Lilia and Yuu should found a club of "single parents" with a difficult past. You can't out-argue me.

Lilia rubbing her sore back and drinking tea - They grow so fast, don't they? Yuu - Your boys, at least they don't try to bite off your leg in your sleep, thinking it's tuna. And they don't eat dangerous things. Lilia - HA! It's nothing compared to the frozen castle and the menacing bear at my house. Yuu - . . . touché

Yuu - Director swore again that we did not let him into our "secret club" Lilia - Requires the approval of both of us, what makes you constantly refuse him? Yuu - A sense of self-preservation. Lilia- Pft…..Fair. But did he give you shelter and food? Yuu - I might as well call Idia and Ortho the brothers who put this house in order, with great enthusiasm and sincerity. Lilia - I'm sure Ortho would be very happy to add to the family.

Lilia - Vil asked me today about application to join the club. Yuu - I don't see the reason. He has a "Papa Bear" in the person of a Rook. More than enough to handle the kids. Lilia - Epel broke a broom this week. Yuu-Oh, I heard from Jack. He's still alright, isn't he? Lilia - Epel broke a broom when he hit another student on the head. Yuu - . . . Let's leave his application under review.

Yuu - Now Azul is eager to join our club. Vil- I thought he was good with the twins? Yuu - You know that octopus bites are poisonous, right? I haven't found out all the details yet, but Floyd stayed in the infirmary after that. Lilia - I think I heard that their restaurant was closed because Jade threw a chair into the ceiling with such force that it got stuck there. Yuu - Yes, they still can't get him out. I suggested making an "art object" out of it Vil - My thoughts that one child would set a good example to another was completely wrong. Yuu and Lilia in chorus. - this is an outright lie.

Vil- My strength is gone. Why is it so difficult with him?!? Yuu and Lilia - Patience, man. Yuu. - At least yours doesn't set the dorm on fire. Lilia. - Or. It does not threaten to kill someone with lightning, and twice. Viil - . . . I'm starting to wonder how you deal with them at all. Yuu - An outright miracle. Lily - And a ban from the underworld on admission . Yuu - So you were forbidden to visit the world of the dead after that incident? Lily - To tell the truth, I was not so eager to go there, I just wanted to retire peacefully… Vil - Retire and go to another world are two different concepts, Lilia Yuu - after such a life, it's already the same thing.

your single parents au sounds like the start of a really sweet story. would you ever write another chapter or two or is it only going to be a one shot?

I don't know. Maybe. If the inspiration strikes me, I for sure will, but I don't have any current plans.

fun fact, in america when your kid joins a club, sometimes the school will unceremoniously add you to a parent's club about the club. This club will send you ten billion emails, ask for free labor, solicit money (separate from the fee to join and for equipment), and seem to never inform you of important events and meetings until it's far too late to ask off of work.

Koko meeting Sensei G, while not knowing that this is the alternative version of her ex husband, who is trying to be good dad after the whole Oni Event (Lloyd is glad that his dad is supposedly back but he has doubts and also has plans to deal with things if this turns out to be emperor Garmadon playing a trick on him)

Sensei G: oh I agree, miss Koko. My boy is simply precious but he's definitely speeding up the process of my hair going white. I actually found a photo of me and him when he was a baby.

Koko: oh can I have a look?

Sensei G: Of course, miss Koko.

Koko finds the photo of younger Sensei G and his son to be absolutely adorable but she wonders why all of their eyes are red ('Must be because of the camera flash' she thought) and why Sensei G's son looks incredibly familiar.

Sensei G: I was quite surprised that he got father's hair colour but he definitely takes after me the most. He even has my eyes

Sensei G being a proud dad. Koko who doesn't know about her ex-husband's past human form (Wu hasn't told her about it) just thinks it's cute how Sensei G loves his son so much.

Claudio: Hmph. Athanasia is still a baby, just smart.

Regis: Jubelian is all grown up and stronger now, but to me, she will always be my baby.

Good Dad Bruce™ stans: Yes, I fully acknowledge that every single one of Bruce's kids is deeply—at times suicidally—traumatized by his parenting failures in canon, but he is NOT a bad parent! Bruce LOVES his family. Sometimes COMPLICATED PARENTS make their children feel WORTHLESS and ISOLATED, and then don't do anything to fix it! It's totally NATURAL, Bruce is just a COMPLICATED parent! He's COMPLICATED! Bruce LOVES his family. COMPLICATED, I say! NOT ABUSIVE! Would an abusive parent put a hand on his child's shoulder in a vague display of warmth once every few years??? Hm??? Yeah, I DIDN'T THINK SO, YOU STUPID ABUSE VICTIMS!! Bruce LOVES his family. He does nice things—why are you ignoring all the nice things that he's done? He is just an IMPERFECT person, he has made some teeny tiny mistakes repeatedly with 5+ separately acquired children over a twenty-year period. Bruce LOVES his family. How could we expect exceptionally privileged hyperintelligent parents NOT to regularly use their position of power to make 4-6 children feel inadequate, unsafe, and alone?? First Snufmin and now bowuigi!? I'm not even a monster fucker! I'm just a bitch for interspecies relationship's! Idk why but I find something about it so adorable! Why brain why!?

Not to mention that Bowser is a dad! Another thing I'm a bitch for! Single parents that finally allow themselves out there, that fear that they may not get along with your child. But they do and in time start to become so ingrained in the family dinamic one starts wondering if they had always been a part of it all along.

And the other way around! The fear that they won't be a good parent but willing to try because they love their partner so much and don't want to see them go. And the realization that they are a good parent and are ready for the responsibility, not only because of there partner but because of the little bundle of joy they have now fallen in love with! And after a while wonder how they ever lived without there family.

Just aaaaaaaaa

And let's not forget why I love interspecies relationship's so much! It's basically for the same reason as the single parent trope! A new way of life they don't quite understand, a difference in way's of showing how much they love each other. Sometimes they stumble sometimes they don't get the hint, not for any fault of there's, they just have never experienced it before. The angst to! The heartbreak of thinking the other doesn't love them back, because something so obvious to them is so confusing to the other. The nesasary communication for all of it to work at all.

But no matter the obstacles

It still works

And they fall in love with every form there partner expresses love and maybe... Even starts doing it themselves.
