Same! I feel like his hair is the fine, thin type with a light wave, so it would tangle super easily. Yet, when looking at Mithrun’s tall-man form, his hair looks a lot greasier and less fluffy(but still gorgeous, I would use the grease to fry my morning eggs.)

I would think that implies that elves don’t produce as much oil, which would track seeing as they don’t really get blemishes either bc they’re like supernaturally perfect. (Fleki also having freckles in her tall-man form vs. no freckles in her elf form makes me wonder if they even have like.. moles. But I feel like I’ve seen an unnamed Canary in the background who had freckles. And the fact that they can get scars, too… idk)

Anyway yeah I think his hair would be soft when it’s brushed, though I also feel like he’d forget to do it or just ignore it. He keeps up his hygiene routine ofc, but I think he’d just let his hair air dry, uncombed, and it dries a bit wavy and a little stringy, but fluffs up once he does get around to brushing it— maybe a bit frizzy, even.

Post-canon, he’d probably enjoy the process of having his hair brushed. It makes him feel loved lol, and if you’re the one doing it then he’s just pleased that he’s the one you’re giving attention to. And the feeling of your hands running through his hair would be nice, he’d close his eyes and lean into the touch.

It would be a good idea to pull it back into a ponytail for him when it’s hot! Because he probably won’t do that for himself. Also, a half up, half down style would be fun for special occasions. When it’s actually taken care of, it’s very soft and his curls are curling and it’s much easier to run your fingers through. He’ll start brushing it himself just so you’ll be more inclined to play with it.

Here's more of me rambling about how Ford's often characterized in the fandom for those who are interested in such things.

A big thing that I've noticed about how a lot of people perceive him, is they think of him as somewhat of an emotionless and rational genius, who, for a lot of his life, doesn't appreciate human connections and thus hurts all of the people who get close to him. Then he reunites with his family and comes around, because of course he does, he's a character from a disney kids' show.

And I get why that is. After all, he does talk a lot about being held back by his family, and he's also a loner who went 10 years without reaching out to his poor struggling twin brother and only did so to ask for help.

And, I mean, a cold-minded scientist who initially doesn't care about other people but learns how to is a fun character concept, I have to admit. It's not what Ford's like though.

I'd say that that's how Ford sees himself, who he wants to be. But he fails at it miserably.

If you ask me, all of Ford's words and actions that make some fans form such assumptions about him, actually go to show how much he cares and has always cared. Because, if anything, the sole reason for his "oh, I'm the smartest coolest person ever and Stan was just holding me back" was that he was trying to hide how hurt he was.

Not getting into his dream college was not the most deviating thing to happen to him the night of the science fair incident. In fact, he did accept the possibility of getting rejected, quite calmly at that. The thing that really hurt was that (the way it appeared) Stan did it to him, selfishly went behind his back, didn't care about Ford and his dreams. And what is a teenager who has just lost his best and only friend like this supposed to do? Of course he tried to find a bright side to this, of course he goes "well, I didn't need him anyway" and then pushes himself further and further to get the most out of the situation, to prove everyone wrong.

And Ford's friendship with mcgucket was in a way him looking for that other person, longing for his brother and the dynamic they had. But, as someone who's already had his best friend betray him once, he starts to panic the moment he notices (what he thinks are) warning signs. And that's not mentioning the way his abuser is there the whole time, trying to manipulate him into feeling suspicious.

And, as for that abuser, it is no coincidence that Bill uses Ford's childhood nickname for him. Even after years of anger and emotional pain, it was still something that Ford viewes in a positive light, at least subconsciously.

And okay, I'm not usually as serious about ppl mischaracterizing my favorite characters, just because I don't tend to care that much. But for Ford it's different, because the fandom doesn't just get a few things wrong about him, they make him into pretty much an opposite to his canon self. Because I feel that's what portraying him as cold and uncaring does: it rids him of the very core of his character, the thing that dictates most of his actions.

Ezran(and Harrow) being royal by blood, they probably have to be a part of moring and evening prayers is some way because their royalty. Maybe a blessing on the kings health, maybe the king having to be there to bless things whether it's a marriage, a death or a birth. The coronation for both of them obviously had to have some religious aspect to it. Callum would have to at least attend things as a step prince. Me thinking about Harrow and Sarai's wedding and the blessing and the religious blessings Callum probably had to get with becoming a royal through marriage. Which God Opeli had to be a part of all of that in some way so she was there for all of it. Religion and Poltics is always messy. It's probably why Opeli was like that with Viren. Me thinking about all the religious traditions Opeli is constantly anxious about when it comes to Ezran's rain why also wanting to help him make things better. It's all a stressful balancing act.

It's pretty well known, I think, that the 1899 American version of Dracula contains a line which the British version doesn't: Dracula tells the women "To-night is mine; tomorrow night, tomorrow night is yours!", but the first clause was not present in the original British version nor any subsequent English release.

I may have found another discrepancy between the American and British versions.

In the Dracula Daily screenshot, which seems to use the American text, Jonathan comments on the room where he's later attacked by the women that it must have been "occupied by ladies in bygone days". In my British Norton Critical Edition, edited by Auerbach and Skal, he only says it must have been "occupied in bygone days".

Auerbach and Skal, to their credit, make explicit note of the omission of "To-night is mine" on the relevant page. That footnote goes on to say that "Stoker's deletion of this sentence was understandable, for it leads to a different novel, one probably unpublishable in 1897 England. Stoker may have imagined that the America that produced his hero Walt Whitman would be more tolerant of men feeding on men".

They don't comment on the omission of "by ladies". For all I know, this might be a print error in mine. But if it isn't, I wonder if Stoker felt that Jonathan's identification with the image he has in his head of these long-gone women would be made too obvious by the association between this being the women's wing and it having "more air of comfort" than any other he'd seen in the castle.

I want to cry. I want to freak out. I want to get mad.

I can't have a good time because others around me don't know how to act. They don't even seem to care that they can celebrate. They're still playing around. My mom's coworkers were ass today so when she came home all she wanted to do was take a bath and go to sleep, which caused an argument. Something about how she never lets my brother get in trouble, which isn't true. I fall asleep listening to them arguing, I wake up and they're still arguing. Expect my mom isn't here. I haven't gotten to see her all day and that's all I want. I want to at least say hi and get a hug. I miss her. She's my only comfort here. I don't know what to do anymore. I should be allowed to freak out and yell at them. They're ruining my time. But then I'd feel bad, I'd feel selfish. They're just kids. They did stupid stuff but they're just kids.

I want to cry and act like a little kid again, but I'm supposed to be mature. I want my mom. That's all I want is to see her. She's my only positive role model and she can't bear to be in this house.
