#elden ring#elden ring midra#midra lord of frenzied flame#midra's manse#love everything about the boss#but I wanted 4 more phases#I loooooved how they characterized the very essence of frenzy#with graceful dance like moves#and lilting across the boss room#instead of some deranged beast#like at the very depths of frenzy it offers peace#the way he walks forward with his arms out during the one ff attack#so fuckin cool#bro stabbed me down the spine at least 12 times#didn’t go in having a plan but it turned into a colored line render for texture#the fabric was good fabric practice#and I looooove drawing eclipse black hole fire stuff#unfortunately the crop just looks cleaner

Going to say something unpopular here but while I do earnestly like Andor (so please read this as the very gentlest of criticisms), I also think it is and always has been extremely clear who's writing it in that it is a show that's interested in systems, but which broadly has much sharper and more specific things to say about fascism than it does about imperialism
#it's neither avoiding the latter nor doing a poor job but it *is* painting with broader strokes you feel me?#my in-universe criticism of luthen and my criticism of the show itself have always boiled down to the same thing:#there are no aldhanis involved in the aldhani heist.#aldhani is a wonderful and meaningful setting - but it is never subject. cassian's destroyed homeworld is setting - but never subject.#like it's quite telling to me that they evoke the space french resistance and not (eg) the space fmln. ykwim?#again i truly enjoy the show this isn't condemnation or discourse bait i've just. really felt the usamerican writer's room from day 1.#it has depth and texture and incisiveness; i love and appreciate all those things; but they lie in very specific places.#andor#andor critical#my posts

this was what ive been working on for day 27 of tmaynt n i finally finished!! i think the krang/kraang/utrom are really interesting characters n the way theyre portrayed in different iterations is super fun and the rottmnt krang are. scary. also i really just wanted an excuse to draw krangified raph :)

''completely blind“ so to speak but they can't see in a way that we can really understand#they also rely on the direction of their companions especially in fights- they can make out shapes and movement to an extent but yk#depth perception. and while i hesitate to use this trope bc it's overused and overdone i think that in battle particularly#theres a bit of that godlike intuition. but for all intents and purposes they are blind and that's an important part of their character#obviously i still need to do research bc im sighted and i want to do more tinkering to make this make sense#in this world and with tyrn's godlike.ness. but yeag

Been playing around with Pale Garden materials. Added deep slate tile for contrast, plus some lanterns for a pop of colour and to match the creaking eyes.

#i'm talking 3b at a Bare minimum#there's this kids graphic novel that came across my desk a bit ago and the artstyle treated curly hair GORGEOUSLY#and like tbf the book was about self-confidence esp wrt racialized perceptions of '''good''' hair#so obviously it's going to portray curls and coils as something beautiful but they really Captured it y'know#i dunno if i've come across any adult gn that focus in depth on hair texture and styling#i will have to look#i will also take any recs#anyway i'm giving all my favs curly curly hair forever#need to do more research on different methods of up keep too#variety makes for a richer work palette and such#artists who give essek curly coily or kinky hair you own my heart forever#chanse chatters
