone asked, "not because I'm opposed to maid outfits, I just literally don't have one," as you're fiddling with the hem of your shirt, your gaze flicks to your chat, "yeah, I have the cat ears somewhere -" eyes going wide, you leapt from your chair, "you're right chat, you're right! I'll be right back!"

By the time you get back, chat has decided to set it's collective sights on a new line of questioning, and you roll your eyes as you secure the ears onto your head.

"Dream isn't my sugar daddy, so no, he hasn't bought me..." you trailed off as you frowned at chat, giving their point some serious thought, "I mean it wouldn't hurt to ask; we both know I could just buy it myself, I can just... you know I can ask..." You go to leave for a moment, but then lean into the camera for effect, "he's not my sugar daddy, chat, don't make this weird." But you're grinning.

You leave your mic on as you head down the hall to the office, leaving Sapnap's door open and making sure both your knock and voice were loud. The stream can hear the door open, and then promptly close before anything's said. Then, Sapnap, muffled.

"I'll sabotage your dick, lemme talk to Dream!" Your response is what chat hears first, followed by quiet, indistinct squabbling between yourself and Sapnap, and the faintest laughter from Dream himself.

"Sit your ass down and finish your stream," Sapnap's marching you back into his room, back to your stream. He bends to cast a disapproving look to the camera, before straightening up and out of frame again.

"I need to know now though," you argued back, swivelling back and forth in his desk chair.

"They're accusing Dream of being my sugar daddy," you then point out, for reasons that appear to evade and confuse your housemate. Dream, now apparently in the hall, laughs louder.

"We don't pay rent," Sapnap reminds you, "they're not wrong."

"Okay, yeah," you concede, "he's our sugar daddy in the communist sense -" Sapnap moves off camera, and chat hears the bedroom door close firmly, but you still appear to be looking at him off camera. Dream, outside the closed door, protests faintly.

"Lemme see Dream all dressed up," you whined, clasping your hands together.

"As if I trust either of you!" Sapnap laughs, which has you momentarily preening at the roundabout compliment, before giving a loud, put-upon sigh, asking if you could at least ask him one question, "sure, through the door."

"Dick," you snipe at him, before raising your voice, "babe would you buy me a maid outfit?"

"Yeah, done, obviously," Dream calls back, barely waiting for you to finish your own sentence before he's agreeing, and Sapnap wheezes a laugh while you turn back to your stream, grinning and all kinds of pleased.

"That's all I wanted to know, thank you!" You smile over your shoulder at Sapnap, who sounded exasperated. The moment he opens the door, however, your gaze snaps to it -

"You look so good! What?!" Dream crows, and your entire face lights up with glee as you see him, "babe, what?!" While Sapnap groans and jokes that he's hourly.

"Sap, no come on," you stand, "babe, come back here, come on -"

"I'm sick of having the only braincell in this house," Sapnap announces, and closes the door.

Slowly, you sink back down into the desk chair, expression a little dazed and delighted. Turning back to your confused chat, you're quiet for a few more moments still, grinning from ear to ear, looking a little starry-eyed.

"Not to rub salt in the wound and remind everyone that I know what Faceless Minecraft YouTuber DreamWasTaken looks like," your smile somehow grows even wider as you sit back, almost giggling to yourself, "but he's so hot; guys," you sighed almost dreamily, "he's so hot, what the fuck?" As if you weren't live looking like a whole damn meal yourself. Predictably, your chat, and also every single social media platform you're on, goes wild with these moments, and your subsequent thirst trap videos.

[screaming crying throwing up about dream and y/n what the FUCK /pos] appeared to be the general consensus, including the moments of mostly dead air where you'd filmed the start of a TikTok to a Cardi B audio, and everyone practically saw the lightbulb go off above your head. Like lightning you're on your feet and wrenching the door open, skittering down the hall.

"This is for content, I promise! Let me in!" You announced with glee, before asking Sapnap to film yourself and Dream for the second half of your video, promising to get out of their hair after. Sapnap must have obliged you, however, as you stroll back in with the full audio playing, and you watching with adoration. Looking to your stream, you grinned from ear to ear.

"That one I have to hold on to," you say slyly, "but I'm already excited to post it." you pause for a moment, smile growing wider, "I don't think I have any content where you can physically see Dream and me together -"

[bestie i think i'd explode if i saw you and dream together] a dono was read out, and you started to practically cackle with glee confirming that that may have been your intention. This clip is taken and posted onto Twitter, blowing up with the caption;

Glad to see Y/N and Dream have gone from bullying each other to making themselves everyone else's problem.

And a month later, when Dream's photos from the Change My Clothes album shoot become public, you're both a simp and feral on main for your husband in a suit, before you get the go-ahead to post the thirst trap of the two of you.

Predictably, with you in your thirst trap outfit, and Dream in his suit and mask, side by side, his arm around you and hand low on your hip, it has waves of followers foaming at the mouth. Finally, video proof of your proximity, of your relationship. It's fifteen seconds but its everything to your fans, and quietly, to you.

"Last time I was in LA I was on my honeymoon," at the end of November, you finally decide to humour your Californian friends and go to visit them, on your own this time. There's an influx of content creators in LA at the time, and beside you on the balcony, Wilbur chokes on his drink.

"You what?" He splutters, and you're apologising, trying to offer a packet of tissues, though most of the drink didn't end up on Wilbur himself. Once you were sure he was alright, you took a deep breath, fully realising what you'd said; before leaving, you'd had this same conversation with Dream, and you were both okay with your friends knowing, since Quackity had known for months now.

"Yeah," you laughed a little, "I just remember because I've got a photo from then on a balcony like this," you raise your hand. There, in gold, your wedding band, subtle and unassuming.

"You're not joking right now, are you?" Wilbur asks, repositioning his glasses and leaning in to take a closer look at your ring. You're not quite sure how to respond to that in a way that he'd believe. However, it appears that he's convinced enough by the ring, because when he looks back to you, he's beaming.

"You really went and married Dream and kept it quiet for- for how long?" There's something proud and genuine in his voice, and you grin in response.

"Like seven months," that appears to come as a shock, however, and you can't help but laugh with delight, finally able to admit it, "and I know everyone thinks it was too soon, but I've... I've really never been more sure of a decision in my life, and -"

"Haven't you two been together for years?" Wilbur frowns a little, and you go quiet, expression twisting.

"Not... technically?" And despite how hard it is to explain, you're glad that Wilbur seems to understand. He takes another sip of his drink and leans back against the railing, asking if he's allowed to call Dream your lover still.

"God, absolutely not, even I hate that."

"Is househusband better?" And it's almost as bad, but in a strange way, it makes you light up with joy.

"The moment the rest of the world knows, you have my blessing," you tell him, delighted llaughter ringing from you, "you may not have Dream's, but you have mine."

The world finds out during MCC All Stars.

The four of you that make up the internet-dubbed Dream Team are finally together; in order to balance teams, the four of you have never been in more than duos together on separate teams, so there's a warm familiarity to be competing together.

Still, as a player, you're underestimated in the predictions, your strength as a player, especially in PVP, and consistent high ranking often overlooked due to your exuberant personality, but you couldn't bring yourself to care.

There boys were your best friends, you were married to one of them, if there was ever a group you could focus for, and fight for, it was the Dream Team.

You helped devise plans, and followed plans and orders with ease. You came third overall in Battle Box despite your team losing focus, and placed in the Top Five for both Skybattle, and Parkour Tag, coming 7th overall, while you and your boys championed your way through the games to Dodgebolt.

The second to last, however, had been Sands of Time, and Dream had kept the team focused and on task as the Sand Keeper. As the game came to an end, and your team was cheering at winning the game by what felt by a landslide, you couldn't help yourself;

"This is why I married you!" You laughed loud and bright.

"Knew there was a reason," George teased.

"Best fuckin' Sand Keeper right here," Dream crowed with confidence, "Sand Keeper, I'm a keeper; they nailed it!"

"You guys are so stupid," Sapnap's grin was loud and clear, pride bright in his voice as the cheering moved on and you all moved on for the final game. As you did, however, you chanced a look to your chat, and it hit you what you'd just said... to seventy thousand people. Twitter was going to be a nightmare.

[so everyone knows now] Dream sends, and you reply with an apology. He tells you that you don't need to apologise, he's just glad he doesn't have to hide it anymore. If you weren't seconds away from the last game before Dodgebolt, you would have marched into his room and kissed him until he was damn well breathless.

After TGTTOSAWAMCCPWHNWAEY finishes and the results are in, messages in-game begin to pop up as you assume viewers are spreading the word.

As you all waited for Dodgebolt, you pick up the ring that had been sitting just off to the side of your keyboard, putting it on your finger and grinning, listening as the boys are all joking and laughing at the others' confusion about you and Dream. They hear you typing, and ask, with mild trepidation, what you're going to send, but you don't tell them until you press enter.

Though the audible aside you add is heard only by your teammates who are wheezing with laughter, as you do your best impression of the John Mulaney sketch moment as you explain that 'now I've thrown them off their rhythm' regarding the team you'll be facing. If it does anything, it incites your team's laughter further, and fuels your own. A dono flashes up on screen that only knocks the wind out of you further.

"Do either of you think before you do any of the impulsive things you do?" George asks, though where words like that would usually be said with malice, at worst, in your friend's voice, there is only fond exasperation.

"If we thought about half the impulsive things we did, we wouldn't be here," Dream points out.

"There's no way I'd be half as happy," you added, and Dream audibly awed at that, calling you adorable.

"You guys are so lucky I'm happy to see you both happy; you're so sickeningly cute some times," Sapnap groans, and you resist the urge to go and wrap him up in a hug, and you tell him as much.

"Listen, let's win Dodgebolt, and then you can give all the hugs you want."

"Buddy, you get the one, then I'm going to bother Dream until he pays me attention -"

"You really are worse than Patches sometimes," Dream says fondly, before adding, "but we did get together while you were wearing cat ears, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised -"

"Hey!" You laugh, before conceding, "I can't believe you remember that," it's strangely touching, and now you have almost a hundred thousand people in your chat crying over the reveal and the cuteness.

In the few seconds before the game begins, a dono from Dream flashes up on screen. He tells you he loves you, for the whole world to see.

"Love you too, green boy," you murmur with sincerity, even when you know both George and Sapnap will playfully protest.

Because you know it'll make Dream smile.

Edwards exploit?

Man, what is there to say about this one that hasn’t already been said?

I mean, one day some jamoke is gonna make a video saying that they don’t actually like this episode and that it’s lame, and a big user is going to foolishly give it exposure via bitching about it on Twitter, and the fandom will go up in flames (like, more so than the usual blowup). But me? Nah, even I’m not that contrarian.

Besides, I love it. It makes me happy, though perhaps for odd little bits that aren’t meant in any way to be the focus of the episode. Stuff like

Duck and BoCo’s angry faces

the shot of Edward with Bill and Ben

the shot right before the storm breaks out where Edward goes under the bridge—the curvature of the track there is absurd, but screw realism, it makes the train look so sinuous and pleasing

the sheer blackness of the night in the final scene or two with the brilliant white lights

Also the shot of the train on its way again during the “and he listened happily to Edward’s steady beat, as he forged slowly but surely ahead” line, it’s just such a thoroughly pleasing little bit—I keep meaning to make a good gif of it some day because visually those two seconds are definitely among some of the most comforting in film history. Why must Edward be so friend-shaped. I’m asking really.

Yes, everyone who’s been in the fandom for six months probably already knows the “inaccuracies” in the adaptation, but I’m not too hung up on them. Like it’s very cool that we have so many Trainz adaptations and Exploit!models where people literally destroy their overpriced 2Ps for the accuracy?? and I’m grateful and I’m satisfied with this fan content supplementing the episode. Besides, when I was a kid we only had select episodes from S1-3 on VHS, and man, stuff like Thomas’s bent front and Edward’s siderods taken off—that was honestly pretty metal for us. The Flying Kipper crash was obviously more serious, but as far as, like, “special effects” went? It was these two episodes that brought the macabre fascination, due to the visible damage. I can remember parents commenting on those two details too, in fact I think they brought it to our attention. Like wtf, they broke the toys! Wild! (Then we got into some Season 4 stuff and were spoiled for these more innocent days, lol. Peter Sam’s and Thomas’s head-on collisions took the damage portrayed on screen to a whole new level.)

Also, as I’ve mentioned before, while there are several sentences in the original text that I wish the adaptation retained (Edward being so thrilled when he gets the train moving that his wheels start to slip all over again, omg—my boy!), there are also a couple of cuts I agree with actually. I prefer the happy quietude of some of the moments in the end of the adaptation to the “cheers to the echo” of RWS.

Bertie’s little bit at the beginning is pleasant enough but also unnecessary, especially when you consider that this obligatory-cameo-to-meet-a-quota-of-Bertie-appearances-this-season replaces this immortal RWS opener:

Edward scolded the twins severely, but told Gordon it served him right. Gordon was furious.

Like, I am in no way excusing Gordon, but I do think this exchange is interesting context for the following scene. As in I don’t think Gordon really believes what he’s saying; when he’s piqued he sees everything in the most negative light; when he’s in a good mood all the sudden it’s “my dear Edward” and all that. Gordon said it himself to Sir Handel—he has a lot of feeeeeeeelings. Nobody understands that. ;)

Another small detail in this notorious scene that I think gets overlooked is Duck saying “You’re all jealous!” For one thing, I think he means they’re jealous that Edward got this job; the comment implies one of those standard tiresome arguments in the preceding week about who would get the enthusiasts’ train and then who should get the enthusiasts’ train. And I dunno, the thought amuses me. Perhaps because a few hours later in the storm Edward is audibly thinking that the whole gig was entirely overrated. (I feel like next time this sort of thing came up Edward would’ve been all like, “BoCo, do you want it? We don’t want a repeat of last time.” And BoCo’s all *affectionate eyeroll* “No one goes to the island of Sodor for a diesel-hauled railtour, Edward.”)

Now, for all I’ve overanalyzed the effect of the opening “station scene” and how the changes affect how people read the character dynamics, I must still give the TV adaptation major props—their changes make this scene far more interesting and just generally watchable. I mean, though I do enjoy the realistic sidings of the RWS illustration, the TVS blocking of the "action" here is iconic:

Plus omg, the drama of it all, everyone talking about Edward while he’s just struggling to get that train started is a fascinating hook. (Certainly the writers of the show never got over this dynamic!) And, I have to admit, although it changes the characterizations a little, it’s not any huge stretch to have Gordon, Henry, and James be that shameless. It doesn’t distort the reality of RWS canon the way that Season 5 and beyond… *waves hand helplessly in the general direction of the mess*

However, and I wondered this even as a kid before I’d read any RWS, but in that scene why doesn’t Duck give the train a push to start? He’s Thomas and Percy’s successor at this point, so isn’t it part of his job? Always bugged me a bit, but then again these days I am amused to rationalize this and to imagine that Duck considers preventing the big three from bullying others to be among his duties, and in fact sometimes he gets so into it that he forgets some of the more bread-and-butter things. Yes, his old mates on the Great Western might be appalled at his new priorities, but then they didn’t have Gordon Henry and James to deal with, now did they??

Right, so like half of this post is now about the station scene... but honestly that’s fair. It’s worth saying again: The adaptation did a really good job with that. They take some pretty below-average obligatory set-the-stage RWS dialogue and somehow turn it into quite a memorable little scene. *tips hat respectfully*

the hate jules gets is honestly so ridiculous i’m so serious when i say some euphoria stans (especially the ones on tiktok and twitter) need euphoria taken away from them and i cannot wait until this season is done especially after last episode.

the fact that anyone watched that scene of rue speaking to her and PRAISED rue for it is absolutely insane especially bc i promise you that is not what sam levinson wanted you to come out of it thinking that rue was correct. i promise you he does not want you to think for example rue was correct in going off on jules about leaving in s1. jules is NOT RESPONSIBILE for rue’s sobriety and being depended on by her when she shouldn’t have been and rue relapsing is not her fault. she needed to do what was right for her and she literally explained it all in her special episode.

idk how does anyone watched that entire scene in general and wasn’t just incredibly upset and uncomfortable the entire time you were at some point rooting for rue is that scene ? praising her? wtf is wrong with ppl 😭😭

and ppl saying “jules has the audacity to say she loves her after cheating” “she showed up in elliot’s clothes” “she thinks she can snitch on rue after what she did” like you cannot be serious

her cheating does not mean she wants rue to DIE and it doesn’t mean she doesn’t love her either and WHO GAF ABOUT CLOTHES SHE WAS WEARING it was not the time to care about that. like you can’t be serious ????

and ppl shitting on her for telling her mom. what else was she supposed to do? talking to rue about it first would have been a disaster. she did the right thing she’s a literal teenage girl like what else is she suppose to do? let rue overdose? not say anything? what so the same ppl shitting on her for saying something can shit on her for not saying something and blames her for rue overdosing ? bc we all know they would. jules cant win with this fandom. she didn’t want rue to DIE no one cares about cheating or clothing or whether her saying she loves her is truthful or not.

ppl have now been using jules cheating as an excuse to bash her and comment on every (correct) defense of her with “yea she still cheated though” like i promsie you cheating is not the worst thing someone did on this show and most of y’all’s favs on this show have done just the same amount of bullshit and bad things.

like ppl have BEEN WAITNG for a reason to jump on her and now that it’s finally here they’ll milk it forever. the fact jules haters are always like "we're not transphobic we just hate her/she's annoying" since s1 when they had no reason to hate her as much as they did and now that she cheated so many of them are like “i can finally hate her now publicly” like they’re all so transparent and so many ppl can keep claiming every week they aren’t transphobic and ppl are making a problem where it isn’t but your reactions to her vs every other character that has done just as much bullshit (and more actually) is very telling. especially when so many of them are like “i always hated jules for some reason” or “she’s always annoyed me” like oh i think i can tell you the reason you felt that way but you won’t like hearing it.

the sudden cal sympathizers and stans after his episode? like oh you can understand him but you can’t understand the reasons jules does what does like oh okay! and oh you hate jules but like cal now and think he’s funny bc of that stupid terribly written speech to his family in episode 4? you cant be serious.

it’s just ridiculous and she’s held to such high standards compared to every other character and this one fuck up is going to follow her forever on the show. and ppl are LYING when they say other characters get just as much criticism as her like no they do not especially when jules gets the most unwarranted hate out of every character since s1.

it’s not even just jules either it’s other characters in this show ppl have terrible takes on like rue and rue when it comes to her addiction and addiction in general like a lot of you need to be banned from watching this show.

Fourteen things I noted about CR2E88 “Unwanted Reunions” and the Talks Machina about it :

Laura is at the Video Game Awards for the beginning of the episode, but makes her grand entrance 40 minutes in, dressed up and looking BEAUTIFUL. I thought Travis' heart eyes at his wife were the greatest thing. Turns out, she just left the award show without waiting to see if she won her category, because she saw on Twitter than Sam was using her dice ! And she wanted to play D&D with her friends. ICONS ONLY. STAND-UP OVATION FOR MRS. LAURA BAILEY. Sam, 100% serious : "I think we all admire your priorities."

Jester, very cheerfully, about Trent : "We could just kill him, chop him up into little tiny pieces, and then we escape to Xhorhas and we never come back !!" Seems like a good plan, honestly. If anyone deserves that, it's Trent. Also love that Caleb flash-backed to the time where Jester just put an axe through a dude's head.

The Mighty Demands : 1) to not be forced to go anywhere on the spot 2) they will not go back to Xhorhas supervised 3) they will not go until they see the beacon the Assembly claims to have 4) they want to know what the Empire and the Cerberus Assembly actually want, because if they doin't want something, what does that mean ? what's the logic ?... this line is not a hard line actually it's a paragraph by Caduceus 5) a 1000 platinum 6) the Empire should cover their incidentals at the hotel, come on ! 7) chocolate 8) armements, not almond mints 9) the Empire should not be alone in charge of the fane under the Cathedral of Pelor 10) pastries !

Oooooh, how I like how Caleb is lying to the Martinet about the Mighty Nein's journey into Xhorhas ! The best lies have some truth in them, and that is absolutely what he's doing, he's just twisting some details.

The Mighty Nein finally have a good idea for the neutral territory in which to hold peace talks, and that is : in the middle of the ocean, on their boat ! The Martinus Ludin'eth Deleth : "What's it called ?" The Mighty Nein, immediately realizing their mistake : "... It's called The Balleater."

WOOPS Nott tried to let the Beacon take her mind and grant her a re-roll, and Trent immediately guessed the Mighty Nein were familiar of how the beacon works. WOOPS. If he's intelligent (and he is many things but stupid is not one of them) I think he can now know what happened to the beacon lost in Zadash.

Love that the Mighty Nein are deflecting this line of questioning by being assholes about the tripod. Very MN behavior.

Obsessed, Obsessed I say ! with the way Jester is 1) aware of her cheerfull behavior and kindness 2) aware that she's not on the same level as "normal people" regarding said kindness and behavior 3) will USE KINDNESS AS A WEAPON or at least a means to an end. She really managed to distract the Martinet and Trent. i JUST !! love her so much. It takes courage, it takes spirit, it takes kindness and care to do that.

I love Caduceus, and I respect his "the truth will set you free" approach, and it has indeed worked very well with the Mighty Nein, because they were so used to being shifty motherfuckers, but ! In this instance, with the Assembly, inside of the political nest of vipes that is Rexxentrum, I trully think that proposing to tell the truth is a bad idea. to begin with and put yall in context, a little about 1D: one direction is a british-irish boyband formed on july 23, 2010 at the studios of the x factor UK. after louis tomlinson, liam payne, zayn malik, niall horan and harry styles didnt qualify as soloists, simon cowell with the other judges decided to put the 5 of them in a band. throughout the season, 1D won the love of the public at such a great level that by more than they didnt win, simon made them sign with his label SYCO and Modest! Management, the image company with which he had an agreement. the band released 4 albums between 2011-2014. on march 25, 2015 zayn malik leaves 1D, that same year the other 4 members released one last album and announce their hiatus. as of 2016 all the members were already in their careers as soloists.

the term arose on tumblr and the first time it was mentioned on twitter was on this tweet of harry (this happened around the week 7 of the x factor)

from the first moment, the fans realized that louis and harry’s relationship was special since the love that they demonstrated at each other was immense and pure.

at first everything started as a ship, the fans loved to see them together but not many thought they really were together. soon, the fans realized that it wasnt a simple ship, but there really was a serious relationship behind.

as the years passed, the evidence that based this “theory” increased to a point where the topic became globally known in both fandom and general public.

to this day, several years after the separation of the band, the evidence that the members are still together (and they always were) are undeniable for the majority, but of course for several remains a crazy theory of fans.

why did the fans begin to think that they were together?

body language, from looks to caresses and smiles; the gestures of love like each phrase, moment and gift dedicated, and the fury and despair of management for separating them was the main thing that awoke the idea that there was something more than just a beautiful friendship.

the fans realized the special treatment that they had between them so they began to wonder, why not make this beautiful relationship public?

to which people began to respond in two ways:

—because they arent together, they are clearly straight, dont you see? stop hallucinating

—because in the music industry throughout history and until today its very common to force thousands of artists (such as elton john, george michael, ricky martin, sam smith, etc) to stay in the closet to “have a better public image”

in the music industry, the majority (not to say all) of the times the teams of the artists and the leaders of the big companies dont see artists as people with feelings that want to be free and happy, they see them as products to which one image is assigned to sell more, they are just a business for them.

the closet in the industry is very common, many artists admitted that for years their teams forced them to have false girlfriends/boyfriends and to deny all the rumors related to their sexualities, so its not something invented, its something real that happens, its not a “theory” its the harsh reality.

for more than society advanced a lot in the last time, homophobia (as well as racism, machismo, xenophobia, etc.) didnt stop existing and denying it would be illogical. no one denies that the industry is less homophobic than 50 years ago but the fact that is less homophobic doesnt mean that stopped being it completely.

it doesnt matter if they believe that louis and harry are in a relationship or not, syaing that the closet doesnt exist is to invalidate all the artists who suffered for years because of this, let’s not deny realities.

okay, closeting exists and aparently they were in love but, they didnt have girlfriends?

as you literally just read, the industry forces artists to have false relations to cover sexuality rumors, these people who work from “fake girlfriends/boyfriends” at the expense of suffering of others are called beards. for example, elton john was forced to marry his beard.

in addition to the beards, there are the PR stunts that are “relationships” between two famous people with an advertising purpose, such as zac efron and vanessa judgens while filming the saga high school musical. they can serve to cover the sexuality of an artist but their main function is to generate advertising about something.

its estimated that all people who are managed by an advertising agency at some point in their careers had or are going to have a PR Stunt, so its extremely common.

well, i understood the closeting and the beards but there is more evidence?

the evidence that larry are together and always were are countless because they are a lot.

body language, mirroring, songs, rbb & sbb, babygate, the sarcasm and the “mmm” at the time of denying larry, complementary tattoos, how badly executed the stunts are, comments from family, friends and people close to them, the thousands of “coincidences” as two 1D trophies at louis’ house after the band went on hiatus, disappear from the public eye and appear in the same place at the same time, among many more things.

lxs fans al ver que claramente había un trato especial entre ellos empezaron a preguntarse ¿por qué no hacer esta hermosa relación pública?

a lo que la gente comenzó a responder de dos formas:

—porque no están juntos, son claramente heterosexuales no ves? dejen de alucinar.

—porque en la industria musical a lo largo de la historia y hasta el día de hoy es muy común obligar a miles de artistas (como elton john, george michael, ricky martin, sam smith, etc) a mantenerse en el closet para “tener una mejor imagen”.

en la industria de la música, la mayoría (por no decir todas) de las veces los equipos de los artistas y los lideres de las grandes empresas no ven a los artistas como personas con sentimientos que quieren ser libres y felices, los ven como productos a los cual se les asigna una imagen para vender mas, un negocio mas.

el closet en la industria es muy común, muchxs artistas admitieron que por años sus equipos los obligaban a tener novios/as falsas y a negar todos los rumores relacionados con sus sexualidades, así que no es algo inventado, es algo real que pasa, no es una “teoría con pruebas” es la cruda realidad.

por mas de que la sociedad avanzó mucho en el último tiempo, la homofobia (al igual que el racismo, el machismo, la xenofobia, etc) no dejaron de existir y negarlo sería ilógico. nadie niega que la industria es menos homofobica que hace 50 años pero que sea menos homofobica no quiere decir que dejo de serlo del todo.

no importa si creen que louis y harry están en una relación o no, decir que el closet no existe es invalidar a todxs lxs artistas que por años sufrieron a causa de esto, no neguemos realidades.

no me voy a poner a explicar el closeting en la industria en este post porque el tema es extenso pero tranquilamente pueden investigar por sus cuentas o buscar en mi blog.

como literalmente acaban de leer, la industria obliga a artistas a tener relaciones falsas para tapar rumores de sexualidad, estas personas que trabajan de “novios/as falsas” a costa del sufrimiento de otros se llaman barbas. por ejemplo, a elton john lo obligaron a casarse con su barba.

ademas de las barbas, existen los PR stunts que son “relaciones” entre dos personas famosas con un fin de publicidad, como por ejemplo zac efron y vanessa hudgens mientras se filmaba la saga high school musical. pueden servir para tapar la sexualidad de un artista pero su función principal es generar publicidad y chusmerio sobre algo.

se calcula que que todas las personas que están manejadas por una agencia de publicidad en algún momento de sus carreras tuvieron o van a tener un PR stunt, así que es extremadamente común.

bueno ya entendí el closeting y las barbas, ¿pero hay mas pruebas?

las pruebas de que larry están juntos y siempre lo estuvieron son incontables porque son muchísimas.

el lenguaje corporal, el mirroring, las canciones, rbb&sbb, el babygate, el sarcasmo y los “mmm” a la hora de negar larry, los tatuajes complementarios, lo mal hechos que están todos los stunts, los comentarios de familiares, amigos y personas cercanas a ellos, las miles de “coincidencias” como dos trofeos de 1D en la casa de louis después de que la banda se haya separado, desaparecer del ojo publico y aparecer en el mismo lugar al mismo tiempo, entre muchas cosas más.

ver todas las pruebas lleva tanto tiempo que gente que estuvo años en el fandom sigue descubriendo pruebas nuevas.

Who I want for 5th Hunter and why.

So Dream said he's most likely to pick people he's been friends with for a long time and knows really well. Basically people who already have an established dynamic with the rest of the hunters. Or people he knows well enough to know if they're lying.

My main two hunters based off of Dream's preference are Punz, Callahan and Sam. Callahan because Dream won't have to worry about the whole too many voices at once thing and Callahan is just a god. Punz would be good because he's good at the game is very similar skill wise to Dream and would make it much harder. Sam because I love Sam and I want more Sam content also Sam is very strategic. However Callahan not speaking might make it harder for the hunters, Punz won't get chosen because he's too good and Dream won't ever win making Sam the best option based on process of elimination.

Now what I personally want is a girl hunter. I presume if Dream's going to pick someone he'll probably choose an SMP member. So I have 4 options. Alyssa, Niki,Puffy and Hannah.

I need my Alyssa content because I miss her but I know the sweaty 12 year olds will post hate comments because of her voice more than they will with the other 3 women. So it's probably not Alyssa although she fits the Dream criteria of being an og friend and having a good dynamic with the other hunters. Niki has been practicing both speedrunning and now speedrunning in hardcore which instantly makes her better than Dream who speedruns is easy or normal. However Ant gets spoken over enough by loud ass George and Sapnap so Niki's soft voice won't be heard and Dream (who has no problem telling people to shut up and let Niki speak)won't be able to help as much as he's on the other team. Puffy has a good dynamic with Ant and Bad being a big part of the egg storyline as well as Pummel Party Saturday and she plays CSGO with Sapnap meaning she won't let him speak over her. I don't know how her dynamic with George is but i do think she's most like George out of all the hunters. Hannah has the same type of dynamic with Ant and Bad as Puffy. I don't know how well she'd get on with George and Sapnap. Probably would be fine but she might stay quieter because she doesn't know them well.

In conclusion I think if Dream was to pick a female hunter I think he's best choice is Puffy. Dream has the best dynamic with Cara compared to the other 3. I mean for weeks he was just in the background of Puffy's DreamSMP streams either following her around or giving her things or just fighting in chat with Sapnap giving her free content (because they were clearly in a call together and he could have just said it to Sapnap instead of typing it). I think Cara has a very good mindset of not letting shit get to her like if Sapnap is being a brat on CSGO she'll call him out but will also proceed to buy him items he wants in game. She seems very good with planning and strategising so I think she'd be a good addition when it comes to what could she add to the group. She also is very up to date with jokes made on twitter or stream. Like if a new joke is made in a feral stream she understands the reference someone made in chat about it.

Now for Male options based off of SMP members I haven't yet mentioned. I don't think it'd be Tommy, Tubbo, Ranboo or Purpled because they're minors. I don't think it'd be Jack, Eret, Connor, Vikk or Lazar because I don't think they all know eachother that well. I don't think it'd be Phil, Techno, Hbomb, because they are all very good strong players. Essentially anyone on a similar level to Sapnap or higher probably won't be the 5th Hunter. I don't think it'd be Karl or Quackity because Manhunts are his more serious videos and I think they'd be too chaotic compared to other Manhunts (minus the og 1v1 and 2v1) however if Dream was to do more chill manhunts on DreamXD or his manhunt channel then definitely will do one with Q and Karl. Ponk, Skeppy are also og members so they're possible options but I don't think either of them want to. I don't think any one else left either has a good enough dynamic with the hunters or would want too. So that's why I think a Female hunter would be the best option also Women are just better at everything including multitasking.

I want to add some other manhunt ideas for DreamXD or the manhunt channel.

Sleepy boys vs Dream Team+Bad or Ant. Or Dream Team+Bad and Ant Vs Sleepy boys + Tubbo.
