On that topic, i don't know if it's just me but i also despise how some of "Team LH" ship who they want and hate who they want with him whoever that woman was, some women actually be good and unproblematic but since they're not a fan of her then she shouldn't be near Lewis in any way, not that the whole "shipping him" with someone is okay anyway because he's the only one entitled to choose his partner not "his fans" and not to mention the whole Met Gala thing where his ex was there and some of his ex hook ups or PR stunts were there like first of all they had no right to attack any woman he was once linked up with because if anything ever happened between them they both were in it consensually and knew where it was leading and second of all it was probably one of the biggest nights of his life and some of his "fans" decided to turn the timeline about him running into his exes and how no one told him to be a man whore, or close his legs, or that someone needs to protect him like stfu he's a grown man who knows and knew what he was doing and he probably ended up meeting and greeting all of those "exes" of his and had a good time since both are grown adults!! Instead of actually showing him off and being proud of what he did for something he worked his ass for almost a year and put his heart to it they decided to make fun and insert their noses in what happens between his legs🙂

I'm all about holding Lewis accountable for some wrongs he might commit and not stand on his words because wanting him to do better is being a real fan, I'm all about making jokes here and there but to a limit for sure respect that man if you want other people to respect him you can't initiate a trend on him and be mad when his haters hop on and use it against him, and the whole "unc" "uncle" isn't as funny as you think it is we here fight every day pundits, journalists and haters over their ageism towards him yet we find some his "fans" putting him into a retirement bed or be shocked by the way he lives his life or how he looks like that at 40 which to me should be still prime at life for any man out there so mind you a fucking athlete?? when I talk to my partner about my CDD, it inevitably gets to the alter part of the disorder. he has a hard time wrapping his head around the concept sometimes. not that he doesn't want to or isn't willing to put in the effort, it just feels wild at times, and I know it feels wild at times. and I'm not even the only person with a CDD he knows!

i'm sure anyone into one piece regardless of their country of origin has seen the 4kids pirate rap and that was my exposure to one piece. i was watching those terrible censored anime adaptations there and one piece was no different. wanted to get kid nyla hype? turn on the tv and let her hear "YO! YAYOYAYOOOOO"

i was one of the kids on the playground who watched all the at the time big 3 (naruto, bleach, op)

but i think what really motivated me beyond tuning into 4kids every week was i bought a random shonen jump volume and in it was the chapter ace was introduced in alabasta and a younger nyla basically went "luffy has a hot older brother?" and started watching episodes from the beginning on youtube after i learned how much 4kids censored/changed/removed (girl they removed all of little garden and even the laboon episodes when they entered the grand line. how were they gonna justify brook joining the crew later??? and if you're wondering how they introduced mr 3 in alabasta, they just said he had been following the crew in secret since loguetown. i know. i know)

now as for my thoughts on the arcs you listed!

punk hazard

punk hazard was an arc i really enjoyed it! we finally got to know more about law after he came in clutch for luffy in marineford and his initial introduction in sabaody. my only nitpick was caesar's fuck ass laugh jnfkgjn it haunts me to this day

imagine living in one piece's world and trying to crack a joke and you just get "SHURORORORORORORORORO" "KEEEEEEEEEESHISHISHISHI" "GURARARARARARARARA" "PICAPICAPICAPIRARARARARA" in response all at once to you saying some dumb pun jfsndkfjsndfkjn

i also, in hindsight, really like oda's choice to make the addicts in the season children. a lot of people seeing those going through addiction can be unsympathetic but by having them be kids who the straw hats can't harm due to their age and constantly being told it isn't the kids but the withdrawal and seeing later in egghead there has been no immediate fix, the kids are still recovering but are doing their best? i think that helped with viewing irl addicts in a softer light, at least i hope so

it's also crazy seeing the setup for wano all the way back in punk hazard and the years it took for oda to finally get to that point. 11/10 writing

this doesn't necessarily have to do with law in punk hazard as much as it does his actions in marineford, but i think punk hazard shone his actions in said arc in a new light

because at first value it feels like law showing up to the war was completely out of left field, however comma, punk hazard despite his initial introduction as an apparent enemy showed he's actually pretty nice. healing others without needing payment, completely truthful in his allying himself with luffy without the intention of betraying him. etc etc

so his actions in marineford look different to me now thanks punk hazard because he saw that luffy's brother was slated for execution and for no reason other than the kindness of his heart and knowing what it is like to lose a sibling, he went to help luffy out and that says a lot about his character

so i guess that brings me to my thoughts on

dressrosa

we can get it out the way early, yes the pacing was egregious anime-wise. it was torment. BUT I'VE NEVER WATCHED DRESSROSA ON .x SPEED, I RAW DOG THE PACING AS IT IS INTENDED EVERY TIME

i really loved dressrosa's story. everything it told us about law, the story of the donquixote brothers- i could write a whole dissertation on that dynamic as a whole but that would probably make this post 20x longer

but it really was good writing to see how the same situation can affect siblings/people differently. and seeing how much doffy adored rosinante before shit went up in smoke. the tragedy of it all makes you wonder what could have been different for them

but then that spirals into me going if even one thing had been different, law might not have lived past 13

i also loved the reintroduction of sabo; that shit was so wild the community lost its mind. some people complained but not me; with the info we got in the post-war arc, it would have been too cruel to me for luffy to lose both of his brothers TAT so i'm happy oda decided to give one back to him so luffy wouldn't have be to be alone in that sense

There’s people, especially these days, that go with the ‘it’s all fake’, ‘they’re not real friends’ idea. I don’t believe that. I’m a good judge of people in general, and though there’s obviously a part that’s either exaggerated or edited or even rehearsed and fake, I still believe that all members are actually close. I believe the way they play off each other is real. You can’t fake friendships as consistently as they have for more than ten years imo. I also think their reactions to each other aren’t studied and often come without the hesitation faking it would bring.

I’ve been blogging long enough to catch the Tae haters by now. Anon can talk all they want about my response having been unfair, it’s their own words that showed where they came from.

Am i the only one who doesn't get what Wen sees in uncle Jim 😭 Don't get me wrong i love the show, and i LOVE Heart and Liming, and i quite like Wen's character too, but Jim is just so cold and grumpy and never smiles and i just don't get why Wen is so obsessed with him, like sure the story with his ex is sad but like Heart has a way more traumatic backstory but he's not an ass to people, or Liming whose parents literally left him with an uncle that only fights with him is not half as bitter... I just wish they would have made Jim a bit more likable, or at least relatable like Alan. Sorry for ranting, just needed to get that off my chest 😂

as for li ming and jim, i’ve already made a post about this, but everything jim does in terms of li ming is his attempts at protecting him. i’m not saying he’s going about everything in the right way, lord knows he’s not, but NO character in this show does. like i said, wen continued to pursue jim despite the fact that he hadn’t completely cut things off with alan. alan chose to confront them both at the worst possible time because he was fueled by jealousy and anger, he pushed wen and tried to go for jim, too. li ming continues to go behind jim’s back and put himself at risk of pissing off people much more powerful than him. leng and praew are starting a family they didn’t originally plan for without a lot of money. the only characters you can argue haven’t don’t anything wrong are heart and gaipa!

the point is. this show is great because the characters are real people. they’re messy, they do the wrong thing, they hurt the people they love. but at the end of the day, they love each other and are there for each other. that’s the whole point! and jim isn’t any different just because you don’t find him likable enough.

And you know what, this is one of the few times where it's the MALE character that's hated while sharing the same traits as a FEMALE character.

I said this is the recent ask I just answered, but I really think it's because Miruko is a hot woman.

Don't get me wrong, I find her attractive, too.

But seriously though, let's be honest, with Miruko her personality doesn't matter when she's a rabbit woman with a cute face. I have made a post about it before so long ago, but Miruko has to be the most sexualized female character there is in BNHA.

I don't see a lot of people wanting to explore her more character wise as they do with Midnight. Who is a canon sexual character.

Like I bet you right now, go into the Miruko tag and you'll see more fanart pictures of her where her tits and butt are drawn way bigger than she naturally has before you see a headcanon post that doesn't touch on how she can screw the reader.

Back to Bakugou, I also feel like it's the case of popularity.

Miruko isn't that much of a popular character, she isn't. She's just getting the acknowledgement due to her showing up more in the manga and anime.

Before her appearance in season 4, I doubt anyone remembered or cared for her from the manga. (As a opposed to me who saw her in the manga and went, she's already became my fave. It was her lines that got me.)

And when she was animated, people were more antsy and racist to her English VA than to hate on Miruko as a character.

Bakugou, on the other hand, has been present since day one. And even then, he already got fans, grew in popularity. He has reigned #1 since, what, the second popularity poll?

So guess what?

He's easy to hate on.

With many fans, there's going to be many haters because "Oh, look, more people to bother". I feel like half of the time, his haters don't really be hating him. They just look for easy targets to bother because they're bored.

Like I don't see Mineta fans get bothered. Some I'm sure do, but at best they're ignored like Mineta himself who the fandom either hates or ignore exists.

Overhaul fans. Despite him experimenting on Eri since she was a toddler? Don't see them get bothered much. Why? Overhaul isn't that popular of a character.

People want to pull the "He is a bully" card as if Bakugou hasn't acknowledged that himself. Yeah. As much as people preach about kids being kids and they can learn, they sure do get antsy about a fictional one admitting he was a complete ass and has issues.

Something quite a bit of ADULTS in REAL LIFE won't even do.

So far, I have only blocked 1 person who was anti Miruko but so many anti Bakugou blogs.

the clones were essentially slaves and the jedi allowed it. they are in fault for accepting the army in the first place; and for those who think this is a hard pill to swallow; apathy by not calling out they were slaves. i really think this shows the corruption in both the republic and the order itself but most people defend the jedi for some reason. the jedi weren’t the only victims of order 66; the clones who got their free will overridden were somehow always out of the question. having a inhibitor chip that somehow can control your actions is a scary dystopian-ic sort of concept.

and yet, the clones had to go through this but no one acknowledges that because they don’t want to blame the jedi for accepting what essentially is a slave army 🤷

I think we live in age where being fan means refusing to acknowledge we don’t like. sure, fandoms are supposed to be fun so it’s normal for us to want to engage only with the parts that make us happy. However, I’ve been noticing with growing concern a new trend where only the parts we want to engage are welcomed as valid fandom community.

The Jedi Order is prime example of this. We have fans who love them, fans who hate them and fans who enjoy them in parts. All are fans, all are valids. But I’ve noticed that, tumblr at least, is no longer a safe place for fans who want to discuss topics that ‘jedi stans’ find unflattering.

Not to sound all fandom-elder but back in my day when someone said something like ‘I think the Jedi did something wrong’ someone would disagree and life would go one. now it seems people who want to talk about anything beyond the ‘I love this and everything about is perfect’ mentality is considered a fandom-terrorist. Someone who is actively ‘ruining’ the fandom experience for everyone else, even if said ‘hater’ is not engaging with anything, even if they are simply posting their opinion on their own blog. Considering we are talking about a platform where performative wokeness is the norm, it’s not all that surprising that people will resort to self-victimization when arguments fails them.

What any of this has to with do with clone slavery? Everything! Because that’s a sour topic in this fandom. it’s amazing how something so painfully obvious – slavery is *always* wrong – became such controversial topic. It says a lot about the overall mentality of the fandom when people argue pro-slavery because the opposite would mean their fave character did something morally wrong.

Again, when wokeness is perfomative something as innocent as enjoying a fictional character can put a crack in the image you’re trying to sell. If you’re a victim of cruel, abusive fandom that is ‘ruining everything’ for you, of course everything you consume must be pristine as your image. On top of that, if the fans (who disagree with you) are inherently evil and wrong, you don’t have to spend as much time and energy arguing their points. You can just say they are bad people and get some sympathy points.

To make matter worse, after the ‘stan culture’, we also have to deal with racism and sexism. If you pay attention to the argument defending clone enslavement and the role everyone played in it, you’ll notice the issue is not so much that people don’t care about slavery and murder. They simply don’t care about the enslavement and murder of anyone who isn’t a (white) favorite.

For everyone fan saying Anakin was wrong in killing innocent tusken children, there’re at least 3 fans saying they deserved it because they were savages who needed to pay for their parents crimes (or that killing them made the people safer). However, these same fans will relentlessly argue that Anakin killing that cute little boy in ROTS is one of the most vile crimes put on screen because he was such innocent, pure little boy.

The same goes for the clones. Anakin and Obi-wan being enslaved for a few days was traumatizing, cruel, vile, etc; the clones being enslaved for years and used as cannon fodder is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  (the main point being that everyone, including the jedi, did everything they could to save the clones…and by everything they could, they usually mean nothing at all)

More recently, we have the clone wars finale. A heartbreaking hour of tv made to illustrate how cruel and unfair the war was *for the clones* and yet the main complaint was the show not taking its time to show the real victims of Order 66 (the jedi). We had a whole blockbuster, full-length movie illustrating the tragic end of the Jedi Order but people were still pissed Filoni dedicated an hour to show the clones were victims too.

To be honest, I’m done arguing this because experience has told me people aren’t interesting in talking about the issue, they just want their faves to look good. They don’t really care about the clones beyond their relationship with the beloved Jedi (Obi-wan’s men, Anakin’s men, Plo Koon’s men…they are never viewed as their own men, men who should be allowed a choice to exist beyond the role forced – and enforced – upon then).

I’ve said this a countless time before and I’ll say it again, there’s no justification for slavery. No righteous course action beyond doing everything in your power to stop it, and if you don’t have any power to act by yourself it’s your moral (and legal) duty to make sure people with power act on your behalf. If you’re not a legal enforces, you can still make sure you vote for the right leaders, protest, write letters, contact the government, go on strike, protests, etc. sitting on your ass because ‘there was not nothing you could do’ is not a valid (or even accurate) option when it comes to the enslavement of human beings. And, imo, it’s fucking sad this even needs to be said.

The clones, the children and everyone else enslaved in the GFFA deserved better, deserved someone willing to help them, deserved more than empty words and gestures. And that’s a hill I’m more than ready to die on.

Here goes nothing...

So because I’ve talked to several people privately and because I’m not only comfortable and entitled to speak my opinion, but I’m also okay with those who don’t agree with me, I’m going to give my thoughts on the V, RM, JH video and the sound in the background at the end. It’s sad that people are afraid to express their opinion. That’s what Tumblr is about. You don’t have to agree but you do have to disagree respectfully. I don’t accept anonymous asks so if you want to come at me you’ll have to put your account name out there and stand by your opinion just as I am doing. I would hope that nobody would choose to “come at me” and would either move along or respectfully disagree. 

I realize there was a lot of shit last week about this, unnecessary drama, and I wouldn’t be bringing this up again except for the fact that we now have accurate translations of what RM said which in my opinion matters. 

If you think it was a pop can (or 5) being opened, if you think it was Bang PD, staff, a manager, whoever, stop reading now because I’m not here to convince you or try and change your mind. I’m putting this out here because I think a lot of Jikook supporters got a ton of shit, which we usually do, and I think it was wrong. 

Obviously if I’m discussing this it’s because I think it is Jikook in the background that we hear. I am a Jikook blog. I talk about Jikook. I am not a shipper, I am someone who supports their relationship. Now onto the video. By the way, I’m not a fancy blogger who links clips, but I think most people who will read this will have heard what I’m discussing.

First, I don’t hear anything that sounds like a pop can. I hear several kisses. Put headphones on and tell me that’s not kissing. The reactions of all three of them speak volumes. There was no shock as if they haven’t seen this before. It was looks of “Are you serious? Right now? Come on.”. Now I’ve seen people say it could be staff. I guess why I think that’s far-fetched is for a few reasons. Why would staff have their partner at their work, walk into the “lounge” where a meeting with three of the companies biggest idols is happening, live or not live? They would have heard their voices walking in the room, even outside the room, yet I’m supposed to believe they would then enter and begin kissing? Even after RM says cut and makes it unbelievably clear that they were taping, you still hear kissing. It doesn’t stop. We also know that their staff is always very professional, respectful, etc., and again, would they bring their partner to work and do that? If they did they’d likely be fired. Could it be a TXT member? It could be anyone, but do you really think any of those boys would do that? They are nervous as hell anytime they’re in the same room as BTS. I don’t think they’d walk into the lounge, meeting or no meeting, and do that. I don’t think they’d bring anyone to work with them. In fact, given how important secrecy is in the business, I bet there’s a rule on who can be in the building if they aren’t employed by BigHit. I also think the reaction would’ve been different by RM, V, and JH. 

Now, onto what was said. If you haven’t seen the subs, I at least copied those for you to read. These are from Bangtan Subs who is the most known and is well respected for having accurate translations. 

Here they are:

38:34 They all hear the first kiss and look towards the door and stare for 5 seconds. 

38:39 RM “Yes, let’s end this already! It’s high time to end it already, others are here already.

38:42 V “Yeah.” RM bangs hand loudly on table

38:43 RM “Okay, this is the end of the first meeting.” and both he and V make the cut motion with their hands.

38:45 All three are looking towards the kissing. 

38:46 RM loudly says “Cut!” and JH giggles

38:48 RM stands up, bangs hand on table again and says “Out of all this, something will probably work out, right?”. JH “I’m sure it will.”

38:51 JH “I’m sure it will.” and V stands up and says thank you and walks toward “them” and RM proceeds to turn the camera off.

So a few things that I think are important. The way the meeting, despite them winding up anyways, was immediately ended. It was just...odd. The cut motions by V and RM-would you tell someone whose opening cans of pop to cut? Would it really be necessary to say what he said, do the cut motions, etc. if it was someone other than Jikook? Like what’s the big deal? If it was staff or whoever else you can think of, I can see them acknowledging them and actually saying something to the people like “Hey, we’re just finishing up with a meeting” or one of them waving or saying one more minute or tell them they are taping. Something more professional I guess. Next, RM says “The others are here already”. Could he have meant they were in the building? Sure. But why would that be necessary to say if they’re just ending a meeting? IN MY OPINION he was referring to them being present right there. Maybe they were all meeting after the meeting we saw, who knows, but it’s odd for him to say that.

As for why I think it was Jimin and Jungkook...Yoongi and Jin aren’t going to be kissing someone right there and then. Not. gonna. happen. That doesn’t fit either one of their personalities. That leaves Jikook as far as “others” who would be there.

Because I believe that Jimin and Jungkook are in a relationship and have been for a few years now, I believe the members have obviously seen them kiss. This would be nothing new for them to see. This would explain their reaction but it would also explain why Jimin and Jungkook wouldn’t think twice about kissing in front of them. They lived with them for crying out loud. I can actually seeing them do something like this as a joke or as a way to make those three squirm. 

I’m going to end this now. Those are my thoughts. Now, I’m going to take all of the power away from the haters and say this: Of course I have zero proof it was Jikook. I’m simply taking what I saw and heard and speculating. Let me say this again and be very clear, YOU DON’T HAVE TO AGREE WITH A SINGLE THING I SAID. It doesn’t matter to me if you do or you don’t. I did this because I’m tired of Jikook supporters being bullied into not expressing their opinions. I have an entire inbox with people feeling that way. All while there’s huge, hate filled Youtubers and Twitter accounts who think that not only is their opinion the only one that matters, but that it’s also always right. I don’t go to those accounts and tell them they’re full of shit. Don’t come to mine or other Jikook blogs, or in fact, anyone you don’t like and only intend on being an ass too. As much as I disagree with their motives and the fact that they are making money by creating drama and conflict, they have a right to their opinion. However, my opinion and your opinion are just as valid. I make my own decision to ignore the bullshit. I wish more people did the same. 

I’m tired of the Jikook and Jikook supporters/shippers hate but what bothers me just as much, and some days much more, is the whiny Jikook people who are so weak and quick to buy into the rumors that are intentionally put out there to make you doubt. If you can’t just enjoy their relationship for what they show us then stop shipping/supporting them. You are only feeding into the ugliness and the antis who already hate them and us. Just stop. Jimin and Jungkook don’t deserve for that toxicity to be magnified. Also, if you can’t understand that the reason you don’t see or hear as much from them lately is because they had their tour cancelled, which decreases content, and we’re in the middle of a pandemic then I can’t help ya. Recognize that they are real people in real relationships, and in Jikook’s case, a long term relationship that has changed and grown. They are not going to behave the same way they did last year, two years ago, three years ago, etc. A healthy relationship changes and grows. 

Lastly, to my fellow Jikook supporters who have a right to their opinion just as much as anyone else, stay strong, use your block button, don’t allow anonymous messages, take a break when you need to, and most of all, respect BUT ignore opinions of those you don’t value. If you still don’t feel comfortable then keep messaging me privately. 

So there you have it. This is much longer than I expected. If you can’t disagree respectfully, move along because I won’t respond. I don’t have time for it.
