sam and darlin are going in the solaire clan one

david likes to think he's above such "immaturity" in his relationship with angel to get jealous. but he's not. it doesn't happen often, but when he notices the way people look at his mate, he gets so pissed. he knows that angel smiles at and is kind to almost everyone, and they love that trait in them but he honestly would like it a little more if they didn't ever smile at anyone that isn't him. like ever. they laugh at him for being so dramatic but he's like 60% serious. but other than mild irritation when angel waves excitedly at literally everyone, david hates it when they jokingly flirt with their friends/packmates. at least once a day he sees them giggling with baaabe or sweetheart either in person or on the phone and he has to fight the urge to pull them (gently) into his side and keep them there. a fight he loses more often than not if they're within arms reach. he's been known to toss their phone away from them while they whine, keeping his arms wrapped around them (and recently, absentmindedly toying with the ring on their finger). angel has taken to rubbing his arm while softly reassuring them that they're only joking and that he's the only one they love as he pouts hums into their neck.

angel gets jealous a little more often than david does. obviously, david gets a million stares whenever he steps outside. he's tall, sexy, handsome, big, all of the above, and angel knows that. those are the exact reasons why they stare. but that's them, they're david's mate. and the fact outside people think they have the right to look at what's theirs drives them insane. it's not david's fault, they don't blame or not trust him to be loyal. they just hate other people looking at him like he's a piece of meat. on a shopping spree at the mall david and angel went on, david had at least three people try and give him their number as if angel wasn't standing right there and that's not counting the hundreds of second glances he got. to which david would only flash his ring at them with a completely straight face and pull angel away. however, they had enough by the third person "accidentally" bumping into him and started making out with him in the middle of the store they were in. david didn't have many complaints, he had already seen how irritated they were getting and just suggested they leave afterwards. angel spent the entire car ride home complaining angrily about every single time someone so much as looked at him for more than two seconds. david gave them their hand to hold, barely wincing when they squeezed it as tight as they possibly could. he honestly thinks it's sexy whenever angel rants about him being flirted with, he can't help but smirk when he asks what he should do about it. he offers to tattoo their name on his forehead, let them bite him everywhere that's visible hard enough to leave a bruise, punch anyone who dares to even breathe near him etc. and in the moment, angel would prefer watching david spit in peoples' faces but they know he can't do that. so they resort to the bites option. everywhere.

asher gets jealous once in a blue moon. most of the time when baaabe talks about other people being interested in them he's just using it as an opportunity to flex that he's the one actually in bed with his mate. he says things like "and i'm the one you come home to at the end of the day" with the widest smile on his face. asher always talks about being so lucky to bag someone like baaabe instead of focusing on being overly protective over what's his. still, there have been more than a few times where asher can't hide the annoyance he feels when it comes to baaabe spending time with other people as opposed to him. baaabe spends a little too much time talking about the work parties they go and people they talk to without him and he starts pouting. only slightly, but baaabe notices and they laugh a little. they run their fingers through his hair when he starts dramatically sulking about people trying to "take them away from him", letting him get it out of his system before they reassure him firmly but kindly that no one could ever replace him. and asher usually recovers by that moves on. despite not being jealous often, asher still gets possessive with holding onto baaabe in public and obviously staking his claim on them subtly. it doesn't happen often, but if there was ever a moment where someone tried to "take" his mate from him, they would find themself of the wrong end of a wolf's teeth.

baaabe shows jealously just as much as asher does, not a lot but not never. asher is very friendly and he talks to everyone about anything. some people appreciate this on a surface level, but others sometimes try to take it in a way that was never intended. asher has had people blatantly flirt with him due to this but he just pretends to not notice until baaabe comes to save him. most of the time baaabe isn't bothered enough to feel negatively about it, choosing to be amused by it. but there are times where they feel uncharacteristic anger when they see someone making an obvious move on their mate or he talks about someone a little too much/kindly. to which they go to play save a hoe a little faster, pulling asher away a little harder or subconsciously frowning. asher takes baaabe's jealously very seriously, knowing that they spiral easily when they feel like this. he showers them in affection for a while until he's sure they're fine. baaabe recovers fairly quickly as long as they get to snuggle up to ash for a little bit.

milo has definetly threatened to kill someone for sweetheart. he's very possessive but in a "never touch my mate" way instead of being mad at sweetheart themself for being around others. sweetheart didn't think he was overly possessive when at first but once within the first year of their relationship, they mentioned a coworker flirting with them and milo went deathly silent before he growled. sweetheart laughed at him because they were caught off guard but milo was genuinely ready to fight someone. milo has a love hate relationship with people appreciating sweetheart. he knows damn well his mate is attractive and he believes that people can appreciate that, but he hates it when anyone at all flirts with them in any capacity. he feels his eyes twitch when even packmates make small comments about them jokingly flirty. he'll laugh and tell whoever to back off under the guise of a joke but sweetheart can tell he's genuinely irritated. when he gets the chance he'll pull them as close to him as possible and rub his hands wherever on sweetheart's body they were touched by anyone else. they let him because they think it's both funny and cute as well as enjoying the feeling of being "claimed". but sweetheart "brat" greer never passes up an opportunity to tease him about it which only leads to milo taking his jealously out on them in the bedroom.

sweetheart doesn't get as jealous as milo does as often. milo is a pretty social guy and is a natural charmer so they understand why people would be interested in him. and they love showing off the fact that he only ever has eyes for them. then again, on the worse days, they can't help but feel jealous when milo doesn't pay as much attention to them. sweetheart is a very expressive person facially, so their expression shows their annoyance before they can even verbalize it. still, they'll pretend they haven't even noticed milo talking to someone else, brushing him off in their typical petty manner. milo notices them sulking in a corner for presumably no reason, but because he can read them like a book, he figures it out soon enough. he pokes a little fun at them to which they only sulk harder, turning away from him and telling him to go back to whoever is so much more important than them. milo finds them adorable when they're (minorly) upset with him so he wraps his arms around their shoulders, working the tension out so they can relax while he whispers apologies in their ear for ever making them jealous. that they'll always be his top priority, that they can always prove who he belongs to in front of everyone. sweetheart lets him do whatever and pretends they don't love hearing those words come out of his mouth while they're already planning every single hickey they're gonna put on his body.

I’m sorry but I can’t get the idea of Tank having a stutter out of my head. I think during the fight with Quinn when he attacked their friend, Quinn hit Tank too hard in the head. David and Asher bolt in, just before Quinn sends another blow. Seeing he’s now slightly outmatched, Quinn flees (like the coward he is), leaving a very disoriented Tank on the ground. They can barely talk, barely know what’s going—clearly suffering from head trauma. They start stuttering and it doesn’t go away.

Tank, who used to be such a spitfire, so quick to retaliate with cunning insults and creative threats, so used to speaking their mind and trying to get the last word in, is now struggling to sound out even one sentence. It demolishes them. After Quinn has taken so much, he’s now taken this too. Tank feels permanently marked, in more ways than one. David and Asher and Milo, with all the best intentions, just don’t know how to help them. They urge Tank to seek speech therapy (or any therapy, really). They cut into Tank’s sentences, trying to help finish their thoughts but unintentionally speaking for them. It’s a big reason why they leave for so long. The shame and the embarrassment is too much, not to mention the looks of pity from everyone in the pack that Tank can’t even tell them to wipe off their faces. When they’re away, they barely talk at all. Mostly head shakes and nods and single stuttered words. They go months and months without speaking. I think that’s why they start resorting to more violence. Nobody can misinterpret or speak over a punch to the gut.

When they finally return home, the first person they speak to is Sam. Their first interaction, though tense, feels different. Sam doesn’t finish Tank’s sentences for them. Doesn’t interrupt. Doesn’t give sympathetic looks or roll his eyes. He’s only concerned about the security threat in front of him, and he’ll wait all damn night to figure out why they’re there and how to get them off Solaire land. He’s…patient. But not condescendingly or self-righteously so.

As Tank finds themself spending more and more time with Sam, they begin talking. It’s not much, but it’s more than before. And Sam is quiet and patient every time. He never tries to persuade Darlin’ to go to speech therapy. He does gently push them to speak more—but not to get rid of or “fix” their stutter. He just wants to hear them, wants them to feel confident to say what’s on their mind. Although their stutter does subside a bit as they begin talking again, it never fully leaves. Darlin’ grows to accept it. It becomes a part of them. It’s just a scar in a different form, and that’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Angel: Washes, folds, and puts away their shared laundry, knowing it takes some of the mental load off of David.

Baaabe: Occasionally shows up at Shaw Security when Asher’s on paperwork duty to bother him. (David doesn’t mind as long as Ash’s paperwork gets done.)

Sweetheart: Loves to act as Milo’s personal paparazzi when they’re going out on the town. Takes tons of photos of him and showers him in praise.

Darlin: Goes on night runs with Sam in their wolf form and shows him new views they find during the day.

Freelancer: Sets up dates in which Gavin gets to try new things like pottery making or a pasta making class.

Dear: Helps Lasko grade papers so they can spend time together doing nothing.

Starlight: Prints out the pictures Avior sends them and puts them together in a photo album.

Treasure: Takes Porter to their favorite hidden grotto and stargaze together. Will occasionally make a flower crown for him. He’s not the Solaire blade with them. Just Porter.

Warden: Preens and grooms Vega’s tail. He flicks it in pretend annoyance, but he actually enjoys it.

Honey: Presses kisses to Guy’s body (hand, shoulder, neck, etc) when they think he’s asleep ((he’s not, but he has to use all of his willpower to stay quiet and calm when Honey gives him so much love))

Baby: Hides Ollie’s favorite chocolates and candies all over the apartment so he has a little delight when he doesn’t expect it.

Flyboy!Baby: Video calls every night when he’s in Dahlia for on-site work. Cooks him dinner every night when he’s home.

Lovely: Finds obscure things from Vincent’s childhood to decorate the new apartment they share. (Records, comic books, pressed and framed local flowers)

Freelancer (platonic): Lays in bed with Caelum and tells him about their experiences with the DAMN crew. Caelum loves knowing that his charge is thriving where they once struggled.

Bestie: Occasionally gives him kisses and reassurance throughout the day. Blake went through so much just for them and he should be rewarded for that.

Cutie: Has a note on their phone full of Geordi’s likes and dislikes. Reminders for themselves. They refuse to use their power on him and instead resort to memorizing what they can and writing down what they can’t.

Love: Grows the herbs that Anton can’t find in the States for his cooking. He claims they taste better when Love grows them for him.

Smartass: Massages and soothes Aaron when he gets home.

Sunshine: Teaches Elliot how to play various card games. Gives him tips on how to get the upper hand on Aaron.

The more I study Radahn’s actions…. The more I realize that the man does not know what it is to not give mercy.

I’m sure I may have built this idea atop a theory of headcannons - but there is some truth. Using gravity magic Radahn could easily send his opponents rocketing off into space or make them crush themselves… But he fights fairly. Even still, holding himself back. Even with Malenia, he holds himself back,. and she has to resort to her final option to even stand half a chance - And Radahn still persists. Fighting off the rot for who knows how long.

He likely knew what Miquella had been planning - he’s as far across the map as he can get from the Haligtree…. and yet he let the both of them live. He did not atomize an imminent threat. He let them persist, and stays in his Redmane castle, choosing to instead freeze his fate in the stars. He stays in Caelid, happy with what he has. He handles the stars similarly - Instead of outright crushing them with his control of the stars… he leaves them.

Radahn is no conquerer. He is no emperor. He is the Starscourge, someone fighting to save the world that has already burnt itself to the ground. To stop the invasion of the stars against a land where there is no sun, only a false light of hope.

General Radahn was known for his kindness

and for what did he give his kindness?

I might write more later - but I refuse to believe this 35 foot tall horsegirl chose to willingly go with Miquella. A fight without will is no fight at all. Radahn wants a fight, and Miquella will not give him a fight, it’s all an illusion. It cannot even be argued that a fight with The Tarnished is eternal; We are destined to win. And Perhaps, Radahn knew his fate was to be brought down by our blade.

I do know this a very good guy/bad guy way to look at elden ring - and their characters typically have good and bad traits… But Radahn feels like a massive Solaire to me. Someone who wants to help, but lost his way.

I listened to it in art class today and accidentally started drawing his crown icon in the corner.

Anyways

His accent (even when redone by Erik) still itches my brain.

But, the fact he split up the explanations was pretty smart. He recognizes that Sam and Vincent are different. Sam is more comfortable with himself, holding less doubt about the person that he is than Vincent is. Vincent has had so much character development. So has Sam of course, but not from the same 180 personality shift Vincent has.

Vincent used to be our flirty-shoes-on-bed vampire. Now he's a dork who has a thing for crowns (COUGH COUGH). So William realized that Vincent would have more questions than Sam did and wanted to have a space for Vincent to ask all those questions. As for whether or not I think Vincent will leave...

No. I don't think he will. I do think he'll try to push more diplomatic solutions to the issues that rise up. Maybe, since Porter has been labeled as the hitman for the clan, Vincent will take charge over diplomacy. He certainly knows how to handle people if given some time to prepare. I could see Vincent and Lovely being the first resort, and if that doesn't work, Porter (and prolly Alexis) get involved. We know imperium Alexis isn't above bloodshed, so some of that has to transfer over to Canon. This way, Vincent can live knowing that they tried peaceful resolutions first. And, like a lot of other people are saying, he's too closely tied. Lovely and Vincent's whole sense of community lives within the clan. The Shaw pack are friends, but the clan is their family. If they stopped being Solaires, they would kind of be loners. No matter what William says about always being welcome.

But Sam.

Sam is absolutely leaving. He asked the questions he needed, and got the answers that came with them. He's already closer with the pack, having game nights and vacations and celebrations with them. David has told him he's family (I'm pretty sure). He even has some inside jokes now. Something I'm not sure he has with his clan. He'll definitely stay friends with Vincent, and always be grateful to William for distancing Alexis from him.

But being part of the clan seems to be painful for him. He doesn't enjoy any of the clan gatherings (Vincent takes some enjoyment from them, since he was looking forward to spending the summit with Lovely. Sam was not excited to go, even with Darlin and some of the Shaw pack coming) and is only close to Vincent and William. Plus his "That's all I need to know" totally sounded like a "Farewell then". He knew there was an option to leave, and with another sense of community waiting for him, he's going to take it.

Plus, he never took the Solaire name. I'm sure William offered it, but he didn't take it. Vincent did.

I am curious about how David is going to react to this. William invited his pack to a gathering where he had a double assassination carried out. And there's some tension between the older vampires and werewolves, so no matter how small of a chance there was, David's pack could have been blamed simply because of outdated prejudice.

Even if that didn't happen, it's not like David wants Angel anywhere near something dangerous. Like a potential vampire fight breaking out. We know how seriously David takes protecting his pack. I wanna see the conversation David has with William for putting his pack in a position to be involved indirectly with what happened.

IN FACT, I (through Angel) even referenced Sam having the title of Duke and his being wildly embarrassed at that fact. Here's the proof, which is a passage I pulled straight from Chapter 1:

Earl?” “More like court jester,” Sam supplied. “William’s not one to care much about titles or bloodlines, thankfully. That kinda stuff can just get to be so silly and antiquated. But he is one to make sure that he could never be accused of nepotism or favoritism among his clan. That’s why I agreed to forgo any raffle ticketing, as did all of us who do work for the RMA during the year. Don’t get me wrong, though. If I could buy tickets, I certainly would. William let Vincent pick out the prizes this year. "Max's Rustic Pizza, the Trance Bureau, Gary's Shifter Grooming Salon, that paintball place in Greenway we've always said we want to try," they listed. "The Psychokinetic Cleaning Company, the Steakhouse, and more!"

[SIX] 2024 at The Theatre at Solaire

Without me knowing, my wife bought tickets for this one. When she showed it to me first what the play was going to be like and what it was about, I was hesistant to watch it as I'm not really a fan of these kinds of plays(?) (more of a concert really), but surprisingly, I really enjoyed myself.

There were no set changes, little to no putfit changes as well, but there was one outfit change that made my eyes go wide, if you know you know. Their costumes were futuristic(?), if I were to describe it.

There were the Six members of the main cast, the six wives of Henry VIII, and four female band members at the back, whose costumes reminded me of Zoltan, from "Dude where's My Car".

To be honest, the show was brief, clocking in at around 80 minutes with no intermissions, but that was full of jam-packed catchy music. There were no dragging parts and I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. It was a modernized storytelling of the lives and fates of the six wives of Henry VIII.

The show runs from October 4 - 20 at The Theater at Solaire Resort and Casino, Parañaque.
