Dragon made up of 1,500 drones lights up Singapore's Marina Bay for Legend Of The Dragon Gate show

Hundreds of people gathered at the Marina Bay waterfront on the first day of Chinese New Year (Feb 10) to watch a stunning spectacle of 1,500 drones forming a dragon against Singapore's skyline.

Many stayed on for the display even though it rained.

The show, titled The Legend Of The Dragon Gate, is part of a partnership between the Singapore Tourism Board, Marina Bay Sands, and UOB.

It is set to run on Feb 11, 12, 16, 17, and 18 at 8pm.

thinking of the tightest hugs possible, ones that start so slow and hesitant with arms slowly circling around before they get tight, burying their head in the crook of the neck to hide the betraying emotions behind eyes screwed shut, perhaps flirting with the idea of a kiss on the cheek, fingers digging into the shoulders and where they meet the back to hold on as if it feels like the last time, a forlorn grimace when one pulls away because it wasn’t enough time to savor the feel/touch of another, interlocking fingers when you pull away as if it’s still enough (it’s not)

Astarion getting so excited about meeting Drizzt hits different when you realize that Astarion probably held on the the legend because he, too, wanted to escape the horrors of his tormentors. Drizzt did what Astarion was never able to do- fight back, resist, and leave. Drizzt survived the horrors of growing up literally tortured mentally and physically by people who by all other means were meant to help and support him. Astarion was ripped from his life and forced into this horrible servitude and spent his days in terror, just like Drizzt did. Astarion probably sees a lot of himself in Drizzt and wished at least at some point that he could do the same. Drizzt is a survivor, and so is Astarion. Drizzt became what he is because he survived, and I'm certain Astarion hopes he can, too. Drizzt found community despite his circumstances, and so did Astarion. I'm sure they would have plenty to talk about, plenty of healing they could to just chatting together.
