Comments: 9/10. Awesome fic. Cas comes from a very traditional kingdom, while Dean’s kingdom is more progressive and doesn’t treat omegas as property, so it’s a somewhat pleasant surprise for Cas. There’s some seriously angsty parts tho, and Cas isn’t the most mentally stable person in some parts of the fic. The arranged marriage aspect of it also leads to dubcon. However, Dean is a good person and he tries his best and has good intentions, even if it’s not necessarily the best course of action. I love the totem animals, they’re not quite like the daimons in Philip Pullman’s HIs Dark Materials, as they don’t talk and are more like very close pets, but I love them. WARNINGS: miscarriage, suicide attempt, depression.
