I need to read more more mmj stories im fond of them & I think shizuku is so funny… so while I am armed to the teeth with unimportant wxs facts I know less about shizuku 😔 that being said:

I like their friendship a lot I think it’s sweet that their relationship is mostly because their little sisters are friends but they still care about each other (& each other’s little siblings. Even if shiho thinks tsukasa is super fucking annoying)(Gesturing at shizuku in the Valentine’s Day alliance event going “idk what I would do if something happened to saki 😨” when tsukasa was freaking out after finding out saki lied).

Also incredibly funny that shizuku 1) has a wealth of embarrassing tsukasa facts from his childhood she can bring up and they actually work to embarrass him because she’s doing it with earnest admiration 2) actually finds tsukasa to be pretty cool instead of (reasonably) thinking he’s a weirdo.

I think they should bond over sewing. Shizuku/mizuki/tsukasa (+ maybe ena rui saki or airi?) fashion and sewing themed event when. if there’s another character who sews put them in there.

I also love that shizuku is like canonically drop dead model gorgeous & she’s friends with tsukasa who is ugly could not give less of a fuck about that*. I think some of the npc guys tsukasa is friends with see him out with shizuku on one of the rare occasions they’re both free and hanging out and are like “wow tenma how’d you manage that” & he’s just like “? What are you talking about? We’re friends why is that impressive. Wait where’d she go oh fuck”

*I also think that’s kind of a relief for shizuku in that Tsukasa is someone who will see and validate/admire her hard work instead of assuming she gets far in life by just by being pretty. He doesn’t see a gorgeous girl and nothing else when he looks at her, he just sees his friend shizuku.

I desperately want to see them both together at a Leo/need concert I think they would both be screaming cheering losing their minds nonstop completely head to toe decked out in merch. & saki’s just like heehee stop oniichan you’re so embarrassing (very pleased) and shiho is dying on the inside. I think at least half of their conversations center around saki&shiho because they can just brag about their little siblings back and forth constantly.

Again. I don't like any ships I've found for any of the Aerialbots. I don't actively hate all of them but even the ones I don't mind, just... I don't see it, sorry. With regards to Silverbolt: The strangest one to me is that I've seen people ship him with Skyfire in G1... when. I'm gonna level with you. If you really want those two in a relationship, it feels less... weird? If you use the WFC/FOC games' timeline instead? I still don't see it, but there's some age weirdness with them in G1 that just doesn't sit right with me. At least in WFC/FOC, Jetfire didn't know him when he'd just been built?

The trans stuff gets tricky. It's not an "i see it in canon" thing. Similar to Slingshot, it's a "it works well with the beats they're playing to with his character" thing. I made a post about it a while ago, but... The whole "I'm terrified of flying but it's too much a part of me to avoid it" thing. The "I'm going to do it scared forever" thing. Like, Optimus made him leader of the Aerialbots to try to help him get exposure to it. But especially with G1 Optimus, if he wanted an out, Optimus would give that to him. He wouldn't force him to stay that way forever. What that tells me is there's a sizable part of Silverbolt that wants to be flying even though it scares him at the same time. That's where you get the trans metaphor.

Fun fact, G1 Silverbolt fits in the onride loose article storage on Tron: Light Cycle Run. So you can bring him in your pocket and put him in the space on the car that's intended for things like wallets and phones. I'm pretty sure I could have also put my phone in there, but I didn't bring it out of caution. Probably not my wallet though.

A trope and a theme that are connected are unreliable narrator + coping with trauma/PTSD. Through much of the fic Fives rejects the fact that he's not doing well, and is also totally blind to certain facts staring him right in the face. Fives' brothers are there for him and are helping him, but some things are only up to Fives to change.

favourite line/scene: all of chapter 9 from bite the hand. it's the closest I've ever gotten to articulating that feeling. small excerpt:

Who are your faves other than the wxs members :D

Saki!!!! I love Saki… my friend Saki… I also like An/Toya/Akito a lot (Kohane knows what she did), as well as Mafuyu & Mizuki. NPC wise I think all the wxs npcs are great but I cheer whenever nenerobo/usachan/sakurako show up. Also very fond of Kaito and the Kagamines for the Vocaloids.

If I had to pick a favorite from each unit it would probably be

VS - kaito (hard choice… this is naoto fuuga’s fault. but singing wise the kagamines are the best)

L/N - Saki

MMJ - Shizuku

VBS - hard choice & largely depends on whether I’m talking abt a character I think is well written and very endearing (toya and an) or a character I find really funny and like to make fun of (akito) (he is also well written he’s just easy to ridicule)

WxS - Also a hard choice but I will go with Emu

I headcanon he's not actually that enthusiastic about playing violin and only does it b/c it was part of his training (based on the fact that we see him drawing a lot more after leaving the league than we do playing violin)

that talia didn't raise him in the league and wasn't aware of his training (or the fact that he was alive) :P

he sometimes trained with the assassins who were trained from birth that talia mentions in batman chronicles #8, but still felt somewhat disconnected with them due to the fact that he had more additional training on the side to prepare him to be the next ra's al ghul
