Thinking about Wolfsong. I initially had Narsus only find out about the whole Gorgan fiasco after canon events start but recently, I've been kinda reconsidering it. Here is a dump of my thought process in no particular order:

So Narsus likely got the court position pretty soon after the whole Three Kingdoms Alliance thing

Shapur is likely involved in repelling said invasion because 1) Andragoras summoned pretty much almost anyone, and 2) it's coming from the east and his lands are in the northeast, Andragoras might want to mobilize the troops to... Peshawar, perhaps? Before the invading troops can penetrate too deep into the country. Many lords were called, yes, but someone like Shapur, whose domain borders Turk, could possibly be doubly expected to respond since this concerns his region. Just food for thought.

I'm not sure about Narsus' timeline in several parts. How long before the TKA was it that Teos died and Narsus became the new lord of Daylam? Was it then that he freed his slaves? Or was it after the TKA ordeal?

He pretty much self-exiled in Pars era 317, so at MOST he would've had two years. Did he live full-time in the capital? Did he ever return to Daylam, even if just briefly? The Daylami seemed pretty familiar with him.

Now that I think about it, Narsus and his mother (I need to name the lady) were kicked out by Teos' main wife and then were accepted back when the wife passed away some time before Teos' death, so maybe he got more time in Daylam than I thought. The problem is that I forgot when he and his mother were accepted back?

Anyways, this opportunity for an encounter between the two kinda offers me the opportunity to have them meet each other early. I am still contemplating what to do with it. Especially since a couple of the enslaved folk Narsus freed could end up in Gorgan's orbit.

There's no way the Gorgan folk could know about Narsus' abolitionist ideals until Narsus pulls that stunt of freeing all his slaves (I assume it happened in Daylam rather than the capital), I mean there's a small possibility that they might know vaguely but it's more likely that they straight up won't know until Narsus does the societal equivalent of kicking down the door and blasting a horn far and wide. There's also very little possibility of Narsus knowing unless Gorgan reaches out to him first— what with their operation being so hush-hush and crucially under wraps because of the Mardi's caution— and they wouldn't reach out before knowing that Narsus is trustworthy.

But after? Could Shapur possibly reach out? Maybe he would want his children to have an ally he knows can be trusted so they won't be so alone against the world. Would it even be Shapur who reaches out? Would it be Sadiq who advises Shapur to do so? Would it make sense for them to see a potential friend and ally and not take the opportunity, especially when Shapur has already cut ties with his relatives over the Isfan debacle and the region can't exactly trust other nobles willy-nilly. I don't know.

In the scenario that he does reach out and they do end up connecting with each other, what can I do with it? Narsus probably got the court position in 315, in my timeline I put down that Shapur becomes a marzban in 316 (age 32), after some ambiguous campaign that he was called to be part of, so he would have to go to the capital again. I did not find anything significant in the novel timeline in the year 316, so I wouldn't know what the occasion is. But in the hypothetical scenario that they're acquainted with each other by this point, what interesting thing can I do with how they view the capital? Does Narsus ever get to return to Daylam during his time as a court advisor of sorts? What could he do with this?

I have something vague pinned down for after when canon starts, where the Mardi folk (esp Khazān and Arslan? not sure yet) help Daylam defend against Lusitanians and encountering Irina and her crew + Kubard and Merlaine and things rolling from there— could that aid be rooted in a friendship established before that point?

Coordinating trade and stuff between the two regions could be pretty difficult if Narsus isn't there to manage the process, though. So I'm still not sure how it all works out.

In the scenario that there is a connection between Gorgan and Daylam, could Narsus possibly go back to Daylam after his exile instead of going to live on Mt. Bashur in isolation? Because even if somebody else warns him to be careful, I don't think it's possible for Narsus to stay quiet about the corruption and injustices in the capital and eventually he'd snap and get fed up and leave when his concerns go ignored.

I'm... still not sure what would happen after he goes back to Daylam (if he does) or why I'm contemplating this whole situation in the first place BUT here I am, pondering and contemplating anyways.

Finally got some free time to check on Tumblr. You all are so sweet!

Unfortunately it still seems like I'll be gone until around mid-May. Not only does my final happen around May 8th but I'm also moving out of my current home by the end of April. (Barely got any time so I'm desperately trying to rush.)

Then I also have to finish my certification exam for a job to have over the summer as the rent in my new place is higher then the one before.

So yeah I'm guessing it'll be around mid-May when I can really begin writing as the next chapter is a heavy one.

I'm genuinely excited for it as it's the fated meeting with a certain child employer. I really want to write it well.

yesterday i got outside of the house for the first time in over a week, to hang out with a friend.

i had a nice time, and it was only a few hours of chatting and walking around in the city center, but as of today i am absolutely destroyed. i can barely keep my eyes open or speak or sit upright. probably doesn't help that i haven't been able to sleep decently for a while now, and that i'm far too exhausted to eat properly. i am so tired. please send any help. idk. i don't know what i'd do for even the tiniest amount of energy right now.

Starfish Lovers Tourist Trap AU: General story ideas

General idea of how the story of Starfish lovers would play out in sfltt:

1. Instead of being stolen, the day star explodes from overuse. The Kindred used the preexisting tech that the Mao had to power hotels, rides, and any other new tech that they brought in. (Too cheap to bother building anything new/cheaper to use preexisting tech) Didn’t consider how those could overload the system.

2. Emrich is forced into an eternal night and winter. The queendom is also forcibly shut down as an attraction and is assumed to be “closed for maintenance.”

3. In reality, Emrich was never really that popular of an attraction. The Osay reservation, which is mostly all of Emrich, is more popular. Because of its religious foundations, most visitors choose to mock and harass the locals than actually visit. Making the maintenance of Emrich cost more than what it made.

4. The higher ups pretty much agreed that Emrich would be shut down and rebranded as Anaia. Putting it firmly under Osay control.

5. At the cost of countless Emrichian lives. Which is where this AU starts; it’s been three years since the day stars “collapse” and Emrich has been sent into this long night and winter.

6. Cassiopeia and Max have been working as Sifters to smuggle goods and necessities to the people of Emrich. While Queen Angelina has been doing what she can to get Emrich’s allies to help with what little power she has left.

7. Instead of a meeting between the reefs to discuss Khum’s fate, it is to try and negotiate trade and resources for Emrich. This is found futile as the Palu “owners” El-on and Kardashi won’t allow any better aid that what is already being offered (which is very little).

8. It’s during this that the plans are revealed to rebrand Emrich as Anaia by functionally letting Emrich fall into disrepair so that the Kindred can tear it down. Letting any survivors join the Osay reservation.

9. Queen Angelina attempts to fight back, but is reminded that she has no power and has never had power in this situation. El-On tells her that her options are either die with Emrich or step down and join the Osay Reservation.

10. Max fights back and claims they could find a new day star in Sharazad, and is called a fool for it. Resulting in Cassiopeia doubling down on Max’s statement and adding the promise that it would remove her from the situation since she would join him.

11. Seeing this as a win, El-On gives them permission to use the Starwind, Lefania’s old warship, and a limited crew to go and find Sharazad and bring back a day star.

12. It’s after this that Lefania claims she will lead this mission to keep an eye on Max and Cassiopeia. (She thinks this plan is suicide, but it does mean that they wouldn’t be under Kindred control, if at least for a little while)

13. Cassiopeia and Max invite Ziggy and Nali’s families to joins them as part of their limited crew (they can’t take more as the Kindred don’t want a mass exodus).

14. Inke joins because the crew of the Lamprey had been stranded after the stars “collapse” and were ordered by El-On Mu to be the crew of the Starwind (he still wanted to keep and eye on the situation and wanted to be rid of the Lamprey; spoiler alert - after the crew of the Lamprey joins the Starwind, El-On has the Lamprey decommissioned and destroyed).

Strangely enough, ADELLY's clothes always have the perfect sleeve length, skirt length and shoulder width for me so I really love all of their outfits♥ The photographer in the background in the second photo is booro who always takes pictures for my newsletter and other releases. A Night Which Made Me Realise How Lucky I Am To Love Music ～Winter Has Begun～

I went to Billboard Live Tokyo last night! ! The other day I went to see Shin Hashimoto and Yosuke Eguchi, but this time I attended a performances from Satoshi Takebe and Noriyuki Makihara! Earlier this year, I went to a live with Takebe-san and Ayaka Hirahara. This series of lives has been really impressive...😳✨ It was the second time in my life that I saw Mackey at a live event. When Mackey sings, I feel like the whole world is being gently embraced 😭✨ And I realised once again how wonderful singing is, I'm so glad I love music! ! That's what he made me feel😭✨ The performance together with Takebe-san was absolutely wonderful, I was happy to treasure each moment*･゜ﾟ･*:.｡..｡.:*･'(*ﾟ▽ﾟ *)'･*:.｡. .｡.:*･゜ﾟ･*

I ended up holding the event together with “Yuu-chan" (temporary name for Shark-chan who kindly stepped in as Yuuka's substitute♪) It was so much fun playing the Ishin-Denshin Clay Art game with everyone! You know and understand me so well ! *laughs* I love how you all managed to come up with the correct answer even though I was making clay art that didn't make any sense. Thank you 😂 I brought home all the gyoza I ate today! Thank you again to the staff members who prepared everything! ! ＼(^o^)／And here are all the sharks that you could see on-screen! I brought all of them in a suitcase. There were so many *laughs*🤣Lots of little ones too. Most of them are gifts from fans! 😊♡ Thank you very much to everyone who tuned in today. Hamarikyu Asahi Hall ～Thank You So Much!! ︎～

Last Friday, I successfully completed my "Wakana Classics 2023 ~Winter Party~"!! ️!! ️＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ Thank you to everyone who came!! ️(These photos were taken at the FC event after the show♪ As expected, Shin-san stubbornly refused to change his pose😇 I managed to look straight at the camera almost until the very end 😎 Everyone looked great in blue)

For this concert, I wanted to include covers as well as songs from my 3rd album "Sono Saki e", there were so many songs I wanted to sing, it was really hard to decide...(￣^￣) Still, the final setlist was packed with everything I could squeeze in, it contained all the things I wanted to convey to you!

Thank You Very Much For 2023 ☆ 〜Dress, Animeal and Christmas Health Check〜

Last year's Christmas was a dream-like day since I was able to spend it together with everyone at Kioi Hall. Well, speaking of Christmas, this year I actually went for a health check in the morning of December 25th! ! ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ When I called last month to make an appointment, they were pretty much fully booked, the 25th was the only available date before the end of the year... (´ω｀) Oh no! So of course I made an appointment for that day. My first health checkup in 2 years😇I was very curious about my body's condition. As for the results...(the doctor explained them to me in simple terms right after the checkup) I mostly had great results on about 90% of the entire check but there was just one thing, eh? Very frustrating😇Why... ? Anyway. The barium test was pretty rough😭 After swallowing the barium, the X-ray machine was moving around and I was desperately holding onto the pair of handles. It was wild 😭 I thought I was doing a great job following the instructions but halfway through, the nurse suddenly said, ``the areas don't really show up well in the X-ray...can you please take another dose so we can do the whole thing again?'' So that's how I ended up having to drink one more cup of barium🤣🤣 Of course I was like “What?!?! Really??!!” I told the doctor about my motion sickness, that I couldn't ride roller coasters, and sometimes I'd even get a little squeamish on trains so doing the whole test again would be difficult for me...😭 The doctor was incredibly apologetic and a little worried but ultimately we did it again...💦"😅Guess it couldn't be helped😅 And just like that, I was able to finish the test before the end of the year. Despite everything, I left the hospital feeling refreshed... Next, I want to go for a regular checkup with an ENT doctor! ! After my appointment, I actually had a voice training session!!! *laughs* What a busy Christmas! ! 😂😂🎄✨

The final mission of the day was a "Christmas party with my family" so I worked hard towards that goal😇 I safely arrived at my brother's home at the finish line! All my fatigue was blown away by the gorgeous home-cooked meals my sister-in-law had prepared for us...✨･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+✨(Her food is always really amazing!) My niece greeted me wearing a Harry Potter Ravenclaw uniform that she received from Santa! It was a proper cosplay with a cloak, tie, vest, skirt, cane, and hat 😳 It was so cute 😍 And look at that beautiful appetizer! What is this...? The prettiest appetizer I've ever seen in my life...? The basil was perfectly grilled... How did she do it...? Both the appetizer jelly as well as the chicken were very delicious...😭✨I was able to spend a fun Christmas with my brother's family and my mother ♡

I don't think it was a good idea to eat such a magnificent dinner after a health check! 🤣 But it's a reward for one year, so I should be forgiven, right?! 😂

Now, I think by now you should all have received the latest FC newsletter, Botanical Tsushin Vol.14 ＼(^o^)／ I would like to use the opportunity to post all the photos that did not make it into the section [Join Wakana on an Animal expedition! ~Animeal Odaiba Store Edition~] ＼(^o^)／All right, let's go! I was excited even before entering! After carefully listening to the instructions, I went into the store! Inside, you can relax and interact with the animals while drinking some tea or coffee. 🐈‍⬛The cat is looking straight at the camera. Meow... You can buy snacks prepared in the store, they are very popular among the animals...They are all looking at me with greedy eyes😍 🐶 "Snack! Snack!" The cute little poodle on the right sits like a human😂 🐶 I fell in love with the white cat, Muta-kun, he was such a tsundere🐱…😍💕 🐱 He looked so regal. I was happy to be his servant 😂

There were also ducks and parakeets in a separate room (the ducks are usually taking a walk around the area.) Then there are capybaras and brown tortoises on the outdoor terrace! (I gave them some snacks while looking at the lovely view of Odaiba) Mr. Capybara is relaxing in the twilight while looking at the scenery of Odaiba.The others are taking a nice hot bath♪ The turtle was patrolling back and forth all the time😊 🐢"Busy, busy" I totally forget the time with all these amazing animals, sadly there was a time limit, I definitely wanted to extend it! *laughs* It was the best place! ! (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) There is a day and evening shift system, so in the evening there are different animals out and about than the ones during the day 😳💓 I want to go again~♡ Everyone, please come and visit♪ <Animeal Odaiba> https://animeal.jp/

Now, finally, I still haven't posted proper pictures of my dress from the concert on December 15th, so let me share them with you here♪ These photos were taken for official purposes during the interview before the performance♪ It was a wonderful dress with a sparkling front! This is what the back looked like ♪ (My manager arranged it for me!! It looked amazing 😭 Thank you very much!! 😭) In the last photo you see me backstage talking on the phone with the sound engineer who is located far away. It was kind of interesting.
