Skytober Day Four: Air!

Believe it or not, I have a very interesting reason why I chose Boom Jet for this day, and it involves my initial childhood Skylanders phase.

So this was when I was 11/12, maybe 10. Around Halloween I made up a scary(?) story with a some of my Skylanders. Keep in mind Little Daring knew next to nothing about the Skylanders games/lore. I was solely in it for the toys.

So in said story, Boom Jet accidentally(?) gets a cursed jewel stuck to his chest, and obtains a monstery form as a result. Which was just demon wings I drew with bright red and blue markers taped onto his back. The other Skylanders (along with some of my other toys, there was a whole universe going on) were scrambling to try and get the jewel off. The demon wings could also shoot blades iirc.

Why did I choose Boom Jet in particular? No clue. Did it make sense? Absolutely not. But that was me having some Halloween fun as a kid. While I was thinking of who to do for the Air prompt, this clusterfuck from seven or eight years ago just flashbanged back into my brain from the depths of my memories.

So yeah. That’s why I chose Boom Jet.👍

Random Skylanders Headcanon:

The Skylanders - ESPECIALLY AIR SKYLANDERS - and their allies helping out a Portal Master who’s afraid of heights.

I don’t know if there’s any canon Portal Master that’s scared of heights, but it’s sweet to imagine everyone helping out their Portal Master to face their fears.

Like some skylanders and/or their allies giving some validation and encouragement to conquer them, some offering to protecting you and/or accompanying you, and some even willing to even train you to help overcome your fear step by step (it’ll take a while, but it’s worth a try :D)! And there’s some willing to bring the Portal Master on adventures that involve their fear to help (they have good intentions, just doing it in a extreme way! They still do their best to help and protect the Portal Master, but also giving them more freedom to try and overcome it!)

Ya know I never get over the fact that it's been canonically stated that the Swap Force are some of the oldest skylanders asides from the Giants.

Because that just makes me imagine how BAFFLED some people will get cause like - even without the time they were gone? They were still around for a super long time and you wouldn't be able to tell with how they are - especially the members like Freeze Blade, Boom Jet, and Fire Kraken like - they give off early 20's when in reality they are in their early 2000's
