I post very sporadically because of school (and by post I mean post creative works, like fanart and scripts), but when I do post, it’ll mainly be DSMP stuff (especially my own AU’s), but I will also post stuff for other fandoms, especially Hatchetverse

I’m absolutely obsessed with c!TNT duo and with take pretty much any opportunity I can get to draw/talk about them. Same with Ted Spankoffski, Wilbur Cross, and the Lords in Black (and Webby) (ESPECIALLY the LiB [and Webby])

Like I said earlier, I don’t not support cc!Wilbur in any way shape or form. That being said I really really super like c!Wilbur (o!Wilbur and q!Wilbur are neat too) and most of my AU’s have him as a big role

The Evolution of Style in 3D Film

I wanted to show how much theatrical animation has changed in the last few years. Incorporating 2D elements has always been attempted but was rare and went unnoticed. That’s not the case anymore with more adopting it, anime too!

I see a lot of people saying that the tech Sony created for Spiderverse led to an even cooler sequel that revolutionized CGI animation (again), which is true, BUT you can't forget The Mitchells vs. The Machines which took the original Spiderverse tech, turned it on its head, and made it something truly amazing. And THEN they used THAT tech again, but made it even better in the new Spiderverse. Every feature film builds on the tech of its predecessors! Every one of them is revolutionary!

Then I have a movie for you!!

Nimona is a movie coming out tomorrow, June 30th that’s been 7 years in the making! It’s based off the tumblr webcomic turned best-selling graphic novel of the same title.

It was originally being made by Blue Sky Studios and was going to have a theatrical release aimed around 2021, but after Disney acquired them and shut the studio down the film was scrapped. The movie was only about 10 months away from being finished, and it was shut down after Disney execs had pushed back against the queer themes/characters in the movie. BUT, Annapurna studios picked the film back up and finished it!!

Onto the film itself!

The movie follows Nimona, a spunky shapeshifter who teams up with the knight Ballister Boldheart (previously Ballister Blackheart in the graphic novel) after he was framed for a crime he didn’t commit and sent on the run. His ex-boyfriend, Ambrosius Goldenloin, is tasked with hunting them down, but is conflicted between fulfilling his duty and his feelings.

The animation style is stunning and dynamic, and the visuals are so so good!! I would highly recommend checking out the movie and supporting it when it comes out, this is a big step for stylized animation and also queer rep in animation as well!

But the best part is that it just looks like an amazing movie!!
